Dan Firestar was in the library about a week after accepting Jaina as his padawan learner. He had decided to go easy on her today and let her have the majority of the day off, all she had today was homework basically. Which was an odd term in it self for the Jedi, normally they just called them studies. Dan hadn't been so easy on himself though, ever sense his run in on Thila with the Sith that he and Cassy had taken down, but in the long run lost the planet, he had regretted not helping more. So his list today was his regular Saber training, force training, physical training. But before he ran his normal course he had stopped by the Library to brush up on something to teach Jaina throughout the rest of the week, only after getting a cup of coffee from the lunch room of coarse. Once there the Tall Human bearded Jedi was greeted by a Rodian Library keeper. "May i help jou wit sometink todays?" The Rodian said in his broken basic, which made Dan almost smile. No thank you, i believe i can find what i need. Dan gave a bow careful not to spill his coffee or drop his data pad that he had almost forgotten he had brought along to copy the lesson on. He walked to the first vacant computer desk and let the force power it on while he sat down and sat his data pad off to the side of the blue glowing keyboard still holding his coffee taking a sip while the computer warmed up. He likely wouldn't notice if someone else sat on the other side of the table or not. ((OOC---I know i misspellt the Rodians words, did that intentionally. ))

Jevan entered the library, stretching to loosen up his muscles. It was still fairly early morning, and much of the large chamber was empty, the silence filling it as it always did. The library was the one of the few places that he could go to really center himself. Jevan closed his eyes, breathing out slowly, and reaching absently to the green cloth wrapped around his neck. He ran a hand through his hair and then advanced further into the chamber, glancing around to see who else might be here so early. He was surprised to his master, Dan Firestar, at one of the terminals across the room, looking through some information on the computers.
In the short time since Jevan had become his padawan, the two had not spent much time together. Jevan was sure that his master had other things to attend to, especially with another padawan to teach, and was doing his best to be patient. His chance to start his training in earnest would come soon. Hia normal habit would have been to cross to the farthest corner of the large room with a data pad, read and relax. But he was trying to overcome his reservations and was curious as to what his master was looking up so early besides, so he crossed the room, taking in the silence and serenity as he approached his master.
Jevan came to the seat across from Firestar, giving a nod to the Rodian library keeper, who he had come to know well in his time at the academy. Firestar seemed very engrossed in both his coffee, and the contents of the computer in front of him, as he did not look up when Jevan walked up. He announced himself with a small smile, bowing to Firestar and remaining standing for the time being. "Good morning master."

((OOC--- Was expecting to do this as a meeting thread but we can do that in blast from the past later, this is fine for now.))
Dan had felt someone familiar coming but ignored it until he spoke. "Good morning master." Hello Jevan, how are you this morning? Dan said leaning on the palm of one hand still looking at his screen. He felt the need to explain himself to his Padawan. I'm rather sorry I've not been able to train you as much as i would like... He had taken Jevan and Jaina on around the same time so getting a schedule that worked for all three was Challenging, if not interesting.
I was planning on giving Jaina the day off, she has research to do, i was planning on dealing mainly with you today, and in a few days at some point start training the two of you on the same days. Dan said giving out some of his plans for the next few days. In a couple of days the three of us need to just sit and talk, get to know each other. Dan said finishing off with his own plans and letting Jevan put in his input.
((OOC---sorry bit on the short side.))

((OOC--- Oh oh sorry lol gotcha that works. And I'll start coloring Jevan's dialogue so it's a little easier to see.))
Jevan took a seat, running a hand through his hair as Firestar outlined his plans, both for Jevan and for his other padawan, Jaina. He knew that she had been chosen as Firestar's padawan about the same time as himself, but beyond that he knew very little about her. In the back of his mind, he wondered if he would be able to work as part of a team with someone he knew so little about.
They would have a chance to get to know each other soon, he was sure. But then, that worried him too; meeting new people was not his strong suit. Those worries evaporated for the moment though when Firestar pointed out that he was planning on dealing mainly with him today. Jevan was excited to hear that he would likely be getting some training today; he was definitely ready to show his master what he could do.
Jevan gave an eager smile. I'm well master, and I'll look forward to that! Jaina and I haven't really had a chance to meet yet. He booted up his own computer, not wanting to seem too much in a hurry to begin training, though he was very excited. I look forward to training with you master, I'm sure that I have a lot to learn from you. He looked across the table at his master, who still had a file pulled up on the computer in front of him. As he pulled up his own file, a record of one of his favorite historical battles, his curiosity got the better of him. Excuse me master but I'm curious, what file are you researching?

I'm well master, and I'll look forward to that! Jaina and I haven't really had a chance to meet yet. Jevan said from across the table, I look forward to training with you master, I'm sure that I have a lot to learn from you. Dan nodded happy to know his student was so enthusiastic. Good to see you so exited, for today though it will just be some small exercises to test you and see what to focus on most. Dan said, there was a few moments os silence before Dan was ready to strike up some sort of conversation, but before he could Jevan beat him to it.
Excuse me master but I'm curious, what file are you researching? Dan had just finished downloading some lessons that he had planned on teaching Jaina, Just finished some lessons for Jaina, was about to get some for you too. Dan thought it was time to get something out in the open, Are you really comfortable with calling me master? If so by all means keep going, it's just i don't normally ask to be called that. Dan said as the download for Jevan began. Any way, what about you, what are you looking up?

Jevan's face fell for just a moment when Firestar told him they would only be doing small exercises. He wanted to see how far he had to go, how his current skills measured up. But he supposed that would come with time. Small training exercises were, after all, the logical place to start. I look forward to it. With that he allowed his face to go back into a smile. It would still be good to get some time in training with his master. It seemed though that Firestar was uncomfortable being called such. Jevan knew that Dan Firestar was not a Jedi master yet. He was a knight, but in Jevan's eyes if the council had given him a padawan, they must have been confident in his ability; not only as a Jedi, but as a teacher.
Jevan wasn't quite sure how to react when Firestar asked him if he was comfortable calling him "master." He had never really thought up until now about how he "felt" about it, it was simply protocol. A thoughtful look crossed his face. He decided simply to approach his instructor's other question first; as to what he was looking up on his computer. The great battles of history had always interested Jevan. Not just because of the value of the combat and strategic information found within, but because of the impact they had on every event to occur after. Many of these battles were the turning points of the wars they were involved in, and history in general.
The one he was looking at now was a perfect example of this. I'm researching the Second Battle of Taris. It's one of my favorite historical battles. There's a lot we can learn from them, I think. The Second Battle of Taris was a perfect example of a turning point, because it was here that Revan first encountered and freed Juhani, a young Cathar who later became a Jedi knight, and was integral in the defeat of the sith Malak much later. Since coming to the academy and first visiting the library, Jevan had always found it interesting how the act of one could determine the fates of so many, an interest that had only grown as his lessons had progressed. He now returned to Firestar's earlier question. Well, I'm used to calling my instructors master. He said with a small smile. He thought for a moment. What does Jaina call you?

I'm researching the Second Battle of Taris. It's one of my favorite historical battles. There's a lot we can learn from them, I think. Dan nodded, history was a section he wasn't great in, but he wasn't horrible either. If his memory served, the second battle of Taris was more a sacking then an actual battle. Granted there was a space battle of sorts, but what was remembered most about it was how Taris fell, billions died in a single day if not trillions. It was such a bad destruction that the reconstruction was still going on today.
Taris...The Coruscant of the rim worlds... Dan said out-loud, though it wasn't really meant to be a conversational piece And was more of a thought.
It was then that Jevan answered his other question. Well, I'm used to calling my instructors master. - What does Jaina call you? Dan responded quickly but not hastily, Well, both really, the reason i ask if your comfortable is simply because i want my students to be comfortable with me, that's the reason people are so insecure around high officials, because of title...but if you're fine with it, then i am too. Dan said finishing his coffee, and the last of the download, he was now ready to go.
When you're done researching we can go. Dan said absent minded shutting the Data-pad off and the computer followed.

Taris...The Coruscant of the rim worlds... Jevan found that observation by his master interesting. It was true, Taris had been the thriving center of commerce for the rim worlds, and even though reconstruction was still being done today, in many ways it still was. The battles that had taken place there, especially the Second Battle, had been terribly destructive. One thing that Jevan had found in his reading was that such turning points were often destructive, if not for one side, than for the other. He listened to Firestar elaborate on his earlier question.
So he simply wanted Jevan to be comfortable with whatever he called him. That was understandable, and using the formal title had made it difficult for Jevan to trust his instructors in the past. He decided to go the way of Jaina and use both his name and title, as the situation demanded. Firestar powered down his data pad and laptop, letting Jevan know that he was ready to begin training whenever he was. Jevan felt the energy surge within him, even if it was small training for now, he was definitely ready to begin. He quickly powered down his computer and stood, stretching. I'm ready to begin whenever you are, Dan. He gave a quick bow and small smile.

I'm ready to begin whenever you are, Dan. Dan smiled as he stood and streached, Then what are we waiting for? He smiled before heading for the door with Jevan.
The walk to the training hall was short with a little small talk on the way. But over all the walk was un-eventful. Once there Dan was ready and had a few tests planned out. He was going to test three things mainly today: Lightsaber skill, Force Skill, and Phisical skills. First up was saber combat with two seperate tests.
He walked to the control panel and motioned to Jevan to stand in the training cercle. There will be times in the future where you are against odds. In these situations you must use your brain, your skill, and most importantly trust in the force. For your first test, you will deal with two level II training remotes. No sooner then Dan said that did he press the key releasing the remotes they cercled Jevan for a few seconds to get a feel for the opponent and waited for him to arm himself.
Begin when you're ready...

Jevan stretched as they entered the training room, the walk from the library to here being relatively uneventful. He was ready to start, the energy from before not yet abated. There will be times in the future where you are against odds. In these situations you must use your brain, your skill, and most importantly trust in the force. For your first test, you will deal with two level II training remotes. Jevan nodded, mentally preparing himself. He was determined to show his master what he was capable of. He followed Firestar's directions, walking to the training circle, and closing his eyes, releasing a deep breath. The two training remotes left their cradles and begin to circle around him, waiting for Jevan to arm himself. Begin when you're ready...
Jevan took a moment to get a feel for the situation before powering on his saber. These were level II droids. Not intensely challenging, but still nothing to shrug off either. As he settled into the opening stance of form I, shii cho, he noted that one was floating off to his side, at about three o'clock, the other directly in front of him. Ready to begin he powered on his training saber, calming his mind as he had been instructed so many times before. The first shot came from behind as the training droid at 3 maneuvered to his back. Pivoting on one foot he turned, raising his saber diagonally to deflect the shot. He detected the shots coming from the other remote just as it fired and ducked down, pivoting back around. The first shot flew over his shoulder, successfully avoided. He blocked the second, which had targeted his lower torso as he stood, holding his lightsaber just slightly diagonal at waist height.
The remote before him now went into a short volley of shots, firing at his head, his left arm, his torso, and finally his feet as the other drifted around the circle. Jevan found himself initially caught off guard by the volley, but closed his eyes as he backed into a more defensive position, focusing his mind once again so as not to be distracted by the rapidity of the attack. He went through his motions, up, diagonal, horizontal, diagonal, successfully deflecting the attack. However, just as he finished guarding the last shot, he realized he had somewhat lost track of the other remote. He felt the shot come from behind him late, just as it came, and leaped into the air, the shot hitting the floor where his feet had been a moment before. Slightly shaken, he landed and settled into a defensive stance, backing away and circling around so that both of the remotes were back in his field of vision.

((OOC--- Your post works fine.))
Dan watched his Padawan as he fought the two drones, he paced from side to side just out side the circle paying close attention to the fight.
Eventually Jevan had lost track of the second remote that almost got a shot in on him, Dan didn't have low expectations of him, but he was still surprised he was able to avoid the bolt. It was at this point Dan felt the need to put in some of his own input. Good work, but keep in mind they now have your weakness, find and exploit theirs before they do the same to you! Dan said watching his student as he backed away making sure he had both the droids in his sights.
Dan was already contemplating his next test, a saber training bot set at around level II would be a decent test for Jevan Dan thought as he punched it into the com but didn't arm it yet, he would let Jevan finish this test and perhaps break for a few minutes before starting the next.

Good work, but keep in mind they now have your weakness, find and exploit theirs before they do the same to you! Jevan nodded as he continued to back around the circle keeping them in sight. They began to firing at in turn at him, single shots, which he repelled while continuing to circle. He thought about his master's direction. He had to figure out the remotes' weakness, and quickly. He couldn't out maneuver them, there were two to his one, and they had more space at their disposal. One of the remotes started another volley, firing at his chest, his arms and finally his head. Jevan remembered his master's advice to trust in the Force above all else. He lifted his saber, beginning to deflect the attack, but this time opening himself up to the Force as best he could, calming his mind. He felt, rather than saw, the other drone begin to float back behind him, preparing to fire again. He continued repelling the first's volley while keeping track of the other. It was then that he realized two things about the drones.
The first was that they were attacking in the same way they had before, trying to get him with a pincer attack from both sides. They were doing that because it had worked on him once. These had limited AI, enough to know what worked and what didn't, but they were also programmed to continue trying what worked. The other was that the droids didn't have access to the Force. They could maneuver anywhere in the space, but he could be aware of the whole space at once; for example, the exact moment when the droid floating behind him at head height coincided with the moment the droid in front of him fired the last shot of its volley at his head. Moving with the quick reflexes the Force granted him, Jevan ducked down and threw himself forward, just as the remote in front of him fired. The blast flew right through where his head had been a moment ago, and hit the remote behind him, sending it reeling to the edge of the circle. Jevan finished the forward roll he had started just as the shot hit, coming up behind the undamaged remote on one knee. He stood and spun on his heel, raising his saber so that it pointed straight at the remote, it's tip hovering just above it's metal skin. A smile crossed his face.

Dan watched as his Padawan over came and defeated the droids.
Good work. The first drone was disabled and the second was programmed to stop when it knew it had lost. And a lightsaber in the face was a good sign that you lost.
Perhaps level three eneimies are better suited for you. Dan said knowing that level III's tried different things unlike the level II.
At any rate i have a new test set up unless you would like a quick break. Dan said as he stepped into the circle with his student waiting for his responce.

Jevan continued to smile, stretching and rolling his shoulders to remain loose as the remotes disengaged, and returned to their cradles. He powered down his training saber, turning to his master. Good work. Perhaps level three enemies are better suited for you. Jevan couldn't help but be a little proud of himself. The hours of training that he had put into his saber training had really been worth it. He hadn't trained with level three remotes before, and so also couldn't help but have a bit of apprehension about what that level of training might entail. Still, he had done well, and was always ready for more.
At any rate i have a new test set up unless you would like a quick break. Jevan hadn't expended very much energy during the last training exercise, and was still feeling ready to go, so he smiled and nodded to Firestar. I'm ready whenever you are. What's the new training exercise? Whenever he trained, Jevan's focus narrowed almost entirely to the task at hand. He couldn't help but to feel confident now, and he was ready for a challenge.

I'm ready whenever you are. What's the new training exercise? Jevan said and Dan began typing into the control panel while explaining the test.
It's a Level II saber training bot, this is slightly different, I'm changing the programing now from here, it is now set to have a decent skill in all saber combat and will revolve through them all. Dan said pressing enter, a few seconds later the bot began approaching the circle.
My advice. Use defensive forms for a while until you get a feel for his styles, then use the weaknesses, granted it will take time, but it is better then charging into a fight without knowing what you're up against. Dan said knowing that after this is Padawan would need a break, so he got one of the waters and set it on the bench and sat down himself.

Jevan stepped back into the center of the training circle. This would be much tougher. As of yet, while he had a good grasp of shii-cho, he had not learned any of the other forms. This droid would go through them all, and have a moderate skill at all of them. Firestar was right, he would definitely need to stay on the defensive. He remembered his classes and his personal research, which had taught him the philosophies of each style, at least to a degree. This wouldn't be like fighting the remotes, he would have to actively look for openings and weakness in the style of his opponent. Jevan had fought saber training droids before, but they had only used Form I before.
While he was apprehensive, he was also energized and focused, ready for a challenge. This also meant that Firestar recognized his ability, which pleased Jevan. He watched as the training droid left it's dock and walked to the center of the circle, facing him. He looked the droid up and down. It was no doubt stronger than he physically, which would make it especially dangerous in more aggressive forms. Jevan settled into the opening stance of Shii-Cho, closing his eyes and taking a moment center his mind, let the force flow through him. When he opened his eyes, he felt stronger, more confident. He saw the droid settle into the same stance. Good, it'll be starting in Shii-Cho, he thought, It'll give me a chance to get acclimated. With that, he ignited his lightsaber.
The droid ignited it's own, and the match was on. Jevan and the droid circled each other for a moment, as if each was looking for a suitable place to begin the exchange. Jevan followed his master's advice, and did not make the first move, waiting instead in a defensive stance. The droid made the first move, moving in and launching a broad, sweeping strike aimed at his right shoulder. Jevan lifted his own saber, angling it a bit to block the attack. The droid pulled back and followed with a short volley of strikes, starting with a short sweep towards Jevan's knee. He twisted his blade to protect his leg, and then brought it back up to guard the droid's two following strikes to his shoulder and wrist. They disengaged and Jevan stepped back, moving towards the middle of the circle.
The exchange had been brief, but Jevan could tell that staying in conflict with the droid for too long would be dangerous. He had to try to go on the offensive, or he would wear himself out defending. He stepped in now, bringing his saber up in a diagonal arc towards the droid's wrist; a traditional disarming blow. Suddenly, the droid took a large step back, extending it's saber and using the tip to redirect Jevan's attack, sending the tip of his saber towards the floor. He pulled his saber back up into a defensive stance, noting the droid. It was standing straighter now, it's lightsaber flicking back and forth like a snake. This must be..Makashi. He remembered that Makashi was the counter-form to Shii-Cho, and wanted to yell at himself for being so foolish.
The droid moved in and began to attack. Instead of using broad, sweeping strikes this time, it utilized small precise sweeps that allowed it to attack much faster. It went for his wrist, his neck, his waist, his leg. Jevan struggled to keep up, but managed to parry each assault, continuing to circle as he defended himself. After a moment they disengaged again, and Jevan took the moment of respite to think. Makashi countered disarms. His best guess was that his strike at the droid's wrist had caused it to switch to the appropriate defensive form, and continue from there. He couldn't stay on defense though, his master had pointed out that he had to find the weaknesses, and for that he would have to test the waters. Jevan moved in, and began a new attack pattern. He made sure to avoid disarming blows, instead using Shii-Cho's sweeping strikes to attack the droid's legs and neck in rapid succession, hoping to catch it off guard with quick positional changes.
Makashi was a strong form, but Jevan realized that the droid had a weakness when using it. Makashi, Jevan remembered, required a lot of fluid motion, and precision as well. The droid was set for moderate skill in the form, but it was still a droid, and while it excelled in precision, it's motions were naturally less fluid. It parried three or four of Jevan's strikes, and then attempted to disengage. Rather than doing so himself, Jevan stepped in again and executed a spin to one side, extending his saber at shoulder height. He was rewarded with the sound of light hiss. The droid had moved, but he had managed to get a touch on it's arm, at about the mid point on the shoulder. Jevan quickly returned to a defensive position. But he realized something now. Shii-Cho gave him flexibility. And rather than going for traditional strikes, as the droid likely knew them all, unpredictability was his ally here.
He and the droid circled each other again for a moment, but the droid did not attack, instead maintaining a defensive stance that Jevan did not recognize. He realized that the droid must have changed forms again, but he would have to attack to figure out which. Cautiously, he stepped in, making a swing for the droid's chest. The movement it made wasn't so much a slash as a twist of the wrist, bringing it's blade up and diagonally to block. It then disengaged and swung horizontally, Jevan blocking vertically just in time to avoid the strike. It then gave a strong push outwards, and Jevan found himself knocked back a couple of steps, his lightsaber pointed down at the ground for a moment before he recovered and brought it back into a defensive stance. He couldn't tell exactly what form it was, as it could have been Soresu or Shien, but it was clearly defensive and that was a problem. He couldn't use that same tactic as before to attack.
Jevan stepped in again testing the waters with a strike at the knees. The droid brought its blade down too quickly, catching his strike and pushing again. This one had the potential to throw him into the air, but Jevan disengaged at the last second, hopping backwards to safety. The droid was defending, and then counterattacking. He needed a way to use that to his advantage. The droid still didn't have the force in its list of advantages, maybe he could use that. Jevan closed his eyes, focusing on calming his mind. He doubted that he could push or pull the droid to any significant effect, but that wasn't what he had in mind. If he didn't linger after his strikes, it would be more difficult for the droid to counterattack. Jevan launched into a string of attacks, going after the droid's neck, legs, head and shoulders. Rather than locking with the droid for any significant amount of time, he pulled back slightly after each attack, lessening the amount of time their blades were in contact.
Rather than being able to counter, the droid had to defend, backing in a circle around the outer edge of the training area. This hit-and-away technique was keeping the droid from retaliating, but it also wasn't getting Jevan anywhere, and he was expending precious energy. At last he put his plan into effect. He swung high overhead, bringing his blade down to bisect the droid. The droid countered appropriately, blocking horizontally at about chest height. It went to throw him back again, but this time Jevan was prepared. As the droid went to push him, he spun to the side and around, letting the blade of his saber roll off the edge of the droid's. The droid stopped it's push, but stumbled forward just a bit. As it did, Jevan's spin had taken him to the droid's outside. He continued the spin, extending his hand, and aimed a force push at the droid's knee joint. The unexpected push combined with its momentum brought the droid down on one knee, and Jevan allowed his spin to take him behind the droid, where he finished with a slash to the droid's back. It stumbled forward again just a bit, and then turned around, raising it's saber over it's head as Jevan settled back into his defensive stance.
He barely had time to think before he was on the defensive. The droid leaped high into the air, bringing a slash down towards Jevan's head. He knew better than to try to block that, and spun to the side, avoiding the slash. If he had hoped to catch the droid off guard again he was wrong. The droid was after him, executing high, powerful slashes and even some physical attacks, which Jevan was forced to avoid. Amidst defending, he realized that this was Ataru. The droid was on the offensive, and Jevan had to figure out a way around the wall of attacks coming at him fast. He was tired, and sweating. He'd wanted a challenge and he'd definitely gotten one. He continued to repell the droid's vicious attack, trying to stand his ground.
He had to use the droid's almost blind offensive to his advantage, but how? He noted the droid's stance whenever it attacked. When it went for high, powerful swings, it spread its legs, stabilizing itself for the attack. That gave Jevan an idea. The droid swung a broad sweep at his chest, and he ducked underneath, rolling to the side. He came up on one knee, and turned to catch the droid's next attack. He led the droid around the circle, defending until the droid was in the center of the circle, and he stood about a meter away, holding his ground again against the droid's attacks. Finally the moment came. The droid spread it's feet and swung high, as if to bisect Jevan. He closed his eyes, concentrating, letting the force flow through him. The attack came down and Jevan blocked horizontally. Instead of standing his ground though to initiate a lock, he let his knees bend, using the kinetic energy of the attack push him onto the ground on his back. At the same moment, he threw his arm out behind him, using the force to push himself through the droid's legs. He came up on one knee on the other side, spun, and slashed the droid behind its knees. Then he threw a force push into the same spot, forcing the droid down onto them. He stood and stepped in, bringing his saber to rest at the back of its neck.

Dan watched as the duel went on, attack after attack where made and it went on for a good 10 or 12 minutes. More then once it appeared to Dan that Jevan would be hit, esspeasialy as the droid went into higher more dangerouse forms like Ataru, but to his great suprise Jevan was successful and eventually over came the difficult form by sliding under the droid and getting a quick slash at the back of the knees before standing with a great victory for someone his age.
Good work Jevan! Dan said standing with the water no sooner then the droid reset and move back to it's recharge point. Not many your age who preform so well against a setting such as that. He said handing Jevan the water knowing he would need it after such a display.
You get a short break before the next few tests. Dan said walking with Jevan back to the bench, he thought that he might as well bring something up to talk about while he was at it.
What sort of out of class things are you enterested in? Dan asked just as they reached the bench, at the same time Dan was starting to think of something else to test the boy in, likely force skill, and phisical trates next he thought but remained scilent until Jevan answered.

Good work Jevan! Not many your age who preform so well against a setting such as that. Jevan stood in the center of the circle, breathing heavily. He accepted the water from his master as the droid returned to its docking station, powering off his lightsaber. It had been a hard-fought battle, but he'd managed to win! A smile painted his face as he returned with Firestar to the bench. You get a short break before the next few tests. He didn't want to admit it, but he was worn down from the battle, and he definitely needed the break. He nodded, sipping at the water. It had been a close thing. He would need to train more, and harder to surpass his performance today, as a fight with a trained opponent, and a human one at that, would be something else entirely. Absently, he reached up to the eye-wrap around his neck, adjusting it. It was his reminder that one could never be too well trained. He sat down heavily, sipping from his water again, just as his master spoke.
What sort of out of class things are you interested in? Jevan was surprised by the question; he wasn't used to small talk. It was something he knew he had to improve upon, a Jedi had to be able to interact. But he still had to think a moment before he responded. Well, I love to read, you'll almost always find me in the library. He did a lot of research for classes in the library it was true, but he also loved all kinds of literature, though his partiality was towards famous historical battles. I also love dejarik, but I actually haven't played in a long time. He had actually been quite skilled for his age once, but since Lierra's death, he hadn't had anyone to play with, or been able to bring himself to.

Dan listened to his padawan who spoke about his hobbys. Well, I love to read, you'll almost always find me in the library. Dan smiled, Hmm...yes i remember you where reading about Taris. I enjoy some books myself. Dan said as a quick statement not intended to interrupt his Padawan. Jevan continued with another hobby, I also love dejarik, but I actually haven't played in a long time. Dan thought for a second, he recognized the name but it took him a few seconds to remember what it was. Ahh...Yes dejarik, I know it better as Holo Chess, though the correct term is dejarik. Dan said recognizing that Jevan hadn't played in some time, he felt like some memory had been tied to it but could pinpoint what it was. He decided to leave it alone for the moment, eventually he knew that there would be no room for secrets between him and his students, but knew that time would come when both knew each other better.
What type of food's do you like? Dan asked realizing that even though he had got coffee, he had been in to much of a hurry to get food this morning, so he thought that perhaps on this break the two could eat before returning to training. Yet another thing he noticed is that Jevan didn't have a lightsaber yet, or a real one to be precise, he had a training blade, but would need a real one if he was to ever accompany Dan on any more dangerous missions. You hungry?

Jevan managed to cheer himself back up, as his master spoke again. What type of foods do you like? and then a moment later, You hungry? Jevan knew that he would eventually have to explain a few things to his master, but there would be time for that. Right now, he was enjoying training, and getting to know Firestar a bit better. All kinds really, though anything spicy I love. Jevan said with a little laugh. The training thus far had definitely helped him build up an appetite; he could feel his stomach rumbling. Some food before the next few tests would be welcome.
He nodded, smiling and rising to his feet. I could definitely use something to eat. Dan rose as well, and they began to walk to the kitchens. As they went, Jevan enjoyed the sounds of life in the academy around him. Younglings and padawan walking to and from classes, chattering, training in the classrooms they passed by. The academy was definitely a wonderful place, and another one of Jevan's favorite things to was to simply walk through the grounds and enjoy his surroundings. They had been walking for a couple of minutes before Jevan realized he hadn't been saying anything. He almost laughed, this social thing was going to take more time than he thought. And he was going to have to open up to his master some time.
As they approached he spoke up, smiling as he smelled the food. So, what kinds of things do you like to do?
