Resaat was left with his parents up until he was six months of age before he was taken to the Jedi Temple. There he was taken care of by droids and other Jedis on his way to becoming a youngling.
At the age of about two, he started to show signs of abilities. Being able to catch a toy if he dropped it before it hit the ground. This pleased the Jedi that were tasked to watch over Resaat. About this time he was started to show signs of the personality he would have. All the other younglings in the daycare would somehow gravitate toward the Togruta. There was one in particular that stood out, a Twi'lek named Onog'rand. The boys would spend hours chasing each other, sitting playing with the toy banthas and rancors.
By his fourth birthday Resaats studies started coming pretty naturally to him, he excelled in most of his studies. He particular enjoyed the history of the galaxy. He loved listening to the stories that the Masters would tell them about the battles and the Jedi Knights and Masters that came before them. His least favorite was math, though he still did exceptionally well in it. While he and one other Togruta were taken around the same time. He and the female asked a Togruta Master if he could teach them there native language. It was in no time that the two youngling were able to hold a simple conversion. It was time for Resaat to truly start his road on becoming a Padawan. He was assigned to the same class as his friend Onog'rand, he and Ono would be pretty much inseparable. They did everything together, if you saw Resaat you saw Ono not too far behind. But as the years moved on, it was becoming apparent what he excelled in more. As his classes got more advanced, Resaat found that history and mechanics was becoming easy for him. Though he would still be in the Hall of Archives for hours on end studying all he could about the lore of the Jedi. He spent most of his time focusing on the Togruta Jedi. Learning all he could about his species, one thing he wasn't pleased about was that most of the males of his race had longer head-tails than he did. He ask one of his teachers, she assured him that all being are created uniquely.
From the ages ten to twelve, Resaat flew past most of his classmates. The Masters saw potential in him, and he was always helping the younglings that were struggling. Though everytime he would offer his former friend a hand, Ono would ignore and get help from someone else. As the days were approaching that all youngling look forward to. The day they get paired with a Master, Resaat wasn't worried about not getting a Master. He was more worried about his friend, the Togruta wanted to patch things up with Ono before they left. It was unknown when the next time they would see each other. One day Resaat was walking through the Archives with a group of friends and spotted Ono. He broke away from the group and talked about what was troubling him. Though it was unknown to Resaat that Ono had become jealous of Resaat Taa. Jedi Temple: Hall of Archives
Resaat was strolling through the Hall of Archives after helping some of his friends with their studies. As they walked along he chatted with a fellow Togruta in their native language. The Archives were always quiet but on this day they were especially quiet. The group rounded a corner and Taa spotted his friend Onog'rand. Ono was sitting there reading one of books playing with his brilliant blue lukku.
Resaat wanted to see if they could clear the air before they were assigned to Masters. Reading about the Jedi in the Archives, he noticed that they would sometimes not see their friends for years. He didn't want to leave on bad terms, dismissing himself from the group he worked his way over to the Twi'lek. Standing knowing that Ono knew he was there.
"Resaat what have you come here for" The blue Twi'lek said not looking up from the book. Resaat stood pondering the words that would make the moment right. "Ono, have I done anything to upset you? We have been like brothers for ten years."The youngling said adjusting his tunic slightly.
Ono slowly closed the book and stood, peering into the eyes of Resaat. Taa being about a half a foot shorter then his blue frienda he had to slightly tilt his head up. The two just looked at each other for what seemed to be forever, though in reality it was only mere moments. Ono gathered up the book and pushed by the Togruta Youngling and made his way out. Resaat stood there puzzled for a few moments, after that he would see Onog'rand for years.
