(I will most likely be updating this periodically as this is a long-time
work-in-progress, so check it every so often. The purpose of this is to
see if there would be any interest in forming a new faction.)
Character Name: Lord Vetari
Character Faction: Fringer (Soon, The Revenant)
Number Of People Wanted: No limit, but at least four to start with.
Reason For Partners: I'd like to create a new faction, The Revenant. As you may know, the requirement is that you must have five players willing to join in order to form a faction. And, obviously, I don't want to be RPing alone.
Also, because I'm creating a huge, corporate giant of a company, I'd like to invite people to come work for Viridian V as scientists, technicians, mechanics, doctors, mercenaries, and more. Of course, we won't actually start until everyone's characters are completed and approved - including mine.
Other: The Revenant will ideally at least, be made up of Fringers and quite a few Force sensitives (and several Grey and Dark Jedi I hope), as far as actual players go. The current Revenant Grandmaster, Lord Vetari, uses his powerful, multi-faceted company Viridian V as both a base of operations and a cover for the Revenant's activities. I think gathering Viridian V's Board of Directors / Revenant Masters would be the best (and most entertaining) place to start.
I thought I'd set Viridian V on Coruscant, so I'm uncertain right now as to whether the Revenant will actually have an entire planet under their control.
Here's what the faction application will look like for now if this generates enough interest:
Faction Name: The Revenant
Faction Purpose: To one day operate as part of the very backbone of the Republic, in order to stop it from being corroded away by the forces of anarchy. This is being done through the corporate empire called Viridian V. Also, to one day act as a balance between the Jedi and the Sith, checking the hand as it were of both organizations. This part of the faction's purpose is being done in as much secrecy as forethought, the Force, and money can buy. (But anything could happen depending on the circumstances. The Revenant might eventually end up as allies of the Jedi or Sith, whether temporarily or not.)
Faction Planet: ??
Financial Wealth: Um, a lot? Am I supposed to put an actual number or something?
Military Assets: A vast private security force made of AI's, droids, and mercenaries.
Form of Government: As far as the public face and Viridian V are concerned, Corporatism.
As for the Revenant, it's more or less a Monarchy under the line of the Vetari. As has been
the occasion many times throughout history, if no heir of the Vetari is available or able to
take up the mantle, then the Revenant becomes an elective monarchy and a new leader
is selected by the highest members of the order.
Faction History: The Revenant's roots stretch back three hundred years to the
days of the second Mandalorian War. After the war, many Jedi that had joined the battle
came to a consensus: for the sake of the galaxy and civilization itself, the Republic must not
be allowed to fall. They also found that both the Jedi and the Sith were too fanatical in their
beliefs and endangered the very fabric of civilization because of it. They formed a secret
society, keeping a close eye on the galaxy and ways to secure influence over it. They were
led by an ex-Jedi named Vetari.
In more recent times the Revenant, under the leadership of Vertes Vetari, discovered a
break-through in one of their small-time companies called Viridian. Unifying together
in ways as never before, the secret society poured their resources into the company,
creating a corporate giant now known as Viridian V (five).
Organization: I'm thinking both the public face (the company Viridian V) and
the secret society will be organized / arranged in pretty much the same manner; this should
cut down on any headache factor.

Viridian V
Owner / Founder
Lord Vetari retains ultimate control over his company. He oversees
each and every division of Viridian V and all decisions
must
ultimately go through him.
The Board of Directors
The Board are comprised of four of Vetari's most trusted and highest
ranking employees. Each of them are shareholders and oversee a
particular division of the company, namely PeaceCorp, MedCorp, SpaceCorp,
and CredCorp. (PeaceCorp is weapons technology, including
land-based
vessels, personal defense, and droids. MedCorp is all things medical
and pharmaceutical, including experimental procedures and cybernetics.
SpaceCorp handles the manufacture of starships as well as the security
of major trade routes.)
Division Chiefs
These employees rank highest in their respective divisions. For instance,
the head scientist (the one with the most skill and seniority, the top worker
bee if you will) would be the MedCorp Division Chief. Division Chiefs
report directly to Lord Vetari and work closely with the Directors in order
to keep everything running smoothly, not unlike personal assistants
or secretaries.
Executive Assistants
Also called Company Officers, these employees assist Division Chiefs
in their duties and act as 'gatekeepers' between the Chiefs and the
company's body of laborers, making sure that company policies are
being upheld and that the workforce is in good shape as far as payment,
vacation time, and conditions in the work-place go. Division Chiefs often
have upwards of three Executives to delegate to.
Workers / Laborers
These employees are on the lowest rung of the proverbial corporate
ladder. Laborers make up the largest section of Viridian V and are the
real backbone of the company.
The Revenant
The Grandmaster
Currently Vertes Vetari (aka "The Gentleman"). The Grandmaster either
inherits the position or is elected by the Masters of the order. At one
time, it was not a single individual, but a triad of Grandmasters of the
Vetari lineage that lead the order. It remains to be seen if this practice
will be endorsed once again should Lord Vetari find two individuals
worthy of the position.
The Masters
These powerful Force-users make up the ruling council of the Revenant
and work
in union with the Grandmaster. (They also make up Viridian V's
Board
of Directors.) Many of them were once Jedi of one sort or another and some
are the decendents of the order's original council of Masters.
The Enforcers
This fearsome class of warriors are usually Force adepts trained in the
art of stealth and assassination. They are the sword of the Revenant,
imposing the order's will and striking down those that oppose or betray
the Republic and tyrants that prey on the defenseless and induce anarchy.
The Agents
Agents are the operatives of the Revenant, similar to Knights of
the Jedi Order. They sometimes complete tasks on behalf of the Enforcers
and may accompany them on certain missions if they are skilled enough.
Agents are also charged with helping to instruct the Adepts of the order.
The Adepts
These individuals are not always Force sensitive, but are nonetheless
students of the Revenant. Since they have shown promise, they
are given tutelage by the either the Masters or the Agents of the order.
They often accompany Agents on missions, particularly when they
themselves are reaching out for the rank of Agent.
The Novices
Those that have only just begun to discover what the Revenant truly
is are Novices, not unlike Younglings of the Jedi Order (as far as training
and experience goes). Many of them would have once considered themselves
civilians.
