( link to ship:swrponline2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=republicships&action=display&thread=4136) The meeting in the council chambers was successful, Gaius, the jedi Master now had two brand new padawan's, he was content and they seemed rather pleased. Still, Gaius didn't like to spend too much time at the jedi temple if he had the chopice, he would rather be out in the galaxy dfighting the good fight against the sith. Although there was some contention as to whether or not the Jedi should aid the republic, Gaius was very much for the war, he saw it as a weakness to bow out and not take part because it would ultimately effect the Jedi Order and cause further imbalance with in the force if the Sith were allowed free reign and dominance over galactic interests. Gaius had acquired a light corvette class ship from the republic, it was by no means his as in a possession, but it was issued as a ambassador type ship so he could freely mmove across republic held sectors and perhaps some not so republic sectors if the need had arisen. this particular occassion he was using it to transport himself and his newly found padawans to Ilum, to further their training with in the force and to see if they could implement what they had been taught in classes and use it in a more pratical sense. Gaius was always one for testing people, baptism by fire, as it were. " Come, padawans.. your future awaits you...." He nodded softly as he walked towards the ship and made his way up the ramp.

(OOC; Lemme know if you'd like more, I feel like I'm missing something, but I'm not sure.)
Joran rushed down the halls of the Jedi Temple, towards the landing pad he’d been instructed to be at as soon as possible. A smile was plastered to his face as he maneuvered politely but quickly around the other members of the Order that were passing back and forth in the passageways, his excitement at not only being noticed but chosen and apprenticed to a Master Jedi was being drowned out at the new knowledge that he was about to embark on a journey to a new planet as well.
Skidding to a slightly more dignified pace as he came within sight of his Master and Dalaya, who were already heading towards the ship’s ramp, he fell in line behind them as Gaius quietly said, "Come, padawans.. your future awaits you...."
Once on the ship, Joran slipped the pack he had hanging off of one shoulder and held it at his side, “Master, I wasn’t sure if it was necessary, but I brought along several changes of clothing. I also have my training saber to practice with, though…I wasn’t sure if I’d need it.”

Gaius removed his robes and folded them neatly before placing them on one of the chairs in the ship, he knew it would be quite along trip to their destination, to which he has not informed his padawans as to where they are going, he liked to keep his cards close to his chest, as it were. "Master, I wasn’t sure if it was necessary, but I brought along several changes of clothing. I also have my training saber to practice with, though…I wasn’t sure if I’d need it." joran stated, Gaius smiled and nodded slightly " always be ready for the unexpected my young padawan.. for who knows what we may encounter in our on going adventures with one another..." The Jedi Master quietly made his way to the make shift kithcen area of the ship, he was craving a cup of tea of all things, it helped him relax and unwind, especially having to be round so many humans for an extended period of time. As the kettle was set to boil, he returned to his padawans holding a datapad that he had hidden away in his utility belt. Gaius was always prepared and as this trip would take a fair while, he thought it would be an excellent time to test and teach his new padawan learners in other aspects of being a jedi, for they would indeed be tested in the years to come. " I have an assignment for you both, you will be working together" he paused for a moment as he handed out the datapads to both his padawans " this is your assignment.." he handed Joran a datapad with his right hand. He nodded as he handed the datapad over before placing his hands behind his back in a regal fasion holding his chin up high aand looking down towards the younglings, he continued " this assignment is to test your patience, ressolve and diplomacy skills... take your time, for i will not rush either one of you.. if you have any questions or queries, i will aid you, but i shal not give you any answers.." Gaius returned to the kitchen area to the now boiled kettle. He took a small cup and placed a tea bag into the cup and poured the water in slowly and followed up by removing the tea bag and dipping it in and out of the water a couple fo times before disposing of the tea bag. Datapad Assignment You have been sent to the planet of Onderon by the request of the Council to diffuse a possible civil war between the royalists and the military. Negotiantions betwen the two sides are near breaking point and the society is split into two factions and tensions are rising, it is your duty to quell the potential civil war and determine who should be in office for the planet and who will serve the civiliations best interest. A brief overview of Onderon: Onderon had four moons. Dxun, the primary moon, once orbited very close to the planet, allowing some animals to fly between the planet and the moon. The other three moons were Dagri, Evas and Suthre.
The native Humans of Onderon struggled against the beasts, eventually gathering new technologies and building a huge walled city, Iziz, to protect themselves. Like the people of many other fringe worlds, the Onderonians had a distrust of non-Humans.

Joran placed his pack off to the side, where it wouldn’t get in the way and seated himself in one of the free chairs. As his master moved off to the small kitchen area, he took a few minutes to look around the interior of the craft. Being his first time going off-planet, he wanted to be sure that he remembered every detail of the journey.
Gaius soon returned and in his hand was a datapad that he definitely hadn’t been carrying before. "I have an assignment for you both, you will be working together." Arching an eyebrow, Joran took the pad from his Master. This was, unexpected; he didn’t realize he’d be having something to do so soon after getting on the ship.
"This is your assignment…this assignment is to test your patience, resolve and diplomacy skills... take your time, for I will not rush either one of you... If you have any questions or queries, I will aid you, but I shall not give you any answers...”
With a great effort of willpower, Joran managed not to moan out loud when he heard it was a lesson on diplomacy of all things. His patience certainly would be tested, and quite possibly his sanity. Shaking his head , he took a brief glance over the information. It appeared to be a case of settling an argument between two opposing forms of government for a planet.
All in all, it could be a worse assignment. After reading through once more, Joran mused aloud, “The Monarchy seems to be the natural choice to have basic freedoms and rights for the people…” he frowned, thinking for a second, then continued, “However, given that the General would stage a coup, backing the Monarchy could still lead to the General taking power coupled with the potential loss of many lives…”
Tapping a finger to his chin, Joran looked at Gaius and asked, “Master…is there any way that the General would accede to the Monarchy being in power if some of his requests are met at the same time? For instance, if the work force is increased and the planet made wealthy, but the people still retain their rights and freedoms?”
