A stranger's return.

The criminal infested bar was thick with the stench of smoke. The dim lighting was a blessing as it made good cover for those who didn't want attention, but for Kito, it was the fact he didn't have to look at the more vile looking characters that would otherwise put him off his drink. He scratched his chin, dashed with light stubble. He'd been through a couple of rough nights, being chased down by old friends after selling them weapons that were actually nothing more than a couple of pipes tacked on together with some adhesive goop.

His worn eyes scanned the room scanned the room, picking out suspicious behavior that could easily ruin his night at the bar after a long week of scamming simple power hungry fools. He smirked at the memory of their eager faces when snatched the bag of dummy guns.


He shifted slightly in his booth, getting more comfortable. His fingers teased at the trigger of his pistol that was resting across his lap, he decided it was better to use a gun as his shotos gave away that he was a forcey, and that attracts all the wrong attention. He grimaced slightly; the thought of meeting another jedi or worse yet, a dark one was something he'd second to eating the droppings of a sick Bantha.

He twirled the glass, taking a sip from the toxic drink.

Finishing his drink and wiping his mouth, his sleeve was in tatters so alcohol stains weren't something to worry about, he climbed to his feet before letting out a sigh. His night has been quite peaceful.. he was bored though, and Nar Shaddaa was getting old. But he didn't really have much choice in where to travel, most of the galaxy was at war and he'd rather keep away from the Jedi and the Sith as much as he could... a gray wasn't exactly the most revered being on either side of the pallet and he personally found their conflicting ideals pointless, they both had their good parts and their bad parts. The Jedi disregarded emotion from he could see and Sith were just majorly screwed in the head.

He placed his gritty hand against the door frame, gazing outside at the polluted metropolis, "just a big bowl of osik..." Kito muttered with a displeased expression painted across his face. He peered out of the door frame, checking his flanks before stepping out on to the walkway. The sound of speeders zipping above, with the occasional sound of metal hitting building from drunken fools who decided to drive their speeders while not being able to see passed their nose (if they had one.) He shook his head and decided it would be safer to stroll through the crime infested 'streets' rather than risk it with a taxi back to the apartment complex. His finger played at the trigger teasingly as he passed fellow low lives.

[Adobi-Wan Kenobi]

The shuttle had come out of hyper space and aligned itself with the planet below. Nar Shadda, a planet in Hutt space, the Republic Shuttle was piloted by a Jedi Knight named Dan Firestar and his newly appointed Padawan Learner Onna Jarsin.

Being as she was young and a new padawan Dan couldn't take her on dangerous missions, but he had found a not to dangerous mission on Nar Shadda as surprising as it was to find something none violent on Nar Shadda he had.

A simple information trade with someone who might have something useful for the Blades and the Jedi. If it worked out they would be there and back in no time. Dan shut his eyes as he was above the planet he felt nothing that would be dangerous, but he still was caustous.

Within minutes the ship was parked neatly on one of the landing pads in the lower levels on the planet where he was to wait for an hour before the meeting.

A restaurant/Cantina area where he hoped the meeting would go smoothly.

((OOC---Not sure how this fits but i hope we can work around it, only way we could think up how to ge Jedi onto the planet.))

It was Onna's first mission and she was very nervous. Not only was it her first mission but it was her first time off of Coruscant. She knew that her and Dan were going to just pick some supplies up and leave. That's all they were suppose to do they wasn't anything that was going to go wrong. Onna felt down to the planet with the force she could feel many mind pressing up against her so she just ignored them and then they landed.

Onna followed Dan into the Cantina. It was very different then anything in the temple. She looked around they were many different types of people in there. She had seen many of the species in the temple but these people were different very different.

Then Onna felt something familiar in the force. Something or someone that she had never meant but it was definitely the force. Dan could feel it to she could tell. Dan didn't say anything so Onna ignored it and just figured it was something else that was weird about this planet and waited for Dan to make the next move.

Kito glanced back, sensing other force users in the area, he noticed two robed characters entering the cantina he had just left. Good luck, he though with a smirk painted across his rugged face. He faced forward once again, only to bump into an unknown entity. Stepping back for a moment, the rogue looked over a rather repulsive character, a scruffy man with a bulging belly accompanied by a Rodian and a Twi'lek, all three looked rather unhappy with Kito.


"Guys, here's the joker who thought it'd be funny to scam us out of our money," spat the repulsive man, brandishing a scattershot which he obviously had unsavory intentions on it's purpose. The repulsive man grinned with his drooling mouth with the spit draping across his dirty beard.

"Now now, why would I ever ..." Kito was cut short as he fit the butt of the gun strike his gut roughly followed by a tugging sensation as the two lackeys grabbed him by his arms, dragging him back to the cantina.

"I think you owe us a drink Kito, and about ten thousand credits! Not forgetting your head on a platter," chuckled the man, in a grotesque manner. The rogue grinned darkly, "but my friend, your gut tells me you've had enough to eat and drink!" Kito mocked, only to receive a strike to the face.

When the dizziness subsided, Kito found himself at one of the back booths in the cantina with a gun pointed to his side. He gazed over to the obvious ring leader of the three, the man was gulping down putrid liquid in large cup and with the added sounded effects just in case you didn't know he was drinking. He wiped his greasy mouth before looking Kito over his dopey eyes, "now tell us where you hid the money and then maybe we kill you quickly..."

[Adobi-Wan Kenobi]

((OOC---Hope it's OK for me to plop in here.))

Dan felt a slight disturbance, not one that was dangerous but of another force user, after that however he did feel danger. Dan looked over his shoulder with a sigh as a man likely the force sensitive man judging from the area of force Dan felt around him; was being shoved to the back of the room.

Dan gave a low sigh, he wasn't mad he had to help, but because even easy missions always turned into destructive conflicts around him. He looked to Onna, Sithspit!... Stay here I'll be right back-ish. He smiled as he stood to insert himself into the conversation.

Dan walked up past the trio and half spun on his left hill, he had gotten there in time to see a blaster resting right in front of the male human.

He just stood there looking between the four men getting a feel for the meeting.
Oh, don't mind me...
Dan said jokingly at the leader of the hostile group,
"Shut up boy or you're next."

Dan rolled his eyes,
"What is it Goldilocks??"

Oh nothing, just wondering how much he owes you. Quite a bit if you're willing to come in here swinging you weapons without thinking.

"Yeah he owes me a lot, and if you don't forget about it You'll owe me blood too."

With that the ring leader flicked the safety off his blaster and gave a head tilt to the other men as if saying "get him!"
Dan moved his robe back a few inches revealing the hilt to his first saber, he had been tempted to mind trick the group but he looked at one of the men behind the leader who must have been the brains of the operation because he looked like the type that a mind trick wouldn't have worked on.

You really don't want to be doing that!
Dan gave a warning, but it didn't seem to work as the ring leader moved his blaster to Dan's face.
Dan readied himself he knew he could take them all down within seconds, but he wanted no blood so he added a second to each person in the circle.

((OOC---Made small update in fixing small misspellings i noticed and changed the dialog for the NPC))

Onna watched as the man held the gun to Dan's face. She wasn't really worried she had seen what Dan could do when he practiced with the training droids back at the temple. The only thing Onna was interested to see was how long it would take Dan to take the guys out. Anyone could tell that Dan was going to win so Onna just started to watch to see if she could learn from the guys.

Onna took a quick glance around the cantina seeing if there was anyone that would interfere with the fight and when Onna was satisfied that no one was she looked back over ready to watch. Then she heard someone yell about something behind here. So she looked to see who had yelled when she couldn't pick out who had done it she looked back to see that the fight was over and Dan had won.

Kito glanced over to the approaching jedi, who had obvious intentions to 'educate' these low lives. The gray had mixed feelings about this, on one hand this jedi could get him out of an unpleasant situation but on the other hand, he found it offensive on the grounds of his pride and prejudice* towards such people.

A bolt from them criminals blaster silenced the bar as everyone turned to watch the scene unfold, it was the perfect opportunity for Kito. Elbowing the Twi'lek who had a blaster stabbing into Kito's side, dizzying the crook before snapping the others neck and shoving his body off the alcohol stained booth, allowing himself to crawl out.

Climbing to his feet, he steadied himself and took a shot at the Twi'lek, hitting his right arm. Osik! He thought to himself as he missed. The Twi'lek cursed loudly and pointed his own blaster at Kito, "die stoopa!" he cursed. In shear panic, Kito launched a cup with the force at the Twi'lek, spilling alcohol over the criminal.

(I ran out of things to write... but I think that's interesting enough? Not much description but we're not looking out for that right now are we? But yeah, the ugly one hasn't been touched just so you know)


*Was a book followed by a movie if you didn't already know. Some of the scenes in the movie were also shot locally near my local town, village and my father's stables. -FACTS-

[Adobi-Wan Kenobi]

Dan waited for his opportunity in the same instant that the other human had elbowed the Twi'lek, the person who had the gun to Dan's face attempted to re-aim at the man, in that moment Dan yanked the older heavyset man toward him with the force, the much bigger man fell to his knee and Dan raised his own knee knocking him out with a knee to the face.

Dan reached out to the Twi'lek who by this time been shot and now drenched in an alcoholic drink he touched the mans mind this Twi'lek did indeed have a weak mind unlike the other person, Dan made him sleep and watched the Twi'lek tumble over.

He now brushed some stray hair that had fallen into his eye back over his head as if what he had done was a simple task.

He crouched down and touched the eyes of each of the three to make sure none of them where to badly hurt.

He looked up to the awe struck bartender,
This Twi'lek needs some medical attention! When you call for police Assuming this planet has police call for medics as well. The people in the cantina looked at Dan is if asking why he would want to help the people he just took out.

As if answering the unasked question he spoke,
Because I'm not evil... now go!
Dan said with a now demanding voice that no one second guessed.

He than stood and turned to the other male who didn't look much older then Dan, Where did you learn to fight like that?

Dan had noticed the "flying cup" but only barely.

[Shadow]

When Onna had looked back over she knew that the fight was over. Dan was talking to the man that he had just saved. Onna wanted to walk over there and hear what they were talking about but Onna was told to stay so she would stay were she was. She thought about what they could be talking about. She thought about who the man was and why the people had wanted to kill him.

She watched the Cantina carefully. People had just returned to there drinks like nothing had happened. Onna really wondered how often this happened here that people seemed like it was part of there every day life. She kept watching every one in the room while feeling out with the force to see if there was any other trouble. Onna was hardly paying any attention Dan when she saw him walking back over. She tried reading his face for any expression but saw none.

Kito smirked at the man's question, before turning his gun to the ring leader and landing a bolt into the villain's skull, the body jumped a little.

"You learn to fight as you live, especially in places like these.... but my master taught me a lot of things... she wanted me to be the harbinger of fear, to strike from the shadows as a blade of the dark side... but let's just say I didn't want to be that," he winked at the jedi, knowing the news of him helping a former dark jedi would be shocking. Chuckling slightly, Kito leant against the table and grabbed a glass wholeheartedly before gulping down the alcoholic liquid.

"What about you, didn't they teach you shoot first? I'm pretty sure if you kill for survival rather than hate, it would still be a valid move in the jedi code? Otherwise you'll end up dead.. and mercy knows what would happen to your young girl over there, Nar Shadda isn't one with fighting the good fight you know," his face went stern saying this, his wife came into mind, he was too soft once, she died.

[Adobi-Wan Kenobi]

Dan was shocked at the gun that the other human pulled on the unconscious man laying on the ground. He couldn't defend himself... Dan almost recreated helping the man out, Dan knelt down to attempt to save the man only to be thanked by feeling the mans last breath.

"You learn to fight as you live, especially in places like these.... but my master taught me a lot of things... she wanted me to be the harbinger of fear, to strike from the shadows as a blade of the dark side... but let's just say I didn't want to be that,"

Dan stood frustrated, Dark side!?!?.... Why you.... LOOK at what you just did and tell me that isn't Dark!

The man continued to speak,
"What about you, didn't they teach you shoot first? I'm pretty sure if you kill for survival rather than hate, it would still be a valid move in the jedi code? Otherwise you'll end up dead.. and mercy knows what would happen to your young girl over there, Nar Shadda isn't one with fighting the good fight you know,"

Don't bring the code into this, I may be a Jedi but I'm not a saint... And as far as fighting goes the best fight fought is the one that no blood is shead. Dan was attempting to relieve the pain of what he had just seen and erase the already Burnt memories out of his mind.

Dan looked at the man and felt a small twinge of pain come from him, and that he was hiding something.

Dan let the hatred go, acting from it would be useless and prove nothing... Dan sighed at his lost attempt to save lives, it wasn't the first time he had lost a fight with someone dieing.I'm certainly hoping you aren't looking for piece than, because on your current life coarse you wont find it. think that through and than talk to me if you want, but as far as I'm concerned you are a dark Jedi because killing innocents is right up there alley. Dan turned and looked at the one who had made it though the conflict still breathing, who had come to by this point, I highly recommend you don't attempt a fight with this man again. He stepped over the crawling man and walked back to his seat, memories of his former masers death on his mind now.

He sat down and began to start in on the drink. He looked to his padawan whom had unfairly been brought into the conversation.
For the rest of the trip you're staying right where i can see you. Understand? He said before taking a drink of his Soda hoping she wouldn't take it the wrong way.

(Not a reply of sorts, just wanted to say, only one is alive. The other one had his neck broken which inevitably caused his demise! Muwahah)

Onna completely understood. Nar Shadda was not the place to be messing around in. After what Onna had just seen she knew that she should say very little and listen to what Dan said. She didn't want anything else to go wrong. Specially on her first mission.

Yes I understand.......You okay?

Onna knew that he fine but she thought she should ask anyways. She then started to wonder where the man was that they were meeting he should have already been there. Onna started to wonder if something else was going to go wrong. It was only her first mission ever and it looked like something else was going to go wrong.

[Adobi-Wan Kenobi]

Dan sat his drink back down in time for Onna to speak,
Yes I understand... Dan nodded approvingly,
...Good..., Onna continued, ...You okay? Dan looked around be fore nodding again, I'm fine... This just isn't the place for a field trip. He said trying to give a convincing smile.

Dan reached out with the force searching for his man, the man he was supposed to be meeting, He felt a tremor of the force from what had just happened in the bar, but he couldn't find him.

He's late... i guess I'm not the only one who can't tell time. Dan shrugged not worried because he wasn't to late and because Dan still hadn't felt a disturbance.

He was surprising himself how easily he let the deaths go, but it was over and he couldn't get the man to answer to Republic law, not out in the middle of Hutt space any way.

Dan sighed looking back down to his padawan,
So how are you enjoying your first time away from the temple?

Onna thought about the question. The mission wasn't supposed to be dangerous but it took a turn that Onna hadn't seen coming. It wasn't at all what see had thought it would be. She thought that they were going to just show up pick some supplies and leave but this wasn't at all what she thought of it.

Well its been a good learning experience.........Sure wasn't expecting it to turn out like this though.

Onna looked over to were the man was that Dan had helped as Onna expected he was gone. She thought about were he had gone. She wondered about his past and why he was neither Jedi nor Dark Jedi because she had seen him use the force just she knew that he was neither Jedi nor Dark Jedi.

Well its been a good learning experience.........Sure wasn't expecting it to turn out like this though.
Dan smiled, Things never go how i plan them... That's Partly why i have you as a padawan... he gave another smile, what he said was a joke, but it was also true, he had always been open to having a padawan, but he still had to admit he never expected one.

Of coarse, if things always went the way we wanted we wouldn't learn as much. He shrugged taking another drink still not to worried about the informant, as he could still feel where ever he was he was still alive.
