Name: Un-Dali-Mal (Goes by: Dali)
Race: Cerean
Age: 12
Height:5’3”
Weight: 115 lbs
Appearance: He has quite a light, but very nimble body. He has a typical Cerean skull, with a small birthmark above his right ear that resembles the shape of a crescent moon. At this age he has no facial hair and like most Cerean’s has no hair covering his head except for a small bundle of brown hair coming out from the bottom tip of his moon shaped birthmark, which carefully tapers down the right side of his head behind his ear. He has light grey irises which almost appear to be white. He wears traditional Jedi garments, a pair of brown boots, tan robes, with a brown leather belt.
Personality:Un-Dali-Mal has a very calm and quiet demeanor about him. He is quite dedicated towards keeping a level and calm head, which puts him ahead of many younglings his age. At this age he is far more interested in reading books on philosophy and aspects of the force than he is regarding his own development in lightsaber forms. Sometimes it can seem to be very hard to get a read on him due to the fact that he keeps his emotions in check at almost all times rarely ever showing an expression any which way.
Dali is quite analytical when it comes to observing an environment he is in and people around him. He tends to trust his thoughts regarding most manners and this is about as far as his ego has developed at this age. Dali is quite confident in his decision making abilities and his ability to get a read on other people going as far as to make decisions about the teachings of certain masters while growing up in the academy. Dali is very strong willed and very much considers himself to be intellectually superior to other younglings in his class.

Bio: Dali was born in Tecave the capital city of Cerea. Dali’s father was well-respected Jedi Knight in the Jedi order assigned primarily as a diplomat and negotiator assigned to Cerea as an ambassador and advocate for the council. His mother was an avid alchemist and shaman as well as one of the planets main advocates for maintaining an isolationist view regarding Cerean involvement in the republic.
Dali's father had always sensed a strong connection to the force from his son, around the age of three his father decided to have Dali sent to Coruscant for evaluation from the Jedi Council. Dali was sent to Coruscant after being escorted to one of the outer citadels of the city by one of his father’s trusted friends in the Jedi order, a fellow Cerean Jedi Knight by the name of Skeel-Del-Tu. The two of them took a large freighter carrying small shop keepers and traders from Coruscant to and from Cerea. Upon arriving to Coruscant Dali was put forth before the Jedi Council and was deemed to have a strong connection to the force, more than likely inherited from his father and his mother. It was at this time that Dali was taken into the order as a Youngling.
Dali was placed into a clan with nine other younglings around the same age as him. The first year or so he and his fellow younglings were familiarized with the layout of the Temple on Coruscant, being taken to and from meals by their instructor and as they began developing better reading and speaking skills began studying aspects of the force, Jedi code, and very basic galactic history. His second year in the academy he and his fellow clan members began taking more rigorous classes and exercises. In the morning they would wake up and meditate, reciting the Jedi code and familiarizing themselves with it, following that they would be escorted to the mess hall for breakfast.
Upon finishing breakfast they were instructed in very basic aspects of the force. Dali seemed to have much trouble controlling physical objects when it came to more Telekinetic aspects of the force; however he seemed to catch on quickly to sensing and feeling the emotions of others around him, as well as quickly developing his telepathic abilities in the force. In the afternoon he and the rest of his clan were taken to basic gym and athletics classes to learn how to hone their bodies’ strength and agility. This was something that Dali despised, at a young age he was far more interested in studying history, philosophy, and the ways of the force. Maybe it was because that is what he distinguished himself doing, or maybe because it was what he excelled at. These classes and exercises repeated themselves to the point where everything became engrained into Dali’s mind throughout his childhood.
At age eight, Dali hadn't really formed a close bond with any of the other members of his clan although he did form somewhat of a rivalry with a human in his clan by the name of Albrin Strongwill. Albrin was a poor student, but an excellent swordsman and was almost the complete reverse of Dali. While Dali was quiet and calm, Albrin was confident and headstrong and very loud. The two of them never admitted it, but they had a respect for each other and that respect came from acknowledging that they would have very different roles in the order when they grow up and matured, and that they were both shining stars in the order in their own ways. Dali spent most of his time in the library, reading about the Jedi code, about philosophies and how to negotiate in a diplomatic setting and or diffuse dangerous situations peacefully. Dali loved to study the Master Sage's and had dreams of someday becoming a Sage himself. When Dali wasn't in the library he spent a majority of his time meditating, and reciting the Jedi Code in his head over and over again, practically ingraining the philosophies of the code in his head.
Around Age ten Dali and his other clan members began competing more and more for recognition from knights and masters in the order, as all of them knew that the time was growing close, they had two more years to prove themselves and gain favor with members of the order, or otherwise be sent to one of the auxiliary corps of the order. Dali was a very passive swordsman in every respect, he lacked aggression and tended to passively defend himself when sparring with other initiates at this age, refraining from attacking for the most part, many of his clan members made fun of him for it, although Dali was very adept at defense he merely lacked confidence and will to lash out against people he considered his friends. Where Dali lacked in aggression with his sword he more than made up for in his grades, he was at the top of his class in history scores, philosophy scores, and greatly excelled in his ability to sense what was going on around him, as well as his ability to read and discern the thoughts of others, even those in his class.
Now Dali has just turned Twelve, he and his fellow clan members have learned almost everything they can in the academy and in some ways comes the time they all have looked forward to and dreaded. It was time for them to merely wait around the academy and wait for a master to choose them. Time and time again Dali saw other younglings being taken due to their offensive abilities wielding a saber, and due to their confidence and appeal to some of the older masters in the order.
RP Sample:Dali found himself yet again sitting down in the all too familiar sparring dojo with the rest of his clan members and their clan mentor. The room itself had blue steel walls, lacking any windows whatsoever to peer into the outside world. In the middle of the room was a large square padded mat, where the younglings would spar off with each other when instructed to do so. All the younglings were spread out evenly covering all four edges of the white matt. They were awaiting the arrival of their instructor patiently calming themselves and preparing for the sparring sessions. Dali looked towards his left; he was sitting in an Indian style stance eyeing his rival a human youngling by the name of Albrin Strongwill.
“Stand at attention…”, said the all too familiar voice of Lightsaber Instructor Vin Drullin; one of the most respected Jedi Guardians in the academy.
Dali stood straight up along with the other nine younglings in the dojo, their training sabers were carefully dangling from their brown leather belts. All of them wearing traditional tan robes, with brown boots and brown belts. Dali could instantly sense the change of energy in the room, as he could feel anxiousness, restlessness, and even excitement from some of the other younglings, as all of them knew that this was a very important class.
“We have a few Masters and Knights…. Whom would like to sit in and observe you all today.”, Vin Drullin said as Six robed figures walked into the room, their hoods were up and they all quietly stood near the entrance, choosing not to introduce themselves, three split to the left of the door and leaned against the wall, and three split to the right of the door practically mirroring the others. Dali looked at the masters, he was attempting to get a read on them, but it was no use they were all far too superior in their abilities to hide and cover any sort of emotion or thoughts they might be having.
“The first matchup today will be…. Un-Dali Mal and Albrin Strongwill….”, Vin Drullin said with a smile as he stood in the center of the padded mat area.
Dali’s heart nearly sunk to the bottom of his chest as this was mentioned, Albrin was the best swordsman in the class and Dali had a reputation and history of losing most of his matches, not because his form wasn’t refined, but because he lacked aggression and the will to strike out against his friends. Dali let out a small sigh as he and Albrin stood on opposite sides of Vin, both of them with their hands to their sides awaiting instruction to begin.
Master Vin Drullin looked at both of them before slowly walking backwards and stepping off of the Mat. “Draw sabers…”, he said in a calm voice before Albrin reached his right hand down to his belt drawing his training saber, flicking the red ignition button on the side, as a blue blade thrust outward from the hilt, letting out a light buzzing sound into the air, as Albrin assumed a guard position, placing the saber at a vertical upward and downward angle, taking one half step back with his right foot, and allowing the saber to rest in a centralized position in front of his body, holding on firmly with both hands.
Dali did the same, moving his left hand downward to the hitch where his lightsaber was located, grasping it with his left hand, flicking the ignition switch on his saber, a green blade thrust outwards from the hilt, releasing a similar buzzing sound into the air. Dali mirrored Albrin’s stance in every way, both of them looking like practical mirror images of each other. A small bead of sweat could be seen on the right side of Dali’s forehead, as it slowly began running down the side of his cheek both of them looked at each other with vacant and focused stares, waiting for the word to begin.
“Begin…”, Master Vin said as he crossed his arms staring intently at the two of them.
Dali and Albrin stood completely still, simply eyeing each other waiting for one to make the first move. Dali looked Albrin straight into the eyes, he could feel the excitement racing through Albrin’s mind, and then suddenly he could feel it, Albrin intended to attack first. A split second later Albrin took one step forward towards Dali making a downward diagonal slash directed towards Dali’s left knee. Dali countered immediately by moving his left leg half a step back and dropping his saber downward to meet the blow. Their two sabers collided making a large hissing sound, for about half a second, before Dali swept Albrin’s saber to the side with his own and returned to his typical guard stance.
Albrin continued the attack chaining together a horizontal slash towards Dali’s waist, which was easily defended and swept away, followed by a vertical slash downward towards Dali’s head, Dali lifted his lightsaber upward at a diagonal angle, causing Albrin’s saber to slowly slide down Dali’s. Dali then kicked Albrin in the back of his right knee, causing him to fall to one knee. Albrin thinking quickly performed a sweeping kick, tripping Dali and causing him to fall flat on his back. Next thing he knew Dali saw Albrin leaping into the air and dropping downward with his saber, directing a stab towards Dali’s midsection, Dali attempted to parry the blow, but at the angle and speed Albrin’s saber made contact with Dali’s right Shoulder.
“Aghhh!!”, Dali cried as the training saber singed Dali’s robes slightly, leaving a welt on Dali’s skin. Albrin stepped backwards keeping his guard up, even though he knew the match was technically over, he was just waiting on word from Master Drullin.
“Contact…. The match goes to Albrin…”, he said as he walked over to Dali, extending his hand downward hoisting Dali up. Dali’s clan mentor walked up to him bending over to look at his shoulder. “You will have to go to the medical ward for some treatment…. Other than that you should be fine…”, she said with a smile on her face before taking Dali’s hands and walking him out of the room. Dali managed to glance backwards at the training room, sensing that Albrin was reveling in his victory over Dali, sensing Albrin’s arrogance and head strong nature. Dali simply hung his head as he and his clan tender made their way to the medical ward, the door to the training dojo automatically closing behind them.
