Name: Lexia Thorai
Species: Human
Age: 19
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 140 lbs.
Birth place: Dantooine
Appearance: Keeps dark red/brown hair close-cropped, her eyes are watery green with white flecking. Lexia's armor is designed for ease-of-motion, more than protection. Very little arm or leg armor. Armor coloring is bright blue with black and silver detailing.
Biography: Lexia Thorai was born on Dantooine to a single mother running a small farm. As she grew up, her mother never told her who her father was, always telling Lexia is was best if she never knew. Lexia was not satisfied with this answer and constantly probed her mother for the knowledge of her father's identity--but never found out.
At ten years of age, Lexia Thorai was near the outskirts of the farm, alone, when a starship landed nearby. It was an exotic vessel she had never seen, bristling with armaments. She hid in some nearby shrubbery as a raiding party of mercenaries disembarked. Some got on swoop bikes and raced off in different directions, but it was too late when Lexia realized that those who didn't were moving in on her home. The mercenaries took her mother and burned the farmhouse once all the valuables had been taken. Lexia Thorai was now alone.
She lived alone in an old cellar near where the house had been until she was thirteen when another strange ship landed. Lexia was still angry about the last ship that had landed, and took a small blaster pistol with her as she slowly walked outside.
What she saw would change her life forever. A man in armor the same hue as the night sky tinted with the gold of sunrise greeted her. The man turned out to be a relative of her father's--both being Mandalorians. Due to her mother's influence, she tried to force him off the farm, calling the Mandalorian a thief, a murderer, and other insults, none of them seeming to get through to the man. He just took it all in stride and eventually had to fight Lexia.
She attempted to kill him once it was obvious that the Mandalorian wasn't leaving Dantooine without her, but not only was he strong, but he was fast as well, pinning her to the ground before she could fire a single shot. Minutes later, with Lexia Thorai in stun-cuffs so she wouldn't injure herself, the Mandalorian took her to Dxun.
Later, Lexia would find out that the man's name was Kaiso Bralor, one of the few remaining people in his clan. Kaiso told her that he had heard about her mother's kidnapping and had come as soon as he did at her father's request, but that Rosu (her father) had died a few days earlier of an injury.
Since she had nowhere else to go, Lexia stayed with the Mandalorians on Dxun and slowly became interested in their way of life. It wasn't barbaric like her mother had told her Mandalorians were, though they were tough and violent. Their violence was offset by their convictions to family members and other Mando'ade (as they called themselves) in general. One full year later, Lexia made known her decision to become a Mandalorian herself.
Kaiso trained her in combat, culture, and the language until she was 17 and she had learned everything he knew. At that point, she was fully accepted into the community. She had lived among them for years, but now was one of them. She realized that her training had been completed at an older age than most Mando children, but also took in the fact that she had started at the age average Mandalorian children became adults.
When she was 17, however, she began to feel a burning desire to see more of the galaxy. She had gone on trips with Kaiso as he looked for work, but now she hungered for it more and more. Just before her 18th birthday, she finally got her chance: Once done with a mission of his own, Kaiso would lend her his ship for two months. If she could get a job of some sort and complete it in that time, he would aid her in buying her own vessel. She jumped on the opportunity. By the time she left Dxun, however, it was almost six months later.
She found and accepted a bounty on a small-time criminal on her old homeworld of Dantooine. She hunted down the Twi'lekk and his men whom she was to either capture or kill, and shot him. His men fled, but the main bounty was done. And she would be home within her two month period. Before she could return to Dxun, she was contacted by an old friend of Kaiso's. Kaiso was terminally ill.
Lexia rushed back to Dxun and spent the next several days by Kaiso's bed. On the last day of his life, Kaiso told her that everything he owned was now hers, as he would no longer need any of it. Lexia could not argue, and simply sat by his side as he died that night.
Shortly after Kaiso's death, Lexia left Dxun looking for work once more, doing odd jobs when and where she could. But instinct told her to return to Dxun. She did, and she joined the military efforts of her people as a simple soldier.
