Biography: The story of Erem Dukar is one of a series of events that shouldn’t of happened. In particular, six events that should never have happened have shaped Erem’s life.
The first event is, ironically enough, his birth. Science has proven that Humans and Ubese are totally incapable of conceiving live offspring, due to the large differences in the two species’ respiratory and circulatory systems. It was this fact that Erem’s father, a mandalorian mercenary by the name of Meiko Delnam, was banking on when he and a young Ubese woman by the name of Olei Dukar conceived Erem on Uba Iv those 44 years ago. In fact, even after Meiko left the world, to be killed soon afterwards in an argument over a bottle of juma juice, as it was, and Olei was left with the child, there was no way to explain the birth. This resulted in the young Erem being cast out by his people, fearing what he was.
This led directly to the second event in Erem’s life that should never have occurred. For, at a rather young age, he left his home and his then dying mother. There was nothing left for the boy on the world, as his circumstances of living made him and his mother an outcast. In fact, Ubese doctors refused to treat the dying woman because they feared her as well for creating the amalgam that was Erem. He stole what little the Dukar family had and made his way out into the unforgiving galaxy at the age of fifteen. Interesting enough, the reason he was able to survive in the galaxy is the same reason that he had to survive in the galaxy. Being only half-Ubese, Erem was able to breathe and function on other worlds without an environment suit, though he is much more comfortable with one.
The first place Erem had left for was the last place anybody remembered seeing his father. Nar Shaddaa. It seems that this world never has anything good for those who visit, and such was the case for a Jedi Padawan named Uumda and Erem. For the third such event in his life was his first kill. It really wasn’t too difficult to understand, really. The Ubese hated all the Jedi, and Erem hated everybody. Though, Erem would have killed anybody at this point in his life for a few credits. Which is all he got from the padawan, whom he jumped along a back alley and killed, a knife through the neck.
Though, for all his attempts at not being seen, Erem had failed miserably. The entire spectacle was watched by a Mandalorian by the name of Frenn Delnam, a distant relative to Meikos, and, though neither would ever know, Erem’s only living relation in the galaxy. Impressed by the kill, Frenn brought the boy to the then still Mandalorian world of Mandalore, where Erem began training. This is, of course, the fourth event of true importance.
The fifth event occurred quite a few years later, when the Republic decided that the world of Mandalore was in violation of the Treaty of Mandoa, and came to reclaim it as Republic space. Because they couldn’t by law and because when the Republic came, they came in numbers too great to handle, the Mandalorians did not fight for their homeworld. Except for a few radical members who were quickly expunged by the Republic. One of these rogue Mandalorians, who the Mandalorian people denounced soon after the fighting, was none other than Erem Dukar. Following this, Erem Dukar was an outcast by his species, the Mandalorians, and the Galactic Republic. Which left only one place to go.
The sixth and final event that shaped Erem’s life came soon after he himself came to the Sith world of Muunilist and signed on to the Sith Military. The weak military took the strong warrior on gladly, and Erem quickly rose through the ranks. The event in question, however, will not be divulged here, as words themselves can not explain the event. What can be said of the event, which occurred during a scouting mission where Erem worked in espionage, is that it changed the man greatly. His hatred of those who had abandoned him became something more, something darker. Upon his arrival back on Muunilist, he immediately began work in a SpecForce division called the Darkeye Platoon, which had the sole purpose of doing the things nobody else in the galaxy could.
Which brings us to today, where one can only hope that there will be no more events as these.
