Bafili is certainly no spring chicken but he could still be considered an attractive older man. His skin is as smooth as ever, with no visible wrinkles, unless he frowns when three deep lines appear on his forehead. He has a medium complexion, not light or dark. He is a good height and well muscled due to years of hard physical training. He has light grey eyes that bleed intelligence and a youthful curiosity. His hair is medium length and wavy. It was once a deep brown but it is now mostly grey, though some streaks of brown still cling onto life, especially around the temples. His nose is long and broad but fits just right on his face.
His beard covers his chin wraps around his lips and under his His beard has lost most of it's brown colour but there is still a decent amount of it left. Unlike most of the Jedi Bafili wears Grey robes. These robes have the symbols of Ansata. He is proud of being a Jedi and he holds himself high at all times. His back is always straight, his posture is excellent, and his broad shoulders are always spread wide.
Most of the time Master Urope will be found with a smile on his face. There are a few exceptions; but there few and far between. From his left shoulder to the small of his back is a large scar that he was given during his padawan years.
Personality:
Bafili is one of the most knowledgeable of the Jedi. He has spent years in the Archives and delved into almost every imaginable subject from the Politics of Naboo to the most esoteric uses of the Force. There is little more that Master Urope values more than knowledge, to the point where he sees it as sacred. He is exceptionally defensive of the Archives and it annoys him when people speak to loudly, make a mess or generally show disrespect. Bafili has published a number of works on a range of subjects, his favourite area of (publishable) study being Zoology and to a lesser extent History, but he is never happier than when he is delving into and studying the Force. He has come across brilliant things in his studies, many he would never dare trying, including information on the Dark Side. However that is where Bafili's usually insatiable curiosity ends. He is well aware of the dangers that the Dark Side holds for even the most wise of Jedi and he stears far clear of it.
Bafili never considered becoming a Guardian or even a Sentinel. His love of studying the force and his abilities as a Diplomat made Consular the natural route. Bafili doesn't leave Courscant as much as he used to but he still goes on Diplomatic missions when his fellow Councilors think it is wise. Bafili loves the Order and the Republic and would gladly die to protect either of them. But he does not go looking for trouble and near-death experiences like some of the younger Jedi.
The Human Jedi makes attachments far easier than a Jedi should. His list of friends is as long as his arm and he is generally trusting and kind hearted. He wants to see the best in people, in the Galaxy, and some see him as a little naive. People take advantage of this and it is perhaps the only way he can be manipulated. He takes a great interest in the well being of the Younglings at the temple. Especially their emotional well being. It is common for him to be seen consoling a young member of the Order. He is a good judge of a character and situation and he gives excellent advice. Well most of the time.
Bafili is confident in his abilities but not prideful or arrogant. In fact his confidence in his abilities is tempered by his keen understanding of his limitations. If he feels he is unable to do something he has no problem saying it infront of the entire council. He knows everyone has their own set of strength and weaknesses and he is no different.
Bafili is outgoing and will strike up a conversation with anyone about almost anything. When the situation is appropriate he will happily make a joke or two. And he can be rather playful, even childish, among the younger Jedi. However when the time calls for it, in battle or discussing matters with the Council, Bafili is controlled and acts appropriately. Usually he is in the Archives so he is often helping other Jedi, Younglings, Padawans, Knights and even Masters find what they are looking for. When coming to a decision Bafili likes to take his time, and usually meditate on it. He is rarely impulsive or brash and lets the force guide him in his decision making.
Bafili loves animals of all shapes and sizes and they are one of his favourite areas of study. He doesn't have a pet but he has often wished he did. When on Planets, and there is no rush or danger, he will try and examine the local fauna. He is a vegetarian on morale grounds; but would never judge another for eating meat.
He absolutely hates violence and war and believes everything possible should be done before resorting to it. With the recent secession of the Sith Empire he feels that a diplomatic solution is needed. He loves the Republic but he loves democracy more. In his mind, if the majority of the population within the Sith Empire wanted to, they should let the Empire remain separate.
He is always willing to help someone. Whether that be with the force, his lightsaber or simply helping them navigate the labyrinth that is the Archives. He hates it when people judge someone without getting to know them, something he would never do, and he hates humanocentrisim. Bafili is very polite and even charming. He sees no reason to be any other way, unless someone has done something against you. It is rather well known that he dislikes flying. He is generally fine if he is not in the cockpit, but even then he'd far prefer to be safe on the ground.
When ever it is possible he likes things to be clean, neat and tidy. He won't freak out about it but it is always preferable. It helps him focus. He can be side tracked if he gets into a discussion with someone. Instead of a brief explanation he could go on until he is stopped, or until he comes to a natural conclusion. When he does that he can easily loose track of time. He can also start talking about one thing and absentmindedly begin to talk about another thing that is, in his mind at least, related to the previous subject. He knows this can be annoying and if someone points it out he takes no offence. .

''My Master and I were able to fend them off, blaster bolts flying in every direction, pew pew. We deflected the bolts right back at the droids and they fell as soon as the blasts hit them. I was only 17...no 18 actually and I was exhausted by the time we got to the Prime Minister's office and rescued him. After that little...hiccup my Master and I were able to continue with our original mission.'' Master Urope was sitting on the red carpet of the Rotunda. The centre room of the Jedi Archives of which he was in charge. Infront of him sat a dozen or so younglings listening intently to his stories. There were six boys and six girls, which was by chance and not design, the youngest was five and the oldest about 9. Five of the younglings were Humans, though not two were from the same planet, while the others came from a variety of races. There was a Rodian, a Twi'lek, Trandoshan, Cerean and three Togruta.
''Was the mission successful Master?'' Asked one of the Human girls.
''Indeed Cattia. My Master and I were able to come to a mutually beneficial agreement with the two parties and resolve the diplomatic incident without anymore bloodshed....well without any bloodshed really. Afterall droids don't actually bleed. Oil-shed maybe?'' Master Urope stopped. He knew he could go off topic. He smiled at the younglings. He loved speaking with them. He always found the mind of a child so intriguing. Bafili also enjoyed nurturing the next generation.
''So you see,'' Bafili said as he finally got to the point of the story, ''even the seemingly simplest mission can turn into a dangerous one in seconds. As Jedi you will have to accept this fact and be ready, at any moment, to adjust.''
