I've been told I don't NEED permission, due to Deactivated Charries.
Name: Locila Angela Mer
Aliases: Angel, Miss Mer, Loci
Race: Ghostling
Age: 15
Height: 4' 9"
Weight: 75 lbs
Birth place: Coruscant
Appearance:
Glowing, Ethereally so. Literally, Locila's Skin glows before the eyes of those who gaze upon her. With a tanned look about it, one could almost see the shimmering of her flesh. Stud that with a pair of deep, soulfully-black eyes and long pale-green hair that curls around her face, actually floating with the slightest breeze, giving her that wonderfully wind-blown look. Not to say that her hair is anywhere close to shoulder Length. In over 15 years, she's not been to a hairdresser, so it's length is closer to her ankles, when it's not held back gently with a bit of silken ribbon.
Depending, on what she's doing, too, her appearance can change. On Stage, before a Camera, either for Modeling shoots or for interviews on the Holonet, she tends to dress in a fashion that touts her youth and beauty, not focusing on Sexualizing her body, while not forcing the idea of complete innocence either. Light, Airy Fabrics are commonly found in her Dressing room, clouds of Tulle and silk with spun golden thread holding them together to form a gently weightless attire for her figure to hold up.
In public, meeting fans or while travelling, she prefers to dress more simply, with gentle tunics and breeches, clothing that one would expect to see more on a Travelling merchant than anything. This is wonderful, however, considering her body's more Fragile nature and how little she actually gets to interact with the Public, giving her a way to hide in plain sight.
The bodyguards, however nullify that.
Personality:
Locila is one of those people. You know. she's all Bubbles, Sunshine smiles and cotton candy, so sickly sweet that her smile will give you a Toothache and you should probably go see your Orthodontist when you're done talking with her. At least on stage, during interviews and when she's taking a moment to bless the public with a glimpse and maybe, if they're lucky, a blown kiss or two.
Privately, however, Locila has been known to be Catty, demanding and Petulant, to say the least. She's a Star, she's amazing, and honey? She KNOWS it. She's called off a concert before, because the Clouds weren't right and shadowed the stage a little too much for her tastes, because her water wasn't chilled enough. She's had her Cadre of Teenage Star 'friends' carried off, just because one had the nerve to compare her in a dim way, to another -older- socialite. The next day, she had a new following, a new crowd, all fawning over her, complimenting her perfection and stroking her ego.

Bio:
Renowned throughout the Galaxy for their Beauty, the Ghostling people of Datar are an Ethereal race with glowing Tan skin and Green hair. Prized among the wealthy without qualms as Slaves and pets, their easily-damaged bodies mean that few grow to adulthood off of Datar's surface, where they manage to eke out an existence. This is the Story of Locila Angela Mer, A Ghostling who saw a chance, took it, and rose above all the rest of her people, becoming as powerful as the Richest Moguls and Tycoons, and as powerful as some Sovereigns.
Datar is one of those planets, covered in smatterings of Deep, murky Forest, interspersed with clearings and the occasional meadow, housing a few harmless herbivores. In truth, the only creatures on the planet that are known to eat meat as a large staple of their diet, unlike the Plentiful scavengers, are the Ghostlings who live in small groups, bigger than a clan, smaller than a Village.
For these simple people, it is normally enough that they be allowed to live in peace. They don't need any special technology, knives cut food and vines to make bedding all the same. Clothing is easily woven from Fibers and stitched from furs. Yet, among those calm, simple people, some desire more. A chance to see the stars above them, to travel the Galaxy and see the many species that exist, instead of fleeing from them when they landed to capture two or three of their people.
For Da'sha and Korlee, teenage lovers without a care in the world, this was the dream. To see the world without the collars and chains of slavery or petdom. The problem...was how. How to escape the droll life of Gathering, trapping dumb herd beasts and living in the trees. Korlee dreamed of Fancy clothes and fine foods, while her Lover dreamed of more. A Permanent house, someplace high in the sky, where he could watch the world go by. A Sense of Fame, for Looking into his Lover's eyes, he could see his own beauty reflected. They were a lovely people, and he felt a need to share their beauty with others.
Well, For two dreamers, no price can be to great. The risks, however, can be. It was soon enough that Korlee found herself pregnant, and the plans they had made either trash, or immediate. Da'sha decided on the Immediate. One cool day, when the Slavers landed, the Two Ghostlings met them, food and gifts presented, as well as an offer. They would trade their entire Tribe to the Slavers, in exchange for passage offplanet and to someplace more...breathtaking.
Greed is what it is, and soon, with the exception of two, immensely happy lovers, free from guilt or worry, thanks to the assurances of the Slavers, the entire tribe was taken, cuffed and collared, treated with kid gloves, for their delicate bodies were unable to take too much abuse. The cost was great, but soon, the expecting couple were deposited without any further ado, on the Surface of Coruscant. Far from the Space-age spaceports and the Glittering Glass of the highrise buildings. No, they lived on the bottom rung of Society, in the depths of the actual city they now called home.
Several months after the move from Datar to Coruscant, the time had come, and under careful supervision at a Local Hospital, Korlee gave birth to a mostly-healthy daughter. The only issue, truly, was her size and how brittle she was, like all Ghostlings, but younger and more vulnerable. As such, some time in an Isolation Chamber was required by the Hospital, but once that time had passed without incident, she was released into the Care of her Parents.
From the beginning, she was a Demanding baby, Drinking in attention and flashing winningly-cute dimples in the direction of anyone and everyone around. She was simply the most adorable thing ever seen by many of the Coruscanti locals, especially considering how rare it was to see a Ghostling off of Datar or not in chains, not even mentioning a Baby Ghostling. Of course, with such an unnaturally beautiful baby, rumors flew, and word spread quickly through the neighborhood that Korlee was going to get her beautiful baby into commercials. For weeks after that, even though the rumor was completely unfounded, Locila's parents were subject to well-wishes and hope that their neighbors would be remembered when they were as rich as sin itself.
Now, for all of Korlee's desirous planning to leave Datar, she'd never considered the idea of using her child to rocket her social status higher and higher here in this free world of Consumerism and covetous lust. However, once the seed was planted in her mind, it grew, as virulent as a weed in a well-tended garden. So the Ghostling woman, petite and cute herself, although it was apparent that she was a mother, if only from the wear on her cheeks, dressed her daughter in the finest little clothes that she had, and while Da'sha was at work, took public transportation to the nearest advertising company.
Some things in life are a matter of timing. No matter how beautiful a woman is, if she's not needed for a Commercial, then she's not going to find work, or so it seems. Korlee had no such troubles. From the moment that she brought her daughter into the Waiting room at CoruAd, a small advertising agency, two things were clear. First, the business wasn't doing too well, and Second, everyone, from the receptionist, to the low-level Assistant who was sent to see them.
Things started going places from there, especially after Korlee explained to the man that she thought her daughter might be good for Commercials, being such a Cherubic infant. For her part, Locila was all smiles, dimples, glowing skin and short, curly hair. Realizing what an opportunity this was, the Assistant called higher, one of his managers, so on, so forth, until finally the Creative Director and the Agency Account Coordinator had crammed themselves into the room, smiles crossing their faces from the moment that they saw the girl's shimmering visage.
Locila, before she'd even taken her first step, had just lept into one of the hardest lives to get into, that of 'Talent.'
With that first hurdle out of the way, Locila was introduced first, into the basic life of advertisment. Infant, and as she aged, toddler Hygenic supplies. Specially Formulated foods and Medicines, Clothing, oh so much clothing she did, in fact, model. The best part, for her family, of course, were the free things they got, as every piece of clothing that touched Locila's body became hers. If cash was strapped, they could sell some of the nicer things, but as the infant grew older, slimming down some of the baby fat as she started to take her first steps, her rising recognition in the Advertising market brought her bigger and bigger contracts. Everyone at CoruAd was on Cloud Nine, and the company flourished as the people who produced things came, more and more of them, to the company for advertising. For one such ad, they even used Korlee, ending in a spiffy check for Locila's mother, and a Fancy dinner for Da'sha when he got home.
For Da'sha's part in this, he still worked, making less than his daughter was making, but...not willing to ride soully on her fame. Working her way up, without even knowing what was going on, other than the fact that she was able to soak in attention nearly all the time now, Locila moved from Holonet Still-Frame advertising to, as she aged and learned to speak, her hair hanging down and framing that perfectly angelic face, actually appearing in Holoads for various things, CoruAd growing larger and larger the entire time as their business boomed with clients.
It was during this time that Korlee and Da'sha were approached, one of the Executives from CoruAd had been saving money, and was going to produce an Episodic, Serialized broadcast, a situational comedy about daily life in the galaxy, and one of the parts, he'd ensured, would be written especially for Locila. Of course, this would mean even more income, a steadier flow of it, not to mention, larger advertising contracts. Imagine, if she were the young star of a broadcast, and supported a product, how many young people would want it, demand it, have it bought for them. The credits were, at this point, spinning around in Korlee's eyes. A House, their own private Aircar. Her and Da'sha's lives would be that much simpler, they could spend that much more time together, and with their picture perfect Daughter.
The contracts were signed in less than 48 hours, and within a few months, shooting of the series had begun. The cast certainly wasn't a group of A-listers, but they did their jobs remarkably, and as expected, Locila stole the show, her burbled words and cute expressions coming through the Cameras perfectly, rocketing the show from pilot to an eventual three seasons with stunning growth in both viewership, and revenue from product placement. However, all good things eventually come to an end, and as the Show wrapped up, Locila had grown, and was being instructed by private tutors, rather than attending school, and her parents had moved. From a basic apartment in the lower levels of Coruscant, into one of the towering skyscrapers that made the Citywide planet something amazing, the view was stunning, and Locila was immersed in the trappings of wealth and power.
Soon after the Show ended, Locila's agent, a tall human from Corellia by the name of Drax, was approached by another production team, this one for a movie that was set to start shooting soon. There was a role in it, Locila would fit it perfectly. The Pay was staggering in the first offer, and yet, Drax, a crafty and cunning man, was able to negotiate it even higher. The time had come to prepare for her next role in life, that of the child movie star.
Voice coaches, Music instructors, Dance lessons and acting coaches all converged on Locila's life. Hired by, paid for and working with the Production company, Yensid Incorporated, all to prepare Locila for her Big-Holo debut. The training filled her day, but it was attention, so much delicious attention, and like a Nexu kit with a Bucket of mother's milk, she drank it all in. The movie, when it was released, was a Classic tale of a Normal girl, discovering she was Royalty of a small planet, with rousing musical numbers and all sorts of misadventures, finishing, of course, with a happy ending. It was a box-office success, which was essentially guaranteed, considering who produced the movie. Either way, it was just one more step into stardom, into the heavenly world of fame, for the Still-young girl.
