Kaz studied the view port for a few more moment letting his mind wander and drift towards the various possible outcomes of his hunt. He slowly pulled on his armored jump suit, cinching the breast plate just a hair more, so it was snug yet comfortable he pulled his hair back and started repeating the mantra of the hunters that the Rodians had taught him. almost a sing song chant as his clipped his belt and checked his blasters, and set them to stun. Reaching a crescendo as he tested both his sabers. Everything registered full power. He felt his heart rate increase an settled into an almost trance like state, attuning himself to the force. Kaz's eyes flew open. She was there he could feel it through the Force, she had come, and now they would meet. The hunter and the hunted. But the Force had not shown him who the prey would be at the outcome of today's events. Just let him the the when and where. Kaz left his room and made his way to the docks feeling inexorably pulled there. He stood at the upper view ports and scanned the docks for his mark, the beautiful Mirialan woman, one of his own race, though he did not feel a pang of regret as he barely found any racial bond with his own species. There. Her green skin and distinctive markings, normal for any Mirialan, set her apart from the majority of humanoids that were in the docking bay. He hoped they would clear out when the dung hit the ceiling but with a mark like this, collateral damage was to be expected. Kaz hurried through the corridors and into the main docking areas reaching his senses out to find the mysterious Mirialan again, slightly drawing his pistols he pushed through the crowded area until he once again caught sight of her.

Of all the lameass places to get stuck doing repairs, this was pretty low on the totem pole as far as Ervisa Therani was concerned. Space station was too generous a term for the facility. More like frickin huge garage surrounded by a crappy shopping mall that smelled like mildew and body odor.
Of course 'space station' was a lot easier to say.
Promptly the smell of burning tabac was added to the mix when the Mirialan ex-Jedi lit up a cigarette, breathing deep of the smoke and releasing it all in a slow and steady exhalation, the grey mist hovering around her head as it slowly sank down to the floor.
Technically she wasn't supposed to be smoking on the flight deck. But no one told Ervisa Therani where and when she could or couldn't smoke. Besides, the sooner that ResCorp bomber was finished, the sooner she'd be gone, and if she showed the proverbial flag near their place of work, then the lazy mechanics might be more likely to actually get it done sometime this year.
It had already been two hours, during which she'd browsed just about every shop, picking up some incense, a water pipe, two packs of cigarettes, and a nice silk bathrobe she thought might come in handy. By the time she'd finished, they'd still be fixing the left repulsors. Or port as these navy types liked to call it.
Ervisa sighed and wished she had a drink. This had been one colossally long-ass day, and all she wanted was to get back to Oatara, eat a big plate of food, and maybe have a little fun with Horst before falling asleep with her arm across his chest.
Nothing quite like some action.
But damn, there it was again. She had this perpetual tingling since she'd come here, the sense that something was wrong. Yeah, it was the danger sense all right, the little feeling in the back of Ervisa's mind that warned the shit was about to hit the fan.
Bummer that the Force couldn't be a little more specific about exactly what the problem was...
A green hand clad in a brown leather glove brushed the grip of the hefty blaster pistol she had on her right hip, the lightsaber on her left only reserved for close-quarters work.
She looked around warily, her left hand clutching her cigarette between two fingers. Someone not so nice was very near. Luckily for her, she knew that fact. And when he acted, she'd be ready to deal with it.

The smell of tabac smoke reached Kaz nose, it stank worse then the rank and file smell he associate with his cramped surrounding, the grimy workers, the spilled fuel, the sweat of myriads of species combined and now tabac smoke. Kaz wrinkled his nose at the stench but a tingling sensation at the base of his skull told him he as at the right place.
Three heads in front of him and a space and there she stood, irritation seemed to be rolling off her as she stood, apparently waiting for mechanic. He could almost taste the kill, though he knew better then to count his gundarks before they left the nest. Even with her back to him he could see that she knew something was wrong. he watched as she fiddled with her blaster in it's holster.
Kaz let his blaster slide past leather and let himself sink into the Force as he, without warning he leveled his first baster, right arm straight left still pulling his second blaster clear, and let loose a quick salvo of azure stun bolts. Within a moment of the first report going off the sound from his following shots were covered by the screams and associated noises from the myriads of species beginning to flee.

Ervisa was already in the depths of planning when the sound of blaster fire rang out, so it was very easy for her to spring into action, like some kind of badass action hero. Or, well, not. Media portrayals of actual fights had this tendency to be a teensy bit off, and Ervisa had been in enough fights to know that for a fact.
Personal experience was the best teacher. Even if it assigned too much homework and gave you a final that made you cry and curse the day you were born.
The Mirialan ran, keeping a low profile as she sprinted to the cover of a pair of crates, rolling in behind them and pulling out her blaster pistol, firing off a pair of shots in the general direction the stun bolts had come from.
Yes, stun bolts. Ervisa knew about that blue tint, with the unique sound. Someone wanted her alive and unharmed, which was a little bit more pleasant than simply wanting her dead.
Maybe it had something to do with being an escaped prisoner on Rodia? Granted that was years ago, but there was no statute of limitations on breaking out. Still though, she doubted any government was pissed enough at her to hire a bounty hunter. No, this was some other kind of trouble.
Oh she'd give trouble right back at that man.
Ervisa peeked from cover and saw him, a Mirialan like her. Well, not exactly like her. This one was a little more male. There were a few other differences besides boobs, none of which struck her as particularly important. Instead she took aim at him and poured fire from her blaster pistol, hopefully to catch him in the open and deal with him quickly.
There was one nice thing about this. She didn't have to feel guilty about blasting bounty hunters out of existence, not that she had much guilt over killing in general. It wasn't as if she'd ever killed anyone who didn't deserve it.
Judging's not a very Jedi thing to do, Her mind lectured her.
I'm no Jedi so piss off.

'Gfersh...' Kaz thought as she deftly avoided his hasty shots, 'This slag sucking schutta, is fast.' and rolled behind some cargo. Kaz watched as she popped up with her own blaster answering his, though she was using lethal bolts ment to inflict carnage. It was a whole new game, and Kaz relished in his marks furry.
He used the force to aid in a backwards somersault carrying him on to a passing droid driven hover sled, giving himself some cover as well. Even with his speed, she was a good shot, and one of her bolts had burned through the fabric of his flight suit right under his knee and barely missing his leg. though he could tell it was close enough he was burned.
Looking over the sleds edge Kaz saw that his was the worst injury sustained. The masses of sentient beings had by this time mostly cleared the area or found cover of some sort leaving just the two combatants and automatons.
" Ervisa Therani, you are here by bound by law." Kaz called out, keeping his head low behind the sleds short side wall. "You will come with me and stand trial for your deeds."
Kaz peeked over the sled's bed wall again to see if she had maintained her position behind the crates and switched his blasters off stun the gloves were off and only one would walk away from this encounter.

Ervisa reached out with her senses, learning more about the other Mirialan through the Force. He was a Forcie. And the leap he'd just made up onto a sled proved that beyond a doubt. Well, two could play at that game.
There was a large gantry overhead...
The bounty hunter yelled at her from the hovering sled, where he almost had a good vantage point on her. Certainly he was behind cover, and it would be rough to get him out. Ervisa had to outflank him, to take him down from a position where she had a clear shot and he didn't. And the sooner she did it, the better.
In her experience, fights that dragged on were a hell of a lot worse on everyone involved. She wanted him downed fast, not even killed necessarily. Just, not shooting at her. She was reasonably sure she had a way to do it.
The Mirialan woman flipped her blaster onto full auto and crouched, springing out of it in a Force-enhanced leap that brought her onto the solid metal of the gantry crane, with a vantage point straight down onto his sled.
Ervisa pulled the trigger and held it down, dumping an entire power cell onto his position. If he wasn't careful, he'd be fried like a cheese stick. Which sounded strangely delicious right now. Why hadn't she eaten earlier?

A soft thump reached Kaz's ear over the din of machines moving along unaware or incapable of understanding the two combatants. The sound of boots slamming into metal above his head. 'Stang!' he thought 'She is fast...'
Kaz wasted no more time pondering the Mirialan woman's speed our anything else about her, her trap was closing and he needed to move and quickly. He used the force to aid in his leap from the sled to the gantry across from him. Twisting around as his feet left the sled he started pouring shots wildly at the crane, doubting he would hit anything but trying none the less.
Kaz nearly got the wind knocked out him as his back slammed into the hanging walk way. he heard a sharp crack but with his adrenaline flowing he didn't worry about the damage his body sustained, bacta could fix that. He threw himself towards some barreled shaped containers blocking him from direct line of sight again.
He had rained the charges on his blasters holstering them as he pulled out his lightsabers keeping the blades off for a moment as he gathered his mental energies and delved deeply into the force concentrating on forming a telekinetic blast at his target.
Kaz flung his left hand out and hurled the barrels with the force following closely behind them with his own force assisted leap at the woman. His thumbs on the activation pads ready to ignite his blades and bring this fight to a close.

Ervisa could sense the build-up of power in the bounty hunter, and she guessed it was going to be a telekinetic attack. He didn't seem super dark-side, so she felt pretty safe assuming it wasn't some form of destruction she was about to face. Indeed, as a deluge of barrels streaked towards her, her suspicions were confirmed.
Now there were several ways to fight off telekinetic attacks. There was the direct approach, stopping them telekinetically and hurling them back. That one was draining and tired the defender out. Then there was the indirect approach. Avoidance. Much easier on the mind, if a little harder on the body. Luckily, Ervisa Therani was lithe and strong.
She rolled rapidly across the gantry, dodging the barrels that hit near where she'd been a second ago. However, in the process her blaster pistol was knocked away. And that pretty much dictated how the fight was going to go. Luckily, the Mirialan was an ex-Jedi Guardian, an expert in lightsaber combat.
Ervisa rolled off the gantry and hit the ground rolling on a raised level before straightening and igniting her lightsaber. One more leap and she was on level with the other Mirialan.
Her saber was held in a back-handed Shien grip, and she was ready to repel either lightsaber attacks or blaster fire in her preferred form of choice. Versatile, powerful, and perfect for defense or attack. Her master had always taught her it was the highest form.
Of course she really wasn't so keen on fighting at all. She'd much rather spend her time between the sheets or drinking, though she'd been trying hard to kick that habit, with mixed results.
Recovering alcoholic, recovering spice user. And don't forget the ex-prostitute. Yeah, one hell of a love. Her master had to be brimming with pride right now. Positively overflowing with it.
Ervisa decided now was a good time to bring it.
"Why don't you get your ass out of here bounty hunter, before anyone gets hurt."

Kaz's feet hit the raised platform under the crane a moment after the barrels hit, and shattered against the wall and floor. she had avoided the barrels and and came back up to him her own saber drawn and gave him the choice to leave, not that Kaz had any trust for her but the offer was tempting.
Kaz gave her a feral smile baring his teeth in the grin of an apex predator, as he assumed his own stance. Left side towards her with his knees bent and feet shoulder width apart, left arm straight out with his shoto light saber in a reverse grip and held at a forty five degree angle. Right arm bent at the elbow acrosed his chest elbow even with his shoulder and his regular light saber pointed in a straight line towards her chest.
"Ervisa Therani, you will come with me." Kaz said trying to ignore the pain in his chest and mentally calculating her opening moves, letting the force flow into his body and becoming one with it. Tzor told him to use his passions without letting them take over, and even now he was experiencing the blood lust, and trying to focus it into his dueling. "Or there will be consequences."

Ervisa gave the bounty hunter her best 'b*tch please' face.
"Like I'm really going to just drop my weapon and surrender to some random guy so he can take me to some random place where bad things will happen?"
Ervisa was no rocket scientist, but she wasn't a complete idiot either. If she gave up and went with him, bad stuff could happen. Nothing good would ever come of being taken back by a bounty hunter. Granted, if she thought it gave her a tactical advantage she might have gone with it, but in this circumstance there was nothing to be gained.
She did, however, have a first-rate opportunity to mess with the bastard.
"What's the matter bounty hunter? Afraid to get your ass kicked by a girl? Make a bet with the fellows at the bounty office that you wouldn't piss yourself and back down? Have you ever even taken a real bounty before? Or do they all tease you and make you cry for being such a pussy?"
The emerald green woman grinned broadly as she delivered her taunts, her navy blue lightsaber bathing her vivid skin in a glow, humming cutting through the air.
She was enjoying this now. Yes, the adrenaline had really kicked in. It was like a high she felt, an exhilarating feeling. Granted it was a hundred times more dangerous than spice, but on the other hand it wasn't like she went out looking for fights.
"Bring it on Cinderella, the ball ain't gonna wait forever."

Kaz admired the way the Mirialan woman stood her ground, even bantered, and the light from her saber cast wonderful shadows across her lithe frame. She made it clear that it would be the hard way. Kaz enjoyed the hard way.
His grin fully feral Kaz winked as he threw a soft telekinetic projectile towards her as a feint followed by a flick of his left wrist for a slash and then a quick kick directed towards her mid section.
Kaz spun backwards to put distance between him and her And ready himself for her oncoming assault. His attacks a test of her defenses. Trying to judge his best approach for defeating his mark in her specialization.
"You had your chance Schutta." Kaz said as he prepared another force assault. his defenses primed. He felt like a crouching Krayt Dragon ready to devour his prey.

The bounty hunter gave an incredibly doofy-looking grin. Was doofy even a real word? It sounded like a real word. Eh, it was close enough.
He sprang into action, telekinetically attack, which she evaded, and then sending a kick and a slash from one of his two lightsabers. She caught his lightsaber on hers and spun harmlessly out of the way of his leg. Then he retreated, and she couldn't resist the urge to mock him again when he talked to her.
"Blow it out your ass scuzzball, you fight like a twelve year old girl."
Now it was her turn to take the offensive, which she didn't feel opposed to, as this guy HAD started the fight. He was asking for it, and she knew all about surviving. In fact, she was pretty damn good at it. Force knew she had to be decent at something besides piloting and sex.
Ervisa advanced forward with a pair of attacks. She batted at his lefthand lightsaber with her own, locking blades with him using her considerable strength, and she snaked out her left hand to grab his right wrist. At the same time, she brought her knee up to catch him straight in the family jewels.
She had to say, it was gonna feel damn good to nail this guy straight in the balls. Besides the personal satisfaction, if he was down on the ground writhing she'd be able to kick him in the head until he passed out then beat a hasty retreat.
Strange as it sounded, Ervisa didn't want to kill the dumb bastard. She just wanted him off her back. But if that meant killing him, then she would. Her own life came first.

Kaz used his down saber to block her low slash, their blades locking. He fell for her feint and went for the easy shiack, a stab towards her heart. Though as he lunged she had caught his wrist in her hand.
Kaz went up on point of his left foot and brought his right knee up, a simple yet effective move for protecting the area that the female Mirialan seemed intent at driven her own knee. Using the momentum created by his shift he flung himself backwards trying to break the womans grip on his wrist and not his actual wrist.
He reached out with the force and mentally grabbed the hanging hook of the crane and flung it at Ervisa. He had wanted to take her alive but she was proving difficult and he needed to get back on the offense.
He resumed his stance for a moment before he started a variant of the Rising Whirlwind, swinging his lightsabers in an imprecise pattern of circles, oblongs, figure eights, ment to confuse where the actual strike would be and all the while boring down on the tattooed woman.

Alas, the bounty hunter blocked the blow to his man-parts and disengaged, breaking free from her grip, and telekinetically sending a crane hook flying towards Ervisa.
There were a few courses of action available to someone being faced by a large object coming towards them with great power, and by a few, she meant two. Get hit in the face and die, or move out of the way. As much of an agonizing choice that was, she ultimately had to decide on moving out of the way, which had a convenient double purpose.
It brought her closer to him, pressing the attack, as well as helping her avoid getting hit in the head by a hook the size of her torso.
The Mirialan woman came to the conclusion she was going to have to make this a saber-fight all the way to the end. That was a little complicated as his blades outnumbered her two to one. Granted, it wasn't the first time she fought someone who used Jar'kai, but she hadn't liked any of the other times much either.
It was time to bring out the big guns though. If she could get him off balance and knock a saber out of his hand, she was confident she could overpower him with Djem So. It was simply a matter of evening the odds a little.
Ervisa swung from her shoulder, sending her blade straight for the bounty hunter's left wrist, hopefully to either detach his hand from his arm (to be replaced by a pirate hook?) or to cut the hilt of his lightsaber in half.
Or, like, both. They weren't really mutually exclusive. Either was was good.

He was charging towards the lithe female, his blood lust rising, though he was still fully aware of his actions he was letting the force guide his sabers in there intricate dance of light as he came down hard on her closing the gap he had just created while she was doing the same.
Momentum. Momentum was carrying two separate objects into a collision course. Kaz understood the principal of momentum, and knew that to win he'd need to redirect his into a tool.
There was his opening, she was using a strong slash, swinging from her shoulder kaz threw his body sideways and down into a grav-ball players slide aimed at her ankles and twisting his left hand around so the defense saber still caught the block while thrusting his right saber, the longer of the two straight forward looking to pierce her navel straight through.

The second the bounty hunter went down, Ervisa knew she had a problem. Her momentum was already carrying her forward, and she didn't have the time to stop and go backward. There was only one direction to go.
Up.
In a Force-enhanced leap, the Mirialan woman sprang up and over the bounty hunter, though she didn't emerged entirely unscathed. Unfortunately there was now a hole in the inside thigh of her pants, and a burned spot on her left leg that hurt like a b*tch.
Still, that pain meant she was alive.
Alive was definitely better than the alternative, despite how much life could suck while you were living it. Of course now Ervisa was anything but pleased. She was an EX-Jedi, and while she didn't actively spend time using anger or rage, she was distinctly pissed off now.
Nevertheless, she had a certain singular wit she carried out in her own particular idiom.
"Goddammit, these were my favorite pants," She cursed as she turned to face the other Mirialan.
Moving a few fingers off her saber, Ervisa gave her very best force-push at the bounty hunter, even as she pulled the crane hook with the Force. She had every hope the two would meet in the middle in some kind of spectacular accident.
Otherwise this fight was just going to drag on.

Kaz knew even as his blade scorched her flesh that the fight was over. His earlier wounds had slowed him down and taken him from hunter to prey. His leg throbbed and he could barely breathe and the adrenaline he'd been running on had burned itself out.
He felt his mind fading even as she bounded over him. His momentum carried him onward still past where she was. He didnt know where his momentum stopped and her force shove began all he knew was the last thing his eyes saw in this life was the rapidly approaching hook of the crane.

Ervisa blinked in surprise. That stunt with telekinesis had actually worked?
She'd been expecting it to go over about as well as a cartoon nexu chasing after a cartoon nerf with various gadgets from Czerka. In other words, not well.
Instead, the bounty hunter had hit the crane and tumbled to the ground where he lay still. Naturally Ervisa wasn't quite convinced of her success, so she advanced cautiously, with her lightsaber stretched out before her, ready to stab at need.
He was lying very still, and his chest wasn't moving. She poked him with her toe and he lay still. She kicked aside his weapons, and still he didn't move. Ervisa finally checked his neck for a pulse, and she didn't find one.
It was kind of hard to fake not having a heartbeat.
The Mirialan woman deactivated her lightsaber and returned it to her belt, reaching into her pocket for a pack of cigs and a lighter, lighting up one of them and breathing deep, trying to unwind from her fight. She was tense and nervous still, and her hand was shaky.
As much as she hated to admit it, Ervisa Therani was out of practice for this crap. The last thing she'd fought had been an animal, and before that a few poachers. She hadn't been in a lightsaber duel since Felucia, since her Padawan had died.
Dammit, why did you have to think about that?
The Mirialan woman reached down and closed her kinsman's eyes as the station security advanced cautiously. Now she had to do explaining. But as soon as that was over, she needed to go to the bar and drink.
