Name: Sigourney Clarence
Race: Wroonian
Age: 24
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 119lbs
Appearance: Glance at Sigourney's face, and you will see your standard Wroonian. Blue flesh, yellow eyes. hair that seems black but is in actuality a very dark purple. Average, and unlikely to have her face stick out in a crowd of her kin. Look down, and you see the garb of a Jedi. The robe, muted colors, lightsaber hanging from her belt, the standard trappings.
Then, look closer at her. Study her, size her up. Dark circles under her eyes give away sleepless nights. Her lips are quite often dry and cracked, and her hair is more often than not matted and clumped with dust and dirt. Her boots are thicker than normal, and plated with metal. Her lightsaber shares her belt with small tools, as well a small reinforced datapad.
Personality: Sigourney isn't your typical Jedi. Yes, she is quiet, and she does have respect for the Order and her superiors, but she is a unique individual among the Knights, probably due to her age. In the vernacular of the common person, Sigourney is a 'dork.' If she's focusing on something, her tongue sticks out of her mouth. If she's not exactly sure of something, expect a sheepish laugh and an 'ummmmm' in her words. She considers her work 'fun', and will gladly say how much joy it brings her. She's the type to momentarily forget that her saber is on her belt, or her safety goggles are on her head.
Birth place: Coruscant
Faction: Jedi Order
Rank: Knight- Geologist/Archaeologist
Bio: Sigourney's parents were two Wroonians who had both travelled the galaxy in their younger days. Her mother, Riddleyy Tanoma, had served briefly in the Republic Navy, then had gone on to a career as a legitimate cargo hauler. Her father, Stevburg Clarence, had never seen military service, having gone right from school into a career in chauferring politicians around Republic space.
The two Wroonians met one day in a dive on Ralltiir. Riddleyy was relaxing at the bar, paralyzing herself as a wind-down at the end of a long trade run. Stevburg was also winding down, and, whether it was because of the liquor boosting his libido, or just the will of the Force, bought Riddleyy a drink. The two adventurers hit it off, exchanged contact information, and began meeting regularly at the same dive. They developed a tentative relationship, that soon accelerated.
Riddleyy and Stevburg had been seeing each other for close to 4 standard years when they were married. It was a small affair, on a small patch of land rented for a few hours from a Ralltiir farmer. Their honeymoon took place on Naboo, where they rented a small lake cottage and did the deed as often as you'd expect. Stevburg retired from his chaufferring job, and joined his wife as a trader.
They enjoyed 8 years of trading, before they retired, sold their freighter, and purchased an apartment in upper-middle-class Coruscant.
It was nearing their 10th year of matrimony when Riddleyy became pregnant at the age of 39. Stevburg was overjoyed, and the couple began preparing for the child The pregnancy went off without a hitch, and Sigourney was born without complications.
Sigourney was coddled as a child. Hugs, kisses, and squeaky toys galore for the little girl. Wide-eyed and bouncy, Sigourney was happy and content. But like most tots, she was also prone to boo-boos. In particular, potware and food packets seemed to have an affinity for falling down whenever she was in the kitchen. Her parents just shrugged and laughed it off, glad that Sigourney was never hurt any worse than receiving a few frozen food packets to the head.
But little Sigourney's apparent luck with falling objects was not just luck. The little blue girl had some hep from the Force in dodging the falling foodstuffs. Shortly after Sigourney's third birthday, an Iktochi Jedi, who had noticed the twinge in the Force around the area, approached Riddleyy and Stevburg about taking Sigourney to the temple for training. The two were understandably hesitant, and the Jedi gave them a week to think about it.
Riddleyy and Stevburg put the decision off for as long as possible, treating Sigourney as if the Jedi had never shown up. But they had to think about it eventually, and they stayed up late into the night two days before the time limit was up. They didn't want to give up their daughter, but they were Wroonians, and as such, they wanted her to see the galaxy at large. They decided they woud send their little girl off to the temple for training.
The rest of the time passed, and a confused little Sigourney left with the Iktotchi to go train at the temple. Riddleyy and Sevburg spent the next four days endlessly watching holovids of their daughter's short life with them.
Sigourney, used to having her parents around, was scared and confused for the first few years at the temple. After a while, though, she warmed up to her new guardians, and became her grinning little self again.
Sigourney was well-liked amongst her fellow younglings. She was very compassionate and friendly, being quick to hug and offer comfort other younglings who were feeling frustrated or who had been picked on. She was a shoulder to cry on and a source for giggles. In particular, there was one little Fosh youngling in her classes that she bonded with. Picked on constantly by the other younglings because of his height and lack of strength, Sigourney was often heard cheering the little guy up.
When not in classes or hanging around other younglings, the little Wroonian was often found just wandering the tempe halls or speaking to Jedi returning to the temple after missions or journeys, which either resulted in the wide-eyed little girl listening intently as older Jedi recounted tales of flora and fauna on other planets, or her being shooed away by exhausted Jedi having just returned from a hard battle.
In training, Sigourney did not showstrength in any particular aspect of the Force or in saber combat. But she also did not show any particular weakness, apart from physical strength. She was smart, but not the smartest. She was fast, but not the fastest. She was average. In the middle. One area of training she did take to faster than average, however, was astronomy. Like most Wroonians, Sigourney was fascinated by space travel, and loved learning about planets and travel routes.
When Sigourney was 12, she was taken as an apprentice by Zex'Lic'Jo, a Verpine Jedi knight. Like Sigourney herself, Zex was not particularly strong or weak in any area of the force. Because of this, Master and Padawan quickly bonded, and they spent their first few days together in the temple, simply talking about each other's opinions and ideas.
The duo's first destination was Ralltiir. Zex brought the Wroonian to this planet so she could experience first-hand how diverse a planet coud be. Ralltiir is indeed a diverse planet, having banking centres, farms, marble quarries, and high-class medical facilities. Though she did not know why, Sigourney felt at peace on Ralltiir. Though she was hardly ever unhappy, from the moment she touched the ground on Ralltiir, a huge smile seemed permanently stuck on her face. But she also felt the Force pulling her away from the planet. To another, but she couldn't pinpoint which one. She explained this to Zex, and he assured her she would know which planet it was in time.
Though they journeyed to many planets and moons during their time together, Zex and Sigourney regularly returned to Ralltiir. Zex also enjoyed the planet. But where he preferred the farmland scenery of the world, Sigourney was drawn to the cityscapes. They did not quarrel over this, however, and both of them had no qualm with visiting the other's preferred areas.
Another planet of note that they visited was the aquatic planet Pantolomin, in their fifth year together. Sigourney had seen other aquatic worlds by this point, but Pantolomin fascinated her, much like Ralltiir had. Zex was quite amused by his Padawan's wide eyes as they took an underwater tour. The Wroonian was speechless by the sights of the aquatic creatures and plant life.
Another major journey was to the jungle planet of Onderon, when Sigourney was nearing 19 years of age. This was the planet that Sigourney had felt calling her on Ralltiir. It was a dangerous world, full of deadly beasts, and the odd carnivorous plant. It was on Onderon that Sigourney further developed the ability she had been training with for some time. If she concentrated hard enough, Sigourney found she could produce a flash of bright light, bright enough to disorient many of the dangerous predators on Onderon. She had far from mastered it, however. Using this flash left the Wroonian weakened, and she had to consume at least one full meal before she was able to use it again.
After a few days on the harsh planet, Sigourney and Zex came across a withered and blackened tree stump that had almost rotted away. Both felt a small twinge in the Force coming from under the stump. They used their lightsabers to cut apart the rotten stump, which offered no resistance. A few feet down under where the stump had been lay a small chunk of amber, slightly lighter in color than usual. With Zex's approval, Sigourney took the piece of amber for use in her lightsaber.
After returning to the tempe from Onderon, Sigourney meditated on the piece of amber for several days, shaping it and tuning it to herself. After three days, she emerged with the amber, and sought the help of an artisan for help in completing the rest of her lightsaber.
The blade produced by the saber was a bright peach-ish yellow. Sigourney was unable to help herself from hugging Zex after showing him her saber, and the Verpine returned the hug awkwardly. After many apologies, Sigourney and Zex spent a few more days in the temple, simply talking like they had done in the beginning.
Their final mission together was to the 'pleasure planet' of Zeltros. In her younger years, Sigourney would have easily been entranced be the male Zeltrons and the Zeltron way of life in general. But by this time, Sigourney was nearing 22 years of age, and she could resist the pull of the carefree lifestyle. Zex and Sigourney had journeyed to Zeltron in search of a dark Jedi who had supposedly been rallying Zeltrons against the 'oppresive rules' and 'enforced monogamy' of the Republic. Though the latter was hardly credible, the Republic could not risk the chance of such an uprising sparking a civil war amongst the independant planets.
The Wroonian and Verpine spent a few days on Zeltros, collecting information and doing small kind deeds for natives and tourists alike. However, both of them felt a disturbance in the Force, though neither could tell exactly what was wrong.
After close to a week, the two finally came across a solid lead. The dark Jedi they had been searching for had been seen frequenting a casino run by a Zeltron known for especially despising the celibacy of the Jedi Order. They made their way to the casino, both still sensing something wrong in the Force. They fround the dark Jedi and confronted him. Unfortunately for them, they had been watched and followed throughout their whole time on the planet. They had walked straight into a trap. They now had to deal with well-trained and anti-Republic thugs wielding vibroblades, as well as a dark Jedi.
The odds seemed stacked against the two Jedi. However, they refused to give in, Zex especially. He engaged the dark Jedi in a duel while Sigourney focused on the thugs. Though not as skilled with her lightsaber as they were with their blades, but she had the Force, which she kept manipulating to knock the thugs over and disrupt their swings.
Sigourney was faring rather well. Unfortunately, Zex was not. The dark Jedi was more skilled in combat than the rounded-out Verpine. Zex fared valiantly, but was still outmatched by the darksider. He was killed, leaving Sigourney all alone.
Surrounded by thugs -and- a dark Jedi, Sigourney was running out of options. So she took the only path she could think of: She called upon her ability to produce light. She had become more skilled in the usage of this power, and the resulting flash disoriented the dark Jedi and the thugs. Sigourney took the opportunity to run, and escaped off the planet, and made it back to the temple.
Sigourney spent two days meditating over the loss of her Master. During this time, Sigourey felt tempted by the Dark Side. She contemplated leaving the order and seeking revenge for her Master. After these two days, she was called before the council, and she honestly expected to be cast out of the order. Instead, the council granted her Knight status, citing the loss of her Master as her trial of Flesh, taking on the thugs as courage, and her resisting the urge for revenge as spirit. When she inquired about her trial of skill, she was asked to show her lightsaber. She did so, and was then asked to identify the focusing crystal she used. She recounted the tale of finding the amber and meditating and using it in her saber. The council agreed that using an unusual object such as natural amber in a lightsaber counted for her trial of skill. Sigourney calmly thanked the council, calmly made her way to a meditation room, then once she was alone, started hugging the chair and pillows in the room.

One of the crystal caves of Ilum was supposed to be full of Jedi studying and cataloguing variations in the color of crystals. That plan didn't go through so well. So instead, it was a lone Wroonian Jedi with a checklist and list of known shades of blue and green. She was currently hunched over a deposit of blue crystals, looking over the list of shades to identify it. "Lessee...Azure..? No. Baby blue? Pantolomin blue? No. Ah! Here! Nabloo!" She stopped for a few seconds, then looked at the list again. "Nabloo? Who the...Have I gone totally loopy?" she asked nobody in particular.
She shrugged, moving on to a green deposit. Once more, she looked down the list. "Army green? No. Racing green? No. Celadon? No..but that would make a pretty color for a saber...Electric green? No..
