Well Kito is around about 27, so probably a corporal or sergeant? I don't know. He'd probably just be foot soldier or something, I don't want to make him seem overpowered or anything.

Well, Corporal and Sergeant are Army ranks. I'm not an expert on military here though. If someone wants to call a Petty Officer a Sergeant I'd say its a serious mistake, but not my business.

Personally, I say the two military and the Jedi are tasked with rescuing Var, a slave obviously. Need to make her an important asset somehow, or better. The military and Jedi are on a particular mission of their own, and she becomes a secondary objective.

In that aspect, maybe we can start on a planet or slave ship, in the middle of commandeering or invasion? In the process, Var gets the chance to escape, or the Jedi/Military save her on a passer by, and she becomes a tag along for the objective. Something along those lines maybe.

Just brainstorming.

Flash of an idea, upon your thinking that the slave be important:

Perhaps she's a witness? And her master/boss is some huge crime lord or something. Maybe.



Though if the military folks are one each in Army and Navy, I'm not sure they would work together, let alone with a Jedi.... but I'm sure some truth could be stretched.

Well Kito could be Army OR Navy depending what the other military character is affiliated with. Unless, perhaps the navy officer is driving the shuttle that landed in the hanger while the soldier is part of a squad that got ambushed on a different part of the ship and he was the only survivor, meeting the Jedi who is helping to lead the attack? The Navy guy could be tagging along because the ship got trashed. Though that's just a brainstorm on how they could all come together and if there's an army unit and a naval unit.

Well, it's really up to you which branch of the military you want Kito in. ;p
Right now I have him listed as Army.

I know but I don't to make things like, I don't know D: Well my guy would probably be Army as well, probably. That should work out I suppose

Idea:

Since there's a navy guy and an army guy who normally wouldn't be really working together, at least not with a whole fleet around them... how about you two are off duty?


The easiest location would be a cantina... but maybe a casino would work? Say the military guys are hanging out there relaxing, the Jedi is there perhaps on a mission, and the slave is there with her master.

OK, let's try this on for size:

The military personnel are off duty at a cantina when Var, a fugitive slave, is cornered by a bounty hunter. Because 1. They're kindhearted, and 2. Var is a looker, they come to her rescue and the Jedi tries to make peace of the situation. As an incentive to get her safely away, Var reveals she has some kind of information important to the Republic and promises to share it if they take her off the planet and onto some world that doesn't practice slavery.

If Donnie's going to be there, she'll be an Officer-Cadet ( Midshipman ) in the Navy. Basically she's got her wings, but is still going through combat training. The simplest solution for Kito would be if he's in the Marine, they could both be off duty with a random jedi floating nearby, I doubt they'd let an OC do anything on a mission that mattered in any real way. About the only way she'd end up involved is if they're off duty.

If Kito's in the Navy, he'd be a Petty Officer, 2nd Class ( same paygrade as a sergent ). ( if he's a sergeant) As an officer, probably 2nd Lt., maybe a freshly promoted Lt.

For story, if you want to go really nuts, make him Donnie's flight ( 6 aircraft to a flight ) commander.

Okay, thread #2 peeps.... I am very tempted to toss in Pak.

To make it work, though, the setting/planet would have to probably be Balosar, if that's okay with the rest of you?


But before I officially sign up/perhaps start up a thread, I'd like to know if all of you guys are still interested.

Sounding off, I'm still interested. And Balosar could work. Miserable enough place that a hiding fugitive slave could be found in.

Well, I think jaker and DANTE are a bit AWOL... but Con, if you're still in, and lmr I assume, we can maybe get something going. Though even with Pak, it'll only be the three of us. It'd be nice to have at least four.


So anyone else interested in exploring an alter ego of their character for thread #2? Probably involving some kind of incident at a casino or cantina on Balosar with off-duty military, slave, and Pak the deathstsick salesman?
