Planet Name: Darkovia
Planet Type: Barren, Covered with vast landscapes of rocky and treacherous terrain, with a massive northern polar ice cap.
Habitable: Yes
System: Vjun System (Only a couple thousand parsecs away from Vjun)
Terrain Overview: Darkovia is a barren wasteland, a green/gray rocky landscape in the south and near the equator, and a massive barren ice sheet in the north, only the rocky landscape bearing any vegetation.

Link of Doom!
Notable Geographic Features:
Ice Cap/North Pole: In the far north there lies a massive ice glacier, remnants of what was a massive ocean before the planet faced total darkness, now it stands out as the only sign that there was life on this rock.
Equator: The only spot on the planet that has vegetation, small cactus like plants gain their nutrients deep from within the planet, where some pockets of water remain. It is also where the planet’s predators and prey live, the plant eating reptilian Vegarn, and the vicious flesh eating reptilian Darkosaun.
South Pole: This is the most inhospitable place on the entire planet, receiving no light during the entire 750 day year. It supports no planet life, just barren and sub zero mountains and canyons.
Capital Settlements:
Major Settlements:
Sentient species: Vegran, Darkosaun, Unknown Reptilian Carnivore (The one that destroyed Alpha-Utani)
Non-Sentient species of note: Humans, Twi’leks, Rodians, Etc.
History: Darkovia was formed about 12,000,000 Years ago, during when many asteroids randomly collided with eachother, forming many large planetoids. One of the planetoids drifted too close to a star, was caught in it’s gravitational pull, and not long after that (about 2,000,000 years ago) small microbacterial life forms started to evolve. Along with this a primitive atmosphere started to form, keeping the star’s rays from destroying the small life forms, allowing nature to start terraforming.
Hundreds of Thousands of years passed, and the planet changed, the bacteria evolved, transforming into a primitive form of plantlife, while others began to evolve into more complicated creature, which absorbed nutrients from the plants. Millions of years passed, and the atmosphere was fully evolved, allowing the bacteria to rise to it’s full potential. Massive forests flourished, seas rose, mountains were thrust up from the tectonic plates slamming against eachother. Everything was going as smoothly as anything in nature could go, until something happened.
About 7,000,000 years after it’s formation, and about 2.5,000,000 years after many asteroids and comets collided with themselves to form a belt around the planet, massive cataclysmic events started to take place on the surface. Newly created volcanos exploded, covering the atmosphere in a harsh thick cloud, smothering the plant life, thus killing most of the native creatures. Massive earthquakes ripped the surface apart, erecting massive mountains and carving enormous fissures. The electromagnetic field keeping the atmosphere together failed, causing the star’s deadly rays to break through, almost destroying anything that survived, except for the creatures who dwelled within the cave system.
Darkovia became a dead world then, and the star that supplied it with life started to die as well, and after a few more millions of years, it went supernova, sending the planet hurtling away with it’s orbit destroyed. The only surviving sea instantly froze in the cold vacuum of space, forever a grim reminder of this planet’s former glory. As is drifted, it’s gravitational field started to heal, but it would take a long time for it to recover. When it did recover, it was caught in the outer gravitational pull of a nearby star, causing it’s years to go even longer than before. As it orbited, asteroids from a nearby asteroid belt slowly started to orbit around it, and after thousands of years, a thin ring belt formed around it, with larger asteroids floating not far off. Life returned, but in smaller quantities that before, and with new creatures.
A small fleet of merchant vessels happened upon the barren planet, most of them never living to tell the tale of it, but a small few managed to trek across it's surface, and survive. Rumors spread of the merchants story of a barren world filled with danger, and it soon drew many hungry eyes, bringing forth the XIII Corporation, who settled down on the planet first, slowly (but surely) constructing a massive base of operations in the sector. First was Alpha-Utani, but after the mysterious (and sudden) dissapearance of the scientists there, they quickly spawned Beta-Utani, which led way to Centron-Hub, a massive subterranian station where the XIII Corporation's crack team of scientists work on some of their most secret projects.

Capital Settlements:
Centron Hub: A massive multi network subterranian laboratory, where dozens of scientists work vigorously to uncover the planet's secrets lying deep within the honeycombed caverns beneath the planet's crust.
Darkovian Drydocks: the XIII Corporation's secret drydocks, the drydock uses mining droids to mine the ore and metal from the nearby asteroid ring around the planet, and the nearby planetoids. Metal and ore is also shipped offworld to the station, the station primarily builds Thanatos Class dreadnaughts for the Corporation, and for the Sith Empire.
Major Settlements:
Alpha-Utani: Destroyed 2 Standard Years ago by an unknown entity, Centron Hub left the area alone, and continued to work farther north. All that remains are the ruins of the buildings, and the skeletons of the deceased.
Beta-Utani: Positioned between the south pole and the Equator, used to research into the natural rock formations of the planet, they’ve also discovered a large cave system that honeycombs the planet, but had not delved into it.
