The Library was a vast and beautiful expansion to behold. Behemoth-sized 'shelves' of encrypted data which resembled crystalline-blue panels lined every symmetrical wall of the large area. Prodigious marble columns sprang upwards, holding the structure in place from the inside. At the main level, several dozen holocron pods were lined evenly down the center of the hall, and at one of them, sat silently a young Kiffar.
Hair was evenly cropped, the tips turned upright some, a light amount of frizz keeping it in place. His small but sturdy form was hunched over one of the monitors, studying. Eyes were planted over the readings in basic type, chin balanced over the overturned hand of his right arm. Right leg was pulled up and resting over his lap. A small headset was worn over his head as he kept to himself.
He was huddled lonesomely in his large brown robe, booted toes clicking against the tile below as he took note of the basics implored in the combat principle of Sokan. The young one had already made some time to explore history, and now was when the fun began... sort of. Okay, not really:
- Developed by the ancient Knights of the Order, Sokan brought a great deal of help needed throughout the Great Hyperspace War. It was an idealistic principle of lightsaber combat, emploring the use of the environment for a tactical advantage.
- Swift, precise maneuverability
- Vital areas being the practicioner's main target
- Quick, nimble tumbles, spins, and jumps
- Use of vast terrain and Force-handled objects to pressure opponent into vulnerable positions
- Great speed and mobility, leaving no opening's in one's defense -
Liam sighed. Such a well-attuned form, it seemed, but by the looks of it, he might never get a chance to use it properly.
[[OOC: Just a spot for me to settle Liam for now. Interact if you feel the inclination - I was bored. This also seemed like a great place if any to put him in, seeing as it tends to be more popular then other areas of the temple.]]

As much as she preferred expanding her physical prowess, Rem knew there as much more to being a Jedi than practicing Lightsaber techniques and doing push-ups all day long. And it was for that reason that Rem headed to the Archives to study up on some ancient Jedi history. Sounded fun...well, not really. But still, she had to do it. Her master often remarked that without knowledge of the past, you could never move forward to the future.
Rem noticed only one other person in the library. She glanced at him, but turned away a second later, heading off into another section.

Even at his young age, due to his inherent abilities and closeness to the Force, Liam most definitely felt the ripple as another person made way into the his general area of the large library. It was like a low frequency whisper tuning in through his ears, and from it, the Youngling heard the faintness telling him that the person was both female and an apparently youthful Jedi herself.
Liam looked around, barely catching a glimpse before she turned away and minded her own business. He smiled, turned off the monitor to his individual holopod, and stood, basic learning equipment tucked under one arm. He casually strode from aisle to aisle, before closing the gap with the girl, Rem. He did so methodically, trying not to startle her, before saying with a smile and a wave, "Hello."
It was a simple greeting, but it should do for now, he was several comfortable steps away from Rem, parallel to her as he focused on the aisle for the proper place to slip his datapad after use. "What brings you here?", he spoke up, nodding as he found the right place to put the datapad away. It was more of a rhetorical question as the situation was obvious, but small talk was better then no talk. Heck, it was getting more boring by the minute. A few good PT exercises might do the trick later.

[Hope you don't mind me jumping in]
Makiro had had enough. Gathering up the pile of holobooks he had been studying, he straightened out the front of his mucky robes and attempted to flick a strand of his dark brown hair out of his eye. He smiled at the young Twi'lek he had been seated with and set off at a quick walk towards the library.
The reason for this sudden burst of frustration? His thirteenth birthday. True, most children were excited about their thirteenth birthday. But not Makiro, for he was a Jedi. A Jedi without a Master. And if he didn't find one within the next month, he would be shipped off to the AgriCorps for a life of farming. He would have to watch his peers rise to become great and honourable Jedi as he, Makiro Variyas, picked root vegetables on some Force-forsaken world in the Outer Rim.
As he entered the vast chamber, filled to the ceilings with holobooks identical to the few in his arms, he smiled. He had always loved the library. It had so much history, so much character.
As soon as he had returned his books to their rightful places, he set off at a fast pace to his favourite aisle: the one documenting the stories of some of the Galaxy's most famous Jedi. When he arrived however, he discovered that he was not alone.
"Oh, hello.." he stammered, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Tal came into the archives, and took a deep breath in. She loved this place- the long aisles, filled with holobooks, with hundreds of years of history and collected data stored on them. Priceless, in her eyes. From somewhere in the library, she caught the unmistakable murmur of voices, as well as a faint flicker of sense, touching on her conciousness just barely before it was gone. Focusing all her limited abilities into the effort, she strained to read the sense. Three people- younglings and a young knight it felt like. And they were nearby.
Taking a few steps forward, she peered around a corner and saw them. She walked by the aisle, and turned into the next. Walking slowly down it, she scanned the labels. It should be right about...ah-ha. Her favorite volume in the entire archive. She pulled the holobook down, its slight weight feeling good in her hand. The Naboo history file- the ancient history file if you wanted to get technical. She liked that period better- before a rock-solid system of living had been enstated. It was so much more interesting.
Leaving the aisle, book in hand, she headed to one of the central holocron pods. Sitting down, she hooked the book into the pod and let it load. Her gaze once again drifted to the aisle. Tal, just sit here and read. she told herself as the pod hummed, letting her know it was done. She turned her attention to the pod and began to read.

Master RIver Moonflow finally returned to Corascaunt after a long journey of tracking the Sons of Kressh. Quickly scanning the bookcases for information the Jedis may have on the ancient Sith Lord Ludo Kressh. River being the former leader of the Sons Of Kressh, thought he knew what he was up against. Though on Korriban, the Sons of Kressh displayed tactics he has yet to seen. River hoped that the info about Ludo Kressh would help decifer the new tactics of the Sons of Kressh. River was also on the look out for a new apprentice, seeing as Tionne was off doing missions for the Jedi Council. Spotting a young girl reading in the corner, Master Moonflow walked over to her and said "I sense much potential in you. Do you have a master, young one?"

A voice broke Tal from her reading. For just a moment, she felt resentful. Until she saw who it was who was talking to her. And when it sunk in that what he had said to her wasn't precisely what she was used to hearing. She looked up at the man, and shook her head. "No master, I do not."
She let herself play through possible scenarios. Would he simply make some polite remark and move on, or would he...no. She wouldn't even let herself think it. It would be too good to be true that the Force would be with her so much, so close to when she needed it to be. She gazed up at the Jedi, near-breathless in anticipation.

When the young padawan looked at River with anticipation, River smiled and said politely "You have great potential young one. Are you truly dedicated to the ways of the Jedi? If you are, then I would like you to be my apprentice."

Tal's heart gave a thump as he spoke. It couldnt be true. It just couldnt. She must be dreaming. Why wouldn't someone just pinch her and wake her up before she got to deep in it?! But no. The Master was standing there. And waiting for an answer, Tal reminded herself.
Taking a deep breath, she spoke. "I have sworn my life to the Jedi for one reason Master. That I may serve them, and the Force."

"Talarian. Talarian Munisc Master." Tal breathed. She was almost in a state of shock. Yes, she was most definetely dreaming. There was no other explanation. She gave herself a tiny, discreet pinch on the hand- which only served to give her a red spot and a sensation of pain. Yes, she was awake all right. She stood up and smiled rather shakily at her new Master. "And should not a Padawan also know her Master's name?"

"Very well" began River "Tal it is. We leave Coruscant immediatly, for I have many missions to do for the Jedi Council. We head for Onderon, for a Dark Jedi cult called the Sons Of Kressh were last spotted there. We leave soon, but first I must look up some information on Ludo Kressh. Tionne, my old apprentice will take you to Onderon with her. For she heads there soon."
((Don't worry, after you make the first post in Onderon, I will be there.))

"Onderon?" Tal questioned, more toherself than to anyone else. She glanced at the holopod display monitor, then turned back to Moonflow. "Will I need to bring anything Master?"
Secretly, she had misgivings about her ability to go on something like this right off the bat. For one thing, she didn't even have a lightsaber. But, she trusted her new Master.

"Yes Master." Tal turned to the holopod. She'd have to finish reading that history some other time. De-activating the pod, she returned the holobook to its shelf. She stood there a moment after she put it away. A Master. She had a real Master. It was still almost to good to be true. But it was. Turning, she straightened her robe. Time to go meet up with him to get that saber.

River turned to face Tal, and said "Don't worry Tal. Creating a saber is only your first and most important path to becoming a Jedi. For the lightsaber shows people that are you a member of the ancient and noble Jedi Order. With it comes great responsibility, people will look to you in their time of need for guidance and support. They look at you with great respect. Others like the Dark Jedi will look at you with great anger and hatred. Together we will help the galaxy and free all those enslaved by the Dark Side. I will meet you in the training room."
