Bio: Darth Valek's real name is unknown. He was born on Corellia. His mother raised him by herself and his father died before he was born. Valek's father was killed by a bounty hunter for owing a hutt too much money. Little did his father know that Valek's mother was an ex-dark jedi who had decided to settle down and raise a family. As Valek grew up, his mother had told him never to trust Jedi's, and tought him in the ways of the Dark Side. At the age of 15, he and his mother moved from Corellia after the Corellian Treaty was signed. On their new home on Tatooine, Valek continued his training and worked for the local Hutt as a bet-taker and bodyguard and eventually became a good friend of the hutt.
On his 20th birthday his mother was poisoned by an angry gambler who lost on a pod-race and Valek had beaten to get the money from him. Enraged by this cowardly act, Valek sought out the man and slaughtered him and his whole family. He gathered his belongings and boarded a transport to Korriban where he could be amonst the great sith lords and continue his dark training.
