The Maw cluster toward Kessel had it's dangers as all space was like. Yet a small part was just a bit more dangerous a field of ship debrie along with asteroids the grave yard was normally used as a tempary hide-out by most smugglers. As of late anyone entering never left, not because they didn't want too but the newish owners made leaving imposible.
In the area a few ships were hijacked which were owned by different hutt cartels. The hutts had sent ships to their doom not knowing how or why their hunters or cargo ships were disappearing. If they had known how then the hutts could defend themselves and their ships. The only clue was the last signal of sos and then the finding of the crew bodies floating in space. Every piece of tech every nut and bolt was gone.
Once a hutt had installed multiple systems that would call or record it's location and nav directions, instead of being found the nav signal gave it's directions as falling into the event horizion of a maw and being crushed. After that loss the hutts went to doubling the number of ships and guarding them with heavier armored and ships with so many proticals that it would take three hours just to get them started. Still the ships kept disappearing.
With in the field and the maw a lifeless group was dealing damage to every bit of tech that was raised the only tech that was spared was that that was over ten years old. Most of the older tech could not intergrate with the new, so those were left behind. The heads of this lifeless group knew tech well. The sith assassin droid called Ryver/Taym had gathered droids from all over. From the smallest mouse droid to a constructer bot were gathered and called to the maw. Each had their program altered by Taym and had initiated their own release by venting the ship or cargo runner they were loaded on and set the nav comps to take them to the maw. If the ship still had crew that had survived the venting they would be captured when the ship arived at the maw.
Then those beings wheither living or dead were carbon froze and sent to Kessel as workers, that is if they weren't pulled into a maw and crushed. The ships would either be scrapped and/or melted down to make new droid ships. Swarms of droid ship, nay clouds of them floated around till a ship comes into the maw. They would engage and follow their program search for life save-able send to Kessel, take tech, scrap and sort the rest.
With in a central core area Ryver/Taym would and did oversee the whole of every day processing run the ops via remote and only when the situation called for it they would physically engage in the hand to hand combat. Only as a need to do business would they let outsiders into a specific foot hold meeting room. There they would meet outsiders and let them come and go. Yet they would be watched every step outside the maw by every piece of tech. Again they would let another outsider into the maw many they had killed and yet this one seemed from the data collected one to use.....not trust.
At the docking entrance a pair of war droids along with short mount droids were guarding the docking doors. The short mounts with their multiple weapons and heavy raisable shields gave the ward droids the protection they needed. An odd looking protocal droid waited in a sleep-mode for the arrival of the fleshy.
