Mandalorians/ Sith Military/ Sith Order x Republic Military

Okay. So the plan for this thing is to have the special forces land ahead of the main body. They're going to drop in, take control of the control center for the orbital defense system, and do their best to keep it while the navy jumps in and proceeds to wreak havoc on the red bellies. The army will be going for high value areas, which are pretty sparse on the mostly barren world. Taking and holding sources of water will be their main focus, and if the navy manages to fight off the sizable republic fleet overhead the army should die of dehydration pretty quickly.

The republic reinforcement fleet should turn that plan on its belly, though. We'll have the Republic on the run when they arrive, and after that the battle will turn south pretty quick. Army reinforcements will arrive, giving us mando'ade a good fight. No Jedi, just republic military as of right now, but we'd pretty much get our arse kicked if the Sith didn't jump in and save the day. All branches of the Sith military and Order are allowed in to the thread.

Hmm... since Zarene Yin is currently residing with the Mandos, she could be involved either w/ the Mandalorian forces or she could have been sent to coordinate the arrival of Sith forces. This could also be the first major battle to see the deployment of the Sith assault carriers.

I just thought I'd ask, but I've got a mercenary soldier (click the toydarian in the sig). He's got a lot of experience in fighting, but I get that this is a "Regular Army Party". But he could technically fight for either side, I was just wondering if that's possible? I get it if you don't want him there.

Morse: I don't know if this is necessarily a merc job. The mandalorians have more than enough support from the merc and bounty hunter community. The sith? I'm not sure. Talk to Jenno about that much. As for the republic, I don't think they'd really hire someone like a merc to help guard a facility of such high importance. I'm not against you being here, but it needs to make sense.

Alright, keep in mind that there will be multiple threads for this due to the nature and different locations of the battle. I will start each and play the opfor for the rep navy and army, I guess. Since no one is signing up. ;P

Well, my Mando is in, of course. She's been waiting for some real action for quite some time.

Honog (cho) will of course stand and fight for the sith after all this is what he does.

Also with him will be WKD .925 this war driod is getting rusty waiting on his sith master so...why not have these two war machines dealing death together.

Okay. So most of the mandalorian special forces are going to be involved in one thread, and the sith order/mil will be in another. There will be a few mandos attached to the army just so we can have something going on the army side of things. The only exception is Apillis, who will be "with" the mandos in our thread. Lady Vesperia will be leading the Sith forces that will be assisting the Mandalorians. Now, the sith force won't be involved right away... so you sith players need to hold on for a trice before jumping in.

One final thing: I need more republic players. I've NPC'd one of my former characters for the republic's side against the mandos, but I can't exactly fight a war with all of my collected characters. Regardless, here's the team...

Considering the lack of Republic charries, I'd be willing to NPC for them at least (if that's what it comes down to, of course).

Morse, you're good to go for the Mando army thing. You can either join up when the Sith come, or from the beginning. It doesn't matter to me.

Okay, I know its been awhile but I'll be making the thread soon. The only real delay was trying to figure out how to get a thread that I won't be in right away started up. Then I realized, its probably best to have one of the people who -will- start in the thread actually start. So Berserker, Mara, or FZ... care to start that one up?

Since FZ's character is in charge (even though he's only a corporal to berserker and I's lieutenants), shouldn't it be him?

It should, but I'm not against someone else starting it, mainly because I've got three finals over the course of the next two weeks, so I'll be tight on time and low on brain power. I can try and get to it, but don't expect much till the weekenish.
