Species Name: Avron Prime Legion
Species Type: Mammalian Synthetics
Planet of Origin: Unknown. Believed to be Avron Prime I. (In D1 Bottom Left Corner)
Average-Maximum Age: Physical bodies 50-100 years. Programs are sent to another unit.
Average Height: Bipedal, 7'5. Quadruped, 12'9. Varying other unit sizes.
Average Weight: 225 Bipedal, 3000 Quadruped. Varying other unit weights.
Notable Biological Features: Arm guns and blades, Eye receptors, Raised feet heels, Durasteel plating, and Hairless, muscular skin.
Number of Limbs and Type: Bipedal, two arms and two legs. Quadruped, 4 legs and many "tentacles". Varying units have other amounts of arms and legs. Large metallic limbs with some muscular arms and legs and sharp claws on the end.
Appearence: The Legion is pretty much one of the strangest sites in the galaxy. They look like cyborgs at first look but further studying shows that the cybernetics are an actual part of them. Synthesized to them. They have two most common subspecies. The bipeds and the quadrupeds. The bipeds are mostly machine with raised heels and large stature. The quadrupeds are the mobile platform of troops, supplies, or weapons with many grasping tendrils and a long "neck" with eye receptors at the end. The color of their metallic skin differs with rank and job. For example warriors have a bright orange coat while scientists have a dark navy blue coat. There are many other models of the Legion with different appearances. From a dog-like tracker to a circular sub-like tube that searches the water.
Culture: The legion is a very expressive race in its own way. They may look emotionless on the outside but on the inside their language is complex. Tiniest body movements and flashes of eye receptors. Rapid information images and much more. They have a very friendly disposition in its own way. They welcome most anyone into their space station homes and treat them as well as a synthetic being can treat an organic. They are perfect war machines (as seen by sith) but they are utterly peaceful unless attacked. They. May have individual free will but most insist on waiting for the "masters". The masters are like gods to the Legion. Whoever or whatever synthesized them disappeared long ago. It is not known if the Legion's true intelligence was given by their masters or if they slowly upgraded themselves. The Legion is so loyal to their masters they only call themselves the servants and it was the explorers who discovered their space stations above Avron Prime I. Despite being peaceful they will defend their stations and Avron Prime I with their full force. The sith thought the Legion was a hive mind and they could be fooled and overrided. The sith set up bases and attacked just to find out how smart the Legion really was. Even for the sith leading the expedition. Legion society is just keep the stations running, protect them, and improve themselves to serve their masters better. Thousands of sub types of Legion have been discovered and they all have a different purpose. Occasionally semi-sentient species are collected and synthesized for a needed purpose. They revere the ruins on Avron which have 2 different types. A Legion never really dies as when it passes away all its memories are inserted into a new unit. Though the Legion's past is known to them they don't care to share it and avoid answering questions about it.
History: The beginning of the Legion's history is mostly speculation. After careful study of the Legion and Avron itself people have made a pretty reasonable theory. It is believed that the Legion was one of 2 sentient species native to Avron Prime I. It is thought the other specie was extremely advanced and the Legion were their loyal "servants". When the advanced specie discovered synthesization and space flight they saw they needed protectors. They modified the Legion and a large herbivore (which remains have been found on planet). The Legion brought on mind advancements in the herbivores and so started the Legion. As time went on the unknown advanced species took more species and synthesized them for different purposes. Soon they delegated this to the Legion to do. Then a great threat probably showed up. Massive space and planet graveyards are found in a few systems over giving this credibility. Anyway the advanced knew the Legion couldn't win and decided to flee while telling the Legion to hold post. What the advanced specie didn't realize was the threat wanted them not their synthetic creations. The Legion still waits for their probably dead masters. Though many wish to get confirmation from a Legion even the extremely small amount that leave the stations don't tell anything. They were discovered when a group of free lance explorers were searching for mining opportunities. The Legion found them and at first regarded them for possible new Legion types before realizing they were sentient. When the explorers returned home and told their story people flocked to the stations. It was all well to the sith wanted to hack these perfect war machines which even they couldn't replicate. Their attempts caused the Legion to go into war mode for a short bloody time. After the dust settled the Legion went back to work plain as normal. The republic sends repeated alliance envoys to convince the Legion to join the Republic.
