Appearance: Matthus is a tall and slightly imposing when first looked upon. His height makes many have to look up at him and its easy to see by his broad shoulders and lean frame that he is a fit and active soul. Unlike many of the military, his position allows him great latitudein grooming and he takes full advantage of it. His dark, almost black, hair is usually left loose to fall to his shoulders and the hard planes of his jaw are shadowed with a beard. His eyes are the deep gray of foggy mists, hinting at depth beneath their impenetrable surface. (Character likeness)
Normally, he wears rugged, casual clothing to better blend in with the average person...unless the mission calls for something more formal in scope. He is highly capable of cleaning up nicely when circumstances or mission dictate.
When in uniform, he has a pristine, crisp set of Imperial grays and boots shined to a mirror finish.
When in direct combat operations or during an orbital drop, his armor of choice is THIS.
Personality: He is a very calm, surprisingly laid back individual, given the extreme training he has endured and the nature of his mission. His temper is very slow to anger and it is rare that he raises his voice. He is a man that believes actions speak much louder than words. Generally seen as cool-headed and competent, he is always quick to smile and support others. He has a strong sense of honor, conducting himself very carefully while retaining a direct and forthright manner. He is always willing to help others. In some ways, it almost gives him a split personality because when it comes to the Empire, he is a believer. He rarely attacks a problem head-on, preferring a "think outside the box" approach. He comes at a problem sideways. It's how he thinks. It's how he moves. He'll sidle up and smile, then hit it where it is weak because. He kills and never asks why. To him, anything required by mission is honorable and necessarily justified.
