Name: Liam Vex
Race: Human
Age: 24
Height: 6’
Weight: 145
Appearance:
Birth place: Corusaant
Faction: Republic Military
Department: Special/Medical Forces
Bio:
Liam was born into a prominent family of doctors renowned throughout the Galaxy for their work, though he could trace his lineage far back and find a Jedi among his ancestors which has given reason to the belief that he might, in fact, be Force sensitive. The idea of the Force has always intrigued him, but he never looked into it, instead focusing on the real Galaxy, not a force that, quite possibly, didn't even exist. It was hard to look around and see suffering and believe in such a force.
Since he was young, he had both an incredible ability to heal people as well as a passion for doing so; it was only natural that he should want to become a doctor like his parents. Due to his parent's connections to various Medical Corp facilities on numerous planets, Liam was enrolled into the finest institute available as soon as he'd come of age. He proved to be quite studious and dedicated just as was anticipated. His brother Derex, his senior by two years, transferred to the same institute several years later to further his medical knowledge and relearn the newest techniques, having been working in the field previously.
There was a great love between the two brothers as Derex looked out for Liam whenever he was able. Liam, being the baby of the family, was given a lot of attention that he came to dislike as it made him fairly nervous. There was pressure on both Liam and Derex as they were both thought to be young medical prodigies from an early age. Everyone, their parents especially, had high hopes and dreams for the two of them.
Ultimately, Derex went to work for the Confederation, not because he agreed with their policies but rather because he felt he could do the most good there. Liam, on the other hand, went to work for the Alliance in secret, after having graduated and become a doctor of his very own facility back on his home-world of Coruscant.
However, nowadays, he often works in the field since the Republic is rather short on doctors and nurses at the moment. At some point in his life he would like to embrace the fascinating world of Politics.

Of all the places that he'd been sent in his years working for the Republoc, this had to be one of his least favourite. As soon as they'd landed, it felt as if a wave of humidity had crashed over him. Not only was the planet wet and warm, but it was swarming with ferocious little bugs and they had been warned against going into the forests and jungles alone lest they be attacked by rabid Vornskrs or Maalras.
Yes, this exploration would certainly prove interesting.
He grabbed up his bag of supplies, and glanced to his colleague, one Doctor Luna Kalei. Both doctors were highly esteemed members of the Republic and had been sent to Myrkr to discover the affects that Ysalamiri had on a bodies' natural healing processes. If they could somehow utilize its peculiar properties, they could maybe enhance medpacs and other medical things of that nature. One could only hope.
"Ready, I hope?" he asked her as he descended the ramp.
The ground was moist and sunk in a little beneath his weight. As he waited for Luna to follow, he noticed the other soldiers that had been sent to protect them as they studied the elusive Ysalamiri in their native, dangerous habitat.
