"I really haven't thought that much about it." Dan gave a nod, it wasn't something he had expected Jaina to have thought much about anyway. Still now that she had the idea perhaps she would think about it. "Perhaps I should do some simulations to decide?" Dan nodded, A good idea, a word to keep in mind, i prefer a fighter because it allows you to get a better feel for your craft, larger ships though have a higher useability. Dan pointed out giving a friendly tip. She brought something to his attention, "What would you like me to show you now? Perhaps my capabilities with the force?" Dan looked to the clock, she was right break was over by about a minute now, Dan stood, I was actually thinking something along the lines of physical training, starting with rock climbing, then perhaps some running around the training room. Force training was going to come after that. Dan pointed to the rock wall that stood about 100 feet, toward the back of the room. I'll be timing you, I've seen kids do this without a harness. Dan said as if challenging her, to ensure he was simply joking he let a grin crop onto his face.
Dan stood with his arms behind his back waiting to see her response. There where safety mats on the floor and he would be ready to catch her in case she should actually fall. But he seemed to have high expectations for his new Padawan.

"Rockclimbing?" Jaina mumbled, though loud enough for Dan to hear her. "Well, that's just fantastic." a mixture of hesitation and sarcasm escaped her lips. She wasn't particularly fond of heights, she often told people. By that, she was rather terrified of them. Taking a glance at the one-hundred foot wall only made her feel all the more frightened. Her fear didn't simply come from falling, necessarily, as she had intentionally jumped from higher heights and used the Force to slow her fall without injury, and even if she fell now, there was a safety pad that would likely cushion her fall flawlessly, with no physical pain to herself. Her paranoia came from accidentally slipping. That moment of helplessness terrified her. Unfortunately, giving Dan a bad showing would also terrify her.
She approached the large wall, neglecting to put on her safety harness after Dan taunted her about the subject. Though it wasn't the Jedi way, she did have a slight aura of arrogance around her."I've got this." she reassured herself. She turned her head to Dan, looked him in the eyes, and nodded, before beginning her ascent to the top of the wall.
The first fifty feet of the wall had been rather simple. She had used very little effort, and still managed to climb all that way in two minutes. Now it was starting to get challenging. Carefully, she placed her hand on a stone directly above her, but couldn't find an area to place her foot. She looked above her for another stone that she could grab onto, but the only one in view was barely out of reach. Doing her best, she raised her toes as high as she could, and was able to grab hold of the grip and pulled herself up, resting her feet on the grip she had moved up from. With a sigh of relief, she realized that her hands were beginning to sweat. Keep going Jaina, it isn't over yet.[/i] she pushed herself in her mind.
For another forty-five feet, Jaina climbed the wall, though this second half was taking much more time. By the time she was five feet away from the end, it had been seven minutes. To Jaina, it had felt like hours had passed by. Between her and the button she had to press to complete the wall was a single stone along a portion of the wall curved slightly outwards. Reaching for it, she realized it was hopeless for her to attempt to climb it; it was at least a foot away from her. It was then that an idea crossed her mind. Perhaps, if she she angled it right, a single leap could launch her to the stone. It was a daring thought, but might actually work. She took a deep breath, and closed her eyes, focusing on the Force. With her eyes still closed, she pushed off the wall at an angle bringing her into arms reach of the stone. Her fingers closed around the gripping stone, and she opened her eyes. Her lungs exhaled with a sigh of relief. In one final motion, she lift herself up with the arm around the gripping stone, and hit the button with her other hand. A congratulatory ringing activated.
Just as she had succeeded, the hand keeping her up slipped and she let out a gasp for breath as she began plummeting down one-hundred feet. In a panic, she attempted to catch herself on one of the stones, but found hands being scraped against the wall. About ten feet from the ground, she managed to get a grip on a stone, and felt her weight jerk on her arm. Then, she simply jumped down and landed on the balls of her feet. Her heart felt like it was pounding out of her chest.
After taking a moment to catch her breath, she turned back to Dan, and approached him. "So how was that?" she said with a chuckle.

"Rockclimbing?" Jaina mumbled and Dan heard it, "Well, that's just fantastic." Dan smiled again. She was going to attempt the climb without a harness, he had reason for that challenge at first, though now finding that she had a slight fear of heights apparently he regretted it a bit. Then thinking to himself as she started up without the harness, What do ya know, my master DID curse me when he said he hoped i got a Padawan JUST like me. Dan thought as she was already getting up rather quickly.
It was an impressive display, she managed the first half of the wall rather quickly in about two minutes despite her fear of the heights, or perhaps it was a fear of falling. She finally completed it with a final short leap to the button. Dan smiled as she caught the ledge and the chirping victorious ringing went off. Dan began a quick shout, See I told you ya' cou--- He stopped as his eyes went wide seeing her slip. With a quick reaction he reached out slowing Jaina only slightly, but he hadn't had enough time to catch her, after she rang the bell he had dropped his guard, so he gave a sigh as she caught herself, then fell the rest of the way down landing safely.
Dan ran up to her quickly, "So how was that?" Dan smiled, Yup, just like me! he said out loud before noticing blood on her left hand, not very much, but he imagined it hurt a bit. Dan pointed to her left hand before speaking a single word. Ouch. He said before motioning to the small med kit that hung nearest them, C'mon! He started to the kit and took a Koltol bandage out of it Before handing it to her. I know little about healing so that's the best i can do. Still feel like finishing your training? Or would you rather get that looked at? Dan asked feeling a little stupid, she wouldn't have gotten hurt if he hadn't tested her without the harness, though that's how people learned most, learning by doing.

Jaina winced as the disinfectant on the bandage applied a stinging sensation while it cleansed the wound. "C'mon Master Dan, do you really consider me to be a quitter?" she smirked at her master, a sense of youthful pride was visible in her smile. "Besides, I've experienced worse before." she said with a hint of arrogance lurking within her voice.
Jaina turned her back to Dan for a moment and lowered the right sleeve of her robe just a bit. While her skin mostly appeared to be fair and fine, upon her right shoulder was a burn mark that appeared to lead further down her back as well. "This is a reminder of the most painful experience I've ever had." she sort of bragged. "Well at least physically at least. You see, I had been with my old master on Vinsoth, exploring how the planet adapted to being hit by an asteroid." the memory of that day began to flow back into her mind. "We had encountered a Sith Knight and his apprentice. Master Sereth fought the Knight while I took on his apprentice. Eventually, my enemy had taken advantage of a flaw in my style, and managed to score a hit on my back." she remembered the burning agony the hit had caused her. "My armor had saved my life, but not before giving me this reminder." she referenced the scar.
Realizing she had zoned out while talking, she turned back to Dan. "Sorry, I must have bored you with that history lesson." she said. There hadn't really been an outlet for her to talk with since her master's turning; Dan had just taken that role. "So was it my capabilities with the force next?"

"C'mon Master Dan, do you really consider me to be a quitter?" Dan smiled, as he shut the med kit, "Besides, I've experienced worse before." Dan raised an eyebrow as she turned a lowered her right sleeve revealing a burn mark that Dan instantly recognized as a Lightsaber scratch. She continued on, "This is a reminder of the most painful experience I've ever had. Well at least physically at least. You see, I had been with my old master on Vinsoth, exploring how the planet adapted to being hit by an asteroid." Dan had turned around to hang the med kit back on the wall, he could still hear her as she continued. "We had encountered a Sith Knight and his apprentice. Master Sereth fought the Knight while I took on his apprentice. Eventually, my enemy had taken advantage of a flaw in my style, and managed to score a hit on my back. My armor had saved my life, but not before giving me this reminder."
Dan had turned back giving a nod to acknowledge ge was following along. It was good she was opening up to him, it would make the two a stronger team in the long run.
"Sorry, I must have bored you with that history lesson." Dan shook his head, No, no, It's fine... He said before she asked her question.
"So was it my capabilities with the force next?" Dan shook his head and pointed to the running track. Running a few laps first, then force training. Dan said as he started walking motioning for her to follow. Once he got to the start line he walked up to the timer, Five laps around the room ought to be enough. Dan said looking at the size of the track, he waited for her to start.

"Just a couple of laps? Finally we do something I actually enjoy." she snickered. "Should be a breeze." For the first time during their training, Jaina felt completely confident in her ability to do something Dan had asked of her. While she may not be the strongest Padawan, or even the smartest, being one of the fastest, if not the fastest moving human Jedi was another aspect Jaina took pride in. She took place at the starting line at the track, and began sprinting around it.
While she was sprinting, however, she was still in deep thought about her old master. Talking about the encounter with the Sith had only brought those memories back. The thought of a man she knew to be wise beyond his years had turned to the dark side because of simple words. If she was faced in the same situation, could she do any better? The thought slightly intimidated her, and she simply ran faster because of it.
Not long after starting, Jaina had completed all five laps. "Told you it'd be a breeze." she said, despite breathing rather heavily.

"Should be a breeze." Jaina said confadently just before starting off. Midway though the run he began running just a little faster.
Dan looked at the timer as she came through the last time. Dan spoke out loud as he approached her noticably tired and panting, Solid 7.34 minutes, very nice! Dan said incouragingly. Her responce was one with Humor and confidence, "Told you it'd be a breeze." Dan smiled.
Having confidence was good, over confidence was something that even Dan struggled with, so he wouldn't be one to actually be yelling at her for it... or yelling at her at all really. He wasn't that type as is.
Dan tossed a small water bottle to her to help her catch her breath, Quick gasping like a fish out of water... then we'll finish up with the force training! Dan said making sure it was known he was joking. He walked with her now to the last corner of the room that the two hadn't been to yet, he sat down and made sure he knew it was alright for her to do so as well with a motioning of his left hand to the seat.

Immediately after receiving the tossed water bottle, Jaina opened it and chugged down the water. "Ah, that hits the spot." she smirked once more before wiping some of the moisture off of her lips.
Refreshed and ready to get the testing over with, she followed Dan down to the one area of the room they hadn't visited yet: the force training room. At his request, Jaina took a seat on his left side and turned her chair to face him. "Well, I guess here's the moment of truth now, isn't it?" she said playfully.
Using the Force was likely Jaina's weakest aspect. Throughout her training, she had been following a path towards being a more physical fighter, a Jedi Guardian, specifically. Her telekinesis was likely her most powerful tool in the Force, and that was one of the most common abilities to master. Whatever Dan had in store for her, she imagined it would be more complex than simply lifting objects off the ground.
"So what's the goal of this test?" she asked, prepared to do whatever she could to leave a good impression.

"Well, I guess here's the moment of truth now, isn't it?" Jaina asked, but it was obviously a joke, Dan's reply was short, simple, and had the same level of seriouseness, in otherwords, it was lacking, Indeed! He said with a smirk.
"So what's the goal of this test?" Dan Sat back in the bench a bit then leaned on an elbow pulling his hand to his chin scratching the chin through the beard a bit. Hm... Was the only noise he made, in truth he hadn't thought that far ahead yet, and he probably didn't need to say anything to make that known or obviouse.
He looked around for inspreation, then saw the crates that had been provided for force training, stacked neatly in the corner, he remebered something that he had to do when he was younger. Dan gave a smile and pointed to them.
He stood and walked over to them; they where stacked from largest to smallest at the time, Dan raised his hand and began pulling them and stacking them in random orders.
You're going to stack them in three pillers, smallest on bottum biggest on top, when i took this test with my master i was much younger then you and i passed... he looked away for a moment, now that he thought about it, he only made two towers and just that took him a while. He continued though. So i'll through in some variables. Dan looked around for a blind fold, but settled with one of the youngling training helmets. He haned it to her after calling it to him from across the room, and continued. You'll be blind, you'll be facing the other direction, and if you're doing well, you'll build the third piller while standing upside down. Dan said as he stepped out of her way.
Oh and i hope the helmet isn't to small! Meant for 10 year olds i think, though it's pretty much universal.

"I've done this before; I remember having struggled with it when I was first tested with it." she said, feeling rather certain in her capabilities to complete this task with flying colors.
As a child, she remembered attempting to complete the challenge over and over again. It wasn't until Sereth had aided her in clearing her mind of any doubts that she was able to fully build each tower. She had come a long way since then, but at the same time, she had much more distracting her now; Sereth's betrayal was always on her mind despite all efforts she made to erase it. Just ignore the thought of him.[/i] she thought. She doubted it would be that simple.
"Oh and i hope the helmet isn't to small! Meant for 10 year olds i think, though it's pretty much universal." Dan said.
When she put on the helmet, she realized that what Dan had said was correct; it was definitely meant for ten-year-olds. It was very compact, almost feeling as if the helmet was grasping her head rather than covering it. Memories of having worn helmets like this when she was younger began to emerge. Of course, at that time, the helmet was much more comfortable and less painful. Upon opening her eyes, she verified that the helmet was doing its job right by preventing her from seeing anything. "Step one complete." Jaina muttered.
From that point, Jaina kept her eyes closed, despite it not being necessary due to already being blinded by the mask. She focused in on the force, rather than focusing in on the objects. It rushed through her body and felt like she was being separated from the natural world into another. Bliss was all her mind felt in this state.
While in this form, she began to shift the boxes in the first tower from smallest to largest. Rather simply, she placed the smallest on the bottom and began stacking them from there. When it came to the second challenge, she turned both away from the blocks as well as continuing to wear the helmet blinding her. That went by just as easily, though it took a bit more time for her to complete the task.
The challenge truly came when she stood on her hands while facing the other direction. Her mind began to conflict with her acceptance of the force. She had managed to place almost every single piece, and just when the last piece had been placed, she broke concentration and fell on her back. She had still succeeded, but the end looked rather sloppy.
After shaking out a bit, she rose from the ground and rubbed her head. Her head had taken a slight bash, but overall she was fine. "Well, I got it." she grinned.

Dan watched as his padawan managed to build the first tower it took several minutes but it got done. Then the second, just as easily. The third one took longer, but right up to the end it managed to go up well. At the end though the last crate went on lopsided, and Onna fell to the ground. Dan knelt down on one knee and looked down to Jaina, "Well, I got it." Dan looked to the tower and nodded, Yes...looks like you did. And I think i found your favorite force power... Dan stood up and held his hand out to help Jaina up, It's falling on your butt. Dan smiled refering to the amount of times she had fallen today. But he smiled to show it was a joke. Dan handed her a bottle of water and took the small helmet that had managed to fall off when she landed. Dan turned to Jaina, Besides, you'll probably find something to tease me about in the future, so i might as well try and keep up while i can. Dan smiled. Well i suppose i did say that would be the just of today. We'll start in with some sort of actual training soon though. In the mean time... Dan looked throughout the room realizing that she had indeed done nearly every thing there was to do in the large room. You can take the rest of the day off... Dan said with a slight sigh. He would need time to think to himself actually, he now had two Padawans, he wasn't expecting that to just pop up like it did. THE END!
