Born to a wealthy family on Muunilist, Nino expressed intrest in the world of banking and commerce at a young age. His father was a leading figure in the InterGalactic Banking Clan, or IGBC. Nino followed in his father's footsteps and became one of the IGBC's leading figures as well. He continued to work his way up after his father retired, eventually becoming Chairman. Nino Shive believes the IGBC will prosper, and he intends to make that so.
Before Nino became Chairman, the Banking Clan entered open relations with the Sith. While Nino doesn't approve of these dealings, the banker is not willing to stand up to the Sith, as he knows of their tremendous power and incredible abillities. Nino believes that war is coming. The Sith have made his home and the IGBC's headquarters their unofficial capital. If the Sith strike at the Republic, then as soon as the trail leads the Republic to Muunilist, they will strike there, sending soldiers, sending Jedi, to his home. Nino shudders at the thought. Seeing he has no choice, Nino will continue the Banking Clan's current relations with the Sith. IGBC Security Force will guard Muunilist and help the Sith in the war that looms on the horizon.
Nino Shive has been given basic combat training, enough to defend himself. He places most of the IGBC's, and his own, safety in the hands of the guardsmen who protect Muunilist and the Banking Clan's holdings. He is not very aggressive, and has tolerance for most people. Like most Muuns, he will only take calculated risks. While greedy, Nino does not let his pursuit of wealth cloud his reallity. When a meeting was called not too long ago, a Sith Lord asked him what his feeling were toward the Sith using Muunilist as their capitol, and having mutual relations with the Sith Empire. Nino replied saying, "Conflict may come to us both from this, but all in all, it is just good buisiness."
