Age: 48
Height: 5'7"

Appearance: Krieg looks of the average Duros; he is on the shorter side compared to a Human male of his age but is relatively well built from a military lifestyle. He has an increased care for the individuals under his command and this cautiousness has helped him in his thought process in many a crucial decision.
-

Tactical mind: Hamat's claim to fame is his thinking on the fly tactics. He is able to quickly act and react, and his analyzations of his enemy before and during combat make him a formidable force.
Compassion: Not a stranger to the common man's life Krieg knows what it is like to care about a family. He is able to sympathize with and communicate with anyone from the enlisted Crewman to the fellow Admiral, and this has proven a valuable trait as he has progressed through the ranks from an underling to a respected commander.

Bio: Born on Coruscant, his father was a retired Republic Navy Commander, who was in command of a small battleship assigned to the 3rd Fleet. At the time of Krieg's birth his father was a political aide to a important Senator and his mother retired from being a waitress after his birth.
Krieg grew up as a relatively ordinary child, showing an aptitude for being a leader in a group. As a student his scores were above average and he was proud of his academic prowess. Growing up his father instilled in him a pride for the Republic and it's leaders, and when the time came for Krieg to graduate he immediately joined the Republic Navy.
In his element in the military regiment of boot camp after graduation Hamat was passed on to Officer Candidate Training, where his aptitude for leading was expressed. Krieg took a liking to the Tactical department of ship operations and after graduating Officer Candidate Training was assigned as an Ensign to a battered Inner Core patrol vessel. The ship had seen battle years ago but was now reduced to the boring (in Hamat's opinion) duty of protecting the Inner Core of the Republic. Krieg was able to cut his teeth on a few minor skirmishes with pirates during his service on the Periculum but the military regimen would be nothing compared to Hamat's next assignment.
With a recommendation from his former Commanding Officer Krieg was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and recycled to a Republic rapid response warship, aptly named Ultimatum. Krieg, as a tactical advisor proved his worth to the crew of the Ultimatum, and his service record was bolstered with minor honors and recommendations from his Captain. None the less when his two year recycle came up his Captain requested he stay; Hamat agreed to remain aboard the Ultimatum, as he had enjoyed his past time there, for an extra year, and took a promotion to Lieutenant and Assistant Chief Tactical Advisor. Now with his opinions and thoughts truly advocated and valued Hamat was able to guide the Captain's hand in various encounters, eventually leading to the Captain's promotion to the flag rank of Commodore.
Hamat's extended year aboard the Ultimatum flew by, sped up by the loss of his friend the Captain. Their new CO was a fresh Commander who recently entered the Command division of the Navy. His greenness was shown in battle after battle but Hamat used the oppurtunity to test his hand even further, guiding the battles along and leading to the success of the Commander. With a kind word from the Commander to his past service Hamat finally left the Ultimatum at the age of 27 as a Lieutenant.
Krieg's career choices were varied. He could r choose to take another position aboard a starship, but Hamat felt the need to be closer to home so he took a desk job teaching at the Republic Naval Academy. Able to live close to his family and maintain a life outside the Navy at the age of 28 Krieg met his wife while at a bar. A waitress there he pursued a relationship with her. The two quickly fell in love, and after only eight months of dating were married and living together in a humble apartment on one of the more decent streets of Coruscant.
Krieg remained a teacher at the Academy until the age of 30, receiving a promotion to Lieutenant Commander along the way. Only two months after his promotion his father died suddenly of a heart attack. Shocked and depressed by this occurance Krieg, along with his wife, packed up and left Coruscant. He requested a reassignment back to a ship and was granted it soon after due to his extensive service. Hamat made the change to ship life relatively easy; he was allowed to share a civilian crew quarters onboard with his wife and she took a place on the resident lounge of the larger battleship. Krieg was given the position of Chief Strategic Advisor which he took with gusto; it was his first time truly part of the senior staff of a vessel, and he relished the challenge. Different tactics and maneuvers were christened by him during this time, some which he still uses today.
About seven months into his new position his wife finally became pregnant. This excited Krieg immensely; they had always wanted a family and it was finally within their grasp. The baby was born without a hitch and Hamat was now the proud father of a infant Duros boy. Krieg raised his son on the side with the same Republic centered values that his father had taught him.
The Lieutenant Commander served two tours on the Redemption until he finally pursued a passion hidden up 'till then; ship command. Krieg had always felt he was a natural leader but it wasn't until a deep talk with his commanding officer that he realized what he felt was his true potential. Hamat went back to school as a 34 year old and graduated as a full fledged Commander. He was awarded command of a medium sized cruiser named the Invincible. The Commander was assigned to the 2nd Battle Fleet; this was his first posting in a actual fleet setting instead of as an independent vessel, and he was faced with the hard choice of remaining with his family on the Invincible or sending them to Coruscant where they could reside safely.
After much thought Hamat decided to remain with his family; this decision would definitely turn out for the best in Krieg's opinion in the years to come. His wife was again pregnant with their second child with Hamat at the age of 35.
Krieg's time on the Invincible was well spent, in his opinion. After three years on board the Invincible and now as the happy father of two boys he was promoted to Captain and moved as a Task Group Commanding Officer, where he remained in loose command of a three ship team. The Duros took the job with vigor, remaining as a active member in fleet operations and becoming a respected member of the 2nd Fleet. Many knew the name of Captain Hamat by the end of his time in the 2nd Fleet for his inventive, sporadic style of command.
Hamat served with distinction as a vessel commanding officer and Task Group commanding officer. He was eventually offered a flag officer position of Rear Admiral Lower Half, which, if he accepted, would allow him to fulfill his dream of joining the Admiralty of the Republic. Along with the rank came command of an independent Task Force which was to be assigned to Outer Rim operations, patrolling for pirates and monitoring any alleged Fringe activity. The only downside was that he would be forced to leave his love, the Invincible, in favor of a larger flagship.
Krieg cut his loses and left the Invincible, but was able to bring with him his executive officer to the new flag. The ship, renamed the Paladin by Hamat, was a fresh off of the ship yards battle ship ripe for war. Now with a dozen Captains reporting to him Krieg cut his teeth on directing the assaults and tactics of more than one vessel, and he did so well. His analytical mind enabled him to predict and act upon his enemies moves, and the often untrained pirates they faced stood no chance against the coordinated force of Hamat's Task Force. Krieg's name grew in stature at Republic Command and after a brilliant two years of service in the Outer Rim he was brought back to the Inner Rim, where he was promoted to Rear Admiral and assigned as the executive officer of the 5th Fleet. This new challenge of executing instead of issuing orders was a change of pace for Hamat but one he took in stride.
Krieg, at the age of 45, seemed to have it all. He was a respected Rear Admiral, his family was flourishing, he enjoyed the day to day operations of his fleet and flagship, and this reflected in his actions. The Admiral developed a good relationship with his commanding officer, Vice Admiral Steven Bawden, and it was his personal recommendation that, when the job opened, brought Krieg to where he is today.
The change was swift; he received the orders, not requests, on a forgettable, average day early in the morning to report to the capital and prepare to take command of the 4th Battle Fleet. The Rear Admiral reported, along with the Paladin, to Coruscant within the day, and was christened as a Vice Admiral. He officially took command of the 4th Battle Fleet, a position he still holds today two years later.
His children continue to grow older as well; his firstborn recently graduated high school and has enlisted in the Republic Navy, and his second son still resides with Krieg and his wife on the Paladin. Proud of both of them and happy to be where he is in his life, Hamat takes life day by day onboard the Paladin, directing the 4th Fleet of the Republic.. In these dark times Krieg stands ready to help lead the Republic through as best as he can.

RP Sample: "Bring the Dauntless around left and have Pincers seven to ten perform a claw maneuver on their right flank," called Vice Admiral Hamat, swiftly delivering orders to a communications Ensign seated in the corner. He received a nod of acknowledgement and the Human swiveled to send them to the fleet.
Krieg watched the front viewscreen carefully, taking in the events of the battle. The 4th Fleet was engaged with a formidable pirate force, closely comparable in size but not as well trained or disciplined. The trick was not just defeating them, but defeating them with as little casualties as possible. "Sir, the Daystrom has lost forward shields."
"Move the Paladin to compensate, open up all weapon batteries on their flag." The large warship of the Admiral hulked over in front of the battered heavy cruiser Daystrom, returning fire straight into the pirates lead ship. "Any reported casualties, Lieutenant?" he inquired to the ship Operations officer seated to the left of the bridge.
"Not as of yet, Admi- Sir, the vessels towards the back of the pirate armada are powering hyperdrive engines."
"All ships, concentrate fire on the forward ships, disable their engines. Priority 2." Priority 2 signified that all systems were to be diverted to the Admiral's orders besides that of life support. The forward ships engines began exploding, not giving enough time for the full group to retreat. A few fled off, becoming a blur in the stars, but victory had been achieved.
"Commander, hail the enemy and send them my regards and the details of their surrender." The Duros Vice Admiral sat back in the seat of his Captain's Chair, admiring his handy work with a subdued grin.
Not a bad day, not a bad day at all.

(I understand this may be a bit ambitious but I felt I came up with a strong enough bio to support the rank; position is obviously negotiable but it looked to me like the Republic Navy needed some leadership. Hope to hear from management soon
