Appearance: Nirisi has dark curly hair that is kept contained by a thick leather band. She has dark black eyes, that appear as if they are glowing with an internal fire. She wears a black Dark Jedi robe, with the hood pulled close about her face, and a black tunic and pants.
Birth place: Theed, Naboo
Faction: Sith Order
Rank: Initiate
Previous Faction: Dark Jedi
Previous Rank: Marauder Knight
Bio:
Nirisi was born on Naboo to a government official and a civilian. They both loved Nirisi very much, and- it must be confessed- spoiled her quite a bit during her first three years. Nirisi was first identified as force-sensitive by the Jedi watchman on Naboo. The parents of four-year-old Nirisi hesitated to send their only child away. However, after being urged by Nirisi's grandmother (who was herself force-sensitive, and had once wanted to join the Jedi), the girl's parents relented, and allowed Nirisi to be taken to the Jedi temple on Coruscant. When Nirisi was taken to the temple, the first thing the council noticed was her fear. The child was afraid of something..actually, lots of things, because of her sheltered up-bringing. Anger existed too...anger for havig been taken from her parents.
She also had an exaggerated idea of her own power, and a longing for even more control over others. This was worrisome in the extreme... but they were convinced by one Jedi on the council, who insisted he could work past the girl's emotions, and teach her to become a Jedi. They relented, and she became first a youngling, and later a Padawan. The Jedi Master took her to become his Padawan when she turned 11. She had already made great progress in the Shii-Cho form of lightsaber combat, and her Master perfected that form with her. Nirisi had not managed to conquer her fear. It kept eating at her, sending her life in directions she did not want it to go. Her Master watced this with concern, knowing that fear led to the Dark Side. As she grew, she managed to bring her fear under control...except in tense circumstances.
Her Master took her on many missions with him. The first step she took towards the dark side was on one such mission. They were to go to Alderaan, and help negotiate a trade treaty between Alderaan and a mining colony. The mission started normally- Nirisi and her Master got onto a ship and reached Alderaan at the correct time. However, all was not as it appeared. Nirisi's master ordered her to stay on the ship while he went to speak with the Alderaanian council. Resentful of his decision, Nirisi let her anger go, becoming pouty and dis-satisfied. When the trade negotiations were completed, Nirisi remained the same, despite her Master's best efforts to correct her attitude.
Their next mission was equally normal- head to a Mid Rim planet and check on suspected illegal activities. Here, too, Nirisi allowed herself to nurse and fondle her anger as her Master protected her by making her stay under shelter while he went to face down the suspected gang members. Even more pouty, and giving in to her old, spoiled nature, Nirisi grew to feel as if her Master was intentionally holding her back. In fact, 16 year-old Nirisi was firmly convinced she could pass the tests, and become a Knight! However, she kept quiet about her convictions, and didn't voice her concerns to her Master. Their next mission didn't give her any opportunity to continue her path, but the next did.
This mission involved a Dark Jedi named Sol Gar'Ben. The moment Nirisi stepped off the ship on the small moon, she was sold. The feel of awesome power and control that emanated from the place was exactly like that she had always wanted. She managed to keep herself in control, and act 'like a good little Jedi', and went with her Master. They met Sol Gar'Ben right where intelligence had said he would be- in a secret installation tucked a meter under the crust of the moon. As the three faced off, Nirisi identified the source of the power as Gar'Ben. However, she obediently pulled out her lightsaber as her Master did, and the two began fighting Gar'Ben. See RP Sample He convinced her to join the Dark Side, and Nirisi became a Dark Jedi. Gar'Ben trained her, building on her Jedi foundation. He found she had a natural aptitude for many elements of Dark Jedi teaching, and he used this aptness to his advantage. During this teaching, Nirisi rebuilt her lightsaber, making it double bladed and, according to her, twice as deadly.
Nirisi has grown resentful of her Jedi training, and is generally angry at any Jedi within sight. Gar'Ben nursed this resentment during her training, and used her as an unwitting tool for his own hatred. Gar'Ben didn't look forward to how powerful his training would make her however. Nirisi began to see him as she had once seen her Jedi Master...as an impediment to her own progress. On one of their missions, he was wounded in a fight with a Jedi. The Jedi got away, but Nirisi finished off Gar'Ben when he tried to use her Force energy to heal himself. Now, foot-loose and fancy free, Nirisi has assumed the title of a Dark Jedi Knight.
She was summoned to Korriban with many other Dark Jedi by Darth Iniquitous. She pledged her support to the new Sith order he was proposing, and was assigned to travel to Yaga Minor with Grawn Ianie to get information from a Bothan operative. During this mission, she helped Ianie pursue the Bothan across a city, eventually coming up against Republic troopers and nearly facing a Jedi. The two escaped that peril, however.

Nirisi didn't share her Master's caution. How could he be so bad, when he personified everything she had ever wanted? Sure, he was a Dark Jedi. Oh, no, run away from the big bad Dark Side! Nirisi thought sarcastically.
The refrain of so many Jedi...even great Masters. They seemed to cringe from this elusive power called the Dark Side. To Nirisi, it didn't precisely make sense. It was power. What was so wrong with power? Of course, Master had always tried to drum that out of her...the wanting power part. To Nirisi, power meant life. Without life, one was dead, and when one was dead, you couldn't live as others could.
Nirisi heard the snap-hiss of an activating lightsaber. It was His. Master's lightsaber appeared in his hand, it's snap-hiss also filling her ears. With a vague, hidden feeling of regret, Nirisi pulled her saber to her with the Force, letting the calm of the energy fill her. But still, under it all, there was still that powerful, dangerous, lethal force.
Her lightsaber hissed to life, and the hum of the three lightsabers flared in the room. The Dark Jedi attacked first, his lightsaber spinning towards Master's head in a form Nirisi had never seen before. Master blocked the blow, effortlessly it appeared, and parried with a rapidity he rarely exhibited.
The Dark Jedi rallied under the parry, sending his lightsaber thrusting back out, catching Master's blade in a rocking motion. Master grunted under the impact of the Dark Jedi's body crashing into his lightsaber, and spun around, getting away from the frenzied Dark Jedi.
Nirisi saw her opening and darted in, blocking the glowing red lightsaber with the calm, even flow of her blue one. The Dark Jedi had apparently been expecting Master's Padawan to sit there all day, gaping at the battle. He spun on her with a ferocity that astounded Nirisi...but also left her feeling vaguely exhilarated. She parried automatically, sending his blade away from her face.
Master broke in again, helping her repel the red away from them. Green and blue ricocheted off the red glowing blade, and accidentally clanged together. Nirisi shook her blade free, and went after the Dark Jedi again...just in time to get caught with a bolt of blue lightning that knocked her across the room, accompanied by a stinging, firy sensation that left her gasping for breath.
She lay on the cold stone floor, fighting back the wave of nausea the stench of singed flesh was bringing to her stomach. Gasping for breath, she summoned her entire will behind her, and sat up, groaning between clenched teeth with the effort. As she opened her eyes, she saw the fight had gone bad for Master. He was on the floor, apparently stunned. The Dark Jedi was standing over him exultantly...and then Nirisi saw the gash of blood that stained the back of Master's white tunic. He was dead.
She couldn't restrain a gasp...which made the Dark Jedi whirl towards her. She didn't let herself quail. She wasn't afraid of him. As he stepped closer, she felt that power overwhelm her. It felt wonderful, exultant. She let herself revel in it, letting the feeling of it seep into her. The Dark Jedi smirked triumphantly. "You are strong young one."
"Thank you. I guess." Nirisi said, bringing herself back to the realm of reality, and gazing at him.
He seemed to consider something a moment, then turned those dark black eyes on her again. "You are angry at your Master." he paused. "You are angry at me."
Nirisi gave a fractional shrug. "He wants to keep me a little youngling, and you just killed him."
"If you didn't like him so much, why be mad at me, my young apprentice?"
"I'm not your apprentice." Nirisi said cockily...but with a feeling in the pit of her stomach that spoke of the power he could give her.
His eyebrow went up, as if he, too doubted her confidence. "We shall see. Tell me, do you regret seeing your Master die?"
Nirisi pondered the question...and suddenly, apparently without reason, she began to contemplate all the times he had held her back. On Alderaan, when he had made her stay at the ship. When he had made her stay in the room when he went dashing off to fight those hoodlums back. When they busted the smugglers, and he had insisted she stay in her quarters, instead of talking to them. None of that was fair. It made her mad all over again.
She looked up, to see the Dark Jedi grinning again. He held out a hand out, and Nirisi realized he had moved closer. She took his hand, and suddenly, she felt as if a burst of power had flooded through her. She felt able to do anything.
And suddenly, she knew she'd do anything to keep that power.
