Business as usual seemed to be Cas's motto these days. And though business was good, it was becoming too bland, he hadn't been out in weeks. He needed some action, he needed that feeling of the wind in his hair, he needed off this blasted ship away from the analog exercise and into the adventure. He needed to shoot his gun at a fleshy target and not a paper or holographic one. What he needed was a something to do. As it turns out, these things have a way of working themselves out. That job came right through the door of his conference room.
It came in the form of Dan Trevask. A very wealthy man who had come with the desire of utilizing that wealth to buy weapons. His reasons weren't explained and they needn't be. That was the way many ventures worked. Money for weapons, no questions asked. This venture however, would require an extra element according to Dan. This exchange would be a smuggling operation. The Republic isn't exactly a fan of Sith Arms and ammunition in its borders, not to mention the flamethrowers. It would be 6 durosteel cargo crates in all, sizable cases, they would need to be transported from Muunilinst and safely. The route they would be taking would be through well known pirating territory, as well. And though Cas had his connections to a few of these pirating factions, being that he did live above Nar Shaddaa, but there were plenty out there, and chances were slim. The odds called for the need of protection. A simple smuggler wouldn't cut it, and even then, if they worked alone, as many smugglers do, they would probably need assistance. His assistance.
Well then, Mr.Trevask, I must say, this is quite the stunt you ask of me. The location in the Republic is a tricky one to get to from where these goods are going. Not quite as simple as Point A to Point B... I will accept your request, however.
I will personally see to it this is accomplished. We may need to see some larger numbers in such a case...
I will not object to a reasonable cost, I understand the risks involved and am willing to see them paid.
Well, then, let us talk numbers and dates, the details are my own concern, I'm certain you'll agree.
After discussing price and expenses the deal was done. All that remained was an individual willing to smuggle these containers to their destination from Muunilinst. He was pretty sure he knew just the person. Hopefully they would answer his call. He flipped a switch and made began his call, hopefully, though he did not personally know this individual, their reputation would not be the farce he expected it to be. He had been disappointed before.
They picked up.
