More of a heads up than a farewell:

As some already know, I got a new job. This week in particular, I'm going to be pretty much wrapped up in it. Time will tell how it's going to affect my involvement on SWU. It's pretty safe to say, however that it will be considerable.

But never fear, my lovelies. Mama Meira loves you all far too much to give up without a fight. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's finding time for SWU.

I'll thank you ahead of time for your patience while I figure all of this out.

So I'm going to New York Thursday through Monday. Won't be around that whole time. No worries though friends, I'll be back before you even notice I'm gone.

Obviously, if you need anything, we have an extensive mod team to help you out. And there's always Sparrow. Feel free to pester him to your heart's content.

Oh my SWUlings, how I miss you.

Not sure if any of you have noticed overly much, but I've been, and will continue to be, fairly scarce for a while. Why? Well because I got a promotion! With it comes a great deal of work that I have to do in as short a time as possible. So, for the remainder of this month, I'm going to be all but a ghost on here. I'm terribly sorry, but it is unavoidable. There are few things that I love more than SWU, it just so happens that making more money is one of them.

Luckily, this extra load of work is only temporary and after it's done, I should be back to the fairly reliable schedule I've had until now. Those I've left hanging RP-wise, I apologize profusely. If you have any site questions, please remember that our staff is well versed in all things SWU and more than willing to help a brother out. Please utilize them. If there is something needed that absolutely requires my attention, they know how to get a hold of me.

I thank you for your patience and understanding. Please rest assured that Mama Meira loves you all very dearly and will not suffer this forced absence for any longer than is absolutely necessary. Soldier on my lovelies, I'll see you soon.

Oh my dear SWUlings,

Once again, that world of work has kept me away from you and I am dreadfully sorry for it. I know that this is a typical time of flux for SWU what with different school schedules and getting back into the swing of things. I'm no stranger to this. Because of the work I do, I also revolve around school schedules and this part of the year happens to be a very busy one for me. Now, let's add to that the fact that my husband and I are going on a cruise and you can imagine that this Meira has been scurrying around making sure she has all her little ducks in a row before she leaves.

SO, starting today through Thursday, I'll still KINDA be around. By "kinda", I mean that SWU staff will be able to get in touch with me and I MIGHT be able to make a post or two should time and luck allow. But that depends. There's a lot going on these 4 days. Then, once Friday rolls around, we will be on our way to the cruise ship and amongst friends and family, so I won't likely have any time for anything but that, nor will I have my laptop sooo... yeah. Come Saturday, my phone will be officially turned off until the following Thursday evening, so I will be digitally nonexistent, even to our dear staff.

I fully expect you all to cause a ruckus and/or general mayhem while I'm gone. I will be very disappointed if I return to find you've all been boring.

My most cherished and beloved SWUvians,

Remember that time my laptop borked? You probably don't because I wasn't around to tell you about it. But it happened. It was not epic.. or dramatic. I just turned it off one day and it never turned on again. A shame, really. I had just gotten some good stickers on it.

Anywho, that happened in August... and now it's November. I still don't have a new laptop to replace the old. But I'll get around to it eventually. As you might except... or have already noticed... lack of said laptop has made SWUing basically impossible. I haven't written in months, and I feel that loss keenly.

So I'm writing this from my phone while I wait for the super glue on my glasses to set (everything I own seems to be breaking) in an effort to ensure that I get my foot back in the virtual door of RP and SWU life in general. With my birthday coming up, I've got my eye on a laptop or two so maybe I'll be back in this thing in a couple of weeks.

In the mean time... how are you? Have you been eating well?
