Name: Char Raige (Pronounced like Rage)
Race: Shistavanen
Age: 26
Height: 6 ft 8 in
Weight: 337 lbs
Appearance: Char Raigr is a beast of a wolfman. He is of massive height, and stands above many others of his species, as well as most other species. Most of those in his bloodline have been tall, so its just genetics that made him such a large member of his species. His canine teeth are longer than average, and always are visible over his bottom lip.
Char has dark fur, with some silver on his chest, back, shoulders, legs, and a little on his face. He is well muscled, though its mostly of a lithe build, used more for speed than strength, though even that is not to be underestimated. His right ear has a small chunk cut out of it where he was hit in a fight. The fur around the top of his head, neck, and shoulder area is longer than the rest of his body, which is already fairly shaggy, giving him a mane of protection from tooth and claw attacks from other lupine species. It stands on end when he is angered, giving him a very sinister, large, and intimidating appearance.
Char doesn't wear too much in terms of clothing most of the time. A simple, usually ripped up black tunic and a belt is about it. He prefers speed and agility over brute strength, and it worked out well enough for him. He normally has a neutral face, almost a smirk, on his face. His eyes are very dark, but on a close inspection, one could see they are a deep shade of maroon, and intelligent. He has a scar over his left eye, which is only noticeable to the silver fur over it. His teeth are dull white, and well taken care of, and his claws are black. When he speaks, it comes out as a deep growling, like a low rumble of a distant waterfall.
After leaving the Jedi, he would regularly wear light or medium armor over the majority his body, the armor being black. It was to provide protection against any swords or blaster bolts that he couldn't escape with his reflexes or lightsabers.
Personality: Char has an unexpected intelligence to him, really only noticeable though his eyes. It is an underestimate that many people made of him. He is quite quick to anger, and has no problems ripping out someone's throat with his claws or teeth. One can tell when something is getting on his nerves, or if hes in a bad mood when you hear a low rumble deep in his chest. He doesn't normally talk unless he needs to, and he doesn't say more than needed.
Char doesn't hate nor like, but accepts, effort of destroying someone, be it physically, mentally, or morally; he isn't a sadist. He will, if they prove useful enough, let someone life, if only for X amount of time or for a specific reason. He will kill people, if need be, as well as torture's them, but would rather have his underlings do it, unless it is to prove a point.
When pushed beyond the limits of his anger, Char uses Force Rage. To him, everything is tinted red and seems to slow down. He throws down any weapon he happens to be using and proceeds to go at it tooth and claw, and doesn't stop until he is the last one alive. He prefers little company due to this this, but he preferred it that way the majority of the time because he isn't one for being social. His tail only moves when hes on the hunt, or when about to attack; but only when he wants someone to know.
Birth place: Uvena Prime
Faction: Sith
Rank: Knight Marauder
Previous Faction: Jedi, Grey Jedi
Previous Rank: Knight
Bio: Childhood (Age: infancy-10)
Char was born, like many of his species, in the Uvena system: Uvena prime to be precise. It wasn't too long after his birth that the Jedi Watchman there discovered him, as well as two other Shistavanen in the area. With parental consent, Char, as well as one of the other children were taken off the planet and brought to coruscant.
Always, Char was a little... different from other children. He always did what he was told to the best of his efforts, but he was one of the quiet ones. Unless he was forced to, he would stay away from social gatherings, even with his own kind. Compared to the other Shistavanen, he was larger, and had much darker fur.
Char proved himself well in the afternoon training sessions, using his superior speed to get in quick, hard hitting strikes, and working hard to hone his body. He also did fairly well during his meditation sessions, and used that time to permanently memorize what was taught to them between the cycles. Because of that, he excelled in knowledge.
One thing that Char had a hard time managing was self-control. He was relatively quick to anger, which was looked down upon, but he never did anything that was too obtuse. By the time he was 10, though, he had enough self control to be able to pass the initiate trials without much effort.
Char began training with lightsabers when he reached the age of 7, along with most other members of those in his clan. He learned teamwork fairly quickly during his first few years with the clan, despite him being more of a loner type. He was fairly skilled at using a lightsaber, but found it better to use it in his off hand, and mainly for defense. When in one of the few battle royals that the teachers put them in, Char would take a training blade from a fallen comrade and use it in his primary hand. The practice of using both hands, mainly switching off with his own saber, helped build the way for learning how to fight with two sabers.
At the age of 9, Char began to use his spare time to study for the upcoming trials. He didn't want to have any problems with passing them, and studied everything he could, even things that were nonessential. When he turned age and became 10, Char was sent through the trials, and successfully past them.
Life as a Padawan
Char didn't need to wait longer than a week before he was assigned to a Jedi guardian: a human named Jon Kanhost who was about out of his prime. He was older, and had graying hair, but fought like no one else Char new. The Jedi Master also wore a red headband, keeping hair out of his eyes. Char, under his tutelage, as well as respect, began to wear one, but on his right arm instead of his head.
Jon was unique when it came to how he taught his padawans. In instilled disciplined through a very long and dragged out lesson in history or science, and it quickly whipped Char into better shape mentally and physically, and he hated this crap. Whenever Char would mess up in a lightsaber move, or didn't answer a question correctly, he would get a very boring lesson on something he didn't care for.. This really shaped up Char, and he became well disciplined, knowledgeable, and fairly decent when it came to lightsaber combat and force skills.
Most of the missions Char and Jon went on were little peacekeeping missions, such as setting disputed that could have escalated if left unchecked. Eventually, Jon saw fit to take Char to Ilum so he would be able to construct his first lightsaber.
Char was at the age of 16 at this time. He had almost reached his full height, and was absolutely massive. He towered over his master, who was an average 5 foot 8 inches. Char was just over 6 foot. He also developed a small habit of letting peeling his lips back, reveling his long, sharp teeth in almost a silent snarl, but that was usually when he was annoyed by something, especially after a shock.
On Ilum, Char entered a trance, and, during the entire time he was in that trance creating his saber, he was plagued by visions which didn't make much sense to him. An effect of them was the brushing of the darkside, which Concerned Jon while he over-watched his padawan make his saber. When he finally awoke, Jon was relieved that Char was the same as ever, though he did become slightly quieter.
Over the next few years, Char attained his full height, and continued to work on his combat abilities. Most of what Jon taught him in terms of the force was to protect him, and work off of his species natural abilities. All he really learned how to do was pick up minute senses by amplifying what he smelled. Simple.
Another way he used the force was to enhance his body to hit harder and move faster. His master often complemented him on his speed, saying he was a 'black and silver blur that any non-force user would have a hard time even seeing.' This was great praise for Char. The final real physical enhancing ability that Jon taught Char was simple protection when hitting something solid. It would create a small barrier of force energy that would shield him from whatever he was about to hit, such as a wall or a species with a hard exoskeleton. Char, after his attack, would often blow out that little barrier in a telekinetic wave, adding to the force of the blow.
At the age of 19, Jon and Char went on a mission to recover a Jedi who's ship went down over Felucia. It was a simple distress signal, so if the recovery failed, then they would need to investigate what happened. The duo quickly figured out what happened after they landed near the crash site.
It turned out, after reading through the logs, that this Jedi was investigating another distress signal, when his ship was attacked with anti-air missiles and brought down. When Jon and Char attempted to get back to their ship, they found pirates trying to break into it. In the ensuing fight, Char got his ear cut, and his left eye slashed.
After his eye was slashed, his anger overflowed in a massive force blast. Years of being shocked by his master, as well as the attack moments before fueled his rage. He stood up as tall as he could, howling in a force scream as his rage continued to build up and bubble over. He frightened everyone; even his master for a split second. In less than 10 seconds, his force raged body, he went to the five nearest pirates and killed them with his fangs and claws, paying no heed to who they were. When the rest scattered to try to escape, Char went to fallow, but was tripped by his master, who knocked him out.
When he woke up, he found himself on his bunk, and couldn't really remember what happened. He remembered being cut, and then... nothing. When he inquired his master, who was in the galley eating, he remained quiet, and wouldn't say what happened other than their mission was a success.
Once back on coruscant, and after Jon met with the counsel, did Char's master tell him what happened. The counsel agreed to overlook this incident, only because of Jon's talking, and Char's past. The two continued to work with each other up to when Char was officially knighted.
Rise and fall (Age 22-23)
That happened when Char turned 22. The trials were relatively easy for him, and, his master very proud of him, Char was officially knighted. For about two days, Char stayed at the temple in order to complete his trials. The trial of flesh was passed during the fight with the pirates when he was wounded. He still felt the tautness of the fresh scar over his eye.
The test of skill was against one of the Jedi Master's of that time. He was one of the most skilled duelist, or so he was made out to be, and Char was inclined to believe. The man was brutal in his fight, and Char was able to only temporarily hold him off due to his longer reach. No matter what the wolfman did, though, he couldn't land a solid hit, nor even a simple graze. After about an hour worth of fighting, the master called it off, saying that Char, if they were at the same level of mastery when it came to combat, would have outlasted, and therefore won the fight. Char passed because he held his own in a fight against a stronger foe without packing down, no matter how hard or long the fight was.
The test of courage was a little bit more different: He was locked in a simulation room in the Temple, where, in near perfect darkness to where even he had problem seeing, was forced to fight against what seemed like an endless amount of droids while masters continuously altered the landscape with the force. Char obtained small cuts and bruises, but ultimately managed to outlast the time, and therefore passed the test.
The last trial, the Trial of Spirit, was the most emotional demanding test for Char. In a small meditation chamber, he was alone, save for Jon who would be there to guide him back should he be lost. Slowly, Char fell deeper and deeper into his meditative state. He read about this test and what some people saw, but what he saw and interacted with was much different.
In his mind's eye, he was in the middle of a massive labyrinth, and scrolled on the stone wall was one word. Escape. To Char, this test seemed to take days and days in the unnerving twilight that he made this out to be. Never was there a way out of this maze, and the deeper he walked into it, the darker his surroundings became: a darkness he couldn't see through, until at least he was in a darkness so thick it hurt to breath.
Out of this darkness came white version of Char with glowing yellow eyes. In slow motion, Char and this apparition would fight, and fight, and fight, until they stabbed one another. After that, everything flashed white, and Char came back, unharmed and breathing softly. Char took this as a unification of his light and darkness unifying inside of him, and he passed that trial. Finished, he was officially knighted.
The first thing he did was make a second lightsaber, as well as modify his first saber. Both, once completed, consisted of a black hilt with a dual phase blue blade. As soon as he was finished building that, he was assigned a padawan: a Twi'lek girl named Luxa'mon, or Lux. She was about the opposite of what Char was, and was quite petite. It was almost comic to see Char and Lux standing side by side.
Their partnership went well enough, and, despite how he was trained, Char didn't use the shock treatment on Lux. He taught her the normal way. She grasps the force well enough, and didn't care much for fighting. Still, she was willing to learn. Char brought the girl to different worlds for missions, helping out where they could.
One such mission landed them on Ord Vaug, mainly to make sure no one was making too much trouble for the small Republic outpost there. There wasn't much trouble at all besides some bandits that they could handle. With that in mind, the two left the planet, heading to Dantooine. From there, after a small rest period, they went to Tatooine. Though it wasn't an official republic planet, there were some problems that the Jedi could have helped out with.
One of those problems was some attack by raiders on different farms. Char offered his help, and, with his padawan, went out to one of the farms to wait for the raiders. They stayed there for about a week without seeing or hearing anything, but there were reports, so the duo remained vigilant and patient.
The attack came just before dawn: the raiders rose in on swoops, and dismounted to steal and pillage what they could. There were about 10 of them, which would have been easily managed. Too bad there was an ex-jedi working with them as their leader, or so Char thought he was. Their fight was quick, and, surprisingly to Char, this gray jedi was winning in their fight. An explosion caught Char by surprise, and when he got to his feet, he saw his padawan on ground, her pale skin blackened as she was caught in the explosion. Anguish washed over his heart, and his anger overflowed as he watched the gray jedi dig his lightsaber through her burned shoulder.
Char couldn't contain himself: he was launched into a force rage yet again, but it was more controlled. The darkside rolled off of him as he sliced through the gray jedi's arm with his saber. Char dropped his own sabers, picked up the man, and ripped out his throat with his fangs. The raiders watched in horror as the massive wolfman brutally killed their leader. Char actually enjoyed the murder, and the corners of his muzzle lifted in a bloody smile.
It was all simple for him too kill whoever was stupid enough to stay: they were all too frightened of the massive beast with glowing red eyes that, with the help of the force for speed, ripped through their ranks. The sad thing, which scared Char the most, was that he actually enjoyed this bloodbath to some degree. When those few were dead, he wiped the blood from his snout and paws on a ripped piece of cloth from a raider, stole a swoop bike, and left. Char considered himself lucky after killing four men and forcing the rest to flee. He was greatly fatigued, and had a feeling that it was because of his Rage. He knew that he would need to be careful with what he was capable of, or else he would be dead in the water after an outburst. He took five minutes to gather his strength, walked to a speeder, then went off to the spaceport.
Free Man's Life. (Age 23-25)
A short time later, Char could be found on Nar Shaddaa at the bottom of a bottle of rum, going through the recent events. The more he thought of them, the more he drank, and the more he lost his mind. People learned to just leave him and take his credits when he paid for his drinks, otherwise they earned. If he would have stayed on Tatooine longer, he would have saw his padawan was still alive. She even witnessed what he did, and how he felt through the force, and eventually made it back to the Jedi and accounted her events at what happened.
By then, it was too late for Char. Rum ruled his life, and he fell in with a bad crowd of pirates. He was damn near black out drunk when he did so, but managed to recall what was going on when he was mostly sobered up. Working with this smalltime group paid well enough, especially for someone who didn't need too much money to get by, but he was constantly half drunk and depressed out of his mind, and more than once contemplated suicide.
He already had a plan too, which was to simply jump off a building, but was stopped on a mission before he was going too. It was a raid on a freighter, and rather than staying back, Char was in the actual raiding party. The moment he picked up the smell of freshly spilled blood, burned hair, and ozone, it was done. Char's senses sharped back up, and he was on the hunt. Leading the pirates throughout the ship, he killed everyone with his bare hands, using a lightsaber to deflect any blaster bolts that were sent flying towards him. He would use the force to either get to them in the blink of an eye, or use it to pull them to his awaiting grasp, where he would bloody himself. Of course, he was out or practice, and did earn some burns. After that, he would regularly wear some sort of armor.
It was all uphill for Char from there. He was a walking wall of terror to anyone they went up against, even a pirate crew who tried to conduct a raid against them and wipe them out. As soon as the airlock was opened, and they first laid eyes on the tower of fur and glowing red eyes, it was over, just because the enemy thought it was. Without moral, the enemy stood no chance.
The Pirate team expanded rapidly, becoming known as the Nine Circles, gained new members almost daily, and began to include bounty hunters and even a few smugglers, which brought in even more profit. Char was one of the more senior members at this part, even if he was only in for about 8 months, but he became one of the lieutenants in charge of conducting raids on ships.
About a year after joining up with these pirates, as well as becoming 24, a rather unusual man got into contact with him. Bringing along two hired thugs as bodyguards, Char met the man, a human male who had rather sinister looking red eyes. Like Char, he was a former Jedi, but was easily considered insane. Through the force, Char could feel a dark energy, just as evil as what he carried in himself, but felt no pure core, upon which Char at least still carried, yet is was so weak that Char doubted he could sense the smallest of life forms.
This man called himself a self proclaimed Sith, and that more of his kind would be coming soon. This brought curiosity to Char, but also completed the though that this man was pure insane. He excused himself from him, but struck when the man attacked first with a small dagger. Using a single lightsaber for defense, Char blocked a strike, destroying the dagger, backhanded the man away. Turning, he ordered his men to dispatch the old man.
After that, Char began to dig for any information he could on the Sith of old. Most of what he got was little mentions of them in old papers, but it was something of a start. After a few months of the skimpy knowledge, though, Char just gave up on it and continued along with what his life was now.
One of the most memorable moments of Char's career was the failed attempt to remove the Nine Circles from the pirates life. It was thought that they would be able to complete what they set out with pure manpower alone, but numbers were no match in the Nine Circle's base of operations. Firepower and knowing the layout of their base on Tatooine fared much better for the Circles, and they beat back and killed the enemy group. The leader of the Nine Circles, however was killed, and before anyone could take over, Char took control, renaming the group to The Wolfpack.
The Wolfpack, under Char, was moved more or less away from pure piracy and towards a Private Military Contractors, a more honest business that paid quite a bit more. Of course, there was still piracy, smuggling, and bounty hunting going on, it just wasn't the prime choice for making money.
A few month's after Char's ascension to power, he heard word of a war on the horizon, and that, to his ears, sounded like it would fair well for The Wolfpack. With a sick and twisted grin, Char began to expand his group of mercenaries around. Just after he turned 25, Char found himself on Mon Calamari getting a payment there, when the next chapter of his story started up.
Open History.
The Sith attack was swift and brutal, and greatly appealed to Char. In fact, he and the Wolfpack aided the invaders in their fight. Char figured them to be Sith by how they felt through the force. After the battle on the floating city he was on was won by the Sith Char assigned someone to be in control of the Wolfpack while he was gone, and went to find the base of operations that the invaders set up.
It was as simple as fallowing a set of footsteps in fresh mud; and, within an hour, Char found his way to the Sith. Char felt their energy, and it fed him, making him feel more alive than ever. After showing that he meant relatively no harm, and that he was proficient with the force, Char was allowed inside. Less than a day later, he was shuttled to Korriban, which was no where in the Republic star charts.
It was almost difficult for Char when he reached the desert planet. He was forced to prove himself over and over again, and he became quite adept at tapping into his rage as he spend more and more time on Korriban. It began to actually corrupt his mind as he stayed there, making him more susceptible to a rage fit. Six months on the planet, and he was almost constantly on edge and ready to murder someone.
When he first showed up on Korriban, Char was just another dropout from the Jedi, and was treated as such. He was almost killed by attacking one of the stronger Sith there, but was spared by swearing an allegiance to said Sith. Char, being one of the largest there, save for height, which he was beat be a single wookie, was quite intimidating. His Sith master's liked this, and showed him how to boost his yells into a powerful attack.
It was, to Char, a long and drawn out process that just wore on Char. The point of it was to amplify their voice with the force. He was taught to collect the necessary force energy in his throat and expel it in a massive howl or yell. It was a timely process, eating up weeks of Char's free time as he worked, meditated, and practiced. Eventually, he became proficient with it.
When his Sith master's deemed it proficient enough, they wanted to test the power that Char could now use. After a brief lightsaber duel, Char built up his anger and release it in a single Force Bellow. This threw his opponent into a wall, where they bashed their head and was knocked unconscious. At the wishes of the Sith Masters present, Char killed his opponent in a particular bloody and brutal action.
A short time later, he was jumped and beaten almost to death by his former opponents friends. After Char was healed, he gathered a few allies, and killed those who beat him. He took a nice hit to the side of the head, earning a concussion, but, to him, it was well worth it.
Many of the Sith eliminated by Char and what allies he had, the Sith masters put Char through his test, which was to fight and kill a Tuk'ata mother with his bare hands and the force. For two days, Char sat alone and meditated, calling out to the Tuk'ata mother, and when she finally arrived, Char knew he was in for a hard fight. The creature was just as large and as smart as he was, but the only up that Char had was the use of the force. For what seemed like an eternity, two massive beasts fought against each other, but Char won, even if he was battered and bloody. Upon his return with the Tuk'ata's head, he was given a dip in bacta to heal his wounds, promoted to Sith, and sent out to where he was needed: he was only with the Sith for six months at this point.
Month seven with the Sith, and Char found himself on Dantooine, helping the troopers there against the Republic. He presence provided a moral boost to the Sith there. He remained here for about 5 months, fighting to hold the planet, which wasn't very fun for him, but quite easy. When he was deemed ready, Char was allowed to roam the galaxy as he saw fit, which was easy with The Wolfpack, who was still going strong. He pulled a few of their best members and took a ship for himself, and left the Wolfpack behind, and now do whatever his Sith Masters ask of him.

A small smile overcame the large wolfman's face as he, with no effort or care, tossed the human out the open ramp of the shuttle he was occupying. More than 1000 feet to the surface would be more than sufficient at killing the Republic soldier who was stupid enough to try to broker peace who what was left of his platoon.
Slaughter the platoon when we land.
Char's voice was deep and menacing, and no one disobeyed his orders once they were given. The shuttle was brought strait down to the ground, landing next to the mangled body of the Republic soldier. Char, when he stepped off of it, stepped over the body and headed for the small building which he called his own. Once there, he got into contact with his superiors, and relayed to his superiors of the days events, and got the usual, 'keep doing what you're doing' response. Char shut down the comm terminal, and drifted off into a meditation sleep.

I'm... I'm sorry... Please don't kill me/
I won't be the one who kills you. The ground will.
