[Time is an illusion, Sci-Fi time, Doubly so] The planet was miserable. Malastare, literally one of the most temperate places in the Galaxy, superceded only by Places like Naboo and Alderaan. It was a planet that the Republic had shown interest in, however, and it's Representative had been loud and unruly, Calling for Quick military action and an overpowering show of Force against the Sith, demanding repeatedly that the Jedi take more action against the Sith themselves, do their, what he so outspokenly and loudly said, was their job. Now, every so often, people would make waves in the Senate, this was expected. Most knew what the limit was, knew where they stood. Malastare's Representative to the Senate had no clue where to stop, as well as little power to actually do anything. His continued outspokenness had drawn attention to him, the kind that he would have been safer avoiding, and tonight, thought the woman who had been tasked to educate him, he would learn. Zænia Urto was a member of the Order of the Sith, a rather new sect, technically, in it's current form. Being a member, however, had earned her another name. Caliga. She was the silent mist that descended, directed by her masters, commanded to provide an example to others who might desire to make mistakes similar to those made by people who'd come before them. The tools of her trade were well-hidden within the folds of her Cloak, custom-designed for strength and lightweight build around her, and to the world at large, Caliga appeared to be an average citizen of the Galaxy. Within twenty minutes of landing, she was at the Government center, having been told that she would find the Representative there by her Superiors. The Senate was on break right now, an ill-timed event in any case, and her job was simply up a few hundred stories above her. Without a care in the world, she entered the building, moving through Security without a hitch, thanks to a few well-spent credits. That, unfortunately, was when she felt it, a presence in the Force that gave her skin a tingling feeling as she rode up the Elevator in her lonesome. "Jedi" she muttered, shaking her head slowly as the Doors dinged, stopping on a floor to allow another person to board the Turbovator. The Representative, however, wasn't her target, and as she went through the Mission details in her mind, she reviewed her mental image of the woman who assisted the Senator. She wouldn't die, not immediately, but that was part of the plan, apparently. To use her life as an example of the pain that could be caused in the Senator's life.

She had heard of this governor on the holonet. She had never seen him before, she found it hard to wish she could have kept up that track record. Spit flew from his mouth every time he spoke, he was at least half her height and still probably managed to outweigh her somehow. and of course he was the loudest and most infuriating person she had ever heard. She honestly hoped not all Dugs were like this. His voice was one of arrogance, someone who believed they owned their position rather than had earned it. She was finding it very hard not to scream at him to be quiet.
So she stood there, hands behind her back, watching as a spray of spit hit her in the chest every time he opened his mouth to say another word. She wondered how he could possibly be so short and so angry at her. As if she ordered the council what to do. She had only come to tell him to stop asking her to forward messages to the council, a thousand message in a single month was enough. She had other things to do then ignore governors who could likely manage to annoy the council.
She finally felt the spray of spit stop and opened her eyes. By the force, had he actually done it? Was he actually let her get a word in? She didn't care at this moment, she just wanted to leave this fat man and get back to her actual duties.
"Governor, I am not here to deliver a message from the council. I am here to ask you to stop pestering me, I have other planets in this sector to act as peacekeeper for. Spending my time forwarding your messages to the council for you is taking away from my time to do my duty as a Jedi."
She didn't bother to tell him she never actually did forward his messages. She assumed that the first message was enough, if the council had deemed it necessary to do something they would have done something. She was about to turn around and leave when she felt a warning in a force. Then it happened.
"Other systems in this sector!?" She never thought a fat man exploding at her would ever be a cause for warning in the force. "This is the most important planet in the sector! By all rights we should have our own personal Jedi Peacekeeper! You dare come into my office to tell me that you will not maintain peace here? I should have you escorted out of here in chains for this!"
If Serseth hadn't been a Jedi Knight she might have groaned. This would likely mean a hour long rant of half comprehensible sentences and another two hours trying to wash his spit out of her fur. This couldn't possibly be a man, it had to be a incredibly life-like droid...

Just as the Turbovator's music was reaching it's most annoying playthrough, the doors opened, releasing Caliga into the Hallway that would take her into the Senator's office. Just in time too, considering that she was at least 90% sure that one of the people who'd exited the rapidly-moving machine had eaten something Twi'lek in origin, considering the level of stench that the male's body had produced.
With a sigh, the woman pinched the bridge of her nose, wishing that the lingering smell would vanish, but knowing that there was no way that would end up happening. Approaching the Republic Representative's offices, she silence the Secretary with a rapidly-thrown blade, hearing the soft squelch as the razor-sharp metal split the woman's skin, and the dull thud of it impacting against her spine.
Relishing the sudden silence, Caliga stopped at the Office doors, staring at them and listening. Oh...he was shouting at someone? Well, that explained why no one had come to stop her so far. It would make it that much easier to actually Acquire the woman she'd been tasked to retrieve. With a quick turn to the left, the Short, Sorrusian, woman continued down the hall, heading towards the office of the Republic's personal Assistant.
Pushing the door open, she finally saw her target. Middle-aged, but well-groomed and quite attractive. She apparently had the money to ensure that her beauty would last far longer than it was supposed to. What a wonderful way to make the Galaxy a better place, with Manicures and Facials. Three quick motions later, the woman's communicator lay on the floor, split in two, and she was trembling, a glowing crimson blade humming a few millimeters away from the soft, supple skin on her neck. Come along, We have a meeting to attend the Sith told the woman, forcing her to stand and continuing to walk with her, blade quivering with each step.
Within seconds, they were at the Representative's office, the door laying on the floor, kicked in with a powerful thrust of Zaenia's boot. Hello all! she chimed, smiling with just the slightest tinge of Sadism, Just wanted to let you know that we were going for a little walk...then a little flight...then a little torture, we'll be sure to send you some video Representative. Maybe it'll teach you to not be such a huge whiny baby all the time. Also, if you try and follow, I leave her guts on your shiny new floors the woman added, pulling her captive back. Don't think I'm joking either Jedi. The Secretary's already dead. This one's next, how you react determines how much she cries before I actually give her that blissful release from her mortal coil

The governor had just screamed an obscenity at her when she felt a life extinguish nearby. She turned to warn the governor to hide but every time she tried to speak up he screamed at her to keep her mouth shut and that she could speak when he was damn well ready to. Unfortunately for him Serseth was no longer in the mood for this. Action was required so she took the simple action. She grabbed him and pushed him against the wall behind her and stepped in front of him. If anyone would come through that door she would be ready.
As she waited she could hear him still yelling, now about her improper treatment of someone of such important. She nearly turned around and punched him. But she decided to explain so he would shutup, she would rather have him cowering in fear then screaming at her.
"Someone just died outside these doors, be quiet."
She wanted to just leave this damn fat alien here, but she had sworn to protect the Republic, and unfortunately this fat alien was part of the republic. He might have even counted as two republic citizens. Then the door smashed open and a crazy woman appeared. Not just a crazy woman, a dark jedi. The presence off of her was unmistakable.
The earlier disturbance's cause had apparently been found. She frowned as she noticed the older woman in the dark jedi's grip. She sighed and let her pike fall to the floor. With a simple movement she kicked it over. No use antagonizing the dark jedi. Then put her hands up in a simple admission of defeat.
"You have my hands tied."
It was the truth, not the whole truth but the truth nonetheless. She did have her hands tied, for now at least..

Caliga watched as the Jedi she'd barely noticed earlier apparently surrendered, sending the fat Representative into Conniptions, all fluttering hands and Flailing arms and screaming as to how the Jedi should be saving him, and damn the assistant. Blinking a few times, mildly amused by the scene, the Sith tilted her head for a second, before pointing her finger at the mildly-obese Rep. You there, shut up. I want to say things Then shifting to point at the Jedi. You there, stop being such a pushover or something. Jeeze, and you pansies wonder why WE'RE winning and you have to deal with whiny piles of poodoo like that thing. You know, if you were a Sith, and he wanted to whine like that, you could just kill him to shut him up or something... she explained, laughing as she sighed.
Then her face became serious, her eyes floating towards the male once more. I want you to know this. I'm an assassin. I could have killed you thirty-two different, bloody, ways in the past four minutes since I've been upstairs, and for a while before then with a good enough gun. I'm clearly not here to kill you, but unless you want me to be, you'll shut up. There are people stronger than I who are tired of listening to your simpering voice as you bemoan your woes to your superiors. You have a mansion, you eat daily, and that's one HELL of a lot better than the Dugs here, so shut up, or I feed you to them, morsel by morsel, cooked over Derpy McDropmyweapon's over there's blade.
Resting her hand on the Assistant's breast for a moment, Zaenia gave it a playful squeeze, grinning again as she spoke one final time. I think you all deserve a paycut, honestly, but what do I know....oh...wait...How to kill she said, shaking her head as a blade emerged from it's hiding place in her sleeve, burying itself in the woman's heart, eliciting a fearful cry of pain. Oh, shut up, you'll live...for about five minutes she said, turning her saber off and dropping the woman with a push from the hand on her back. Taking three steps backward, Zaenia made a low bow...right into the Turbovator.
Pressing the down button, she cackled, having decided to hit all of the buttons before she got off, on a random floor.

Serseth cursed as the dark jedi placed a blade in the woman's chest then ran off. She didn't chase after her, she ran to the woman who had just been stabbed and placed a finger to her throat. She didn't imagine the woman might survive, but she had to check before she did anything. She looked at the governor and nearly screamed at him. He was cowering at a moment like this, where he should have been acting. She took a quick breath and calmed herself. He was just a civilian, not a fighter.
"Get on your comlink and lock down the building before the woman escapes."
Her voice was controlled, she couldn't afford to lose her temper now. She was Jedi Knight, she could handle this. She handled Quilura, she could control her emotions. Her mind shuddered as she remembered the events that had occurred, she fought back fear.
She listened as the rather fat dug spoke into his comlink and ordered the shutdown of the building. Serseth herself grabbed her lightsaber pike and sat down on the governor's desk. As much as she wanted to chase after the governor the dark jedi had to much of a headstart, she could jump out the window and use the force to slow her fall but she had no idea where the dark jedi could have gone, for all she knew the dark jedi could still be in the building.
So with that she ordered the governor to stay put and wait, either until security came in contact with the dark jedi and helped Serseth pin her location or until Serseth herself could find her through the force. So with that she simply let her mind wander, reaching out in the force for the force users location.

The ride down was fun...for the most part. It stopped being as fun for the Sith at about the time that the power was cut, high above the ground level, leaving her stranded and stuck in the atmosphere of the planet, surrounded by a Durasteel box that refused to move, no matter how many buttons she pressed. Cursing as she kicked the wall, she cursed again, hopping up and down for a few seconds, her foot now killing her with a series of sharp, stabby pains from each of her darling little toesies.
It was with a sigh that the woman activated her lightsaber, swinging it around her form a few times, getting used to the feeling once more. Then, thrusting downward, she started to penetrate the floor. This task was time-consuming and more than a little irritating, considering the acrid smoke of Durasteel melting under the punishing assault of her blade. Within a few minutes, There was a nice-sized hole in the floor and she was slipping out of it, her hands stretching out to catch against the rails that supported and guided the Elevator while it moved.
It took a few minutes to actually slow herself down, a few little pushes with the Force helping her stop her momentum, but finally, she reached the ground level, and was presented with two options. Go through the doors, into a lobby that was likely full of guards...or slice her way outside. Tilting her head, she thought for a few moments, deciding to go the easy way. A few more moments and she stepped from the Tube-like tunnel, into the bright sun of Malastare.
Ladies and Germs, let's hear it for the Amazing Caliga! she crowed, hiding her weapons once more and blending into the crowd as best as she could, slouching down to change how she'd look from behind.

Serseth sat on the top of the table feeling out in the force for the dark jedi. She couldn't feel a thing, only the minds of the rest of the populace moving throughout the building. This wasn't even something she was considered the best at, she had seen padawans who were better at feeling the minds of those around them.
Nonetheless she took a deep breath and kept searching. She then felt it, the presence of a force user, barely even noticeable in the force. Without a word she began running, the turbolift was down as part of security so she took the stairs. She moved fast trying to keep track of the presence, it wasn't easy. Unless she put her full concentration behind it the dark jedi's presence was barely even noticeable.
Soon enough she was at the ground level. The presence was close, then it was moving, she couldn't believe it. As she had come out of the stair there had been a squad of guards there making sure no one was leaving. They were still alive so the dark jedi couldn't have come through the lobby. Yet she was growing fainter. She had to be outside.
She called upon the force to amplify her speed, moving as fast as she could to the opposite side. It took her far to long to make it, she could only see the hole in the side of the building to where the turbolift was. She ran up to the nearest civilian and asked him where the woman who had come out of that hole went, when he said he didn't know she went to the next. She wouldn't let this dark jedi escape while she still lived.

Swagger
That was the only thing present in Zaenia's step, each one bouncing a little, pride flowing through her body in the excellence of her escape. Sure, the Jedi had thrown a wrench into the works, but it wasn't a big one, and the message had been delivered. So...mission accomplished. She'd tack that one up on her Victory board in her room in Phaylis' ship. Yet...something nagged at her mind, niggled in the back of her brain.
The Jedi.
Sure that she wouldn't give up, Zaenia stopped where she was, eyes searching the crowd, seeking out the Jedi's form and not seeing it. It didn't help that she was a short little Sorrusian woman either though. Within a few moments, she gave up, instead turning down an alley and dropping through a small grate that she opened earlier, falling into the City's Sewers.

Serseth was ready go give up on the attacker when she got a lucky break. She asked a young mother who said she hadn't seen anyone but the child pointed in a direction. Before the mother could chastise the child for being foolish enough to think that he had seen the suspect Serseth was off, it was better chance than wandering around foolishly.
As she rounded the corner of a building she saw a figure fall through the ground. If she hadn't known better she would say the dark jedi had had literally phased through the street. After a quick investigation she saw the open grate and jumped through after. Before her feet touched the ground of the filthy place the lightsaber was back in her hands and ignited.
There were no innocents to hide behind her, no headstart to throw her off. Serseth wouldn't give up until she was dead or there was no more hope of finding the dark jedi. Two to many people had died to this woman, Serseth would end it here.

After hitting the ground, the Sith Assassin had began to move again, using the dim lighting to her advantage, hitting shadows with each burst of movement, her steps silent against the stone and Duracrete.
The main problem with this area was the fact that each and every sound echoed, and within a few seconds of the Jedi's arrival in the passage, Zaenia could hear her landing, the sound of her saber's hissing and the movement of her feet. Ah, so brave, to follow me here she called out, knowing that the Echos would make it a little harder on the Jedi to track her.
You're out of your Element girl. The Shadows are my realm, and I thrive for Ambush...Are you sure this was so wise? she taunted, considering the options as she talked, hoping that her words would have the effect of discombobulating the Jedi's concentration.
Slipping to the edge of the walkway, Zaenia smiled, having an idea. As quietly as possible, she slipped herself into the water, grimacing a little with the slimy feel of it, and waited. There was only one way that the Jedi could go, and with a little luck, she could slip right past the woman.

As she looked around in the dark shadows she realized activating her lightsaber had been a mistake, her night vision had gone, the hum given off would mask the sounds of anyone moving around. She thumbed the activator, letting the silver blade vanish. She blinked, trying to let her eyes adjust to the shadows.
You're out of your Element girl. The Shadows are my realm, and I thrive for Ambush...Are you sure this was so wise?
The taunts of the woman were beneath her. She was a dark jedi, likely a coward, afraid of the light that came to put the shadows out. She would not let words from a coward disturb her, she would die before that ever happened.
She took her first step forward into the darkness once she felt herself ready. She reached out in the force feeling for the dark jedi's presence, it was faint, but it was here in the sewer somewhere. She spoke up, hoping to get a reply.
"If you come out I promise I will not hurt you."

Caliga was silent, not moving and holding her breath quite well, one of the wonderful things about the skill that she held with her body through the Force. She waited, listening, eyes closed, for the woman to come closer and closer, hearing the Steps, the sound of the Saber, until it was finally turned off, and the Sith opened her eyes, rising from the water slowly to wait in a little more Comfortable position, her nose barely above the water, her breaths drawn in short pulls from her nose.
Within a minute, she was rewarded, the sight of the Jedi walking on the path above giving the Sorrusian woman pause enough to ready herself. A few more moments passed, as the woman decided to talk, to try and bargain...with no avail. The only thing that did was give the Assassin a chance to ready herself a little more, moving while the Jedi was talking, slipping next to the Stone of the walkway, and as the last word escaped from the Jedi's mouth...she struck.
Reaching up with lightning speed, Zaenia gripped around the Jedi's Ankles, suddenly sinking herself down and pulling, using the Jedi's weight to Pull herself up, while pulling the Jedi down at the same time. Clearing the Water when she finally released the Jedi, Zaenia scrambled back up, onto the slick walkway and began moving again, quickly, heading towards a ladder that would take her out, surprisingly close to the spaceport.
A few hundred more meters, and she'd be free.

When Serseth felt the hand grasp her ankle it felt like something out of a horror film. She tried to react as quickly as she could but soon enough her mouth was filled with sewage. Her fur was covered in sewage. She quickly spit it out and righted herself. She didn't bother pulled herself out, no time, so she swam toward the dark jedi.
She nearly puked her in her mouth, she felt as if some of the sewage water had managed to get down her throat. It felt disgusting, it was easily one of the worst experiences she had ever had. She swam to the walkway and then used the force to jump up onto it. She was angry now.
She could see the damn woman easily now, hear her footsteps echoing through the tunnel. She ran as fast as she could, she used the force to amplify her movements, fully intending on killing this Jedi for that embarrasment. It was unjedilike but she was angry now.

Knowing that the Jedi would be infuriated now, or at the least irritated at the sudden submergence into the sewage's stench, Zaenia kicked it up a few notches, her legs pumping and thrusting each step echoing against the hard stone floor. Within a few more steps, she lept, gripping the ladder and pulling herself up with all of the force that she could muster, the Force's power flooding the muscles of her arms as she released her grip, rocketing up through the hole that she'd left open earlier.
As master always said, three escape routes and a backup! she crowed, pushing the cover back over the hole, knowing that it wouldn't stop the Jedi long...it would be amusing, however, seeing it fly into the air with her rage....that would be gloriously hilarious, and considering the Vibe that she was getting from the stronger woman, that was probably exactly what would happen.
About Fifty more meters away, Zaenia's small ship waited, and moving to it, she waited, hanging onto the landing strut as she watched the manhole, wanting to savor the feeling of Failure from the Jedi when the woman finally exited the sewer, covered in poo and just a little too late.

As soon as Serseth reached the ladder she grabbed a rung and pulled herself up using the force to help her skip rungs. When she reached the closed manhole she force pushed it out of her way. She wasn't going to let a small hunk of durasteel stop her from her target now. Once above ground she took in the starship and saw the dark jedi hanging onto the landing strut. She had them now, the ship didn't appear to be on and so she got on all fours and ran towards it.
She didn't care about the consequences now of what she was about to do. The woman might get into the cockpit and begin a take off by the time she would get over there but she would still manage to jump up onto it. This woman had humiliated her, killed innocents for no reason, she was dead even if she didn't know it. Serseth could feel the wind whipping through her fur up here on the surface.
She looked the dark jedi in the face. As if to let her know Serseth would win this chase. Halfway to the ship she pushed off her hands to get back to her hind legs and grabbed her lightsaber, the silver blade flared to life. Even if the dark jedi managed to get away she could at least ensure she didn't get far enough.

As the Jedi sprinted and approached that much faster, Zaenia watched, mildly interested, reaching into her pocket to find the Beacon Call for the Small ship she'd been given for this mission. Blinking a few times, she started the engine, then hit another button, detonating the small series of smoke bombs she'd placed around her ship, hiding the craft in a thermal layer.
Huh, I didn't remember any beasties when I was at the temple she mused, shrugging a little as she moved onto the ramp, closing it and moving towards the Cockpit as the Beacon Call's functions took over, lifting the ship slowly into the sky. Glad I didn't have to kill her tho...she wasn't in my mission and I kinda wanted to scritch her behind her ears, see if she'd thump like a puppy...
Then she paused, turning out external speakers and picking up the small microphone.
YOU MAAAAAD? she shouted, cackling evilly

The smoke bombs were a surprise, however Serseth wasn't about to let it stop her from reaching that ship. She called upon the force again and used it to push the smoke away, she could just barely make out the ship. She pushed herself to run to her absolute limits in order to make it before the ship could fly off. She heard the whine of the engines and grimaced as the ship began to take off. This would certainly be close.
Grabbing what little energy she had left after running around the city on this hunt she pushed off the ground, letting the force amplify her. She angled her lightsaber down and prepared to push as hard she could with her lightsaber into the hull of the ship. A few feet from landing she stabbed her lightsaber into the hull, hoping to hit something vital like a fuel line or anything.

As the Sith Ascended into the atmosphere, she began to head towards the Government building, when a small little red light went off on her console. Pressing a few buttons, the Sorrusian Sith Activated the small screen, only to discover that her Hyperdrive motivator had been fractured on the port side.
Blasted Meddling Jedi, and their little dogs too she muttered, triggering the shields to activate on the small ship, rolling her eyes and tilting the ship to the side to Eject her unwanted passenger, hopefully through a window somewhere, hopefully into a toilet.
Chuckling at the thought, she waited a few seconds before triggering the Acceleration and shooting out of the Atmosphere, heading into space. There should be a place for her to get her ship fixed, hopefully close by, and if nothing else, she could try the other side of this infernal planet.

Serseth screamed as she fell. Then felt a pressure behind her then a great growing pain in her arm then nothing. She couldn't believe where she was, she had fallen through a window into a building. Glass had cut her all over but she was relatively okay, at least until she tried to move her arm. She could feel dozens of bones scraping against her and she screamed again, this time in pain. She had put all of her weight entirely into her arm when she hit the floor. The glass had saved her life by slowing her fall, even if only slightly.
She looked around, to find three faces staring at her. She bared her teeth in a grin and winced in pain as she felt something move in her arm. She watched one grab his comlink and call for an ambulance. She looked around for her lightsaber to find her still good arm holding it. She thumbed the activator in the force finally turning it off and watched as a black haze began to overtake her.
