Name:Eric Dushall
Race: Human
Age: 22
Height: 5'11
Weight:165lbs
Appearance:
Short brown hair with three cawlik's in his hair, 1 in front and 2 in the back. This makes for his hair to be a little unruly and never subcomb to the authority of a comb. He has a decent size forehead that leads to thin but thick eyebrows. His eye's are hazel and change color from blue to green depending on what he wears. His nose is wide but not as wide as most. This follows to his lips that are curved but thin. His natural look makes it appear that he is actually smiling. Overall his face is very expressionistic and when he is just looking normal makes him a very pleasant sight and a very easy person to approach. According to Corellian standards his looks rival that of even Prince Solo.
His body is of a muscular build. Looking at him in robes noone would think much of him but once removed his body is a work of art. He has what he believes is the best proportion of strength and agility. Due to his rigoruos personal workout his body is in the best of shape. It was one of the few things that made him feel like he was no better then any normal person.
He has several scars across his body. He has scars from blaster bolts that streak across his calfs and sides. Across his back he has several burn scars from when he was tortured. Every scar could have been repaired with medical technology and made invisible but he always opted out of the normal procedures prefering instead to wear them as a memory of the personal trails he had been through. Each scar was a rememberance of what he was suppose to do and the personal sacrifice it took to complete his missions.
His clothes where not standard compared to most other Jedi. He was a Corellian Jedi and his clothes reflected that. He wore the emerald sleeve tunic and emerald robe. He is not usually seen outside of his robes by others and prefer to wear them on most occasions. However when the mission requires it he does have other outfits of clothes he can wear. When not in his robes he is often seen in a brown set of slacks with a tan shirt and a brown leather jacket. He may wear his blaster belt, although he prefers not to use the weapon he does know how to weild it if he must.
Personality:
At first Eric is a little intimidating. His face is harder and more stern then the most veteran of military officers. But what is hidden behind this wall is only privy to a few others. To those that get to know him, who are few in number, they will find a man who cares about others more then himself. A man that would throw himself on a thermal grenade if the if it was required to save the lives of those around him. His determination to succeed has carried him through each mission. His will, to him, is just as powerful a weapon as his lightsaber.
He has faced his darkness in his weakest moments and still pushed through his dedication to the light side of the force. To always do the right thing and make the right decisions. His darkest moment came when he lost his master. This loss almost broke him but in his meditation he was able to pull himself back before he faced the High Council.
Towards other Jedi he remains strictly buisness and to the point. He has very few friends and actually prefers it that way, especially after the loss of his Master. He was always a loner at heart and felt happier to be by himself with his own thoughts and his lightsaber honing his skills. He found it ackward to speak to other people on a personal manner. If he was in a conversation with another and the subject broached over to personal matters he would have to excuse himself before he became flustered.

Bio:
0-6 yrs
Eric was born in 3623 BBY in the minning town of Kolene located on Corellia. He was born into Corellian nobility, being the firstborn son of Duke Travian Dushall and Duchess Bellera Dushall. His parents owned and operated many different companies. Primary among them was a mining and shipping corporation. Their Duchy encompassed the entire city plus the surrounding countryside. When he was born it was discovered that their child was force sensitive. His parents, so happy to finally have a child, showered him with all the love and attention that a baby could need and refused the Jedi Knights when they came. Eventually they noticed that their son had certain abilities. He would often be able to move faster then other children his own age and learned at a excellerated rate. It wasn't long untill the Jedi visited them again and asked to take Eric to the Temple on Coruscant. They refused their offer and continued to raise their child on their own.
It wasn't long until their attentions to Eric turned into spoiling. Quickly becoming a snob his parents knew they had done something wrong. They noticed that when his tempers flared he had the ability to move objects around him and when they thought they couldn't control their son the Jedi again came to the door and offered to take their child to study with the Jedi. Reluctantly they accepted. It was hard for them to give up their only child. They understood what being a Jedi meant and the sacrifices it would cost but they also had a duty to the Corellian way of life. They would only hope that they would one day see their son again. So the Jedi took their son to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to train as a youngling.
6-13 yrs
His first year in the Temple was the most influencial. This was the year where he was introduced to his clanmates and had to adapt. Initially he was smaller in stature then his fellow younglings he was quickly picked as a target by the larger students. The once spoiled student became angry at his classmates and focused on his training. He took their bullying and held it inside. Near the end of his first year his anger turned to determination. It was this determination, to be the best through hard work, that forged him into one of the hardest training younglings in the Academy. He would seclude himself in his room focusing on his studies in his free time and vary rarely spoke to others in his classes. This gained him the nickname of the "Outcast".
The next three years of his Temple life showed a slight change in his attitude towards others in his class. He started to gather a group of friends. One in particular was Vela Solana. She was a young Twi'lek girl of the same age as him. Her kindness towards him, despite his small stature and personality differences, was the thing that attracted him to her. He felt that she was different then the others and had a true sense of kindness about her. They were often seen around the academy together going over their class notes and helping each other to study. It was also during this time that he began his attempts to overcome the bullying by responding with pyshical actions. This brought the attention of his instructors along with a couple of reprimands that would tarnish his record. It was also during these years that he started to show real promise in control of the force, although his understanding needed a little work.
The last three years of his time at the Temple would be the ones that really defined him. He started to grow taller and his true skills were discovered in the area of lightsaber combat. It was when he was dueling was when he felt like he was truly at peace. In this area he gained the respect of his other clan mates most in particular, Jaresh Kulpar. Jaresh was the student that picked on him from day one. He was a large orphaned human that the Jedi had found just before his 6th birthday. He felt that Erics size was a joke every day. It was in their first lightsaber duel that he defeated Jaresh and it was from that moment they forged a strong friendship. Once respect was earned he had no reason to be angry. He was able to truly see who he was in the force and made a commitment to give himself over to it completely. When it came time for the graduation test he passed with flying colors above everyone else in his clan. Although he was at the top of his clan at this time his previous record of discipline made other masters pass him up. It wasn't until Master Keval Harken watched Eric train, in his last year to be accepted, was he picked to be a Padawan. His greatfulness to be chosen was shown in his further dedication to learn everything he could and to master what he knew.
12-22 yrs
Master Harken was himself a Corellian Jedi, which were a group of Jedi that were from Corellia and were mostly assigned to the Corellian Star System. They distinguised themselves from every other Jedi in several ways. The main way was the robes they wore were emerald sleeve tunics and robes. They returned to Corellia where he started instructing his Padawan in the way of the force and it's various aspects. It was here that he was reunited with his parents who where shocked at the changes they noticed in their son. His master instructed him for the next several months testing his knowledge of the force. When he was ready his Master took him on a journey to the planet of Ilum.
They landed on secret Jedi world where he would gather his crystals to build his first lightsaber. Eric was responsible for locating the crystals and when they reached the surface. When he got out of the starship his master handed him a bag and told him that his journey would be by himself until he returned either with his new lightsaber or without it. He took the bag and walked into the entrance to the Jedi Temple. Upon entering the temple he had to navigate it's empty halls but realized that they weren't as empty as he believed. Just a couple turns in the temple and he encountered his first Gorgodon. The beast attacked him vicously but Eric was able to dodge his attacks. He pulled out the Lightsaber that his master had given him and advanced unto the large creature. The battle ended shortly with the head of the beast rolling down the hall. This was his first kill and although the thrill of the battle was exillerating he found that the loss of the Gorgodons life was worse. It pained him that he had to kill the beast who was just defending what he thought was his property. Deactivating his lightsaber he continued down the corridors deep into the mountain. He encountered several more Gorgodons but instaed of fighting them he decided to sneak and avoid them altogether. Once he was past the last beast he was finally at the crystal caves. He let the force guide him to the crystals that he would use and once he found them he located a spot to meditate and build his lightsaber from the two halfs he already had completed. Using the force he focused and meditated on his crystal. It took two days of deep meditation for him to complete his lightsaber. Constructing the lightsaber was more then just putting some components together. It was creating an extension of your self. You were imbueing the crystal with everything that makes you who you are. While in meditation he was forced to duel himself. It wasn't him as he is but a person that he could be if he were to give into his anger. After defeating himself he opened his eyes and found his completed lightsaber. He activated it and tested how it worked with several of the forms that he knew from heart. Satisfied with his lightsaber he returned to his master. When he emerged out of the temple he was obviously appeared weak. The construction was tiring on his body and mind and it took him a couple of weeks to fully recover. He showed his master the lightsaber he constructed and he appeared satisfied with his first construction.
During the majority of his Padawanship his master and him went on various missions that were assigned to them by the Jedi High Council. Every now and then his master would send him out on missions by himself to see how he would handle himself. His studies and determination to suceed over any odds proved to be his most important attributes and helped him get himself and his master out of some serious traps. It was also during these years he started to show a great intrest in piloting and building mechanics. Over time he proved to be a decent mechanic and a top pilot. His understanding of the force improved under the guidance of his master. His greatest weakness and one that will always seem to hamper his missions was his connection to others. Although he was somewhat of a social outcast he held great value for the life of other people and seeing them suffer under tryanny or other injustices caused him to feel anger deep inside. This would prove to be a constant battle inside of him.
One of his most trying mission was when him and his master were on a investigative mission trying to locate a criminal that had escaped from Republic custody. The criminal worked for the Hutt syndicate and was difficult enough to catch the first time. Since him and his master were already in the area they were tasked to the mission. It was during this mission that they were seperated for the first time. Eric was captured by a gang that was working for the escaped convict. He was moved to a starship and was given a dose of spice to dull his ability to connect to the force. He was strapped to a table where he was rutinely tortured. His capture lasted for several days as his Master tracked him down. It was here that he found out what he was really made out of. The true determination that was inside of him. He was exposed to pain that he never before encountered. They used electro sticks to burn his back and send his body into a panic. Knowing that the end may not be in site Eric phased in and out of a force trance. Although the drugs reduced his ability to use the force to escape his current situation he was able to decide that his only escape was through the force. It wasn't long till he was gone and in a force trance. Every now and then he was brought out of the trance when the pain was too much to ignore but for the most part he spent his time in his trance. While in his trance it was a battle between him and his other self. He was tempted at every turn. He was told that all he had to due was let his anger free him. That the true power of his anger would be all that was needed to escape his torture exact justice on his captors. Not giving in he pushed through his negative thoughts and just focused on his hope. Hope that either he will become one with the force or that his Master would rescue him. Eventually his torture ended and when he woke up he was in the medical ward of the Jedi Temple with his master looking over him. When he was lucid he gave his master a full recounting of what had happened. It was after this mission that his master convinced the Jedi Council that this mission was his Trial of the Flesh.
After his previous mission Eric was greatly disturbed. His body was healed but his mind was in distress. To be tortured wasn't the worst part. While he was in his trance his darkness was brought to the surface. While he had beaten his hallucination in his trance state it was still at the surface eating at him. It was a little voice in the back of his head constantly nagging at him over his next couple of missions with his Master. It was on a routine diplomacy mission that Eric had snapped at a aide and his Master pulled him aside. It wasn't until after the mission was completed that they were allowed to resolve this issue. They had journeyed back to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant in order for him to face his inner demon. Under the supervision of his Master he entered into another trance state to put this demon to rest once and for all. He knew that it was dangerous especially in his current state but he also knew that his Master would be there to watch him and to pull him out if he was needed. Once in the state he was faced with a version of himself that he recognized as the same one from when he was tortured. They squared off in a duel of lightsabers and strength. At first he was losing. His fear affected his reaction time and he felt himself falling back. He hit the ground and felt the presence of his Master watching him. Knowing that he couldn't give into his anger he got back up and took the basic Jedi stance. He controlled his breathing and fought back. Eventually he defeated his evil formation and when he woke out of the trance he slumped in exhaustion. He knew who he was and he knew what was inside him. With Eric now self aware there was no more any holding back. He was able to put his entire self into the missions. After he recovered he felt finally at peace. With that he accomplished his Trial of the Spirit.
In his last years as a Padawan Eric suffered the worst and most effecting loss he would ever have to endure. They were sent on a mission to investigate a pirate raiding fleet. Since he was of the age to take become a Knight the Council sent him out on the mission as his Trial of Courage. They were joined with a small detachment of Republic Forces and went in pursuit of the pirate fleet. They eventually found the pirates hidden in a asteroid field with a small base of operations built in a old minning outpost. It was here that he had to fight another Jedi in actual combat only these were Dark Jedi who had lost their way. After defeating his opponet his Master had fallen to the blade of the older Dark Jedi. Killing the last Dark Jedi he was able to flee the base and return to the Republic cruiser. His Masters death shook him to the core and he spent the entire trip back to Coruscant meditating on the effects it had on him.
Originally his return was suppose to be followed by his trial of skill but after he completed the recounting of his mission the Council asked him to return the next day and to spend the next day in the Tranquility Spire and return to the Hall of Knighthood. He did as they commanded and left. When he returned to the Hall of Knighthood he knelt before the Grand Master and his Apprentice braid was cut. The Grand Master went on to explain that he had allready completed the Trials of Flesh when he was tortured and then dealt with his inner darkness afterwards and completed his Trial of Spirit. He then completed his mission that was given for his Trial of Courage and as a result defeated two Dark Jedi which was voted to have been his Trial of Skill. The Grand Master handed him a box and a letter that was from his Master. Both the letter and the box had his name on it. Inside the box was a couple of orange crystals and a Jedi Medallion that belonged to his Master. Now a Knight Eric walks the halls of the Temple meditating back on his experiences and pondering his next move.

The displays on the Republic starship started beeping and going off. "What's going on!" Demanded the Captain, an old burly man who showed the years of worry on his face. A young Ensign turned in his chair, "Sir, we are picking up several small ships on our port side." "Deploy fighters and prepare for battle." The Captain said in a calm voice. He knew that the smaller vessels weren't going to be a hard task to beat. Eric watched all this unfold. They were expecting to find the pirates somewhere in this section but they weren't sure where. Suddenly his brow furrowed as he felt something strange in the force. He looked at Harken and asked, "Did you feel that, Master?" Keval put his hand reassuringly on his Padawans shoulder, "Yes I did. We must investigate what it is." Eric nodded his head in understanding. "May I recommend caution since we do not know what exactly it is." He remarked as he thought back to other instances where a little caution would have worked better for him. Keval turned to the ships Captain, "We are going to head into the asteroid field. We will send you the coordinates of the Pirate base when we get their." The Captain waved them off with his hand as he was too busy focusing on the reports that were being feed to him instantly. Apparently several more larger ships had appeared from the asteroid belt.
They made their way to the hangar bay and picked out a operational shuttle that would do their job. They activated it's engines and after a quick check they took off. In order to skirt the battle they flew away from the fight and the group of starfighters. When they were clear they headed into the asteroid field to investigate the pull in the force. It wasn't long until they came across a large asteroid where they found the old minning facility the pirates were using as a base of operations. Making sure to remain undetected they located a unused access hatch
on the far side of the rock and plotted a course that would avoid being picked up by their sensors. When they landed on the far side of the rock they docked with the hatch and Keval turned to his Padawan, "I have a bad feeling about this. Keep your defences up my Padawan." Eric nodded and pulled his green cloak over his head. Even though they have been on more missions then he could count the feelings of anxiousness and anxienty were always present at the begining. "I really have a bad feeling about this." He whispered to himself as they left the shuttle.
The tunnels were old and they had to take alternate routes due to various cave-ins. Some portions of the tunnels they had to squeeze buy. They had to make sure that they weren't noticed while they made their way deeper into the base. As they came to a door they could hear the "click, clack" of boots on the hard duracrete surface. "We must be at the main base. When I unlock the door I want you to disable the guard." His master said as they stood there waiting for the boots to return. Just a couple seconds later the boots returned and when they were infront of the door his master used the force to unlock the door and swing it open. A split second later Eric lunge towards the unsuspecting guard, landed ontop of him forcing him over and with a quick strike of the pommel of his fist to the back of the head knocked him out with very little noise. They removed his communication gear and dragged the body into the tunnel they just emerged from. "Good job, Padawan." Keval said as he put the comm device in his pocket. Eric looked around the immediate area looking for anything that could be of use and then followed his master down the corridor.
Ten minutes and several guards later they were looking out into a large room from a balcony. There were a couple of guards on the far side but two people standing in black cloaks overlooking the large holographic display in the center of the room that showed the battle that was going on outside. It looked as if the Republic Cruiser was getting closer to the asteroid. They still didn't know where the base was but they would in just a second. Master Harken pulled out a remote and activated the emergency beacon on the shuttle. "There now they will be here in a couple of minutes. Lets deal with these people shall we?" They both stood and looked down on the two men in
the black cloaks. "Surrender to the Republic forces and end this pointless bloodshed!" Master Harken said, using the force to fill the chamber with his voice. The two men in black turned and looked up. Instantly from their robes they drew and ignited their lightsabers. Their red blades buzzed as they stared into their eye's. Eric knew his master would take the larger one who looked like the Master while it was his job to take care of the smaller Dark Jedi that looked about his height and size. "Yep, bad feeling." He mumbled as he leaped off the balcony and landed in front of the Apprentice in a basic Jedi stance with his lightsaber pulled and ignited. "You die today Jedi!" Said the Apprentice as he snarled at Eric. Without responding he waited for the Jedi to attack and parried his downward slash and spun around and behind the Jedi performing a side swipe at his opponets waist.
The battle raged on for what seemed like hours but was realy just a couple minutes. The apprentice leaped up in the air and brought his sword down on Eric. Seeing the attack he turned to the side and used the force to increase his speed and run up the wall two steps then jump off and while doing a backward summersault brought his lightsaber down in a slashing motion and cut off the head of the Dark Jedi Apprentice. When he landed on his feet he looked to see his master still locked in combat with the other Dark Jedi. Wanting to help he rushed foreward and started to attack the opponent from behind hoping to get him distracted enough for his Master to land the final blow. The Dark Jedi was too skilled. It was as if Eric's addition to the combat made no effect to him. He swung at his arms and he dodged. Then he brought his lightsaber up and performed a downward slash and he parried. Every attack was countered. The Dark Jedi caught Master Harken was caught off guard and forced back a couple of feet in order to avoid being hit. In a flash of movement the Dark Jedi spun around and force pushed Eric to the opposite side of the room. The wind knocked out of him as he hit the bulkhead hard. When he looked up he saw the Jedi attack his master. It took him a second to get the air back in him and able to move but that was all that was needed. The Jedi battered at his masters defences with such ferocity he had never seen before. He then spun and brought his lightsaber in a reverse grip to stab at Master Harkens chest. His Master attempted to pary but in a quick move Eric saw the Jedi deactivate his lightsaber at the split second his masters lightsaber would have deflected it. He then pressed the hilt against his Masters chest and with a evil smile of satisfaction he activated the blade.
Eric yelled at the top of his lungs and stood up. He ran foreward as his eyes quickly scanned the area for a way to either win or escape. He rushed the Dark Jedi knowing full well that he would possibly die. As he approached it was as if time slowed down. He watched as the Dark Jedi brought his lightsaber up in a horizontal slash to his waist. Eric fell to his knees and layed back as the red blade passed harmlessly over his body. Once he passed the blade he turned and brought himself to his feet and reached out for the bolts in the beam. They were rusted with age and were easier to manipulate with the force. He pulled on the bolts with all the focus he could. They fell out and the beam went with it. It fell down between him and the Dark Jedi along with a good portion of the ceiling. As his opponent climb on top of the rocks he looked down at Eric and smiled. He lept into the air and Eric reached out with the force and sent his masters lightsaber flying into the chest of the Jedi over head. The body fell limp to the ground. With the last of his reserves he picked up his Master and threw him over his shoulder. He ran out the front door and let the force guide him since he did not know where he was. Several guards tried to stop him but his determination to get his master to safety overcame those obsticles. He killed if he had to but other then that he tried to just incompacitate as often as possible. It was a short trip when they made it to the hangar bay. He ran to the nearest shuttle and cut down two crewman that were inside. Looking at the last two and lifting his lightsaber he said, "Fight me or leave. I wont tell you twice." The pilot and copilot ran out of the shuttle and he closed the ramp door. He laid his master down on the floor and rolled up his robe to place under his head as his Master struggled for breath. "Dont worry Master. I will get you to a Medic." He said as he ran to the pilots chair.
He hit the throttle to the max as he saw blaster bolts fly by the cockpit window and fled the hangar bay. He was soon in the middle of the battle and knew that his shuttle would be a nice target for both sides. He sent out a distress call to the Republic Cruiser so that he wouldn't have to worry about friendly fire. In order to avoid the enemy fire he had to do some manuvering around the asteroid field but he made sure to keep his shuttle in as straight a line that he could towards safety. Just when his computer started beeping and warning him about a launched torpedo a squadron of Republic fighters appeared over the crest of the asteroid he was flying around and took out the enemy that was in pursuit of him. With the cruiser just a hundred meters in front of him he slowed down and docked in the hangar bay. When he lowered the ramp there was a Medical Squad already there wwaiting to take Master Harken. They lifted him to the stretcher and took him to the medical bay. Eric made sure to follow them closely until they entered the surgery room. A couple hours later the Doctor came outside, "They just barely missed the heart but he was already far too gone for us to do anything. If you have anything to say then say it now. He wont be able to
hold on much longer." Eric gulped the saliva that built up in his mouth. His heart was pounding as he walked into the room and beside his masters bed. He held his hand and knelt next to his Master and father figure. "Eric," Keval whipsered in a dry voice, "Don't let your emotions rule you... Instead..." He coughed violently twice. "Instead... you need to rule your emotions." He let out a breath it seemed he was holding in and then his eye's closed and he didn't breath again.
Eric stood up and pulled out his masters lightsaber that he dropped and placed it on his chest and moved his hands as if they were holding it. He stood as a tear rolled down the side of his face. As he wiped the tear away he also wiped away his sadness. He burried it under his training until there came a moment where he could express it safely and in the confines of his personal chamber. He turned and walked out of the room where there was a staff of nurses waiting for him. "Prepare his body for the trip to the Jedi Temple." They all nodded and he walked out of the Medical Bay and towards the bridge.
