It was a somewhat interesting day in the Jedi Temple, mainly because a certain Jedi Knight hadn't been needed in her usual post. Silene Stellata had been to the Healer's Circle earlier, to check in on patients and care for any new arrivals, but it was quiet. So quiet that she had been told to take a day for training, to find something to work on outside of the realm of Medical Science.
So she wandered. She could have gone to the Gardens, meditated, or down to the Saber training Halls, but neither of those struck a tone with her... no, she wanted to find something more...productive. In a long-term sense, at least. Somehow, in her wanderings, she found herself dawdling down the hallways managed by the Council of First Knowledge. It was here, not too long ago Silene reflected. that she had been a pupil herself. Studying the basics of Shii-Cho, that most important of Lightsaber styles. Other education had included basics in the Force, Galactic Sociology and Philosophy lessons, instructed by the Oldest, wisest masters.
As she moved through the corridors, she could hear snippets of sound. The Younglings, clamoring to answer a question posited by their masters. The Masters, explaining something in their soft tones. She wouldn't hear the sounds of Training sabers, as Martial practices were held in another area of the Temple's grounds, but she could feel the youthful passion of the students as they explored the Galaxy under the close supervision of the Masters, through the lessons provided.
It was a good reminder, of the wonder that childhood held for all races, of the feeling of discovery. The pride in one's chest for a correct answer, the disappointment in oneself for an incorrect one. Smiling softly, she stopped, peeking into one of the Open doors and observing a lesson in History, hearing the Master's tones as he discussed the Formation of the Galactic Senate.
Education was important, this much Silene knew in her heart. Sometimes, however, the Students needed more than to just write down notes and listen. Sometimes, they'd want to get into the nitty-gritty of it all and feel the way the Galaxy worked for themselves. Not that most of them could handle it, not in it's purist form. Still though, there were ways that curiosity could be satisfied. Pulling a Datapad from her pocket, Silene typed out a Message, sending it through to the instructors, asking permission for a plan that she was forming.
A response came quickly, and moving down the hall, she found an Open room, it's shades pulled to dull the light coming from outside, the overhead lights dimmed above. Opening the shades, she relished in the Sun's warmth for a moment, then moved to the front of the room, sitting on a small pillow on the floor and closing her eyes, taking a deep breath and feeling the willful flow of the Force as it swirled through the air itself, pulling and tugging on her soul.
Inside of several classrooms, the who were wrapping up their classes looked to their students. There were some who would be interest, certainly, and others would simply go to the library or the Cafeteria for dinner. Informing the Students of the Impromptu lesson, the Younglings were then dismissed to go on about their evenings, until the later classes were scheduled to begin. Most of the Masters remembered Silene, and were interested to see what she would impart upon the Younglings. They knew that she was a Gentle woman, a peace-loving flower in the gravel that made up the Galaxy, who also knew them right back. She would probably learn something wonderful from those children who decided to see what she had to offer, for knowledge isn't a one-way-street, but rather an expressway of mutual exploration in the ideas of everyone present.

Gharassk had been wandering the hall's of the temple looking for any-one that could teach him something new for the day. That is how he had been learning as of late, just learning from any and all and also teaching some as well. But he had gone for a week or two now without learning much, so he put forth the effort to find someone to teach him... any thing really, he did not care for a new permanent master not after the first who was now gone, so he just wanted to find something to keep his mind growing for the time. But for several hours now he had not seen any-one that suited him nor could teach him any thing at the time. Gharassk let out a soft sigh to himself. Well none yet. He continued wandering the halls untell he saw one of the class rooms that seemed to have just finished a class but one other Jedi seemed to still be waiting on, some-one or some-thing. Gharassk thought he would go in and see what it was who knows maybe he'll learn somthing. He steped up to the Jedi who was at least a Knight to his thoughts. Hello Sister, are you waiting on some-one?

Jarael Orlyck, aged thirteen Youngling who had still not been chosen to be taken on as a Padawan, was sitting down on a large cushion in one of the many classrooms within the Jedi Temple. He sat with his legs crossed and his eyes shut. He was in a lesson on meditation and connecting with the Force. He shut off his mind from his surroundings and allowed the Force to flow through him. He felt lighter when he did this. He was surrounded by other Younglings, all doing the same thing.
One of the Temple's Jedi Masters walked up and down through the aisles the cushions made and was talking to the Younglings.
"Feel the Force flowing through you. Allow it to guide you, instruct you."
Jarael barely heard the Master's words, as he was concentrating on his task. Before he knew it, Jarael was being dismissed from the lesson. The Master, however, held the class back a moment to tell them about an extra lesson being offered after this one. He said it wasn't necessary, but that it would be a good learning experience for anyone interested.
Jarael walked out of the classroom and made his way to the one where the extra lesson was being offered. He peeked into the room to Jedi Knight Silence Stellata and another Youngling with her. Jarael walked in and stood beside the Jedi closer to his age and bowed.
"Greetings, Master Stellata. I am here for the extra lesson."

Silene had timed it right, people were starting to file into the room. The First to arrive, a Jedi Knight, had approached the pale-skinned woman, who's eyes opened slowly as she smiled. Anyone and everyone who'd be interested she replied as another person filed into the room. This time, it was a Youngling, mind fresh and ripe for knowledge.
As he greeted her, the Zelosian woman bowed her head ever so slightly in aknowledgment of his words, the lifted a hand, gesturing at the cushions that had been spread around the room. Slowly, a few more people joined. Younglings, Padawans and even a few more Knights. After about Ten people had joined, Silene decided that it was time to begin. Smiling as she stood, she bowed to the Joiners, one at a time. In both acknowledging their presence and offering her respect, she hoped to set the tone for the gathering.
Greetings, Brothers and Sisters, Students and Masters alike. I thank you for coming here today, especially with such an impromptu idea such as this. she began, her eyes scanning the room as she spoke, addressing them each in turn. I do not mean for this to be a formal lesson. There was no set idea that I wished to bring to this, but rather a chance for the young and old to learn from one another. Those knights who have deigned to join us have done so out of the realization that one's education is never completed, a journey that so many of you Younglings and Padawans are just starting on now.
Moving down the aisles, she gestured about, indicating to some of the Jedi in turn as she continued to speak. Some Jedi are drawn to the Physical defense of the Galaxy, the arts of the saber, others to the Call and pull of the Force itself. I, personally, am a Healer, others among us are Philosophers or Masters of the Blade. I feel that we should use this time to learn from one another, to ask questions freely and without fear of ridicule as might be experienced in a classroom.
Smiling broadly, she bowed again, moving to one of the Cushions, the one where Gharassk had seated himself. Sitting next to him, on her knees, her head tilted a little. Like you, What's your name...what are your dreams?

Gharassk bowed his head in reply to the other Jedi that welcomed him into the class room. He found a spot in the back of the room and removed his light saber, then sat down cross legged setting his saber to his right.
Gharassk was pleasantly surprised. Gharassk had been trying to be doing both teaching and learning without being taken by another master, all to few of the Jedi were willing to teach like this however, but this Silene seemed to be doing just that today, as if copying from Gharassk's mind.
Gharassk listened as Silene was speaking perhaps Gharassk could learn some of the healing arts that he had been wanting. Gharassk had been wanting to learn a little about all ways of the force: healing, science, combat, all of it. He then looked around the room around him he saw what looked like all variates of Jedi, his learning experience is looking like it will go good.
Gharassk waited for Silene to finish speaking to the man and waited for his responce. After the two where done Gharassk raised his hand to speak "Silene, if i might ask will there be teaching in the arts of Healing?" Gharassk did not want to speak out of plase so he hoped that the two had finished it had seemed they where, however that could have been a pause, the second thing that came to mind was that he had just addresed her a 'Silene', not 'Master' and had now hoped he did not offend the Jedi.

Another day off for Mal Konti. The last week had been very grueling for him. Further studies and tests of new healing agents also healing and check ups seemed to flood in every day. After a Head healer found out that he was still on duty and had not rested more than seven hours in the week he ordered him to sleep and take the next two days off. He did indeed sleep for about fourteen hours straight. His body was a bit stiff but he did not feel like working out with his saber. Instead he thought about a stroll around the temple would be best.
Deeply humming a old hutt song that was about a hutt-ling that did not want to hatch Mal made his way through the class areas of the temple. This part of the temple always seemed to radiate hope and light. The ebbing tide of the force made Mal sing with in the force. Joy was a emotion that many though should only be felt when the event of a birth or the winning of a battle or something other. Yet Mal could not help himself this day the force was just brimming with the emotion of Joy.
Slowly he slithered down the hallways getting to a point where a group of Jedi padawans and younglings had just entered. From there he thought he heard a familiar voice. Stretching out in the force he searched for the source of the voice. Finding a room filled with all sorts of Jedi he let his force presence flow through the group till he found the single Jedi. This Jedi was one that was some what familiar to him being that she too was in the healers order.
Stepping to the doors Mal opened them and slithered in and took a spot near the back by the windows. He made a mental note of who all were here. Jedi young and old of all station and class this one did indeed have a calming flow in the force as he had felt all those many years ago. Sitting quietly and listening he let the sun shining through the window to warm his body. The warmth was a comforting feeling that Mal liked and this one here was like this sun light. Silene was a good healer she had that calming felling in the force and she had a eye to most details. He had thought that if an expedition of the Healers Order was going to have a mission then he would search out this one to back him up. Smiling he thought of the times in the future events.

[OOC: I'm going to post again, and then it's back to the original posting order. That said, Tarbukk hasn't been on in quite some time, so Silene is officially open for a Padawan]
When asked if she would offer any instruction into her own art, Silene simply laughed, motioning over towards the Hutt Jedi that had joined them. Master Konti and myself are both associated with the Circle of Healers, and I'm sure we'd both be glad to offer some instruction in the arts. Just realize that It's a hard skill, and therefore any lessons today would probably end up being rudimentary at best she told Gharassk with her wide smile.
Turning to face the others and extending her hands before her, she clapped once and nodded. With that out of the way, let's begin, yes? We only have a limited time today, but if you find yourself drawn to a topic, don't be afraid to ask for more time to study it at a later date! she announced, turning to find her cushion and seating herself gingerly. Reaching deeply into the pockets of her robes, she removed a few small, sugar-free candies from the folds of fabric and tossed one to Mal before popping another into her mouth.

Gharassk shook his head in agreement with Silene.
Gharassk was just sitting on the Flore with his legs still crossed. He wasn't used to being able to formally learn from someone not sense his master turned.
His mind started to wander to his master and his dream however he had learned how to dismiss those thoughts.
He would not mind if someone called him out for those thoughts as they hit in-fact he knew he could not ever hid his thoughts if they where there plus being in a room full of Jedi of all ranks, he would be surprised if no one felt his small trimmer.
((OOC---Sorry for it being short but I'm tired and i don't think there's much for Gharassk to do yet.))

(I hope this post is okay, been awhile since I've posted as this little guy)
The young wolf’s ears had perked up when he heard that there would be an impromptu lesson. He hadn’t planned on doing anything after he was done with class, and the fact that his instructor hadn’t mentioned what the lesson was going to be further intrigued him.
When his class finally ended Raveal made his way towards the room where his teacher said the lesson would be held. The scratching noise the young pup’s feet made when he walked was quite audible in the long hallway, his claws scraping against the floor. The few other younglings that had decided to go to the lesson as well paid it no mind however. Most of them were used to the annoying sound his claws sometimes made when he was walking on a hard floor.
Raveal wore a loose tunic like he always did, with loose fitting pants as well. His fur was groomed nicely, his collar of light brown fur looked especially nice he thought.
As he and the other younglings that had come with him arrived around the same time as everyone else. Raveal thought it strange that Jedi Knights and Masters were also walking into the room, were they going to help teach the lesson, or were they actually going to be learning alongside him and the other younglings?
“The lesson must be really interesting, if masters are coming to learn as well.” Raveal said, turning to the younglings from his class. A few of them nodded, and they entered the room.
Raveal quietly sat on a cushion as the Jedi that sat at the front of the room began to speak. It seemed like what she planned was for everyone to try and learn from each other. It seemed like an interesting idea, but Raveal didn’t think he had anything to contribute, being as young as he was.
Well maybe I can teach some of the other younglings? Most of them don’t know much about healing, and maybe I can teach them a little bit about some of the languages I am learning. Raveal thought, looking at some of the other younglings in the room.
His interest in the idea was lost almost instantly when one of the other Jedi, an older Padawan perhaps, asked the Jedi t the front of the room if they would be learning about the healing arts. His black ears perked up again. Maybe he would ask the knight Silene if she had any tips for a youngling that wanted to become a healer for the order.
When Silene told everyone it was time to begin Raveal got up from his cushion and made his way over to her. He felt a little nervous, he usually didn’t ask older Jedi questions unless they were his instructor. He managed to force himself over near her cushion, “Um… you said you were a healer right? I.. was..um… wondering if you had any advice for a youngling that wanted to be a healer when they became a Knight.” Raveal’s voice was quiet, any betrayed his nervousness quite obviously.

Start now.
Those two words jumped from his hutt lips before he knew that he said them. Catching the candy in the air with the force and unwrapping it he let it float to his huge maw of a mouth and snapped it shut. A quiet yum came from him before he spoke up.
Looking over to the one who asked..You must start now. Now that you know where your time and energies will go because if you divide your attention to all areas of training then you limit yourself or.....at the very least dmake your progression slower. Because a blade master can not be a Healer. An a Healer can not be come a weapons master. The two areas are to great appart for the traing lessons. I have some blade skills but my greater skill is my force ability second to my healing hands.
Great focus and over-whelming patents is needed if you are going to master the healing arts. Also a need to keep balance with in the force to foster the living areas of it as well. So if death and battle is on your mind then you are crippled and will not be of any help to those who are hurt and dying at your feet. If a dark one is laying at your feet and you feel nothing ........ then ....... leave the thinking of being a healer to some one else and join those Blades.
Mal waved his chubble arm toward the skyline. Mal shifted his girth. Looking over the group before him in a non-applogetic way. That was his opinion about being a healer you can't heal and kill in the same breath unless... that some one was trying to stop you from doing his duty. Blinking his huge hutt eyes he stared back at Silene.

Gharassk listened to the Hutt Jedi's words but he had already learned so much from both sides of the coin as it where. However the Hutt did have a point in a sense but he had heard of those who fought and healed it was rare but it could be done and he was still young.
Then he waited he would finish what he had learned his goal was not to learns all fast for that was not how the force worked it took time and Gharassk had the time to use.
Gharassk spoke before the lesson resumed, I respect your view healer...but i have learned so much on both 'Healing', and 'Battle'. It can be done i do not care for the time it will take for learning any thing takes time. His word wore respectful and not demanding he then turned his attention to the speaker.

Chuckling a little, Silene opened her eyes as Mal gave his opinion on the life of the Healer, waiting for him to finish before speaking herself. Her eyes sparkled, liquid jade filled with curiosity and some sense of obscene joy, too much to keep contained, it seemed. And of course, while Master Mal is correct, there are other aspects. Technically, a Healer is a member of the Consulars, and as such tend to be better with the Force's more....subtle actions, which healing most definitely is. she began, shifting in her sitting position to reach into her pocket. Withdrawing another handful of candies, she spread them out before her, indicating that all gathered should help themselves.
A Youngling and a Padawan are torn between two worlds, two times that struggle within their minds. Firstly, comes their current instruction. Mastering the First of their Saber Forms, picking up the Basics and the power of Meditation. Then, there's the Future. What they want to be, who they want to grow up to be. While you might wish to study solely within the arts of the Healer, you need to continue to reinforce your basic skills. she said, trying to explain it as best as she could, hair shimmering around her face as she moved, ever filled with expression. Silene was the type to talk with her entire body, and on a subject such as this? It showed immediately.
Personally? I'm wretched with a Lightsaber, but as a Student, and a Padawan, I was encouraged to continue, and as such, I passed my Trials. I still can't really stand fighting however she told them, laughing a little and indicating to Mal's form. In the end, however, the Saber styles taught me patience and how to keep a cool head in an emergency. More than anything else, I would find those useful as a healer. You could be a Prodigy in the Force's abilities, but without the ability to keep cool in stressful times, that skill could become useless. she finally said.
I like how you think however.

It was a Hutt that answered Raveal’s question, not Silene, who he had asked. Raveal turned his head to look at him, he hadn’t asked the older Jedi for his advice but he wouldn’t mind hearing it.
Raveal still felt a little nervous, but the others didn’t seem to mind his presence. The Hutt seemed to even enjoy giving the young pup advice, at least as far as he could tell. His facial expressions were harder to decipher then that of the humans in his youngling class.
What the older Jedi told him seemed to be common sense; if he divided his studies then he would progress more slowly in them. He should focus more on manipulating the force in various ways, and not so much his blade work. He tried to do that, but it seemed that some areas of the Force were hard for him to understand.
The Jedi also talked about how he had to be compassionate, that he couldn’t focus on battle and death if he wanted to be a healer. What if I was sent to a battle though…? Raveal thought, wouldn’t he have to focus on fighting as well so that he didn’t die, then no one would be one less person to heal the wounded. He didn’t voice his thoughts though; he didn’t want to appear stupid by asking a question.
It seemed that the other young Jedi was of a different breed, because he denied the older Jedi’s words. He said that he didn’t feel hindered focusing on battle and healing, and that he didn’t care how long it would take to learn. Raveal looked at the younger Jedi, his surprise written all over his face. The Padawan had been respectful in his denial of the older Master’s words, but Raveal wasn’t used to hearing younger Jedi do such things.
His attention left the Padawan when Silen began speaking, the one who he had directed his question at in the first place.
She said that the Hutt Jedi Master was correct, his name was Mal it seemed, to be a Healer one would have to focus more on using the Force then using a saber. However she then went on to say that a youngling or a Padawan should first master their basic skills before they begin to specialize. Raveal nodded, that seemed to make sense too.
Raveal didn’t take on of the candies that Silene offered, he was too interested in what she had to say.
Silene said that learning how to properly use the lightsaber forms had helped her learn to be calm and cool in emergencies, something she thought was crucial to being a healer.
When she was finished, Raveal nodded again. He wasn’t nervous anymore, the other Jedi in the conversation didn’t seem to be bothered by his presence at all, and all three had participated in answering his question. If he could have smiled, he would of. Unfortunately though his muzzle didn’t allow him to do that, so he just perked up his ears and hoped that they would understand his body language.
“Thank you for answering my question.” Raveal said, trying to sound respectful. He talked to all of the Jedi that had discussed the question, even the Padawan. “I wish I could offer some knowledge in return, but I doubt I know anything that you don’t already know.” Raveal felt bad that he was letting them pass information on to him, when he had none to give to them. This wasn’t one of his classes. They were supposed to learn from one another here.

((I hope it is still ok if I jump in, I have just been accepted and really, really want to start playing my padawan ^^. EDIT: If it's not okay, I can take it back out, that's not a problem ^^.))
Naiya had spent the last days focussing on her meditation in order to learn how to see into the future. Visions of the future were harder than she would have imagined, and the more details she discovered in the short flashes that came to her mind, the lesser sense the bigger picture made.
Frustrated, she realized that she again hadn't eaten all day. If Raziel caught her, he'd think she was losing her mind over this, and maybe he was right. She had been a bit too obsessed lately. As for today, it was time to stop trying and go get to the dining hall, finding something to eat.
She was a very skinny fifteen-year-old Padawan, her black hair braided back alongside her head in multiple braids, most of which she had bound up to a high ponytail, with just one braid flowing over her shoulder in a padawan fashion. Her dark, caramel skin was a bit paler than it had been in the days she spent outside mostly with her master, since she had been indoors for almost half a year, only seldom going out in the gardens. Big, curious, almond-shaped dark eyes blinked a bit nervously, since they had been closed for most of the day and were only slowly readapting to the light in the meditation room, tired, despite the fact they had not done anything all day.
On her way back through the hallways of the Council of First Knowledge, where she had been spending her days in the same, empty classroom for the last few days, she suddenly saw a strange crowd in front of one of the classrooms. Masters, Knights, and even Younglings, moving into one and the same room. Especially the Masters and Knights were of the most different schools of thought possible. The padawan could not tame her curiosity, and joined them, quietly asking one of the younglings what the gathering was about. This lesson sounded strange to her, but also very interesting. Her late Master, Jedi Guardian Val Jaquedo, had always told her that finding your own strengths is more important than copying the knowledge others have. And to find your own strengths, you needed to keep an open mind. You needed to listen to others, look at all there was, at the bigger picture.
That was the thing she had been missing lately. The bigger picture. Naiya decided in a blink of an eye, that her dinner could wait some more time. She really wanted to listen to this.
She sat down amongst the younglings, only slightly taller than the elder ones amongst them, in a crosslegged posture she had maintained most of the last few days and that came to her naturally. One of her elbows rested on her thigh, offering her tired head the support of her hand while she listened. She, too, laid her lightsaber next to her, and concentrated on the flows of the force between those many, different Jedi.
Since she had come here to listen, not to blabber, she staid silent for the first few questions and answers, although the discussion of healing and swordplay somehow was strange when one looked to her own training, and her own experience.
Before the discussion could be put aside completely though, she dared speak up, although there had been two far more experienced Jedi who had expressed different opinions than her own.
"I am sorry, but my late Master always told me that I should not disregard my healing although he especially trained me in the ways of the lightsaber. He said that I had a talent for both, and that I should not neglect any of them on behalf of the other one. I don't want to sound disrespectful, but I can't imagine that he was so wrong... Can't I be a good guardian or sentinel, and a strong healer, too? Being a good healer could prove good in the field of action, after all, could it not?"
She bit her lower lip, and wondered if she might have done better not to speak up after all. These were her superiors in mind, body, and experience, and her disrespect could cause the younglings to get a wrong impression, too. With slightly lifted brows, but also a bit appologetically, Naiya looked over the other members of this class.

Mal watched and listened to the action and the new comments. Mal had to say some thing for the young often had a view to the world that the older ones often missed or looked over.
Young wisdom may be shallow and unfocused but often it cuts to the very heart of the matters. Each being is different in how they learn. If you take the time and learn from the masters and the others around you, your learning will be increased. Yet.... with out focus and direction of goals then you hinder yourself. Which leads to fearing what you do not know, and we knoew where dear leads too.
Sighing to himself Mal raises again and speaks....I have always wanted to be able to go to the front lines and help out maybe in time but as for the now I have to wait here and heal those who return. While I wait I will be bettering my saber skills. I know I will not be a blade master or even profiecnt with a blade that's not over three inches long. But I will do what I can and know what are my limits. As a hutt I can not lend myself to action that are like those of my race for I fear to of becoming like them. It hinders my growth and use in the saber. Find the path that is lit by the lightside of the force and forever follow it. I'm.....sorry.
The deeper Mal spoke about himself he shook more and more. Until his hand were shaking too much even his tail would not stop flicking from side to side as he left the room for a breather and to find his center.
-Mal Kontie exists for a bit-

Gharassk's mind stopped to locate he voice who spoke those words. A young girl not much shorter then he was over just behind him. Gharassk was surprised that someone so young would voice there opinion like she just did, Sure Gharassk did all the time but he was on his own now, if he didn't who would?
Just then the Hutt spoke twice, saying, Young wisdom may be shallow and unfocused but often it cuts to the very heart of the matters. Each being is different in how they learn. If you take the time and learn from the masters and the others around you, your learning will be increased. Yet.... with out focus and direction of goals then you hinder yourself. What was that about the Hutt was about to say something about himself, his own past.
Gharassk Stood then walked to the younger girl that spoke the earlier words that seem to match his own thoughts, Then sat back down by her setting his saber beside him he kept himself about 2 feet away from her to allow for personal space. He did not want to scare her but ask what would prompt her into such a speech.
Gharassk would wait before asking his question.
