Now this is the life, thought a very satisfied Asyr Yevor as he walked down the boarding ramp, arms tossed out to either side of him and yawning loudly. The hustle of a quaint little spaceport surrounded their landing pad, one of many on the traders' world of Prazhi. The sun was high, the day pleasantly warm, with a warm wind that teased his coat and tousled his snowy hair. Sleep late, free to do what I want without Father breathing down my neck and watching every damn thing I do. Much better than the military life it seemed he'd been fated for as a youth.
Best of all... He glanced over to the woman that strode next to him. Got a real looker along for the ride. Kailani Quix, she was called. She was the newest of a number of new recruits on board the Bohemian, and had been recruited by Asyr himself. So far, it seemed like a good addition to the crew. She was fun to hang around, could drink with the best of the crew, and even had previous experience working as a pirate herself. Looks don't hurt either Asyr thought with a soft chuckle. Not at all.
For a moment, he wondered how many more morning 'walks of shame' there might be between the two of them. The thought brought a laugh and he kept on.
"Well Miss Kai, we won't be in port for long, but we've got a little bit of time." They passed into the spaceport's main terminal. The crowd was relatively light, making movement easy. He glanced up to a display screen as they passed by to see an HNN report. Something about the war out in the Outer Rim. He didn't pay much attention to it.
"So it's you me, and Captain Tight-Pants here." He nodded to the little draconic droid sitting on his right shoulder. Flitch. Presently his eagle-like holographic wings were a silver-white--a sign of relative content for the droid. Flitch shifted on Asyr's shoulder, but the Echani rose a hand to cut him off. "How much trouble you think we can cause before we have get back to the ship?"

The little space port on Prazhi was mildly busy, people weaving to and fro with goods in hand, calling out to each other in the languages of galactic trade. Kailani was having a good afternoon, that was for sure. The sun was bright, there was little work to be done on her or Asyr's part during this part of the voyage, that of course left them a couple hours to entertain themselves. The question at hand was what to do?
A happy smile rested comfortably over the Corellian's lips. She enjoyed the fresh warm air here. Sure, she didn't get all her vitamins and minerals in one breath, but Kai had heard this was a much healthier alternative. The warm warmed the exposed skin of her knees and arms. Today she had opted out of wearing her bloodstripes, donning instead a pair of teensy-tiny shorts that matched in both color and pattern the corsetted top she wore.
Glancing over at the fine specimen that was Asyr Yevor her smile widened as he spoke in his velvety voice.
"How much trouble you think we can cause before we have get back to the ship?"
"Depends, Yevor. How much trouble are you willin' to get into?" She teased, winking a single green eye at him before scanning the area. There wasn't much one could do for fun around a little trade port. Not much that was legal anyways... Flicking between the buildings as they walked Kailani's eyes settled on the familiar shape. Eyes lighting up she reached out, grabbing the large hand of her companion, tugging him forward.
"How about we get drunk for starters, I'll try not to start any fights this time, eh? Though I certainly wont mind if you decide to strip for me again." Laughing brightly the blonde walked through the doors into the buzzing cantina. It was a slow day in Tequlia Town, but the band was playing a fine little tune and the patrons kept to themselves mostly, chatting quietly amongst each other.
Settling down at the bar, Kailani crossed one pale leg over the other, resting an elbow on the counter as she tool a sidelong look at the much taller Echani. She didn't order anything, or rummage for her credits, merely taking a long moment to look over her shipmate. Asyr had so far proven what a valuable friend he could be. Now what fun could he be when there wasn't a prize at stake?

"Drink?" Asyr's ears nearly perked up at the very mention of the word or the thought of alcohol. "Now that sounds like a good idea to me." A little grin broke his lips; he'd been a drinker before joining up with the Bohemian, but he was certain that since he'd come to be a part of teh crew, he'd gotten even worse about it. Not that he though it was a bad thing, mind you. But what else was a pirate to do?
"Can't make any promises on the fightin', though. And as for strippin'... Well, we'll hafta see if Lady Luck ever comes to Prazhi, hm? If not..." Asyr chuckled softly and gave her a little wink. "Can always work somethin' out when we get back on the ship."
And so they stepped out into the small city that had grown up around the trade port, looking for somewhere to get into trouble. It didn't take long. Spacers tended to be the sort to enjoy a stiff drink, and smart bar owners had flocked to form an alcohol-drenched cordon of sorts around the space port.
Asyr's eyes flicked this way and that as they stepped into the bar, both assessing the place and looking for threats. It was a habit, and he wasn't going to break it anytime soon, especially after the chaos that exploded in the last bar they'd been on back on Coruscant. A few drunks were huddle over a table in a corner, though they looked like friends out for a good time rather than trouble makers. There were a few others he noticed--people hunched over tables and carrying on conversations in hushed tones, a few men and women playing pazaak, another group playing dice...
The last made him chuckle softly. It was a dice game that'd helped him 'win' Kai back on Coruscant. He'd certainly been lucky that night, though a good helping a skill hadn't hurt his efforts at all.
He sauntered up the bar and took a seat next to her after taking a moment to take his red coat off and lay it over the back of the high chair. Beneath it was one of his usual black shirts, fitting almost snugly over his muscled torso and zipped up from the bottom to around the middle of his chest. A few leather belt-like straps were usually wrapped around his stomach and chest, but today there was only one, sitting around his stomach just above the top of his pants. He only carried one heavy blaster on him today, holstered on his waist; it was very easily visible. A few other weapons were hidden on his person as well, like the knives in his boots.
But he didn't plan on using any of them. Not until he felt like it, anyway.
As they sat at the bar, waiting for one of the barkeeps to come to him, he let his eyes drift over to Kai, even as she took him in. Both of them had developed a sort of physical liking for the other since they'd met in that bar. Asyr looked good and he knew it. Kai looked good, and Asyr knew she knew it.
Add that to their flirty, lecherous ways and they complimented each other wonderfully. It was enough to make Asyr chuckle softly, and those shorts Kai was wearing... Mmmm, think I'll save those thoughts for when we get back on the ship.
"So what'll ya have?"
Asyr's eyes flicked up at the sound of a voice to see one of the barkeeps leaning with his elbow propped on the bar. He was a corpulent fellow, balding with at least three chins and beady little eyes. His ugliness was remarkable.
"Well, let see," Asyr said with a little smirk. "I think I'm feelin' whiskey today. Start me off with a shot, if you'd be so kind. I'm payin' for both us, by the by." He looked over to Kailani and gave her a boyish little grin. "What'll you be gettin' Miss Kai?"

A sweet smile skirted past her lips as Asyr made their orders, all one tab, of course. Normally Kailani didn't like stickin' around with the guys she fooled around with. They usually got clingy or possessive, needy even. But so far things with Asyr had been fine since she had joined the crew, flirty and light, the occasional late night romp thrown in, but so far so good. The perks though certainly out weighed the possible cons, for right now anyways. She hadn't bought her own drink since their meeting.
"I'll have a shot of rum, myself. Thanks." The blonde said with a nod of her head shooting a wide grin to the Echani man next to her, a finger running through the unruly white-blonde hair about her face as the bar tender slid the set of shots down the smooth wooden counter towards them.
Grasping the small glass in hand, Kailani lifted it up towards her companion. "To another port, another drink and another day, eh Asyr? Cheers." Throwing back the liquor it slid down her throat like cool fire, warming her inside out, a happy sigh escaping her lips as she smiled dreamily up at the well-cut individual who sat next to her.
"So, what do you usually do when you've got a free day at port, when you don't have lovely company like myself tagging along and suckin' drinks out of your wallet one-by-one?"

Rum she said, and rum it would be. The barkeep's eyes flickered over to Asyr, who gave a short nod of his head. What was he gonna do, say no?
As the barkeep walked down to the bar's far end to get their drinks, Asyr's powdery blue eyes flicked over to look at Kai. A light chuckle burst from his lips, soft and almost instantly drowned out by the soft din of noise that filled the place. He'd had a good deal of rum the night he'd met Kai. The night he'd won the right to take her back with him. He was nearly tempted to get some rum for himself out of an odd feeling of nostalgia, even though she'd only been with them for a short while.
Truth be told, he liked Kai. She was funny, as flirty as he was, and loved a good fight. To top things off, she kept things between them casual, leaving their relationship--if it could be called that--in a place where Asyr was quite fine with. All the fun and the perks, none of the emotional baggage. What more could a man ask for?
"Here you go." The bartender was back a moment later with both of their drinks in hand. He set them on the counter, slid them smoothly to the couple and gave a nod before moving to see to another patron.
"To another port, another drink and another day, eh Asyr? Cheers."
"Aye," he answered, face lighting up with a grin as he raised his glass to hers. "Cheers."
The glasses tinged together lightly and they drank. Asyr tipped the glass up, let the liquid fire trickle down his throat. He emptied the shot and smacked the glass down on the table, shaking his head and sighing with a wide grin. "Now that's the good stuff." He grinned at Kai. "Makes ya feel alive."
"So, what do you usually do when you've got a free day at port, when you don't have lovely company like myself tagging along and suckin' drinks out of your wallet one-by-one?"
He looked over to Kai with a mischievously mirthful twinkle in his eye and a youthful grin on his lips. "Well Miss Kai, truth be told, most times I'm lookin' for some pretty company to spend some time with, maybe take back to a room. But, looks like I'm lucky today, cause I already got that part taken care of." He paused to grin at her and reached forward to gently brush one of her platinum-blonde curls from her face with the back of a finger. "So whadda I do then? Well, depends on how long we're in.
"When we have a bit a time, I look around, see what kinda trouble there is to get into. You'd be sur-"
He paused and glanced over to a man sitting a few seats down from him. The fellow dressed darkly, wore a long coat much like the one Asyr was in. He was talking to the man sitting next to him, a Gran in worker's clothes.
"..member, you wanna make bets, you show up early. Fightin' starts after the sun goes down in the old warehouse two lots down from the port."
Fighting? Bets? Something about it piqued Asyr's interest. Maybe it was the Echani in him. He glanced back to Kai. "Think I mightta found somethin', Miss Kai."
He looked back down to the duo, noticed there were still talking, and held up a finger to indicate for her to hold on for a moment. The barkeep came back and looked down at Asyr's empty shot glass, then back up to him. Asyr nodded and the glass was taken away to be refilled.
That was about the time the man in the coat stood up and started to walk to the exit--a path that took him right by them.
"Hey pal," Asyr muttered softly to him as he passed by. "Heard somethin' about some fightin' after dark."
The man stopped and looked at him. His eyes were dark and beady, his head bald. He nodded once.
"Well don' just stand there like ya don' know how to talk! Come on sit down, have a drink. I think I can say me and my friend here," he nodded back to Kai, "might be interested, dependin' on the details."
He looked back to the blonde beauty and grinned. "Whatchu think, Kai? Wanna hear what he's got?"
