People were steering clear of Siala Elrad's work room. Word continued to spread like wildfire about Siala being unhinged. “HAH!” she thought to herself. What did they matter anyway she had all the friends she needed here, especially AS-4S. The sightless inactive eyes stared down on the manic white haired girl as she seemed intent on wearing out the floor. A conference was taking place, and the problem was that Siala did not seem to realise she was the only member. “I know your worried AS, but it is fine. I can look after myself.” The Droid head remained as silent as it had done since the day it was parted from its shoulders. However, some where in Siala's head she heard an answer. “Of course it is dangerous, fighting an occupation force is always dangerous besides Clive will protect me won't you Clive?”
She looked up bright faced to a space on the shelf, where a small 66 Flaz Blaster pistol sat. “See I told you he would! I know he is not the brightest but he will protect me.” She reached up and gave the gun and affectionate pat. The room was fairly small and made too look even smaller due to the parts and datapads strewn everywhere. To the side of the shut door was a hook. On the hook hung an oversized coat in a variety of garish colours and a stupidly long patterned scarf. In the far corner was a simple bed festooned with datapads, technical drawings covered with her childish scrawl. Next to the bed was a small cabinet filled with tools, and unlike the rest of the room it was faultlessly tidy. All the tools were shiny and clean, from the largest Arc welder and Hydro-spanner, to the smallest bolt. Each had been placed painstakingly in the correct place. Small labels denoted names, like 'Liran', 'Kodo', and 'Adiara'.
Siala leapt into her chair and knelt in it and reached up for AS-4S. “I have to do this I owe them a great deal, they saved my life and yours to.” She winked at the head and placed a soft kiss on it's slightly dented surface. “Your so considerate and kind, I dunno what I would do with out you.” She suddenly looked round the room and raised her voice “All of you. Without you I would probably go mad.” She patted the head affectionately and placed it back on its shelf. “Now lets hear no more about it. I have a droid I need to see to today so I want to finish treating my other patients.” She picked up a comlink lying on her desk, the back panel was open and she reached across for a small hydro-spanner. “Right to work Adiara.”
She hummed softly to herself as she adjusted the circuitry carefully. “The Droid, Clive?” she said her head suddenly snapping up. “Oh I have not met him yet, apparently he worked on Dutch's farm.” She put down the comlink again “No no, I am sure we shall be great friends.” She giggled quietly “Yes GREAT friends”. The room went silent.
