Name: Joran Sco'Gal
Race: Human
Age: Twenty-Three
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 170 lbs.
Appearance: Out of battle, Joran just wears standard Jedi regalia, much like Obi-Wan's. He has the tan vest and the leather boots, along with the long sleeve tan undershirt. This also includes the belt with its attachment for his lightsaber. When he is in combat he tends to get a bit more protective and switches up his clothing choice, even altering the color. When in combat he dawns his black vest with a brown undershirt, belt included as well. But in addition to the new regalia, he wears trooper gauntlets and boots for extra protection, as well as their shoulder pad like attachment, which protect his shoulders and throat. He can also be seen wearing his brown robe with his first choice, and his black robe with the second - but he rarely wears them.
His face is nothing special besides its average attractive appearance, and the fact that he has prominent cheek bones. His eyes are fairly cold looking though, showing a lack of emotion - really, and they happen to be gray. Joran also has medium length, dirty blonde hair, but keeps his bangs out of his face to avoid any confusion whilst battling or training.
Jis an average height man, with above average weight due to his muscular physique. Like most humans he has somewhat pretty lips, which are a pale pink in color and are soft. His build is very athletic from his extensive training, but his body is unscathed - due to the fact that he hasn't actually been in combat. His body may have some bruises on it sometimes, from pushing his training to far - but other than that he is practically flawless. His muscles are not bulgy either, they are small and compact but are impossibly toned. He also has a Twi'lek tattoo from his former master that is on his left peck, but he refuses to acknowledge it, generally, due to his distaste for his former master.
Personality: Joran is actually somewhat complex, more so than the average warrior should be. He is brave, because he would risk his life to protect his fellow Jedi - given the right reason, and he would die - if possible, to protect his people, the Republic. But he is also quite the jealous type, more so of those that are more powerful than him in the Force. He is vengeful as well, showing that if someone hurts the Republic, he will go and destroy everything they are - not even sparing a soul. And he makes sure that if anyone crosses him that they will be severely punished, because he has an extreme vengeance on people. But he is also caring, and a lover - showing that he cares somewhat about women that are nearest him.
Surprisingly he actually loves his former master and his peers, regardless of how much they piss him off - and they usually do. But he is also an undeniable fighter, because that is his life and his profession, which makes up a huge percentage of his personality. He is often seen using his love of fighting on others, making them have the same passion for it that he does, and that gives him great amusement. But he, like all the Jedi, are peace enforcers, so even if it contradicts - he still wishes to get peace throughout the galaxy. Joran, more than the others, craves the attention that he is given, because not many peoples want to show their love and dedication to a bastard child that is a failure as a Jedi as well, in the aspect of Force combat. He is impressionable, however, so everything is subject to change.

Bio: Where should I begin? My life isn't all that exciting, but I can humor you - so lets get this started.
I was born in 3578 BBY to my loving mother and father on a immigrant planet called Corulag, in the Corulus System. I grew up playing around in the urban sprawls with fellow human beings, but also along other species - which was a rather enlightening experience. Even at a young age I was familiar with Wookies, Selkath and Ilorians - and that was just a few, there were many more. My father was a simple man of the Republic, he was human and his name was Arcel Sco'Gal, a professor at Corulag University of Economics. My mother, Juno Sco'Gal, was also a rather important individual on Corulag - being that she was a special engineer for something called the Sienar Advanced Research Division. There was once exception to my birth though in a local hospital, that would significantly change my life forever, and for the best. There was one thing that designated the 'normal' people and those that were capable of harnessing the Force - their midi-chlorian count.
When I was born my midi-chlorian count was apparently abnormally high, therefore I was immediately visited by a local Jedi that wished to put me through training. Of course my parents were skeptical of this, but they accepted - dealing with the fact that they would have to give their child up at the ripe age of four. But enough of that - back to my life on Corulag, as brief as it may have been. Like most of the young children, I just roamed the streets playing tag and various other things, whilst visiting bamboo forests with my family - considering the fact that they covered most of the planet. Every few days, however, my parents would take me to a local raceway where swoop races were held, and that was a highlight. Those races were what brought me up to love technology, but not only love it - but want to revel in it, and want to be a pilot. I knew my dreams of being a Republic fleet pilot were short lived though, because it was my destiny to become a Jedi. What happened next, however, wasn't something that I really remembered - just sorrow, tears and confusion - as I was taken from my parents.
All I really had to remember my parents was a locket that I was given as I left, and I held onto that - and I still do so to this day. The Jedi that was assigned to escort me to the temple had told me that we were going to a place called Shedu Maad, which I hadn't really been familiar with - but that wasn't to be anything of disbelief, because it is a secret. Upon my arrival I was taken to where the other younglings were kept, and told to stay there until the time came for me to actually be of use - well, I put it that way, they said it a lot more nicely. I was put in a 'clan' with other children under the jurisdiction of a master by the name of Anoon'Secura, which was a Twi'lek. That began my training as a Jedi, informally - because I began to learn of the Force and what it meant to be a warrior. In the time that we were alotted as 'free time,' I managed to make some acquaintances and actually feel a bit more comfortable with my surroundings, enough so that I didn't show any sign of depression for being away from my parents. Alongside the other children, I watched and listened to Anoon and hoped to further my understandings of the Jedi Order, because I was destined to become a soldier of the Force, much like he had become.
When I turned eleven I was chosen by my mentor, Anoon'Secura - to become his padawan, out of all the children in the clan. I was honored and I gladly listened to everything that he said, and began my training - hopeful to prove my worth. From the beginning there seemed to be a bit of tension between us, and that wasn't something we had hoped for - I know that much for sure. My lack of ability to grasp the Force completely, irritated him, and he tried to bash the idea into my head - to bash the ability into me. There was minimal potential for me to grasp said power, but my prowess with a blade was much more interesting - and to him, it sort of balanced out my incapability to harness the Force to its utmost potential. Whilst training I was informed of a fighting style known as Shii-Cho, and it quickly became something fascinating to me. You see, where I lacked in 'mysticism,' I made up for in brute strength and speed and cunning. This is where my lessons in combat began, and where I was shown that mercy was for the weak - and to control my emotions and play them to my advantage, which I still have trouble doing, even now.
Some time after my training had begun, I was still incapable of using the Force - but I had gotten better, and Anoon had seen that too. However, my ability with a practice saber had gone through the roof - and pretty soon I was even giving my master a run for his money, even though I was convinced that he was just letting me win. In those few years I had been introduced to another form of combat, Shien, where I began to practice with training droids - to learn to deflect blaster rifle rounds. That seemed to be almost as difficult as using the Force, but I was capable of grasping at it more so than the mystic ability, so I wasn't that poorly in it. I was now a fifteen year old padawan, and hoping to further my training - but I was sorely mistaken. My master had grown tired of watching me struggle in using the Force, so he revoked me as his padawan, leaving me with no guidance. Without anyone to mentor me, I began to rely on myself - but also on my fellow trainees, and that was something that allowed me to grow. Soon after the abandonment, my fury began to allow me to use the Force - but I had to quickly seal that rage off, because I feared it would lean me to the Dark Side.
After one year of being without guidance, a master finally took me in - fully aware of my lack of Force power. She taught me everything I needed to know and even explained that the Force was just an enhancement. From her I learned the Niman form, which is just a condensed version of all the forms - and that was something that enhanced my lightsaber combat even further, and I was proud of myself for that. The next two years with my new female master was amazing, and I felt as if I had learned even more with her than I had my entire life with Anoon. With her at my side, I went to the temple to construct my lightsaber - my one tool of peace and destruction that I cherish, even to this day - and always will. In all honesty I had lost track of time when constructing my saber - but all I knew was that I had done it, and the Force had aided me in doing so - that meant something for sure, that Anoon had given up on me for no reason. With lightsaber in hand - I went on to do missions with my master, everything from diplomatic discussion up to combat - it was something of wonder. With the lack of parents since I had come to Shedu Maad - I had finally found someone that could actually fill that void in my heart, and it was my master.
Next came my trials, which were possibly one of the most difficult things that I could have possibly endured. With that being done, I was knighted - and that was something that I had only dreamed of, it gave me a new sense of purpose. I was a very young Jedi Knight, being only twenty-one, and that was something unheard of. Now all I was capable of doing was missions, but I requested that I be allowed to further my training, on my own - so with that, I was given a ship and let go. My first visit was something that I hadn't exactly planned, but I needed to land my ship and mess with my droid - because I wanted to go off the grid for a while. Genosis - the planet that almost caused me to die, until I displayed my power with the use of my lightsaber. After a long, unnecessary, drawn out battle - I was permitted to watch their beloved arena fights, and that was something interesting. I stayed here for months, until they allowed me to participate in them. Their language was hard to understand, but I managed to get the gist of it - and this is where I began to learn martial arts, more specifically in the form of Petranaki. To do most of the moves in their arsenal, however, you needed to be able to fly - so they helped me to the best of their ability. I was taught how to perform extreme acrobatics that were as close as humanly possible to flying, which enhanced my ability with the fighting style, tremendously. It was surprising that I got to leave peacefully, but it was deemed in my heart that it was time to depart and go elsewhere, in hopes of learning something else.
The next thing I learned was the Echani Art of martial arts on the planet of Eshan, which was a bit closer to the Jedi Academy than I had hoped. It was in the same system, so I hoped that no one would wander here and find me - because I didn't plan on returning any time soon. The subhuman species began to train me in their combat, but it seemed to be a bit difficult. I had never been forced to use my body like this, to be that agile and powerful with little to no effort - so it was very tiring, but in the long run it helped with my agility and endurance. In all honesty I was never really powerful in this form, it was just something to use if I needed an edge over an enemy, but I would never recommend this to the faint of heart, because it takes much dedication from the mind and body. With many scrapes and bruises, and what I believed to be fractured bones - I left the Eshan world, hoping to never return to it again. There were just some things that were not meant for humans, and this fighting style was one of them, because it was far to brutal and much to difficult to use without help of the Force. There was a small trading outpost not far from the system though, that I wanted to check out - because I had heard there was an ex-Galactic Republic Senate Guard that resided there, that was willing to teach the Hijikata form of combat, to those that he deemed worthy.
The rumors had been true, although the man wasn't exactly something I had imagined, because he was rather frail looking. Never judge a book by its cover though, because I had done that originally - and that was the biggest mistake of my life. After being beaten around several times, I tried to counter - and it was only by the Echani combat with the help of a bit of the Force, that I was able to prove my worth - and be taught the fabled Hijikata style. Utilizing opponent's attacks against them was something that I loved doing - and it was fun to even try it against someone that had mastered this form, which enabled for the most optimal training. Even though this was a deadly form, it was still easier to grasp than what I had learned on Eshan - and for that I was grateful, but also somewhat shocked. It had already been a full year since I had left the Jedi in the dust, and I was already beginning to miss them - my former master in particular. But ignoring any sentiment, I moved on - next heading to the Wookie home world, to see if I couldn't learn something from them, preferably not combat related - because I did value my body enough to where I didn't wish for it to be broken into thousands of pieces by a brute.
At first the natives were hostile, but after trying to speak something that I had learned in Wookie from a fellow Jedi in training, they accepted me. Of course I couldn't help but feel like they were laughing at my inability to speak their language, but at the same time - I was grateful. I quickly learned that Kashyyyk was a dangerous place, but it wasn't something I couldn't handle - although sparring with Wookie's wasn't something I had in mind. I learned their customs, their monsters that they feared on the grounds below their canopy cities - and I learned their language, to an extent. It was nearing the two year point that I had been gone, and somehow I had managed to spend nearly a year with the Wookies, which I hardly believed. But it also pained me to say goodbye to them, but all in all - it was destiny that I return to the Jedi Order to pledge my loyalty. After being told goodbye by all my new comrades, I jumped in my ship and immediately headed back home - I had fixed my droid too, so I was able to signal to them that I was returning. It hasn't been long since I have arrived back on Shedu Maad either - and very few people outside of the council know about it. I just hope that I can get my own apprentice or at least become a master in some way, but I will just have to see what is in store for me.
