First comes his family, and his families honour, followed by his loyalty to the Count of Serenno, then his loyalty to the Republic. The trust that the Count of Serenno has in him is the main reason why he has been appointed as a Senator.
His late father made sure Lorenzo was given the best possible education as a child and that nurtured his natural intelligence into a very smart young man. It is likely he could have been one of the foremost scholars of the age but he decided to focus on politics. However he has a love of history that borders on the obsessive, and his family palace has a huge library, and he speaks a number of languages. Lorenzo can be very distrusting. Lorenzo has always been attracted to non-Human females. He's not sure why, perhaps because it is considered taboo, but he always has. Lorenzo doesn't want children, though he does want a wife, but he feels it is his duty to continue the line of Demici. Lorenzo has a pet bird called Serenno. Many of his views are Conservative, though he will always put helping people before political views, but he does not judge people with different views to his. He likes to learn from them. One of his advisors is a Liberal Torguta for example. Lorenzo has a deep love of ancient art, and a deep hatred of modern art, paintings are by far his favourite. He has spent a fortune expanding his families collection.

Lorenzo Agostino Demici was born on the planet of Serenno, on the Demici Estate. The son of one Serenno's Great Families he was the heir to a fortune and political power that stretched back centuries. His father was Count Silvio Demici who was married to Countess Marie Demici. Lorenzo was brought up in a very loving family and he wanted for nothing. The family palace was staffed with servants and staff to help him with everything he could ever want and he was spoiled as a child.
Count Silvio was at the Court of the Count of Serenno while the Demici families greatest rival, the Nalju family, almost brought down the family in a fake scandal. They were lucky that the Count of Serenno, the planets ruler, was able to see through the lies and save the Demici. The Demici family had always been strong supporters of Serenno's ruler but after that incident the Demici family became the strongest allies of the Counts of Serenno.
Lorenzo was sent to a school on Serenno that was one of the finest educational institutions in the Galaxy. His class was made up of only five other boys, all from noble families, who's parents were paying a fortune to send them there. He met a boy named Ezio at school who became his closest friend. Ezio was from a noble family, though not one of the six Great Houses like Lorenzo, and they both shared an interest in the same things. They were both intelligent and as they aged they both had a love of politics.
When Lorenzo was four his mother gave birth to his first sibling. When he was told he would have a little brother he was ecstatic. For the duration of the pregnancy he would ''talk'' to the baby through his mother's growing belly and tell him about all the games they would play. Nine months latter she gave birth to Antonio Demici. The boy was huge and extremely healthy. At first Lorenzo was disappointed. He couldn't play with his new brother and his parents attention was drawn from him and on the new addition to the family. He began to act up, mainly to get attention, and his parents were called into his school when Lorenzo started a fight with another boy.
The Headmaster didn't expel him, not that he could really of expelled a Demici, and Lorenzo's parents explained that they still loved Lorenzo, but the new baby needed more attention. Lorenzo accepted that and from then on acted as an older brother. When his brother was old enough to play games they became incredibly close and Lorenzo would become very defensive.
As the heir Lorenzo was taught about the family businesses and the large role they played on the planet. Lorenzo was told that they had a duty to help those that are less fortunate and he was told of the debt that they owed the ruling Counts of Serenno.
He continued his schooling at his school and at his home. His father taught him about all the important families on the planets, who to trust and who not to, the important people on the planet and the politics of Serenno and the Republic. He found it all fascinating and he spent much of his time in the families library.
When he was 10 years old his mother gave birth to his sister, Elisabeth Demici, it was strange having another sibling, especially a girl, but he was happy to have a sister.
His education grew harder as he aged. At school began to read more and more science, especially physics, it was certainly challenging but he loved every minute of it.
When he was 12 he was out, alone, exploring their vast estate. He found himself in a great forest and saw that there was a girl, maybe a year older than he was, living there homeless. Carefully he approached her. She was petrified and was about to run when he offered her his water. She took it from him and began to drink. After a while they began to talk and she explained that she came from an abusive family and she had left home.
He asked if she wanted to come back to his home. At first she was scared, believing her mother would drag her back, but he explained who his father was and she agreed to come back. They arrived at their family palace and his mother and father said she could stay for the night.
The next day they contacted the authorities who took the girl into their care, and eventually prosecuted her parents. From then on Lorenzo has always felt that he needs to do all he can for the less fortunate.
Not to long after that incident Lorenzo's father introduced him to the family business in more detail. The Demici family had it's hands in pots but it was most well known for trading things like silk, spices and other luxuries. Lorenzo was made to observe various jobs in the company, and he enjoyed it immensely. He learned the ins and outs of running a huge corporation but he also took a keen interest in the well fare of those that worked for the company, both on Serenno and off -world.
Not long after his 15th birthday he met Caterina Agostino. She was the daughter of a well of father and the two started dating soon after they met. Lorenzo had never dated before and he became like a love sick pup; and Caterina was more than willing to take advantage of it. She soon had him at her beck and call, and he would do anything for her.
From the money he made working for his father, and the extra money his father would give him whenever he asked, he lavished her with gifts. At first his mother and father stood by, they could see he was being taken advantage off, but they wanted him to realise it for himself. But when his schooling began to suffer they began to step in.
Until then Lorenzo and his girlfriend had been together every day but he was forced to focus on his school work. But he still felt deeply in love, still gave her anything she wanted. But when they were both 16 Lorenzo decided to pay her a surprise visit. When he got there he found Caterina kissing another boy.
Lorenzo was angry and sad but he was more upset at himself. He had loved her but he had been a fool. After that he never spoke to her again, and it would be many years before he opened up to a romantic relationship.
When he was old enough Lorenzo was offered a scholarship, due to his excellent work in school, from Courscant University. He declined the scholarship, requesting it be given to someone who would be unable to afford to attend with out it, but did enter the University. It was not his first time on the planet, he had often been with his father on business and political matters, but he had never been in the City planet for more than a few days.
He enjoyed the independence of University and meeting so many new people was amazing. In one of his classes there were over 8 different species, and only 22 students. His father bought a large penthouse on Courscant and allowed his son to use it as his own. Like most teens he held the occasional party, though no go to out of hand, but he made sure to look after the house.
In between his studies he decided to learn another language he chose Huttese. He soon found out he had both a talent for languages and by the age of 26 he mastered five languages. In his second year he dated a Torguta, who only ever went by her nickname ''Mimmie.'' They were both studying the same course and had not really talked until their second year when they really hit it off.
Soon they were dating and she stayed over at his house quite often, it was very close to Courscant. She also began to teach him her native tongue, though he found it harder than Huttese, and he told her about Serenno and his family. For over a year their relationship was great, but then they just began to drift apart. Both were busy with studies and eventually they decided to go their separate ways. But they remain friends.
After completing his degree he returned to Serenno to take up a position at the Count of Serenno's court. He acted as a junior advisor to the Count and he loved his new job. Not only did it allow him to learn the political ropes but it allowed him to see his family as often as he wanted.
His sister had grown loads since he left, she was now 11, and a talented artist. His brother, now 17, was planning to go to Naboo to study and his father and mother were as happy as ever. Although the Count of Serenno had a lot of power he was not without enemies and Lorenzo often kept a very close eye on the political agendas of his master.
When the Count had a new policy Lorenzo would often announce it to the media or in public. He found the media all together creepy and deceptive, they often tried to twist his words, and he has never trusted a journalist since.
At the young age of 23 he was appointed an Associate Planetary Representative and moved back into his old Courscant home. He spent every second he could in the Senate and was eager to soak all of the new experience up. His first speech to the Senate was nerve racking but enjoyable and he soon became a talented speaker. As Serenno's only Reprsentative he was able to vote when Serenno's Senator was not able to get to the session, and he took it extremely seriously.
Only a few months after being appointed an APR he was sent on a diplomatic mission along with his Senator. The mission was all about securing the release of a Wookiee who had been taken as a slave by a group of Trandoshans. Republic Security believed he had information about an imminent attack on a Republic world so his release was important.
Lorenzo and his superior were accompanied by a Jedi Knight and a Padawan. The two Jedi would free the Wookiee with force if needed. But no one, on their side at least, wanted casualties. As they landed on the planet their plane was attacked by a rouge Trandoshan who had no wish to mediate with the Republic.
The attack was sloppy and the two Jedi dispatched the man in mere seconds, Lorenzo fired a shot with his blaster but missed. However the attack did knock out the Senator. Lorenzo composed himself and decided to continue with the mission. It was decided that the padawan would stay and protect the Senator and the Knight would go with Lorenzo.
The rest of the Trandoshan were excessively apologetic and promised they had nothing to do with the attack. Lorenzo took advantage of that fact and was able to secure the release of the Wookiee without anyone else being harmed. It turned out the Wookiee's information was false but Lorenzo had carried out his mission.
Silvio Demici was on the way to Naboo, where the family had business interests, when his small ship was attacked by pirates. In an attempt to defend his crew he began to shoot at the men who had attacked them. One of them he hit but he was quickly gunned down by the other three.
When the Demici family found out they were all heartbroken. Lorenzo flew back from Courscant to be with his family. Lorenzo took over the running of the family as Count Demci. His sister stopped talking altogether. Lorenzo pushed his feelings down and six months after his father's death he left the planet to once more take up his post as Representative. It allowed him to not dwell on his father's death and he through himself into his work like never before The Count of Sernno was so impressed that, when the old Senator retired, he appointed Lorenzo as Senator.
Lorenzo was ecstatic but deeply sad that his father wasn't there to see him take up his post. He was only 25 but he was determined to make his mark. He spoke out about things that really mattered to him and he has made quite a good number of allies and equally as many, usually corrupt, enemies. Lorenzo's brother, now 21, came to work for his brother after his university course finished, as one of his Advisors.
The newly appointed Honourable Senator from Serenno System made his first speech as a Senator only a few days after his appointment. It was not his first speech in the Senate but now he spoke with far more authority. As he was called to the floor he held himself up straight and delivered his speech on the corruption in the system. The system, he believed, was broken and they needed to fix it. This was hugely unpopular, largely with the pro-corruption bloc, and he was almost shouted down. But he held his cool and the speaker demanded that he be heard.
His speech seemed to increase his standing with a good number of Senators as over the next few days many arrived at his large apartment on 500 Republica. He was able to help form a powerful coalition of anti-corruption Senators who work together for the betterment of the Galaxy and not their own, and their donors, pockets,

''Maybe, but there are enough of us to make a change.''
The two brothers were interrupted by a high pitched chime. ''Come in.'' Declared Lorenzo.

''I know what you meant, Mother and I come to visit you two, and she let me come and greet you first. She's cooking dinner right now in your penthouse.''

Like most teens he held the occasional party, though no go to out of hand, but he made sure to look after the house.
In between his studies he decided to learn another language he chose Huttese. He soon found out he had both a talent for languages and by the age of 26 he mastered five languages. In his second year he dated a Torguta, who only ever went by her nickname ''Mimmie.'' They were both studying the same course and had not really talked until their second year when they really hit it off.
Soon they were dating and she stayed over at his house quite often, it was very close to Courscant. She also began to teach him her native tongue, though he found it harder than Huttese, and he told her about Serenno and his family. For over a year their relationship was great, but then they just began to drift apart. Both were busy with studies and eventually they decided to go their separate ways. But they remain friends.
After completing his degree he returned to Serenno to take up a position at the Count of Serenno's court. He acted as a junior advisor to the Count and he loved his new job. Not only did it allow him to learn the political ropes but it allowed him to see his family as often as he wanted.
His sister had grown loads since he left, she was now 11, and a talented artist. His brother, now 17, was planning to go to Naboo to study and his father and mother were as happy as ever. Although the Count of Serenno had a lot of power he was not without enemies and Lorenzo often kept a very close eye on the political agendas of his master.
When the Count had a new policy Lorenzo would often announce it to the media or in public. He found the media all together creepy and deceptive, they often tried to twist his words, and he has never trusted a journalist since.
At the young age of 23 he was appointed an Associate Planetary Representative and moved back into his old Courscant home. He spent every second he could in the Senate and was eager to soak all of the new experience up. His first speech to the Senate was nerve racking but enjoyable and he soon became a talented speaker. As Serenno's only Reprsentative he was able to vote when Serenno's Senator was not able to get to the session, and he took it extremely seriously.
Only a few months after being appointed an APR he was sent on a diplomatic mission along with his Senator. The mission was all about securing the release of a Wookiee who had been taken as a slave by a group of Trandoshans. Republic Security believed he had information about an imminent attack on a Republic world so his release was important.
Lorenzo and his superior were accompanied by a Jedi Knight and a Padawan. The two Jedi would free the Wookiee with force if needed. But no one, on their side at least, wanted casualties. As they landed on the planet their plane was attacked by a rouge Trandoshan who had no wish to mediate with the Republic.
The attack was sloppy and the two Jedi dispatched the man in mere seconds, Lorenzo fired a shot with his blaster but missed. However the attack did knock out the Senator. Lorenzo composed himself and decided to continue with the mission. It was decided that the padawan would stay and protect the Senator and the Knight would go with Lorenzo.
The rest of the Trandoshan were excessively apologetic and promised they had nothing to do with the attack. Lorenzo took advantage of that fact and was able to secure the release of the Wookiee without anyone else being harmed. It turned out the Wookiee's information was false but Lorenzo had carried out his mission.
Silvio Demici was on the way to Naboo, where the family had business interests, when his small ship was attacked by pirates. In an attempt to defend his crew he began to shoot at the men who had attacked them. One of them he hit but he was quickly gunned down by the other three.
When the Demici family found out they were all heartbroken. Lorenzo flew back from Courscant to be with his family. Lorenzo took over the running of the family as Count Demci. His sister stopped talking altogether. Lorenzo pushed his feelings down and six months after his father's death he left the planet to once more take up his post as Representative. It allowed him to not dwell on his father's death and he through himself into his work like never before The Count of Sernno was so impressed that, when the old Senator retired, he appointed Lorenzo as Senator.
Lorenzo was ecstatic but deeply sad that his father wasn't there to see him take up his post. He was only 25 but he was determined to make his mark. He spoke out about things that really mattered to him and he has made quite a good number of allies and equally as many, usually corrupt, enemies. Lorenzo's brother, now 21, came to work for his brother after his university course finished, as one of his Advisors.
The newly appointed Honourable Senator from Serenno System made his first speech as a Senator only a few days after his appointment. It was not his first speech in the Senate but now he spoke with far more authority. As he was called to the floor he held himself up straight and delivered his speech on the corruption in the system. The system, he believed, was broken and they needed to fix it. This was hugely unpopular, largely with the pro-corruption bloc, and he was almost shouted down. But he held his cool and the speaker demanded that he be heard.
His speech seemed to increase his standing with a good number of Senators as over the next few days many arrived at his large apartment on 500 Republica. He was able to help form a powerful coalition of anti-corruption Senators who work together for the betterment of the Galaxy and not their own, and their donors, pockets,

''Antonio! Do we have the results yet?'' The impatient Senator asked his younger brother. The two nobles were sitting in Lorenzo's office as they waited for news on the recent vote in the Senate. Senator Lorenzo Demici had decided not to attend, as he was furious that the Senate were even discussing reducing spending in health for more on the military.
''Senator Praxis' bill passed Lorenzo...that mea...''
''I bloody know what that means!'' Shouted Lorenzo as he jumped from his chair, grabbed a small lamp on his desk, and threw it at the wall. ''Arghhh! They're all bloody bought by the ''Defence'' contractors you know. ''Defence'' HA! How can guns, lasers and all that other crap be anything but offensive.''
Lorenzo's younger brother rolled his eyes, his brother had a terrible temper. ''Yea I know, but what can anyone do, it's always been the way of politics, Brother.''
''Ay, but it was never our father's way! And we can change it Ant, we can. Were in a powerful position. I'm a Senator, and a Count, we have our families funds at our disposal. We need to find more allies. Like minded Senators who despise corruption.'' Said Lorenzo.
Antonio scoffed, ''Not many of those,''
''Maybe, but there are enough of us to make a change.''
The two brothers were interrupted by a high pitched chime. ''Come in.'' Declared Lorenzo.
A small, petite, girl entered. She wore a stunning, obviously very expensive green dress, that matched the rich fabrics that the two men were wearing inside. Then, all of a sudden, she ran at Lorenzo and hugged him tightly.
''Elisabeth, what are you doing here!'' Lorenzo asked.
''What, you're not happy to see your little sister?''
''No, I didn't mean that I meant...''
''I know what you meant, Mother and I come to visit you two, and she let me come and greet you first. She's cooking dinner right now in your penthouse.''
With unspoken consent the three Demici siblings walked out of the room, Lorenzo had forgotten all of his troubles and plans, tonight he was not Count Demici, he wasn't even a Senator. He was just a brother and a son.
