The walk from the Training rooms to the food hall was mostly quiet until the two actually where about to enter and Jevan asked Dan this time, So, what kinds of things do you like to do? Dan smiled happy he had asked, he felt Jevan was slightly Un-easy around conversation in general, so it was good to get any type of talking it. Well, let's say it is a good thing i took both of you two in as my padawan's- Dan began as he made it to the food area of the room and began selecting from the contents on the long table. It was quiet in the Cafe' it was like normal for him to get there late after all the breakfast eaters where gone and still roughly an hour before lunch normally began.
He selected from the left overs mostly being bacon, sausage, egg's, waffles with little pieces of Chocolate in them. He had to take in a large variant for two reasons, he was constantly working out or training, and two there was normally little bits of every thing left, not large amounts.
Dan continued where he had left off, - Before you two came along my day was routine, get up go study, train a bit, i get to fly a bit, then train more. My hobby's where confined to reading something after training hours and flying my starfighter. Dan pointed out filling a mug with coffee and adding a bit of sugar and a little cream in it too, only small amounts though.
For me training was in basic terms a hobby that took a great deal of my time. More so now then ever, with the war and more dangerous missions that i take on. He said, and continued, I do enjoy it as much as i do flying or reading, heck, i even watch Holo shows at times. Surprisingly there are a few good ones out there.

Jevan smiled a little as Dan perked up at his question and began to talk. He chuckled a little when he brought out that it was a good thing he had taken padawan learners. Jevan went through the cafe line, picking through some of the leftovers from the morning meal. He chose some eggs, bacon, sausage and cereal. He chose juice for his drink, and headed towards a table with his master. He was used to this, as most mornings found him in the library, long after the actual breakfast meal had been served. They came to the table at last and sat, and Jevan listened to Firestar tell him a bit more about himself.

Jevan ate and listened attentively as his master spoke, sipping at his coffee from time to time. He was pleasantly surprised. Firestar was actually much like him. Jevan devoted himself to training and reading more than almost anything else. After Lierra's death, he had been determined to be as prepared as possible for whatever might come his way, and that meant a lot of time in the classroom, the library, and the practice rooms. He could respect that Dan spent so much time honing his abilities. He nodded as his master finished, smiling. I understand that, I'm actually the same, most days you can find me in the training room or the library.
Perhaps it was the force's will that he be placed with a master so much like himself. Besides dejarik, I don't have a whole lot of other hobbies, but I'm trying to work on that. He ate a bit more of his food, sipping at his drink. I'd like to learn to fly one day, it sounds like fun.

I understand that, I'm actually the same, most days you can find me in the training room or the library. Dan nodded, Much like myself at your age, and now. Dan said letting Jevan continue taking in a little food while he talked.
Besides dejarik, I don't have a whole lot of other hobbies, but I'm trying to work on that. Dan smiled, being a Jedi he knew something that most Jedi knew, but few outsiders did, not because it was the galaxies best held secret or anything, but because things get lost including history, You probably already know this, but dejarik actually has Jedi origins. Dan said before Jevan continued expressing an interest in one of Dan's hobbies. I'd like to learn to fly one day, it sounds like fun. Dan nodded remembering his times in the cockpit of his starfighter. It is fun, not for the faint of heart, but fun, it is also a skill that comes in handy for more then just recreation. Perhaps I'll show you my ship some time, give you some lessons. Dan said before taking another bite from his stack of waffles.

Jevan perked up, pleased. He smiled, but at the same time was surprised. The teachers had always been kind, but none of them had ever really taken a personal interest in him. Lierra had been the only one to really ever do that. Really? I'd like that! It sounds like a useful skill to have. Jevan was also familiar with dejarik's origins, it was something that few people short of historians would know outside of the Jedi order. Jevan had actually always thought of lightsaber dueling as an extension of dejarik.
And I did know about dejarik's origins, I always thought that was interesting. I like the strategy of it. Actually, I always thought it might be a good way to look at dueling. It had actually been Lierra who had pointed out to him that almost everyone drew their technique in combat from some other activity. Ever since then, Jevan had tried to follow her advice and cultivate a strategic, but outside the box approach to combat in his training. Jevan finished up his food, swallowing down the last of his juice with a gulp.

He thought it would be a good time to start a short conversation about the next lesson. I was thinking for the next test, being something along the lines of force skills followed by a bit of physical training? Dan asked, he knew his student wouldn't be lifting 80 pound bar weights, but at the same time he may be a good climber, or runner perhaps. How well are you in those settings?

Jevan stretched, nodding to his master with a smile. He had enjoyed the chance to sit with his master and talk a bit, and breakfast had been great. Now that his energy was renewed though, he was ready to get back to training. I'm ready to get back to it. Jevan knew that he wasn't the strongest, although given his age that was to be expected. Where his talents truly lied were in speed and agility. I'm pretty good in the physical area. I'm not the strongest I'll admit, I'd say speed and agility are my strong suits. He'd always made it a point to be very aware of his own abilities. Knowing what he was good at and what he was bad at could mean the difference between life and death.
In force skills, I could use some training. Up until now most of my training's been in physical areas, or lightsaber combat. Jevan had a fair understanding of telekinetic skills, and his senses were very strong, most likely because of his heritage. The other areas though he hadn't had much of a chance to train in.

Dan had finished a few seconds after Jevan, but he also ate a lot more being older. Jevan was standing as Dan packed the last piece of bacon and waffle. I'm ready to get back to it. Dan stood, In a hurry are you? Dan joked even though it was likely true. I'm pretty good in the physical area. I'm not the strongest I'll admit, I'd say speed and agility are my strong suits. Dan nodded taking note, In force skills, I could use some training. Up until now most of my training's been in physical areas, or lightsaber combat. By this time the two where on their way out of the lunch room and as he passed the food table he noticed it must have almost been lunch time, because lunch food was being set out on the tables. I'm getting hungry... Dan said looking at the fresh food. He continued on any way and by the time the two where in the halls again he picked up the conversation. Again it's likely we will only do some easy tests today so i get a feel for your progress. Dan said as they walked, a few more minutes went by before they made it to the training room.
He looked around a moment thinking about what to start him with. He eventually walked toward the back wall. In that area was the physical training area, there was the start point for the running track that went around the room, there was a rock wall that made up the actual back wall, then there where weights, and for force lifting large sized crates.
Dan walked up to the wall and grabbed the harness, Try the rock wall first. Dan said, holding the harness out for his student. I'll be timing you by the way. He said lifting his hand toward a clock and flecking his wrist starting the timer.
