It is not uncommon for Kar to hide who and what he is behind the safe anonymity of his steel gray buy'ce (helmet). He will rarely show his face to aruetti – or, outsiders – though his face is fairly well-known among the Mandalorians with whom he serves. Kar “hides” his face for two major reasons – one, as a rarity among the Mandalorians, his is a face that isn't easily forgotten. Two, because his isn't a face that's easily forgotten, he worries about the possibility of running across someone who recognizes his face from a Wanted holo-poster...
As a Mirialan, Kar's predominant features are the tattoos on his forehead and beneath his eyes. The pattern is a distinct one, signifying his birth into an affluent family and also the successes he enjoyed prior to his Mandalorian life. Since becoming a Mandalorian, he's added other tattoos in the Mirialan tradition, but not on his face - he has a cross-like pattern across his back, spanning the breadth of his chest, and down his arms. As a medic, he's also tattooed his knuckles and the back of his hands, in an interlocking diamond-like pattern.
All of these tattoos, however, remain hidden most of the time, as he doesn't care to "flaunt them." It should also be noted that - on closer inspection - one might find that Kar's torso tattoos strategically cover up small cuts and minor scars. Kar's back, however, tells a somber tale of beatings and abuse, that no amount of ink and patterning can erase. He also has a few piercings - from his days as a slave - in some rather interesting places, but that's not exactly common knowledge.
For being green, Kar is actually a fairly handsome young male. He has thick black hair that he keeps closely trimmed per standard Mando military regulations. To round out his general appearance, Kar is tall, broad-shouldered, and muscular. He tans easily (giving him a freckled appearance underneath his strangely pigmented skin) and projects the image of a man who knows he's goodd-looking...and pointedly ignores it. One of his most startling features is his bright blue eyes, which offset his skin and the dark scar that tears across his nose and under his left eye.
Kar tends to dress simply, often in neutral or darker colors like gray or blue. He favors a hip-length, belted tunic-style shirt when he's out of armor, with practical, loose-fitting pants and sturdy bantha-leather boots.
As far as armor goes, Kar favors the Mandalorian Battle Armor. He's painted his shoulders, thigh, and shin pieces with red stripes, to honor the memory of his biological father – who, though “aruetti” by Mandalorian standards, is still a guiding figure in Kar's memory. The rest of his armor is a solid charcoal gray, to represent the loss of his one romantic interest. He sports a circular blue insignia on his right shoulder to represent reliability (an important virtue, Kar feels, for a medic).
For the most part, Kar keeps a "slim-lined profile." As a medic, he has little need for large weapons - most of which would just slow him down, despite of his size. His medic's pouch is ever present, attached to his utility belt on the right side and strapped across his thigh. He also has a bigger pack, which he'll occasionally keep across his back. Personality: In one word, Kar's personality can mostly be summed up as "cheeky." He has a quick wit and a "way with the ladies"; on closer inspection, however, one may realize that Kar's humor is mostly used as a defense mechanism and his skirt-chasing never leads to anything beyond a bit of flirtatious flattery. The experiences of his past shaped a complex personality, with many layers of hurt and strong determination.
However, Kar tries to not let the past define him and he enthusiastically extends the hand of friendship to his fellow Mandos (and even to aruetti) without passing judgment. He has a keen sense of humor and usually has a witty one-liner for just about anything, but he's learning to temper his wit (sometimes. Ish.) He loves practical jokes and can be rather outrageous when the mood strikes - mostly, however, it's just harmless fun and it's usually just to diffuse edgier moods. Because Kar is naturally Force sensetive (a trait shared by virtually all Mirialans), he can't help but try to keep the emotions of everyone around him in as even a keel as possible. He usually doesn't succeed, but he tries to share his good-humor with others and if he's having a bad day, he'll try to keep it to himself as much as possible. He's reliable, loyal, affable, and dedicated - honor and loyalty mean a lot to him. As a result, Kar is a fairly pleasant individual to be around - but he has a temper that can explode when he's backed into a corner, or when he feels that he's simply had enough of something he considers unfair, dishonorable, or down-right dumb. He has a low tolerance for osik and drama - and for the love of the Force, don't ever tell him how to do his job. That'll earn you a poke in the eye with his sharpest scalpel...
Despite his temper and his Mandalorian practicality, Kar enjoys some of the finer things in life. He enjoys playing sabaac - in fact, he's well-known among his Mandalorian associates as a bit of a card shark. Gambling is Kar's one beloved vice and he's quite notorious for "picking pockets clean." He can often be found in the base cantina (or any cantina, for that matter), playing games of chance and drinking like a fish. In fact, Kar drinks quite a lot. Perhaps, one might say, too much. He never lets it get in the way of his duties - he's never hungover or drunk on the clock - but one will rarely find him completely sober on his "off-time." While he hasn't slipped up yet in his time as a Mandalorian, his penchant for strong drink has the potential for creating a disaster...

Skills:
- Medic: Thanks to his early childhood under his father's tutelage, Kar has always had an excellent grasp of physiology, anatomy, and medicine. He's put those skills to great use, especially since becoming a Mandalorian, and his current field of military specialty is as a combat medic.
- Force Sensetive: Since Kar is Mirialan, he's Force sensetive by virtue of race alone. Sensetivity varies from Mirialan to Mirialan; Kar was blessed with an above-average sensetivity. He has a strong dose of Foce-given empathy, which has served him well as a medic. Iit doesn't take much for him to gauge the emotions of his fellow soldiers and he's very rarely wrong. His empathy also gives him a warmer "feel" than most Mandalorians and he's always been able to get others to confide in him.
- Sarcasm/Sense of Humor: Is definitely a skill! In all seriousness, though, Kar has a dry sense of humor that can either swing one of two ways - it can get him into trouble, or it can get him out of trouble. Learning to discern which situation might lead to which result...is a skill Kar hasn't quite figured out, either. In any event, having a sense of humor (regardless of how dry or sarcastic it might be), helps keep his sanity - and the sanity of those around him. For the most part, at least. If Kar didn't have a rather wicked and sometimes dark sense of humor...well...the battlefield and its medical aftermath would be an ugly place for him, indeed. [OOC: Think M*A*S*H...]
