Faction Name: Shadow's Eternity (Pirate Crew)
Faction Purpose: To gather all mercenaries from all over the galaxy to assemble a huge pirate crew who work for anybody that can pay their way.
Faction Planet: Nar Shadaa
Financial wealth:
The Eternity's credits are quite substantial considering the fact that the majority of all mercenaries around Nar Shadaa work for them, and the more powerful they are, the more clients. They have enough to be able to invest in projects that Liero had to drop years ago. At the moment they are investing into certain businessmen to work under them, and like the Exchange, they expect to get their profits back and fast. The resources they have are also good, after using Bishop's penthouse as a base far to long, Liero has now bought properties for the men to sleep, eat and rest in. Another aspect of it, is that the crew have good connections within the Sith Empire (Not order) and have other connections with Republic Senators/soldiers.
Military assets:
The crew have a great military underneath their wing, even if it is more mass produced than trained to the finest quality. Even though they do use mercenaries that could possibly untrustworthy, they always do background checks on their business over planets, just to make sure they don't have any problems in the future. The crew also have a good deal of numbers on the ground in different bases/penthouses, some also keep the Cantina secure from any other troublemakers that might ruin their businesses.
They also have a variety of ships that helps them smuggle etc. with the HearthBringer being the current main source of income due to it's size and it's capacity. Each ship differs with it's captain however, as some contain prototype droids that would be sold or used to the crew's benefit. When as ships like the HearthBringer smuggle spice and prototype Swoop Bikes to be used in a variety of deals with corrupt Senators or other fringe across Nar Shadaa.
Liero also doesn't just have average mercenaries working for him, he has certain special units which mainly contain ex-soldiers with a hunger for battle, and for war. These certain units answer only to Liero and other high ranking members of the crew which get the heads up to do so. The units often do the better and more complicated jobs for Liero, meaning scouting, recon and very advanced assassinations. Sometimes they are used for negotiation due to the fact that many respect a lot of the men in the units, meaning many will follow their commands. As long as it's reasonable.
Form of Government:
To be honest, there really isn't much of a form of government. However, every faction needs a leader and somebody to assist him. Really the leader, Liero, is the only person in the crew who actually gets the loyalty from some of the most mysterious, and very anti-social people. His assistant, would be the one who would deliver news and would pretty much give the orders to the captains for Liero. Liero's assistant would be classed as the most obedient, but yet physically strong in the crew, and often it takes years to achieve such a position.
Then there is the Diplomat, who also responds to Liero only, as the Diplomat sorts problems out with rival factions, or settles deals with very powerful connections. The Diplomat would be classed as the more persuasive type of the crew, but yet wouldn't have the aspects of being a good leader. And finally the position of Captain, which is a lesser roll in the government section, and although more military than government, the Captain is a leader and persuasive, and they also meet with each other often, for check ups on all the crews. The Chairman of the meeting is usually the Diplomat due to his persuasive skills, and his intelligence. However sometimes Liero's assistant has to take his place due to rare business matters.
Faction History:
Shadow's Eternity wasn't just "forged" a such, no no. They were previously known as the Shadow Knights, a pirate crew which consisted of Gray Jedi and trained mercenaries. The crew's roots began on Nar Shadaa with a Gray Jedi named Bishop, who was destined to be a leader, and by chance met with some of the mercenaries and assassins around, including Liero Rejcano, who was placed in as the Right and man. He headed the armada that the crew contained with the HearthBringer, a ship constructed over a long period specifically for Liero. It was one of the reasons the Shadow Knights made an interesting income, and was one of Bishops favourite ships. Liero started making more connections as time went on, bringing more of an income, mainly connections within the Republic however. Bishop felt that the more elite soldiers should enter the HearthBringer, so Gray Jedi and mainly recon units filled up the barracks, becoming servants to Liero.
However, months later it appeared that Bishop had ran away from Nar Shadaa, and nobody in the Shadow Knights knew where he went. The crew went into anarchy, with ships doing what they pleased, with no leaders but the men who would take control. More leaders amounted, but Liero made a stand and declared himself the true leader of the Shadow Knights, many rebelled, starting the civil war. It lasted for months, some sided with Liero, others believed themselves to be the leader. Liero and his team blasted most of them out of space, and killed the majority of the Shadow Knights, but eventually he became the leader. Shortly after becoming the leader, Liero gathered the remnants of the crew and used it to do something very silly. He attacked Czerka at it's core, in a base of operations. He used the stealthiness of his followers to sneak in and deactivate the turrets, but then being savagely counter-attacked; as the enemy sent out numerous soldiers, with the aid of the Republic, not knowing the man behind it all.
Liero left with scraps of members, but lots of credits and technology. This allowed him to open up Rejcano & Co. a company that produced starships and weapons. Eventually Liero made mountains of credits, and started opening up shops using the scraps of soldiers he had left. More people started working under him, and Liero joined in on the black market, selling tons of illegaly modified guns. He then moved on to produce very snazzy starships, and eventually got paid loads of money for them to be mass produced. Now that Liero had a lot of credits and resources, he created the Reincarnation; a very powerful gun, that had a very fast rapid fire. This was the beginning to his return as a lone mercenary.
Months later, after making connections and earning respect among the streets, Liero started resorting to hiring mercenaries to join his ships that were used to transport goods. The respect of these mercenaries earned him street credibility, and more started joining his empire. After a long while, Liero formed the Shadow's Eternity, the new pirate crew. He managed to forge ships and weapons, and hire mercenaries and bounty hunters. Then he used specially trained members in his empire to become the special units, which would perform task after task for him. Now in the present time, everything is fine.
