Faction: Republic
Department: Navy
Rank: Private
Name: Zeferis
Race: Dug
Age: 25
Height: 1.12 meters
Weight: 115
Birth place: Malastare, Mid Rim
Appearance: Zeferis has light grey skin with patches of dark grey around his hands and feet. He has a fit and athletic body with some muscles around his arms and legs do to him working with them a lot. His eyes are hazle colored. All around his face, he has minor scars that he got during his previous work, mostly because of his creations going wrong. For clothing when off-duty, he usually is seen wearing a black shirt and dark grey pair of pants, and is always seen wearing a pouch around his waste with his trademark wrench in one of the holsters.
Personality: Zeferis is ill-tempered. He is quick to get annoyed; say something to him, he ignores you. Repeat it in the most annoying fashion; you are most likely to get a wrench to the head or, if you’re lucky, just be told to shut up. This temper has gotten him into trouble in the past, and because of this he had tried to calm down before he looses it and winds up knocking a guy into submission.
If one stays with Zeferis long enough, and doesn’t trigger his temper, they find out that this Dug has a good side. When he’s with people he knows well and is in a good relationship, he is kind, friendly, and quite interesting. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, most of the time in a hangar where he has access to various ships to fix or scrap he can use for one of his ‘creations’, as he has an interest in starships, technology, and tinkering with or building things.
Skills: Zeferis has a thing with repairing starships. Give him a small or medium sized starship, and he can fix or dismantle it as long as it’s a model that doesn’t have custom parts or parts he doesn’t know about. This is usually rare, but not impossible, as he knows that some people in the galaxy have a custom starship built with their own picked parts.
Alongside repairing starships, because of his knack for technology, he tends to use any junk or extra parts to make his own creations. Occasionally these are low-cost versions of already working technology; he is capable of creating bombs or other explosives out of junk and household chemicals. If anyone sees him working on something with their starship parts, don’t question the Dug…at all.

Bio: Life on Malastare was interesting. Of course, if you’re a Dug living in one of the tree thorps that many would call primitive, interesting would just be a common thing. For Zeferis, life was dull; with noting to do put transverse the tree tops doing some sort of work while somewhere on the planet, Republic ships stopped by each day at the outpost for whatever purpose. And sometimes, one of those ships flew over the forest where Zeferis called home.
No wonder the Dug grew fascinated with technology.
Zeferis was born and raised on Malastare for 19 years, his father being a hunter who usually left home everyday, while his mother stayed behind to take care of the young Zeferis. Being young, Zeferis didn’t mind the normal life of a Dug on Malastare, as he had yet to be subjected to the long and dull work that he now considers “old”. He was a curious guy, examining everything in the house, playing with almost everything even when told not to, and when he was old enough to leave the house and explore the tree thorp on his own, check out every building unless he was told not to.
It was safe to say that his curiosity sparked once he caught glimpse of his first starship sighting, seeing a “metallic beast that flew gracefully over the trees”. His mother told him what they were, and yet the young Dug still called them metallic beasts until he was older. At age 10, he was told by a friend about him seeing the place the starships land, describing it as a large place where these ships flew in and out to explore new worlds. He even found out that Dugs even decided to pursue a life on one of these starships, making home on some distant planet doing something. Now, starships interested him a lot, but hearing that he could be on some other planet, filled with technological wonders? Zeferis decided his goal for when he grew up, to not only be on one of these starships and work on them, but to explore new worlds.
The next nine years was hectic for him, getting even more hectic around age 15. The other Dugs, who were mostly rude, constantly make fun of him for this goal, saying that he would most likely be stuck on Malastare or get himself blown up seconds after leaving. In five years, Zeferis developed a temper towards anyone rude, annoying, or simply hates. In four years, he grew to hate his work, as he is given some work that is not hunting or scouting. His father, who often travelled to the outpost, saw that Zeferis didn’t like his work, and decided to bring him to the outpost and attempt to get him a job there so he is doing something he likes to do. This was where Zeferis learned how to fix and take apart starships, as there was always some starship that needed repairs, and there was enough spare parts that he could make something useful.
Finally at age 19, Zeferis had enough credits and experience through his work that he could finally leave Malastare. His father and mother knew this day would happen, and they were prepared by getting clothing and supplies ready for Zeferis and seeing him off. Returning to the outpost and telling his boss about his plans (whom he made friends with overtime), he left Malastare on a shuttle, heading to Coruscant to finally start his adventure.
But an easy start, it was not. It took a week for him to find a job that involved working on starships, and when he did find one, the owner of the store was not a nice guy. Zeferis, being desperate, took the job anyway, but tried his best to keep his temper in check despite his boss being rude. It was worth it though, as new starships came in everyday for repairs, and Zeferis built up a stockpile of parts that he occasionally used for one of his “creations”.
He continued his work for four years, but at age 25, enough was enough. One day, his boss had the good idea to piss him off by calling his creations junk, and even destroying one that he was proud of! The Dug lost his temper, and quickly tackled his boss and beat knocked him into submission using his wrench. Zeferis was sure he would loose his job, disappointed that he would once again be job searching at the cost of showing his “boss” not to piss him off.
Thankfully fate was on his side.
The commotion was heard by an officer who was in search of an engineer who can not only repair ships, but can help out on the field. There were hundreds of recruits for this area, but only a few got in. Out of these few, most either couldn’t handle it, or died in the line of duty. It was luck that the officer was attempting to find someone for that area by visiting public owned hangars, and that the officer was visiting the hangar that Zeferis in. Naturally, upon seeing the Dug beating up his former boss, the officer briefly thought the Dug was not a good choice, but seeing how the Dug was treated, and being shown what he can do, the officer was convinced to let the Dug join the Navy; an offer Zeferis took right away.

Overcrowded was an understatement. Zeferis just happened to choose a certain club to hang out and get a drink during his time off-duty, and in a matter of an hour, it was packed to the brim with people of different species watching some sort of racing sport. Zeferis couldn’t care less; sports weren’t his favorite thing in the galaxy except for something starship related. For now, he was just ignoring the people in the club until he was finished with his drink.
"Hey hey, hey! What's the big idea?!"
And now comes the part he hate. With this many people, there will be a few who is more aggressive than others. Zeferis took a glance to see who it was that said that, and spotted a Rodian and a Gran. The Rodian seemed angry, and Zeferis could tell why; he had liquid on his shirt, and the Gran's glass was empty. There's the problem right there...
"You were in my way."
"In you're way? Oh no, you're not putting the blame on me you idiot!"
The Rodian pushed the Gran back; push came to shove, shove came to punching each other. Zeferis gritted his teeth as the two started fighting and suddenly everyone's attention was on the Rodian and Gran. Meanwhile, Zeferis's temper was running as he came here for a relaxing drink, not...THIS!!
Zeferis closed his eyes and sighed. "Okay Zefer...remain calm. Finish you're drink and leave..." he muttered to himself.
Zeferis heard a loud crash in front of him, making him force his eyes open. One of them shoved the other on top of table at the moment the Dug tried to calm himself down, and in the process, smashed the glass the contained his drink.
Okay, that's IT!
The Dug jumped on top of his table, whipping out his wrench from its holster. "Which one of you idiots ruined my drink!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. No one heard him, meaning the Dug had to do things his way. He leaped off the table and fiercely rushed at the Rodian and Gran who didn't even notice him yet until it was too late. He first went after the Rodian, jumping on it's back and hitting him in the back of the head.
At the same time, the Gran looked on in horror as the Rodian was attacked and knocked out cold by a Dug. Zeferis looked at him in anger, growling as he leaped off the unconscious Rodian and progressed towards the Gran.
"W-wait! I am sorry about the drink! I will get you a new one!!" The Gran cried out in fear.
"I don't care anymore! You two pissed me off, now, you will pay!" Zeferis roared before he tackled the Gran into the ground, hitting the wrench against the Gran's face and knocking him out.
In the end, the only thing everyone in the club could do was give the Dug some room as he left grumbling something about idiots. Now...who will tend to the two knocked out?
