Bio:
Poignant Beginnings
His birth was initially one of tragedy. His mother, Tessia Laine, lived in a terrible fear of her brutal husband and would constantly cower and weep. The sadness that ached deep within her heart would also bore into the infant’s own soul, even at such a young age, and would shape his own feelings as such is the way of the force. It took a lot of courage for the young woman to finally leave the man that was the father to her own son, but one fateful night that would all change.
Tessia’s father Gern Stargazer was a proud and fiery man when pushed and when he found his daughter with raw shades of mauve stricken across her soft face, his anger swelled to a point where he could no longer stand by and watch his daughter wither in pain. As is a father’s love for his daughter, with the heavens awash in a deluge of incessant rain; Gern and his brothers paid a visit to Rhyley’s father. At the age of two this would be the last time Rhyley would ever see his real father.
Tentative First Steps
Taken in by his grandparents along with his mother, Rhyley finally had the stability around him that would help him grow in confidence. Born with the same boldness and cheeky exterior that most Corellian males inherited, the young child would constantly push his boundaries whilst dreaming of floating upon the clouds above him. Time and time again Rhyley would be found in his Grandfather’s workshop, helping (or hindering) the current shipbuilding project Gern was working tirelessly on.
As his mother watched her son grow, the pains of the past soon began to slip from her memory as she too eventually moved on with her life. Falling in love with one of her Father’s associates, Tessia married the man that would ultimately shape Rhyley’s demeanour.
Fatherly Love
Taei Wynonyms was a man that thrived on pressure and relished everything traditional about family life. Renowned as an Officer of insight within CorSec, Taei’s own father died when he was a young man, this loss of guidance allowed his character to leap forward assuredly. Decisive and intuitive the man built his own family business into a thriving commerce of activity before selling his business as he began treading a prosperous career with CorSec. His own show of unrivaled love was reflected in his decision to adopt Tessia’s son as his own and for the child to keep his Father-in-Law’s surname allowing the Stargazer heritage to continue. Tessia and Taei Wynonyms was a couple that were destined in the stars.
Taei’s own selflessness and intelligent thinking reflected in Rhyley, as he grew older. Soon to be joined by both a sister and brother, the young family was a picture of happiness and joy. The changes to his family around him bestowed the boy with an ideal of elder sibling protectiveness. Rhyley would never refer to Taei as anything other than Dad, firmly holding his family in his heart. He would do anything he could to make his sister laugh especially and between the two brothers a competitive if somewhat covetous rivalry soon entailed, yet always was it accompanied by the laughter of three children, under the watchful gaze of their parents.
Corellian Bloodlines
As Rhyley entered adulthood he decided to follow a dream that had been with him for as long as he could remember. To dance amongst the stars. Defying his father and mother’s guidance, the headstrong youth joined the CorSec Academy at the lean age of 18. It was as if the boy was destined to wear the tailored tunic of the military as it fit him so well. Yet in the Academy Rhyley would have to deal with authority and strict rules, something his character always rejected. Not out of spite or anger; just the constant need for him to find his boundaries.
As he grew in the Academy, the young Stargazer allowed his rebellious spirit to repeatedly confront not only his superiors but also his family. Adventurous by nature he would frequently skip curfew chasing the thrill of escapades with his friends under the brilliantly glaring moon above them. On countless occasions Rhyley would argue with his Stepfather over the most innocuous of quarrels, either side of him finding himself in trouble.
The thrill and intoxication of ventures in the shadowy corridors of Corellia where death was an often occurrence was a place no boy should ever experience or witness as his parents would argue, yet no matter what was said Rhyley’s restless spirit would always want that next adventure. Joined by his usual circle of friends including Bai'yle Norssohn, Geori Bateson, Jonset, Tek Larr among others, the boys would try their talents in Swoop Races against other Gangs, or frequent the shadier Clubs mingling with the most loathsome of villains and striking rivalries with other young Corellians like Asua Baj’het.
Thought of as something of a rogue, Rhyley impressed though often annoyed his superior officers as well as his jealous classmates. The journey through the Academy was filled with equal joy and disappointment. His refusal to reform and be subservient even though he seemed blessed with brilliant piloting skills and astute tactical insight led him to countless suspensions and yet his superiors would never expel the talented youngster.
Corellian Bloodstripe
Upon graduating from the Academy, Stargazer accepted a commission amongst the Black Squadron, a squadron assigned with the 3rd Defensive Sector Fleet under the command of Sergeant Elteen Rhea. It was a move that surprised many, with some considering him just as adept at Fleet Command, like his father, and expecting the young Corellian to take a position as a low-ranking officer rather than that of a un-ranked pilot. However it wasn't long till the name Rhyley Stargazer was spoken by those in the CorSec High Command.
During a routine outer sector patrol, Stargazer along with Norssohn and Corran Horn intercepted a distress beacon close to the planet Soronia, and decided to investigate. Closer inspection of the planet's surface revealed that a ship had indeed crash landed on the icy world. Sending Horn on to co-ordinate the arrival of CorSec rescue teams, Stargazer and Norssohn landed their CorSec starfighters at the crash site and began scouting for survivours.
Searching the wreckage the two young CorSec pilots managed to rescue eight of the crew and three passengers before the blaze destroyed the ship. Securing a camp, the men lit fires and warmed Corellian Tea for those that had escaped as they waited for a rescue team that seemed to be taking its time to arrive. Re-checking their ship's communications, they found that they were completely cut off. Suddenly markers sparked into life on their sensor radars, no less than fifty beings heading in their direction. Fortifying their position between the carnage and their own ships, Stargazer and Norssohn prepared for the coming assault by the hidden Binyare Pirates lead by Asua Baj’het.
The blaster battle was long and arduous. Eventually the roar above of CorSec Rescue ships caused the attackers to flee. Both Rhyley and Bai'yle had suffered mild blaster burns but of those they rescued, everyone made a full recovery in the weeks following. For their valiant effort, the two pilots were awarded the First-Class Corellian Bloodstripe for courage demonstrated after deliberation and are amongst the youngest Corellians to have ever been awarded the honour.
A Change of Heart
A few years had passed, Rhyley was now 25 years of age and a had attained the rank of Major. He decided to join the main bulk of the Republic forces as he wanted to travel the galaxy rather than just stay static in corellian space. He would consult his superiors who had known Rhyley since his cadet days. They urged him to join the fleet command, For they knew Rhyley's talents for survival and strategy would do the Republic great justice.
A month or so had passed, but for Rhyley it seemed years had flowed by waiting for an answer. Thankfully he was welcomed with open arms into the Republics Navy. After a months of training in the academy, he was sent to his new ship, The "Redemption", A Hammer head class capital ship. Rhyley loved the design of these ships. He was technically third in command, But this did not bother him as he would often talk tactics to the fighter pilots and try to come up with new strategies.
On The Move
The Redemption and her crew were dispatched into the outer rim on several diplomatic missions. The Republic had insisted two Jedi Knights accompany the ship. Dank Orar, The Admiral of the ship, had no quarral with the jedi and let them move freely onboard The Redemption.
The Redemption would pass through a nebula of asteroid fields, Rhyley knew something would happen, he had a gut feeling. The Jedi had picked up on the Major's feelings and notifed the Admiral of possible impending danger. The Admiral brushed the comments to one side simply stating "If anything was out here, we would of picked it up on the sensors". Rhyley remained uncomfortable for the duration.
Rhyley's feelings had been correct. Several dozen pirate star fighters had been hiding behind the asteroids with only life support running so the sensors wouldn't pick them up. With out hesitation the pirates all started to fire upon the Redemption. The bridge in a matter of seconds had been damaged, An explosion of one of the console instantly killed the 2nd in command and incapcitated the Admiral. It was down to him and him alone.
Rhyley turned to the jedi and asked if they could do anything. Unfortunatley niether of the hapless jedi knew battle meditation, so Rhyley politley asked them to take two fighters and make some noise. Corellians were always smooth and cool no matter what situation they were in.
The now in charge Major ordered all available pilots to dispatch and all turrets to fire at will. Thankfully the asteroids were just clumps of ice, so it didn't matter what was shot.
Rhyley would order the main guns of the ship to fire upon the asteroids to try to convince the pirate's they had no where to hide. The battle lasted for a fair while, the two Jedi Knights quite comfortable in taking out the pirates, whilst the Redemption cleaned up the other fighters. The Redemption had maintained damage, They had to return to headquarters for immediate repairs. Rhyley was promoted to 2nd in command of the Redemption for his brave and valiant efforts in the outer rim. He of course knew he would not have to wait long to promoted again as his direct superior was talking about retirement at the slender age of 65.
The next chapter..
Rhyley had to wait a few years before the Admiral decided to retire, his age and war wounds were slowly sending him into decline. So when the time came to promote or replace the current Admiral, Rhyley would apply for the position with backing of his old friend, mentor and superior Dank, Rhyley's application was accepted quite confidently and his promotion to Rear Admiral was quite a speedy one.
Rear Admiral Stargazer would often travel through the outer rim and get as close to the borders of the hutts and sith as he could with out setting off alarms or starting wars. The Redemption would be quite a familiar sight for smugglers and pirates in the outer rim. They feared the pilots who had personal training from the Stargazer in advanced tactics.

Rhyley would often sit in his quarters sipping his caf, Strong with milk and two sugars was his choice in beverages. But he would always long for a corellian ale or 5. He was your stereotypical Corellian, Beer and women were his fancy. Over the tannoy system a soft female voice of his major would hail for him.
"Admiral, we require your assistance on the bridge, Two heavily modifed pirate freighters have dropped out of hyper-space and are hailing us sir."
Rhyley would down the rest of his caf before proceeding to the bridge.
"Status report Major."
"Hull integrity at 100 per cent, weapons fully functional and shields are at 100 per cent too, Admiral"
"Open up hailing frequencies.." The major would follow her orders with out question before nodding to Rhyley.
"This is the Redemption, You have entered Republic occupied space.. What is your business here?"
The speakers would remain quiet for a couple of seconds before they recieved an answer.
"We are pirates of the outer rim, surrender your ship and technology to us.. We know you are the only current Republic ship in this sector.. We have you out gunned and out numbered"
Rhyley would shake his head before looking out of the main bridge window and noticing the distance between the two pirate ships before turning to the major.
"They will most likely think we will hang back and wait for back up or try to jump into hyper-space.." He rubs his chin for a second. "Divert the front and aft shields to the port and starboard.. Disable front and aft turrets, Divert the power to the port and starboard turrets... make it so.." The Major runs off to notify the crew of what to do.
Rhyley turned back to look at the two heavily modified freighters before pointing between the gap.
"Move in between the ships, full acceleration.." The ensigns at the helm would simply state "Yes sir"
The Admiral standing there, with his hands behind his back with an emotionless glaze upon his face as he watched the pirates who seem slightly confused by this move, never the less to Rhyley's satisfaction the pirates kept the same formation. Rhyley turned his head slightly as they started to approach the two freighters.
"Slow down 100 kilometres per hour"
Rhyley looking at the two ships who were now firing at the Redemption.
"Finally they struck... Fire from the port and starboard turrets.. Fire at will!"
"Yes sir!" The crew responded as they activated the turrets. The three ships now in close proximity of one another, red and green laser bolts flying every which way. from a distance it almost looks like a firework show.
After a brief fire fight the Redempetion emerged from the rear of the freighters. The freighters them selves had been disabled and remained as floating wrecks. Rhyley turned to his Major.
"Status?"
"We have sustained minimal hull damage, Our turrets have over heated and gone offline for the time being and the shields are at 65 percent Admiral." The admiral nodded before dishing out the next objective.
"Major, Gather up two teams and board the freighters.. If there any any survivors.. They will be put on trial for treason against the Republic" Rhyley Salutes to the Major before turning and returning to his quarters.
