Bio:
For Dani, the beginning was not greatly different from that of any Jedi. She was born into slavery to a recently enslaved Salvyn, owned by a small-time Hutt on Tatooine, though her father didn’t survive long enough to be placed into enslavement; male Cathar, due to often being highly volatile and uncontrollable, were not valued much as slaves, and he was dropped into the Pit of Carkoon. Only a year after her birth, a passing Jedi, a man named Brujo Hewas of Corellian descent, who had stopped on the planet to investigate recent attacks by Sand People, sensed a presence in the Force after he had returned from the sands. Further investigation led him to swoop track owned by a Hutt. It took roughly an hour for the trail to lead him to an enslaved Cathar and her child, and took only a few words to convince Salvyn to give her child to the Jedi Knight; anything would be better than the life of servitude she was doomed to. After several rounds of gambling with the Hutt, the fairness of which was disputable, Hewas won the child’s freedom, though when he attempted to win the mother’s as well, the Hutt flat-out refused to bet against the Jedi again, claiming he’d probably been swindled in the first place, and wasn’t about to let it happen again. The young Knight reluctantly agreed to take only the child and left Tatooine.
During her years of training as a Littling, Dani showed, on numerous occasions, both the fiery nature that ran through her veins, but also an admirable ability to control it, channel it into a tool of the light, something that earned her several comments from Masters among the Order. She also displayed an affinity for being exceedingly hard to find when she wanted to be, due in part to her natural abilities as a Cathar, including her natural hunter’s stealth and her natural ability to rapidly blend the color of her fur in with her surroundings. She was only eight when chosen by a Master, the Jedi Knight Brujo Hewas, Jedi Sentinal. They shared a very close, very strong, and very deep bond from very early on, spending much time in close commune in meditation, and only left Coruscant infrequently. Instead, Brujo taught his apprentice the path of the Sentinal directly, neither focusing on combat nor the Force, but both equally, as well as the skills he’d learned in his travels and apprenticeship. It was during this time that Hewas’ somewhat sheltered style of teaching proved a far more terrible choice than any had ever anticipated. At the age of fifteen, Dani went off-planet with her Master once more to Tatooine to again investigate Sand People attacks, as Brujo had already succeeded once at the task, and had a somewhat intimate knowledge of the situation.
Upon arriving, the two were almost immediately pointed to the Dune Sea, where a group of Sand People had recently slaughtered the crew of a Sand Crawler as well as the salvage team sent to recover it. When they went out to investigate, they were set upon by the same group. Hewas spoke of a peaceful solution, but before he could even attempt at communication, his Padawan’s Cathar blood got the better of her and she threw herself at the group. Hewas was forced to join in to save her from the hardened warrior’s superior numbers, and after finishing off the group, berated his Padawan for acting so rashly and out of anger. Dani, however, was not ashamed of what she had done, but rather proud for having avenged such mindless slaughters, and the two engaged in a long debate beneath the sandcrawler. Finally, something in the young Cathar just snapped, and she attacked her Master; he, however, had anticipated this, and easily defended himself from the initial attack. What he had not anticipated, however, was his Padawan to disappear. He had seen her blend in with the shadows before on numerous occasions, but he had always been able to sense her through the Force. This time, however, she was gone, like she had never been there in the first place. He could no longer feel her presence, rather just simple anger coming from all around. He had barely any time to react once he felt her again, but not enough, and the Jedi Knight fell, dead before his body hit the sand beneath him.
Knowing full well what she had done, Dani took her Master’s shoto and ran, taking her Master’s ship and disappearing into the stars, not to be heard from again for several years. She spent nine years hidden, coming to terms with her deeds, and becoming less and less afraid of her anger and the Dark Side. She taught herself, delving both into the darkness and the light, before, nine years later, while living in confinement on the forest floor, or Shadowlands, as the natives called it, Kashyyyk, and having earned a name of infamy among the Wookies as some sort of demi-god to be wary of, was found by a Devaronian smuggler and his young human partner, a girl of no older than eighteen or nineteen, while walking among the Wookie walkways to trade with the Wookies. Having lived in solitude among the trees for two years now, and having only seen the beasts of the Shadowlands and the Wookies, the Cathar stopped to inquire of the galaxy from the two off-worlders. Within a few minutes, however, she discovered their true identities: a Jedi Knight and his Padawan on a mission of mercy from the Council, who were only hiding their true identities from the Wookies until they were sure what kind of reception Jedi would receive. She, however, was able to conceal her connection to the Force through the now much more refined technique she had used against her Master so many years before, at least for the time being. It wasn’t long, however, after they parted ways, that the Wookies themselves unintentionally gave away a part of Dani’s lie by commonly referring to her as some sort of demi-god, or possibly a powerful witch. Before the former Jedi could return to the Shadowlands, the two Jedi confronted her and, managed to bring her back to the Light through their combined efforts, aided by the fact that the Devaronian had figured out her identity, and used mention of Hewas in his argument. Having firmly, and correctly, believed in Dani’s redemption, the Jedi brought her along for their mission. There, she helped them uncover the threat of a group of very skilled Trandoshan poachers that had been killing off not just wildlife, but also Wookies, as well as help defeat the Trandoshans, saving the Jedi Padawan and nearly losing her own life in the process. The two brought Dani back to Coruscant with them and stood her before the Council.
The Council listened to the two Jedi as they recounted the events that had transpired, as well as their arguments against any punishment, saying that she had likely punished herself more than enough, and had returned to the Light as strong as ever, if not more so. The Council, after a lengthy deliberation, stated that there would indeed be no punishment, but rather, she was to be accepted back into the Order and bestowed with the rank of Knight. It took several seconds for the three who stood before the Council to digest these words, but digest they did, and after the initial shock had worn off, bowed graciously, and exited the Council room only moments before Dani was overwhelmed with emotion. With help, she was able to calm herself, thanked the two Jedi responsible for her redemption as well as return to the Order, and almost immediately delved into the Jedi teachings. While she taught herself and learned from other Jedi, she also spent much time simply speaking of her past with members of the Order, most often with Youngling Clans, teaching them lessons about her experiences both before and after she had deserted the Jedi. She seemed to have finally made peace with her past, and to have once again harnessed her fiery blood. This peace, however, did not last long.
She was sent to investigate the disappearance of a Jedi Master on Nar Shaddaa at the age of twenty-eight, four years after her redemption. Her search lead her from a bounty hunter down on his luck, to a refugee acting as an informant for the Exchange, to the Exchange boss of the Refugee Sector, and finally to the Hutts. After bartering with the Hutts, and finally coming to an agreement where Dani would persuade the Exchange to move out of a certain contested area, they agreed to give her the information she needed. After pushing the Exchange out of the sector through a great deal of deceit, the Hutts pointed her to one of their own, a small-time Hutt on Tatooine in charge of a swoop-track. After much persuading, the Hutt revealed the Jedi to have, in fact, just left the planet for Coruscant before she arrived; something confirmed shortly thereafter by the Jedi Council. She was told to return, but before Dani could, the Hutt made the mistake of recognizing the Cathar. Believe his eyes to be deceiving him, as the one he was seeing had recently been killed for an act of defiance, and had been many years older, asked the Cathar before him from where she had come. She answered that her mother had been a slave of a Hutt, to which the Hutt erupted in laughter. It seemed his former slaves had a way of returning. He, foolishly, taunted her about the fact that she had once been his, and of her mother’s demise, believing that no Jedi would ever retaliate. Unfortunately for him, however, though she did restrain herself, there was a Dark Jedi Master in the swoop hall at the same time, who used his influence to give the Cathar a slight mental “nudge”, resulting in far more than he had ever hoped for. Not only did she lose control, but in the blood-fury she entered, she not only killed the Hutt, but became more blood-hungry for it, and proceeded to slaughter everyone inside, becoming more and more blinded with each death. The Dark Jedi actually had to retreat from the hall on the defensive to prevent himself from also being cut down by the crazed Cathar. She battled him all the way back to the hanger his ship was in, pressing him backwards at almost a run with her enraged attacks. Eventually, she slowed as her blood-fury faded, and the Dark Jedi was able to convince her he was not her enemy, at least not for the time being. Upon realizing just what she had done, yet again, she made another choice to abandon the Jedi Order, but this time, she was not running from her anger, she was, with a little convincing from the Darksider, accepting it.
From there, he brought her to Korriban, and upon learning her skills, one of the Masters there called over a man wearing a simple suit of black armor. This man, he said, was the most skilled Assassin they had, and that he would decide if she was worthy of the title after her acceptance. Barely giving him a chance to speak, the Cathar vanished into thin air and murdered the Assassin, thereby taking his place, his armor, and his nearly unique ship, though she later simply took the stygium crystal-powered cloaking device from it and transferred it to her own Cutlass. In the eight years since, she has acted as something of an unknown among those on Korriban, generally only being seen infrequently, though some dispute whether that is because she is simply gone frequently on personal tasks, or because she simply doesn’t wish to be seen. She has taught none of her secrets to other Dark Jedi among the Academy, and has risen to the rank of Master, though she continues to use the title Assassin in preference, after she personally killed the Master that had discovered her on Tatooine because she considered him a weak fool, whose focus on only one aspect of the Force had weakened him. In that Cathar’s time on Korriban, she had earned something of a legend, some saying she’s an apparition that appears in the Academy every now and then, possibly even the spirit of an ancient Sith, though a few have learned better, and believe she is some sort of disfigured or mute creature bound in service to a Master. A few Masters know better, but even they know very little. There are only one or two Dark Jedi still alive that have ever seen her face, and only a select few know she was ever a member of the Jedi Order. Some more knowledgeable member’s of the Dark Jedi have been known to request her service now and again, in return for payment of some sort, though she very commonly just leaves the Academy on her own for days, weeks, even months at a time, without warning or explanation. A common belief is that she searches for something, but none know what. Another belief is that she has become some sort of Jedi Assassin, a belief supported by her sometimes returning with items belonging to Jedi. To the Jedi, however, what she has become is little more than a myth itself, never having been proven to exist past her disappearance on Tatooine. The only Jedi to have encountered her since, and survived, have only been able to return with vague descriptions.

1x Shoto (short) lightsaber – Single phase, bronze blade of 1 meter, dark grey hilt with cross-etches for improved grip, and an internal activation switch. Holds a transmitter within the hilt.
1x Cortosis-weave stealth body-armor – Designed much like the armor of the Shadowtroopers, minus the Artusian crystal, and the helmet being smooth-surfaced with a slit visor.
1x Combat knife - 12 inch blade with a back-edge, used primarily in instances requiring more stealth than a lightsaber can afford.
1x Simple black cloth tunic, pants, nerfhide gloves, and lace-up knee-high combat boots, worn underneath the armor.
Skills:
Through her years, Dani had become very skilled in Jar‘kai crossed with the Form Ataru, which is the Form she falls back on when only using one blade. Also, she is, as stated elsewhere, naturally very silent, to the point that many do not see her even when she is not hiding, as well as being a half-decent pilot, exceptional swoop-racer, and has been noted as being exceptionally persuasive, even without the aid of the Force. From her years under the tutelage of her Sentinal Master, and years spent across the galaxy, she has developed very good survival skills, a fair knowledge of explosives, and a moderate knowledge of security systems. Her natural abilities as a Cathar include much of the reason for her stealth abilities, very strong senses, rapid healing abilities, and the ability restricted to her sub-species, the ability to change the pigmentation of her short fur for natural camouflage. She also has the smaller, less prominent claws of her sub-species.
Powers:
Force Camouflage (The ability to become physical invisible by bending light around oneself; the technique can also be used to hide body heat, though this is much more difficult
Force Hide (The ability to become invisible in the Force; requires a strong connection to and aptitude in the Force to effectively sense the user’s presence [this is not physical cloaking]).

A stubby, slightly battered freighter, followed by a small silver fighter with yellow highlights, set down gently on one of the small landing pads just outside of the small settlement known as Dreshdae. A man stepped off the ship’s entry ramp casually, the dark robes of a Dark Jedi flowing around him. As he strode slowly across the pad towards the settlement’s entrance, he was met by the pilot of the fighter, a woman of undeterminable race, hidden under the folds of a contrasting Jedi robe. After a brief discussion among themselves as they walked, they reached the central dock area, and strode past the dockmaster, who merely looked up, noted the dark-robed figure, and looked back down to his console. They continued along through Dreshdae, being generally avoided by most of the sentients within, exited the settlement through a back entrance restricted from the public, and stepped out into the barren land of Korriban, not far from the old Academy, rebuilt over the years, eventually coming to the gates of the Academy itself. A guard snapped to attention, but remained silent as he opened the entrance for the Dark Jedi and his companion.
The dark-robed man led his companion into a central room, and motioned a tattooed man over. ”May I present the Fallen Jedi Dani. The Force is strong with this one, as is the Dark Side. She will prove a valuable asset to us, I am sure.” He said in a very low, very gravelly voice.
”Quite certain of your words, you are, Master Vosh. Tell me, what use is she to us?”
”She has been trained by the Jedi, and has shown much skill, but her Cathar blood prevents her from remaining with the light. She is a warrior, not a Jedi. She has also learned an ability most valuable: the ability to become completely invisible to the naked eye. She is a hunter by nature, a creature of the shadows. She would be a great asset to us as an Assassin.”
The tattooed man regarded the silent Jedi contemplatively. He nodded and called over another man, a man clad in black armor head to toe. ”We shall see. Vicla is, as you know, our most skilled Assassin. He shall test your silent companion here, and he shall decide if she is worthy the title.” He turned towards the armored figure as he arrived. ”Vicla, I have one you may be interested in. I wish you to test her, see if she is worthy of the role you play, see why we should accept her here.”
The armored figure nodded and turned towards the Jedi. He paused when she was no longer standing before him, next to Master Vosh. He looked back to the tattooed man and began to raise his hands as if to inquire something, but before a word escaped the masked lips, his head snapped violently to the side with a sickening crack, and his body fell to the ground with a thud, revealing the robed Jedi behind him. The tattooed man blinked and placed his hand on his lightsaber, but stopped when she spoke for the first time in her thick Cathar accent. ”You inquire why you should accept me? For one, I believe you are short an Assassin.”
A smile came to the man’s lips slowly as he released his lightsaber, and slowly turned into a bellowing laugh. ”Very good…very good indeed. I believe a place among our ranks has just opened for one such as yourself. Welcome to Korriban…Assassin.”

((Not pure evil, per se, and not the “slaughter everbody because it’s fun” type, either. But she is willing to do just about anything if the situation requires it. And also may go berserk when pissed off.))
