Planet Name: Runic
Planet Type: Terrestrial, Habitable
Habitable: Yes
System: Runic System, Outer Rim, Neighboring Genosis
Terrain Overview: Lush, lots of nature and vegetation. The animals that inhabit each region are often huge, some as tall as ten stories. It's very much like Earth, only everything seems to be...bigger.
Notable Geographic Features: Huge mountains, wide and deep lakes and oceans.
Capital City: New Tevelon. While most of what any Runic would call the 'Lower Class' live in Old Tevelon, the people in New Tevelon live in a sprawling city unlike the rest of the world. It's here that the the various scientists and researchers develop and test any new technology they come up with. Wile New Tevelon was declared the capital thousands upon thousands of years ago, most believe it's in name only.
Major cities: Old Tevelon, Numbered One through Fifty-Six. Usually just called by their numbers. Each city is large, sprawling yet tightly packed together. Crime exists but doesn't run rampant as people usually work together towards common goals. Most cities look as such in the pictured below, often either on rolling plains or rocky mountains. Any family can move from one city to another, though most choose to stay where they're at unless an event is happening at a Capital City.
Temple Raiza, the place most on Runic believe to be the actual Capital City. Since a large portion of the world believes in strength of body, Temple Raiza is where one goes for two reasons; if someone was found to be Force Sensitive they are obligated to train at Temple Raiza in an effort to become part of the Queen Mother's Falcon Guard. While there are a large portion of Force Sensitive men and women in Temple Raiza, no one knows how exactly to measure their skill. So those that display any sort of Force Power train right alongside those that come to Temple Raiza for the other reason; to compete in battle and be apart of the Runic Nation Army.
Sentient Species: Runics. Biologically much like Humans, only much larger with almost none of the species being under six feet tall.
Non-Sentient species of note: Livvenders, a gigantic animal that looks very much like a large dog. It has two huge horns that jut out of it's forehead and a sweeping tail that extends about twenty feet. Few get to be it's full grown size, but when they mature they can be as tall as small buildings and just as wide.
History: No one knows exactly when Runic was found, and know one knows by who. There are stories that are told by everyone, and those that research and keep the official records haven't been able to find out much about their own past, due to regular invasion from an unknown enemy and wipes to the aged computers that were active at the time. However, it was a woman that stepped up and united the Runics that were scattered over the world and set about shaping the world in her image.
Runic has no set government, and each Numbered City can and does govern their own people in any way they see fit. They have officials that report to the Queen Mother in Temple Raiza once a month, and if deemed worthy to continue their duties are allowed to go back. If not, they are forced to 'train' in Temple Raiza until the Queen Mother herself decides he or she is worthy of going back to their home city and leading their people again. Each Queen Mother rules until she dies, and another is chosen by feats of strength as well as a small tournament. Even as such, the winner is not always given the crown as the people of Runic need to trust and love their Queen. The only time the world gathers together is to watch the tournament, and give their approval or disapproval for the winner of the tournament.
Runic stayed mostly off the map of other planets and galaxies until only a few years prior, when a wayward Jedi landed on their planet. He was treated with general kindness and respect, and in turn the Jedi was intrigued by not only their oddly peaceful yet war-like culture, but also in how they trained and used The Force to train their bodies, up to the point where an elder could actually touch a lightsaber with her bare hands and not have it be cut or burned.
Since then, Runic and The Jedi Council have enjoyed a mutual respect and trade, with little conflict arising.
