Hmm, there's a couple characters I'd like to work on, but I'll try Zulu first.
Character Name: Zulu Character Source: He's currently in pending, a work-in-progress. Character Faction/Alignment: Fringe Type of Roleplay: Anything is fine... This will be a different kind of character that I'm not used to playing, and I just want to explore how I would do it before getting into a real thread. Perhaps the RP would be him on a mission. Roleplay Requirements: Um, if it's okay, to have it just be a one-sided RP? I figure it might be easier if you just respond with comments. If I go with the idea of a mission, it'll just be him killing people, so... yeah. Reason for Request: Like I touched on up above, this guy will be something completely different, since he's not supposed to be showing any feelings or emotions. He's one of the Green Meadows assassins, implanted with a chip and all his memory has been erased. All he knows is what he was trained in and what his mission parameters are. Basically, I want to be able to play him without bringing any personality or emotion into the mix because he's not supposed to have one. Notes: Can't think of anything right now. Unless you have questions? Roleplay: [to be yet written]

Wow, I'm honestly surprised you signed up here. Been getting the feeling you dislike me. But anyway, I can see us doing this in one of two ways. Either your way, where you do come up with everything, and I'll comment after each post. Or, if you'd like, I could come up with a mission for your character- and npc it instead of it being an actual in depth role play. Up to you really, just let me know what you feel is best. Mind you, I got Zarkan and PSF ahead of you

I don't know why you would think that... Anyway, yeah, that's fine. I think I need to figure a bit more about Zulu anyway. I'm in no hurry. I think for now, I would just prefer the one-sided RP with you just commenting. Maybe later when I get a better feel for the character, we could get more involved.

Alright, beauty. Since you're the only one requesting this, just go ahead and post here in this thread, and I'll throw in some comments as you go, sound kosher?

(((Okay... I think I'll start with him as a child, since I seem to be a little bit stuck on that part of the bio I'm writing, lol. Basically, his life after he's implanted with the RELIC chip. More info in the Assassins discussion thread and the template in Fringe apps. I do have the first three years of his bio written--just need to type it up... Not sure if you want to read that first to get an idea before I go on or not. Gonna try my little Zulu just after he's been implanted, so around 3 or 4 years of age. Probably will be short... but usually when I say that, it's not, lol. Well, here goes... I'm finding that there's a fine line between personality, emotions and no personality. If this goes well, I might integrate it into my bio, haha. ))) Zulu, the orphan formerly known as Meliin Bravor, was a couple inches taller than most of the children in the room where he was sitting. Even without his height, his red hair was the feature that truly made him stand out from the group. And probably the only thing, since all of the children, all around three to five years of age, had been implanted with a RELIC chip, courtesy of Green Meadows. The chip was a barrier between anything that might come between the child and his or her mission parameters. Of course, as this young age, the chip was basically only there to keep the children on duty. With his entire memory pre-Green Meadows wiped, he had no knowledge of any of his friends from the orphanage, nor of his parents. Though, he was only an infant when his father dropped him off and wouldn't have remembered him anyway. The boy currently was in class, learning about languages. More specifically, another language: Huttese. The young kids were eating it up. They had just begun getting more familiar in Basic and yet they were slowly mastering this second language. Zulu was enjoying this lesson. Since his pre-learned skills at the orphanage like his letters and numbers and Basic hadn't been removed with the rest of his memories, he had some sense that he enjoyed this kind of learning. It was sort of fun for him to know that he could speak something that others, besides those children also learning it, wouldn't be able to understand it. Not exactly pleasure, no... but a sense of happy accomplishment. (((I guess I will stop there.... so... critique away!)))

(OoC: I'm sorry this took so long, but you know I've been busy and what not, but anyway, this should be interesting, a first for me. I'll critique what I can, and we'll see how this goes ^^) It's definitely interesting to get into the head of one of the MoD's as a child- I find that whole story arc rather fascinating. One thing I did have a question about though, would this thread be taking place in Zulu's past? Or is it a flashback? I was just kinda curious there. And if it is a flashback, knowing what Zulu was doing before it might be interesting. It might also have been interesting to see exactly how Zulu was learning Huttese- since it's such a different language from Basic. All in all I'm very interested in seeing where this goes, so keep cranking, and I'll comment as we go.

Yeah, this would be his past... it's just after he got brought to Green Meadows, he's maybe five or six, maybe seven. I suppose kind of a flashback, but more just recounting his past, so I can get a feel for him/help myself finish the bio. Honestly, it's kind of experimental for me, haha.
Zulu was enraptured by the language lesson being taught to him and the rest of the class. It was a small class, only about a half dozen children, and the young red-headed boy with the olive skin and slight slant to his dark eyes was eating it up. They were learning Huttese, something that most other children their age weren't even think of. Around the galaxy they were just trying to master Basic, while the children here at Green Meadows were being given quite a more extensive education.
Right now their instructor was going over a few of the verbs in the language, asking a child, one at a time, to come up to the front and conjugate them. Though anything nonessential was blocked by their chips, Zulu had this unnerving sense that most of the children were finding this task rather boring and only went up to the front begrudgingly. But Zulu was different; he enjoyed this sort of thing, that is, if he actually felt any real joy.
It was as if he somehow knew that this skill would be helpful later in his life. Right now, though, he just figured he might as well do everything in class well, even if it was just simple conjugation of verbs in Huttese. When it was his turn to work up front, he walked up to the instructor without any delay. Zulu quickly got to work, marking out the various stages of one of the verbs, from past tense to future tense, singular to plural. When he was finished, the instructor nodded a him and told him, "Good job."
He smiled and answered, "I try to do my best."
And some more!

Hmmm gives a good insight into how Zulu thinks, but I felt there wasn't much detail, I saw him perfectly, but the instructor, other students and the room was sort of non existent it seemed. I'd like to know what that other stuff looked like, as well as maybe an example of Huttese written out ;D that'd be fun.
