Name: Vera Serin
Race: Unknown
Age: 21
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 110
Appearance:
Birth place: Kamino
Faction: Dark Jedi
Rank: Aristocrat/Dark Master
Bio:-
(Origin, Part 1)
Ever own a mercenary force that rivalled some planetary armed forces?
What about enough cash to buy a small country?
How about a Jedi, ever controlled your own Dark Jedi?
This is something that Kaeron, a wealthy tycoon of Coruscant, had to have. Why? Simply put, because he could.
The problem with Kaeron was that he was never one to blend in as he saw himself above the rest, somebody who shone amongst the common rabble. He wanted people to notice him and he usually went out of his way to ensure that the spotlight would be focused on him, wherever he went. Unfortunately however, for Kaeron, many actually surpassed his own wealth to the extent that he was probably considered a pauper in comparison. These competitors acted as a constant thorn in his side, outdoing him at almost every function or event.
One day though, Kaeron actually met someone who offered him a proposition he couldn’t refuse, a proposition that would put any of the eye-dazzling paraphernalia his competitors bared to shame, no matter how grandiose. The stranger had offered Kaeron the chance to control a Dark Jedi.
It wasn’t as simple as shaking hands and having one delivered however and Kaeron would soon find himself pooling resources into some questionable endeavours as well as meeting some shady people.
(Origin, Part 2)
Serin awoke with a sigh, her tired body feeling unresponsive and her vision appearing blurry as she groggily opened her eyes. At best, she gathered she was lying on a bed, in what could possibly be a hospital judging by the bland colours she noticed through the haze. Trying to get a little focus, she blinked and almost reeled back in shock (if she could) as she found a silhouette now stood where there had been nothing before.
Calming herself, Serin saw the opportunity to find the answers to a few questions through the figure and so, in a somewhat strained tone, she whispered out, “Where am I?”
“Kamino, child,” the figured replied, its gaze seemingly fixed on her, or as near as she can tell.
“What… what am I doing here?” she struggled to ask as she fought to stay awake.
“Coming into play…” the figure stated simply.
“Wha-” she stammered, but unable to finish as the darkness closed around her; cloaking the figure.
Some time later, when the Kaminoans arrived to wake Serin, they found nothing but an empty bed. It was a disappointment but they weren’t much for emotional outbursts and so after washing their hands of the affair and paying little heed to Kaeron’s subsequent mewling, turned their attention to different and bigger projects.
(Later)
Gelnor, a good friend of Kaeron’s, was actually the mind behind Serin’s escape. Unfortunately, he found he had a lot more pressing matters to attend to, rather than uphold a friend’s trust. The thing was that Gelnor was getting on in the years and as his health withered, he couldn’t help but bemoan the fact that he had yet to find an heir.
He didn’t want just any heir however; he wanted someone he knew could maintain the empire he’d built. He needed someone with the cunning and resolve to make the right decisions for the company, no matter how questionable the ethics. It was while he was pondering who could take his position that Serin came to mind, Kaeron’s pet project. After all, a Dark Jedi seemed to maintain all the values he believed a good business owner needed to succeed.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t go out on his own to secure his prize, with his health being as it was and so had to resort to hiring someone. He of course went through the proper channels, being no stranger to the darker side of business, and had soon organized the whole operation. The group he had hired seemed perfect for the job and while he was not permitted their names, he had heard much about their previous exploits. There’s no such thing as a perfect plan however and it wasn’t long before he found out that the group he had hired was eliminated and Kaeron’s venture had been lost.
For a year, Gelnor heard nothing until one day Serin actually appeared at his door, of her own accord. He immediately recognized her from the pictures Kamino sent and while he should have been overjoyed, he was a little worried about the reason a Dark Jedi might show up on his doorstep. She was direct with him however and made it clear she was there for an opportunity to strike a deal. Gelnor was almost too happy to make a deal -thanks to a little clever use of the force on his withering mind- and by the end of the day he’d signed over his entire fortune to Serin, in the event of his death.
In the mean time, Serin made her way for Korriban to begin her training as a sith.
Serin arrived on Korriban shortly after, departing from a shuttle which had just come from Nar Shadaa. At the time, she was looking for a place, if you will, amongst the Sith, or rather “the” place. Even before she had stepped onto the shuttle, she had seen herself trying to take control. She knew it’d be no cake walk but Serin wasn’t the type to shrug and give up just because there may be a bit of adversity.
Little is known of the person who had taken Serin from the facility, except that she/he may have been a bit of a traditionalist when it came to the ways of the Jedi/Sith. This is evident in Serin’s odd choice in weaponry. Instead of going with the common and more popular lightsaber, Serin actually had a solid blade.
It was a weapon she actually was quite proud of, created using the Jedi Forge technique coupled with Sith Alchemy. The end result was a powerful sith sword that could even withstand the strength of a lightsaber.
Besides her weapon, she seemed to handle her force powers well enough, knowing nothing spectacular or different from what was taught. She was always eager to learn more though but for now, she found her blade was enough.
Serin’s progress through the ranks of the sith was mostly fueled by her passion as she fought to see her dreams become reality, convincing herself that all the wrongs she committed were merely sacrifices which had to be made for the greater good. Serin herself was against killing, lying, betrayal, etc, and yet, she’d probably broken every moral she’d ever held dear to herself as she steadily advanced her skills.
When Gelron finally died, Serin was left to inherit the fortune and left the academy, instead catching the eye of the aristocracy and the advantages her newfound wealth could grant. She now has a place within their ranks and is content... for the moment.
(Company)
Serin is the owner of Gelron Enterprises, a massive shipping/vehicle company. They of course are mainly building ships for the sith these days, thanks to Serin's current allegiance with them.
Changing the name from Gelron was one thing Serin couldn't change Gelron's mind on, even with the force, but she found it best as she preferred not to flaunt her own name in such a way.
(Goals)
Serin’s goals are simple, to unify the universe under her own ideals. She has witnessed the chaos around her and the lack of control the current authorities have and believe it’s her job to set things right. Of course, she understands that peace comes with a heavy price and if that price is a war, followed by a galaxy controlled with an iron grip… then so be it. After all, what do the masses know about what’s good for themselves and what’s not?
Lightsaber: None, although she does fancy dual purple lightsabers, she doesn’t carry her sabers with her. Instead, she chooses to carry her more traditional blade.
Color: Purple, if she uses a lightsaber.
