Global Mountain Ranges
The terrain of Karaxus V is no winter wonderland let me tell you. The overall surface, but especially the western hemisphere, is scarred by countless towering wind blasted mountains. So many in fact that it's difficult to tell where one mountain range begins and ends. This is a result of the billions of years of grinding and colliding from the over 40 tectonic plates. However over time the layers of mantle began to cool due to the cooling of the core which as a result ceased the forming of any more mountains. Now days the deep rumbling of earthquakes and volcanoes is replaced by wailing blizzards cutting through valleys and over peaks tearing at rock and being alike.
Fjords, Bays, and Seas
In the eastern hemisphere, where mountains are not as prevalent, many small seas lap at the feet of mountains and valleys creating many fjords and bays. All non-frozen bodies of water are situated over natural deposits of frayon; a natural liquid element with extraordinary freeze resistant properties. It's nontoxic and thus does not foul the water it mixes with.

Major cities: Shiloh - Originally just a humble Czerka mining colony Shiloh now has a static population of around 20,000, but there is a never ending ebb and flow population of transport ships and crew.
From the surface of Karaxus only a top portion of Nelson Spaceport is visible. The rest of the city including it's medcenter, cantinas, apartments, mining facility, refinery, and many types of generators are underground to escape the deadly surface conditions.
