`LAYLEE MADOON
Name: Laylee Madoon
Race: Human
Age: 25
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 146 lbs.
Birth place: Tatooine
Appearance: Her build is like any normal Jedi woman who has trailed for the past 19 years of her life. She's muscular, with an agile look as well, but you can definately tell that Laylee is strong. Her height balances out that look though, so she doesn't look bulky. Her arms have fine curves, her legs are hard from running, and there are visible abs on her stomach. She has a few scars along her body as well. Laylee has two scars on her left arm, one near her wrist and one just under her shoulder. There is also one on the calf of her right leg.
Her flawless-looking face is apple-shaped, and the color of, what we would call, a latte. It's light, and her face is flawless of scars. Laylee's eyebrows are chocolate brown, and turned upward in an arch. She always has a curious, mischivious look about her even if she hasn't raised her eyebrows one bit. Her eye sockets are not small, nor big, jsut right in the middle to let enough of those beautiful hazel eyes shine under dark lashes. Laylee's lips are always a light shade of pink, small but thick, and a warm smile usually graces through them if she's in a good mood.
Now, let's move on to her hair. If she's on a mission and not lounging around the Jedi Temple, her hair is usually tied up in a bun, ponytail, or braid, but if she has no current thing to do, she lets her chocolate brown hair fall down her shoulders. It is rather long as well, and ends about at her mid-back area. It is not curly, nor is it straight, but right in the middle stuck between the two, and all the way down her back is twisting and turning into waves.
Her gait is graceful, a swift, strideful movement that carries her with elegant ease. She stands up straight and tall, usually at her full height, unless she is mourning something and is sad, then it seems as if she shrinks a bit.
She speaks with a soft tone, one as smooth as a river, but sometimes as coldly as daggers piercing your back. She has a slight British accent as well, if we were to be speaking in our terms of accent.
She wears simple clothes of a black long-sleeved shirt, and khaki pants. Her boots are black and reach just below her knees. If travelling, she often wears a dark brown robe with a hood to conceal her identity. She has a thick black belt that wraps around her waist and holds the only weapon she carries: her lightsaber.
Personality: Laylee is honored most for following her conscience and being true to herself. She never goes against what her insticts and heart tell her. You know that expression, "Follow your heart"? Laylee lives by that fully and doesn't let it go. This is, perhaps, one of the main reasons she makes good decisions most of the time.
Her extroversion is low. Laylee is a quiet soul, though she is not shy. Shy? I laugh at you if for one second you thought this girl was shy. No, she is NOT shy. She's just quiet, and tends to stick herself in with the crowd, maybe making it one reason why she is not as well known by the Jedi as some are. She only speaks when spoken to, and is usually never caught saying more than one sentence.
If you get in an arguement with Laylee, be prepared for the fight of your life. Debates, compromises, she has to have it her way. Laylee is, perhaps, one of the most unagreeable people you will meet. She's very stubborn and wants a certain way at a certain time, even if it can not be given, she's asking for it. In some situations, it's a valued trait, but in social situations, she makes people want to punch her in the mouth.
Rarely does she get frustrated. Laylee has an emotional stability that proves good or bad in some situations. She's rarely caught mad or crying, and her temper is very low, meaning she doesn't anger easily. She keeps everything level, and tries not to make a scene out of anything. Most think she's trying to play tough - and maybe that is the case here, but whatever it is, she's always been able to hide her emotions like a cat hides its prey.
Her openness qualities are low. In fact, Laylee isn't all too brave when it comes to exploring new lands. Sure, she'll do fine with some mission, but finding out new things such as unexplored planets, species, or people isn't up her alley. She also isn't that open to knew people, and maybe that's why she can't get a decent boyfriend anyway - or it's just the fact that it's against the Jedi rules, but whatever. Point is, she can't make friends as easily as others.
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Jedi Knight
Lightsaber: Her weapon is a single-handed lightsaber, and is similar to the one her Jedi Master Unijja used. It's hilt is a vertically straight tube, the color of sterling. It's metal used is shiny and light, but strong to prevent it from breaking if hit by the opponant's lightsaber. It has two black notches on the from where the light is directed out from. One has the button to sheathe and unsheathe the blade, while the other is just there to grip onto. Though it is often unseen, there are small notches in the lightsaber so Laylee can get an easy grip on the hilt, so it is not easily knocked from her grasp in battle. Bio:
BIRTH: From the time her family knew of Jila Madoon's pregnancy, Laylee as automatically put into the humbling life of a slave. From the sandy planet of Tatooine, this little girl would grow up to be much more than a lowly peasent working for food. Though, like the rest of her family, she would have a master, just one totally different than the ones they had.
So, Laylee Madoon was born to the family. Mother, father, and brother celebrated the birth of a new child, though sadness coursed through them that she had been born into a life of tradgedy and hard work.
At the age of three, Laylee was old enough to begin her job at the farm. She helped plant crops with her mother, but longed to be something more. Everyone on the farm recognized her as a strange child, for she liked to build things and read about what was happening in the sky above her. It wasn't before long, when she was five, that she began to have dreams of being a Jedi and saving the universe. She got behind in work and was punished and beaten. Perhaps this is why there are scars along her arms and legs today. Still, she never gave up hope.
On her sixth birthday, a strange man and woman in a decked out ship visited Tatooine. Their strange appearance brought in a lot of the population who lived there to Mos Eisley. They claimed that they were looking for someone, and when Laylee travelled with her master into Mos Eisley that day to pick up some planting supplies, they walked right over to them.
Laylee had only dreamed of being one of these people, but she never imaged meeting one! They said that they wanted to test Laylee for a few things, because the Force had drawn them to her like a magnet.
So, after being bribed by money, the master, Boid Barins, brought Laylee back to the farm, where the strange Jedi took her off to themselves and sat down with her.
They introduced themselves as Tarishakk Bane, and Unijja Waver. They told the young girl that they had been drawn here because of Force Sensative activities, and that they wre on the way to the farm when she arrived in town with her master.
After her mother (the only family member left by this time, because the father and brother had been sold) and her master agreed, Laylee was taken away by Tarishakk and Unijja to the Jedi Temple, where Laylee would, again, be tested by the Council to see if she was fit enough for training.
YOUNGLING: It was shown, then, that Laylee truly did possess a Force Sensativity that brought her to the requirements of becoming a Jedi later on in life. She could not contain the excitement, for now, she was going to be trained to be a Jedi!
She trained hard, and showed a high peak above many others of master of the Shii-Con skills at age nine. She'd learned most of the moves, and was rushed about to study, meditate, and train more. She was going above and beyond to get that Padawan rank once she turned thirteen, and during this time she was catching a certain Jedi Master's eye.
PADAWAN: Once she was thirteen, Unijja Waver discussed with the Jedi Council that she would like to train the youngling, because she noticed how special she seemed to be with the aspects of learning. They let her, and Laylee strived under a great master to start the final stages of apprentice-hood. Laylee really felt like she could relate to the female Twi'lek and a relationship started quickly.
Quickly, did news spread across the Temple of this young padawan and her master. Council members were eager for the day when she should be tried before becoming a Knight.
At age thirteen, Unijja granted Laylee the reward of going to construct her own lightsaber, after having to work with one she had been randomly given at the age of six. So, once there, Laylee was inspired by her master's sharp, deadly-looking blade, that she styled her similarly to it and took a great amount of time to do so.
Soon after, Unijja was sent on a mission, that required Laylee to join with her. They were to rescue a group of Jedi who needed reinforcements because they had been caught by a group of three Sith who weren't as dumb as they sounded.
Laylee was pumped. She'd finally get to try her hand at defeating real enemies, rescuing real Jedi, and getting claps on the back from one happy Jedi Order. How could it get any better?
It didn't get better. It got worse. In the fight, all Jedi were rescued except for her master, who died at the hands of one of the Sith. Laylee was forced immediately to take the Jedi upon herself and get the back to the Temple. It's a good thing all those mechanics came along at her young age, and she knew how to pilot a ship. She got all of the Jedi home safely, but still suffered the guilt of letting her master die.
She was, shortly after, assignted a new master, which wasn't as friendly as Unijja. He still treated her kindly, but the fellow human just didn't lack the skills that Unijja possessed. Yijo was just not the same.
And training passed slowly.
JEDI KNIGHT: She passed her test easily, and was given the traits of "graceful and swift to think," which suited her well. Her master was happy about her graduation, but had to quickly leave before he could congradulate her.
She lives on now as a clever Jedi Knight in the Jedi Temple.
RP Sample: The large spheric ship passed silently through the twinkling stars. It's cordinance was headed straight for Aldaraan, where Laylee had been stationed on a mission to take out a Sith who was causing havoc among peaceful peoples.
Her fingers laced together in her lap, as she cautiously glanced around the space-craft. Hazel eyes were alert, watching outside of her enclosure to insure that no enemy ships had targetted and followed them this far out into open space. If so, she'd have to tell the troopers to get to the guns and lead on an ambush - if they weren't being ambushed themselves.
All of these thoughts and plans that were progressing through her mind caused her and fellow Jedi aboard unsettlement. They all were, too, looking around cautiously for any source of the Imperials catching up with them. They all knew it would be a dangerous mission, but one that needed conquered to insure peace among Aldaraan.
Finally, the ship entered the atmosphere of the large planet, covered with lush forests and many, many species of Galactic and Imperial people alike. You can do this, Laylee told herself as she exhaled a nervous breath. Her heartrate picked up as they landed.
A disturbance picked up immediately as the ship touched the earth, and Laylee knew that they were in for it. There was something waiting just outside, or at least close. Slowly, slowly, the ship's big metal doors creaked open, and standing right there was the Sith.
A blue lightsaber immediately emitted a blue-casting light into the dark ship and Laylee rushed forward at the hateful brute.
