Sirius walked up to the railing of the courtyard. Leaning on the guard, the padawan looked out over the expanse of Coruscant. The city was low and flat up to the mountains, and the formations of rock just seemed to shoot up from no where. As if the planet has a disfigurment. But in all reality, the mountains were probably the most beautiful thing on the planet.
Besides Lana.
Sirius cursed inwardly at himself. The padawan was having an internal battle. The war waged over his feelings, and the course of action he should take. It was wrong for a Jedi to feel that way, especially about another Jedi. Those emotions could lead to the darkside. But he couldn't deny his feelings for Lana, and they weren't about to go away soon.
Lana mentioned that the mountains were beautiful, and Sirius nodded in agreement. He enjoyed coming up to this courtyard. It wasn't well known, so not many Jedi frequented it. Sirius often came up here to meditate, to think, or to just be alone. He never brought anyone with him. But it was nice to share with someone, and he was glad that was Lana.
“Glad you like 'em.”
The Echani moved to stand next to him. For awhile, the two of them just stared at the Manari Mountains in silence, uninterrupted. Sirius found it somewhat comfortable, not awkward like before. The mountains made everything seem to melt away. Only the things that truly mattered were able to be in their presence.
Sirius slid his hand down and took Lana's in his own. Her white hand was warm in his cybernetic limb. He wanted to be with her, despite the Code. If she was willing, they could make it work. For awhile they just stood there with each other, not saying a word.
