Planet Name: Undos
Planet Type: Rocky terrain, high mineral concentration, sparse vegetation.
Habitable: Yes.
System: Wild Space, Ugna’riss system. Undos is the fourth planet orbiting a dim star known as Ugna’riss.
Terrain Overview: Undos has a very rocky terrain with high mountains, vast valleys, and plenty of deep canyons. The world resembles a rocky savannah with mountainous horizons and deep lakes. Given the dimness of Ugna’riss, it’s sun, daytime is more of a twilight. High quantities of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere cause a green-house effect beneficial for the planet’s temperature, making it rather temperate all around. There is barely any grass on Undos, and trees are sporadic, usually in the form of a trunk-bearing weed.
Notable Geographic Features: The Dugnari mountain range stretches for hundreds of miles, bearing the highest peak of Undos: Mount Voladariss. The deepest point is the bottom of Lake Unagnari, said to be well over twenty miles deep [the lake being the closest thing to an ocean in Undos].
Capital City: Gnovadass is the capital city, being at the foot of Mount Voladariss. The city is carved out of the mountain side, bearing many houses and a large temple which is the seat of the Gnovari High Magistrate.
Major cities: Dy’nass sits at the edge of Lake Unagnari. Dy’nass is the focus point of food production for the Gnovari civilization. Fishing and hunting is their only food source. The lake offers plenty of fish, and the valley surrounding it offers plenty of game.
Rurugni: Sitting at the edge of the largest canyon in Undos, Rurugni is an industrial city. Here the Gnovari mine the metals used for their ships. Said ships are built in the Rurugni shipyard, which sits at the edge of the canyon.
Sentient species: Gnovari
Non-Sentient species of note: Iru: the main food source of the Gnovari. Iru are large stag-like beings that reproduce rather rapidly. Iru are hervibores, though at times they have been known to feed off sediment on the mineral-rich soil of Undos.
Dae: A large type of fish that lives solely in Lake Unagnari. Dae are seen as the Gnovari equivalent of water-based creatures. The Gnovari have a deep respect for them, yet at the same time thoroughly enjoy hunting these whale-sized fish. It is common for Gnovari fishing parties to die while hunting the Dae.
History: Undos was once teeming with life. From the beginning the Gnovari and the Qui-gnoh were the leading races, followed closely by the Iriga, the Duno, and the Vissug. The Gnovari and the Qui-gnoh were in a struggle from the beginning. In the end the Gnovari were victorious with their insatiable desire to be the only sentient race in Undos.
By then the Iriga, Duno, and Vissug had become sentient, building their own civilizations. Having annihilated the Qui-gnoh, the Gnovari turned their attention to the other sentient races, continuing their campaign of genocide. In time the Gnovari were victorious.
Ever since the Gnovari have been the only sentient race in Undos. Their civilization evolved from tribes to city-states, and eventually they took to the stars in rudimentary scout ships. In modern times the Gnovari had continued to evolve their culture, beginning trade with other civilizations. Even as the Gnovari sought to increase their civilization they have strayed from taking any technological route that would severely harm Undos.
