Notable Goods: A strong, burning alchohol that can be difficult for Native Morions to drink. Most drinkers on Morion can usually down several shots before needing a chaser, describing the burn more as spicy.
Capital City:
Also the Largest, the capital City sprawls in all directions, the largest buildings found in the old sectors of the 'old city', while the more effecient buildings, built with offworld material and techniques, are found in the new sectors of the 'old city'. The old city referencing to times prior to entering the galactic scope as anything more than unexplored space. Most off worlders are restricted to the 'new city' which consists of it's own sectors, new and old, showing little to none of the native's colorful history and fight for survival.
Buildings within the 'old city' are generally old yet well maintained, often times whole additions are added to buildings where simple upgrades are not reasonably possible.
Within the 'new city' which borders the western edge of the 'old city' is built with materials out of the system, mostly by companies associated with either Sith corporations or Republic business both of which using their own labor forces. The buildings are, while newer, aren't quite as well cared for as buildings within the old city, letting all off worlders know that while they are welcome, they are to be scrutinized and, while they make themselves comfortable, they are not to feel at home. Something the native humans forgot to mention in the brochures and dont often remark at.
The northern edge of city, both new and old, run over a series of rivers, the old city using canals and bridges while the new city uses platforms, tunnels and the occational ditch.
Within the old City is rumored to be an old 'Orbital gun' hidden somewhere, built before being found. The well connected word in the street is the cannon is well maintenanced and kept up to date with the latest tech. Word also is the cannon wasn't used for anti-space firing but for inter-continental bombardment.
Permanent Population Est: 211.34.5 Million
Major cities:
Industrial Hub for the entire planet, Camien is the third largest city of Morion and second most protected area after the Capital, for the loss of Camien would be enough to send Morion back to pre space technology and financially devastate the planet. The importance of Camien, other than being the Industrial Hub is that it is the only City that openly accepts offworld laborers and is the third largest production center for Military hardware, as well as having a large military presence, which helps with keeping crime levels to an extreme low.
Resting against a cliff face looking over the sea the Center of Camien is the domestic or headquarters area that splits the rest of Camien into three large industrial nodes, Each node is capable of supporting itself but for optimal production, each node currently support each other.
Permanent Population Est: 23.7 Million
Of all the citys on Morion, Turrin is possibly the worst of the lot, only a few areas show any sign of real prosperity, most showing signs of degradation, old fortifications and several blown out weapons factories gives hint to an old military uprising or an oposing government. Massive craters pot this old city that has no rhythm and no straight street for logner than a block or two, the longest recorded street within the city is three blocks long in a derelict area that was abandoned by all but the miltaristic minded who speak of old times in the Morion military, often brooding over their age and fortunes.
No tourist that has dared enter the City has ever managed to return alive or in one piece. An old obcolescent Cannon sits precariously near the center of the city, clearly broken and in shambles, no one knows or is willing to talk about the cannon other than that is is one of five of the original eleven.
Permanent Population Est: 111.4 Million
Second Largest City and third most heavily protected, Salim is home to Morion's wealthiest, most influencial, and involved. Any decision by just one person within Salim could ultimately affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of others.
The Largest building being something of a fortress wearing a palace's looks, a giant ornately worked Cannon raising above the highest of it's spires, sits grandly, cannon lowered, aiming for a distant sea.
The Core of the Morion Officer's Corps is grown here, sending the young heirs into the military to lead the men and women of Morion in defence of the home and in a game of prestige few ever leave behind, no matter what else.
The True sign of trust, prestige and power for off world merchants is to be invited or have a representative placed within Salim. The Elite preside here and the Elite hold Morion well.
Taking out Salim would cripple the Morion government and ultimately bring the planet to it's knees but it would also denie Morion the vast fortunes hidden away in and around Salim.
Permanent Population Est: 112.7 Million
Oonip
The Smallest and possibly least important city to Morion in all but Medicine and Scientific research, Oonip is Morion's premier scientific community. More of a giant, complex facility, Oonip is cunstructed into the soil of Morion, Natural caves and tunnels, buildings and structures, all are used, a series of tunnels and tubes descend into the nearby depths of the murky sea.
Exits and observatories dot the vine like forest just to the north, spires and view ports carved from the western cliff face, Oonip uses the Natural surroundings as much as it does the artificial.
No amount of orbital bombardment could ever truly destroy Oonip without wiping out a vast amount of the planet along with it and assaulting Oonip would be like throwing a pine cone in a leafy jungle. The only thing going for anyone who would try to take Oonip would be that it is the second least protected city on the world and possibly the most secluded of all. Most within Oonip are mechanical, either android or robot or else have experimental nanites injected.
The Medical center is the most renowned in the world and is open to all, though most off worlders find that the medical staff also happen to be researchers who would give just about anything to study them.
A Large Cannon sits where cliff meets Ocean, the cannon slightly bent and rusted with age, the controls destroyed long ago and the power source removed.
Permanent Population Est: 4.7 million
Force Users: All Force Sensitive natives to Morion are sent to either the Morion Officer Corps or special training centers, usually medical or something productive such as agriculture, regardless of class and origins. The Force sensitives are usually refered to as "Specials" in all areas of life.
Off worlders who are attuned to the force are prohibitted, the law strictly held, no Morion native willing to see their brethren taken from their side. Punishable by death, usually by any means fitting, Jedi of all sorts are warned away by all Morion registered vessels, any Jedi found aboard a vessel is not safe from the Morion law as the Morion Government will generally order the Jedi from the ship or attempt to destroy the vessel.

History:
Morion had once been a paradise in relative terms. With plenty of vegetation, clean water and more tha enough food for all, the natives of Morion were well off. The abundance of neccessities of life would eventually lead to division and war, causing strife and devestation across the globe as techniques for fighting were innovated and advanced tactics introduced as newer weapons were sought and used.
Morion entered its industrial age through war and for the entire industrial age saw strife and devastation, polluting the air and causing starvation.
At the tail end of the industrial age, everything went down hill, the fighting so bad, hunger and suffocation from poluted air and lack of once abundant food killing off the less fortunate, death rates, already high, sky rocketed until there were only pockets of survivors.
Rebuilding would take time as the majority of the trained thinkers and laborers were gone and new ones needed to learn from scratch.
As humanity began to push down the death rates and fight the pollution it had caused, war broke out amongst the rebuilding peoples, nearly undoing all they had strived for. The scientific community had put everything else aside and gone into hiding, waiting out the conflict before returning to the world, keeping humanity from falling off the planet.
Given time, Morion was once again entering the industrial age, causing more pollution in the air. The much pollution caused mutations and sickness. Improved medical conditions managed to keep the death rates down, yet the numbers of mutations continued to grow. This caused world wide concern, a concern that would push the Morion humans into acting to stop the mutations, to undo the pollution.
The process was long and arduous, but eventually the pollution was pushed back, cleaner air in the world. Disease and mutation rates dropped, yet were not defeated.
Using medical and technological advances, the Morion humans fought the mutations as Morion rediscovered space flight and began construction of an orbiting station.
Hostilities were on the rise again and the Morion governments built massive land cannons with immence power. Of the thirty seven being constructed, only eleven were ever completed and functional when the tensions rose to open warfar and the cannons were used.
The effect of using the cannons was devastating, most of the land mass on the planet was completely destroyed, either sunk or blown to bits of dirt, polluting most of the Morions seas, turning them from a bright blue to a murky green, killing all but the most hardy of sea life, even those suffering from the extreme change.
Most of the land mass gone and all of the governments destroyed by their own weapons, the Morion people rallied to the formation of a singular planetary government and looked to space, knowing that their planet would soon be doomed if they couldn't find some way to help undo what they had caused.
Some fifty years after the unification of Morion, a Republic ship discovered Morion and soon Morion space was filled with representatives and business folk from across the galaxy. Not because Morion was really important, but because Morion offered opportunities for most.
The colorful history of Morion made the natives suspicious of outsiders, especially force users, whom Morion had enough of already. Discovering that the Republic had their own force users and that they were very involved in so much of life, Morion became increasingly wary of the Republic, placing a very weighty ban on all Jedi and off world force users, trusting only the force users from home.
The ban was at first eyed dubiously by the Republic and skirted around by the Jedi, until the smallish Morion navy was ordered to open fire on all Ships with known Jedi on board. While this caused several notable incidents, the Morion government stood by its desicion and told the republic in no uncertain terms that Morion would not be joining the Republic and Morion would only allow certain types to land on Morion.
Of course, the Sith and Dark jedi attempted to influence Morion. They faced many of the same problems and were eventually convinced themselves that Morion did not want join them.
This wouldn't stop the Sith as, sometime later, Shard, leader of the Dominion, would visit under a false identity with false just as false intentions. Months of playing up some of the Morion elite, paying off others, and intimidation of the stronger, more influencial Elite, Shard would use the played up and payed off to raise up to other throw the government and pit the two against each other.
While the Morion political scandal was under way, Shard's dominion appeared, at this time Shard would raise up and publicly denounce the current government predicament on over ambitious politions and as leader of the Dominion, Shard removed the two seperate regimes, covering tracks that would implicate him in conspiracy.
With no one in a strong enough position to oppose him effectively, Shard took control of the Morion Government for himself.

Morion Military:
-Army-
Assigned to planetary defence, the Morion Army is given the duty of defending key Morion regions such as the various cities and military outposts in strategic areas. The Uniform of the Morion Army is universal for all soldiers and officers. Dress uniforms being simple clothes, Green tunics worn over a plain white shirt and green breeches accompanied with murcky shaded brown shoes.
Duty or combat uniforms consist of either grey or green garb or a mix of the two colors, a utility vest, holsters for the various weapons.

-Marines-
Given two duties, the first being to support the Morion army in defence of the planet, the marines have the additional function of serving aboard Naval vessels and being stationed on/in stations in either space or the seas of Morion. The Goal of the Morion Marines is to strike first and keep the peace.
Morion Marine Uniforms usually consist of white off duty garb and grey duty/combat uniforms with red stripes running up the legs and down the arms.

-Airforce-
Considered Obsolescent and poorly (relatively speaking) funded since space flight became possible, the Morion Airforce, while large and even capable enough to stand up to an orbital assault for a short while with support from the ground forces, the Airforce is mostly for show, though funding is still generated for the Airforce, keeping it and it's many airships in the skies of Morion, adding to the sence of protection.
-Wet Water Navy-
The least funded and considered to be the most useless of all of Morion's current Military branches, the Wet Wat Navy still prowls the seas of Morion, hunting down pirates and often transporting Soldiers to and from the few continents and used as a means for training by the Marines, the Wet Water navy is considered the same as the Space navy yet is publicly ignored in large. Uniforms are usually a murky green with a clear blue ribbon attached to either arm.
-Space Navy-
The second most heavily funded branch of the military and also the largest, the Space navy prowls the space ways surrounding Morion 'keeping the peace' and often runs patrols out of Morion space to 'check on the neiborhoods'. When the patrols are out harasment of Republic and Sith ships increases greatly, generally causing representatives from both to visit. The Morion Government however, backs the Morion navy and denies any knowledge of any harassment.
The Morion Space Navy has the same uniform as the Wet Water Navy, excluding the arm bands.

-Officer Corps/Special-
The Officer Corps is where all the children of the upper crusts of Morion want to be, as the Officer Corps is a military all it's own, playing to the political game more than to anything else, the Officer Corps is given more attention and funding than any other military branch currently in existance. Training to be an officer is generally long and difficult, yet basic training, for all other branches, are at the most basic and accelerated.
While seperate, the Officer Corps is integrated into all other Military branchs, the members of the Officer Corps holding command over officers of the other militarys. Cadets live within the academies at each city, and after graduation, the Cadets are promoted and sent to serve at least a single four year term in each branch of the military before either picking which one they would like to stay in or have it picked for them.
