Something I always wondered about Star Wars

You know the other day I was thinking about Star Wars and I wondered in this time period if pharmaceutical companies still exist or who sells the weaponry the empire or the republic have. Are there still major Corporations for consumers. I know czerka Corporation but what do they really do?

Pharmaceutical companies alone, not so much. Czerka is a good example of a company that does though. They sell almost everything one could want, supposedly only legal, but they are involved in other things usually. They are basically the corrupt Wal-Mart of the past. Technically, A long long time ago....

The things I've seen really only mention even in terms of arms companies primarily the mega corps the corporations that are states unto themselves. The smaller ones likely exist and are likely more specialized, but not as well known or worthy of mention.

Yeah, but there are so many loop holes within the story you never know what exists I mean if there are no Pharmaceutical companies there must be no use for them, and if there are do they still have simple diseases like Cancer? unless at the end of their war when they were drifting in space crashing on earth thats when that came about? That'll be and interesting thought that life on earth originated from their war...well at least in the star wars universe....

Pharmaceutical companies exist, but it seems like medical things are handled largely by either kolto or bacta both of which I believe are minerals so would be sold like any mined element. Also I expect on a planetary scale or even a system scale there are pharma, arms, and every other type of manafuturer you would expect just few of them have managed to reach the scale of being a galaxy spanning company with out being snapped up into a larger corp it's telling that all the main corporation I can think of in starwars all sell a wide viarity of goods it. Probably took hundreds if not thousands of small planetary/system companies to make a company like Czerka and also you have to think how old a megacorp like czerka is they likely outlived many non-specialized/large/small local companies.
